the doer of all things amazing and profound, the don't
oh all things non profound. Wow, it's the amazing colorist

(00:37):
of all things colorable.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Tony.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
I have a hunch you didn't write any of that down.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
I did not. No, no, and and number two fourteen,
Sparky says, Hi, right there, spa the ad to the
non viewing audience.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Sparky will be drawing what we see. We're gonna try
to describe it. Tony will describe the pictures once once
we settle in on on everything throughout the stories and
what had been going on throughout the week. Sparky has
actually been there, like a fly on the wall, like
a person in the corner who just blends into every background.
Sparky has been there. And Tony, we have a special

(01:14):
guest guest fourth square tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
We do we are very blessed this week they have
an amazing guests. Of course, Yeah I know, Ryan, I know,

the amazing, the one and only Ryan Jones.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Hi Joe, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Blessed their blessed Ryan. Ryan is an enthusiastic personality and
presence of course, to make the world here no feel
what it is to be loved by God? Am I
right there, sir.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
And standing at six foot nine.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
By the way, woo woo, you are a tall glass
of water.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
That's what I've heard.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
How many people have asked you if you played basketball? Everybody?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
My day to day conversation is typically here, here's here
it is. It's that do you play basketball? Is probably
the last thing. The one that gets me the most
is when people walk up to me and say, gosh,
you're tall, and my response is typically, well I woke
up like this.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I mean, this is what happens when you stretch?

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, do you play basketball? How's the
air up there? Those kinds of things, you know, I've
heard them all.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
You should give kids bad advice, Like kids, if you
eat candy every day, you can be this tall.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
I may start doing that.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Just get down, get down on one name and be like, listen,
ignore water, all of it, orange juice, just soda, just
a little bit of product placement. Here's some wild cherry
PEPSI makes you tall.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
There you go, There you go.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Happy, Happy, Happy Columbus Day, Ryan, Happy Columbus Day. You
know I've been telling people. You strike me as a
Columbus kind of guy.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
I forgot it was a holiday today.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Everybody forever until they get to the bank and they're like, what, yes,
what is what's going on here?

Speaker 2 (03:22):
I had the one grocery store nearby, right uh, they
said that they'll be closing two hours early for Columbus Day,
and I'm going to give it up to their employees
on that one. I don't know how you fought for that, guys,
but my hat's up to you the day.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
So what do you do if you close two hours early?
When what kind of celebration do you have?

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I'm guessing there has to be a cake, right, There
has to be a cake, because Columbus was. It was
a very interesting story where he.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Went to this one reason why I eat my pasta?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
There he goes right out of the can, just cracked it.
Up open about it. Amazing. So the what I mean
the play by play just a quick summary of Columbus
and Columbus day. Columbus went to Italy one day and
that's where he's from. His real name was at Christopher Columbo,

(04:17):
and then he latinized it by calling a Columbus. And
so he says, hey, Italy, I got an idea and
pitch them his idea. And Italy's like no, no, no no,
And so Columbus followed up by saying, well, do you
know any country that might want something like this? And
Italy was like maybe Spain, Yeah, probably Spain. So he

(04:39):
went over to Spain and Spain was like, okay, we
heard your pitch, and just one thing. I think you're
gonna need two more boats. Like what the fuck? Hell?
So I've said this many times, Tony's heard this is
Mountain the Spanish. The Spanish do not get enough credit

(05:02):
for being crazy bastards.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
They do not. They do not.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
All all of South America, the whole continent didn't speak
Spanish till Spain.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
M M true, including the Philippines. They went over there.
That's a long boat ride. That's a long plane ride.
From California, that's a long plane ride from Pennsylvania. You're
taking a boat from Spain with weapons. Holy shit, is
what's firing these people up right the whole way? What

(05:37):
kind of boat songs do you have to sing on
the way to the fucking what? That's gotta be a
year And they weren't even successful the first seven times?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Holy shit?

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Wow? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Columbus bumped into an island and he says, hey, aren't
you guys Indians?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
And they're like no. He's like, okay, you are now.
Oh I'm here for salt pepper. You know.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
I came with the grocery list and they were like,
oh wait wait I got onto that here.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
He's like, okay, uh, plan B get in the boat.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Genocide oh plenty.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
And they're like, okay, cool, where we're going. He's like,
I don't know you're rowing though, Jesus christ.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Wow. Yeah, you learned something new every day, so you see,
I tell people all the time I want to be
a lifelong learner, so I just starting something new.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Oh yeah, and you are strapped in, sir, because this
is only the tip of the iceberg as far as
it comes to Christopher Columbo. Columbo once he uh he
actually took prisoners and took uh and genocide.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Clearly, he he created a genocide of Indian culture. Uh.
He went back to the Spaniards and they said, well,
I guess this is what I found. And they gave
him ten more boats.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
He was like, you're right about the three boat thing, guys,
and they're like, cool, more boats than right.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
He's like, I guess we already did it. Yeah, let's
keep going. But they gave him, they gave him a
day and now it is a shared day with indigenous
people day. So they got both things going. And you
know it's uh.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Because he never want to leave them out.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
No, of course not. No, it's just it's a weird.
It's it's just I remember even asking the teacher if
Columbus discovered American in fourteen ninety two? Was he the
first president of America? And my teacher looked at me
and said, go talk to the priest about it. So
I did, and the priest put on Barry White, started

