Today's guest is Emily Bertrand, passionate equestrian & entrepreneur. Talk about a woman bridging the gap and working outside the box!
From the time Emily was a little girl she has always loved horses. Having had a rough early childhood of abuse and living below the poverty line, she learned from an early age that if you want something you need to work hard for it!
Horses were a much needed outlet in her life and a place where she felt safe, accepted, and appreciated.
She started working on farms at 12 years old to earn her riding time and at 14 worked 2 jobs to buy her very first horse on her own.
Fast forward to today...almost 12 years now in business, Emily had a passion and a vision which came to life. With the help of her mother, she has turned the once old run down dilapidated farm into a thriving business that gives back and provides a much needed outlet and escape for so many in Ottawa area.