(07:51):
lighting some candles and taught me a little bit of
history that is not very white, but good.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Good reference.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Ain't get enough, you love, babe. He's like, well, actually
it is misconceived. You know, I'm like, damn, this guy's
got a hairy chest. So that's a nightmareson. That's a
nightmare scenario right there. But that's all right. So three decades,
it says, for over three decades, people have allowed themselves
to be inspired and transformed by the words of mister

(08:22):
Ryan Lamont Jones. Oh he's been a profound, spiritual leader
and acclaimed empowerment legend. His approachable and humble six foot
nine stature, as well as his charismatic, contagious, enthusiastic personality
and presence make people take notice. This ordained minister has
over fifteen years experience as a dynamic, nationally respected, award winning,

(08:47):
highly sought after, certified speaking profession, improvement specialist, transformational trainer,
on air radio personality, and an off there. Ryan has
a mandate message and mission to educate, elevate and in
power all those who hear him and take the challenge.

(09:09):
Holy crap, he's been Ryan, Yeah, he's been named one of.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
The top twenty five. Didn't crack the top twenty that's okay,
uh speaking shaping this. I want to meet the people
that beat you Ryan on this one, you know, because
I think they're fucking liars. I'm guaranteeing their liars. I've
seen people. I've seen people pay their way to the
front of the line. You know you didn't just they
it's it's bull crap. The TikTok has popped up before saying, hey,

(09:37):
you guys want ten thousand extra views for ten bucks? Dude,
you TikTok, you're making but sticks this week ridiculous. You've
it says that you've traveled extensively across the country empowering
individuals to become behold the best, blessed, first rate, valuable
version that they are crafted, created and constructed. Can you

(09:59):
lay on some specifications of all that.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
That's that's a mountain of climb right there, Ryan.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
So at the end of the day.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
What is it that you do right?

Speaker 3 (10:19):
It is just too so. I think so many people
when we started talking a little bit about this, in
so many different ways, so many people set up for
just being average and never look at looking at life
and being above average. We become content with the content

(10:40):
and installed instead of us living an extraordinary life, we
typically want to live an ordinary life. It's simpler that way.
And so again, you know, as I've stated, I want
to be the significant servant leader that I have been
called to be because I'm again, if I'm not willing
to serve on the lowest level, then I can never
be if you get on the highest. And so platforms

(11:02):
like this and people and opportunities is just having the
opportunity just to speak life into people, to say something
at the end of the.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Day that will breach break.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Yeah, and so that's it. That's it. You know, being
six foot nine, number one at six', NINE i get
approached every day BECAUSE i MEAN i draw. Attention i'm six.
Nine so in THAT i learned how to make people
feel at ease when they are around. Me you see
the six foot nine black guy walk into a room

(11:37):
that it's, like.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Whoa that makes everybody feel at. Ease they're, like, oh
thank god the six foot nine black guys.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Here, yeah breathe now every, Time.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
No, NO i need to throw this little icing on the.
Cake for anyone that is not watching this on. Video
ryan is a very good Looking like if you when
you think of a six foot nine, person like you,
know you don't you don't expect to see what we
are seeing right. Here and you're a very good looking
guy like thank. YOU i can only imagine at six,

(12:07):
nine you, know with the with the voice Of Barry
manilow and the looks Of DENZEL i, MEAN i don't.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
KNOW i wouldn't.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
SAY i wouldn't Say Barry. Manilow, tony you know Who
Barry manilo. Is, Yes, Oh, MANDY i.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Think he's got a concert coming To atlanta. Soon by the,
way go, ahead.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Well Ryan hour to describe, You i'd say that you
look like a less corrupt version Of Tyler. PERRY i
heard that was.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Corrupt, okay that's a that's a better call than.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Mine instead of sounds Like Barry, Manilow i'm, like the.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
Fuck maybe a down version Of Barry, white but Not.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
That's WHAT i would look at.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
This we were looking, For, Okay, OKAY i still, Said,
mandy one Of barry Man, oul those most famous songs
That tony dunblan and, said, yes more chips, Continue.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Arry white is WHAT i was looking. For.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Okay we got. To we got.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
To, So, ryan what has been one of your most
in your, opinion one of your most successful speaking.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Tours oh my, god we can go least.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Successful we can least successful if you, want because those
ones stick out. Too you, Know i've done stand up
for about fifteen. YEARS i can tell you probably my
my least successful, show and you, know blame, myself blame the,
audience blame the, venue, Whatever BUT i can also tell
you the most. Successful but either which, way whatever one
sticks out to you and the, most you, KNOW.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
I think probably ONE i had the opportunity to go
to The ukraine and. SPEAK i spoke at an event
in The. Ukraine now years, ago this was this was
actually before NINETY i believe it, was and they were
just coming out of the, communism so you had stalling
statues all over the, place and it was just having that.

(14:10):
Opportunity AND i think that's probably where, TOO i discovered
a little bit about myself in being able to enlighten
people because number, one very few people Spoke english and
THEN i had to use an. Interpreter but then having
that opportunity to relay a message of, HOPE i think,
that's you, know just having that that. Opportunity so that's
probably the one that really sticks out the. Most BUT i,

(14:34):
mean each and every DAY i have the opportunity to
make an impact someplace.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Somewhere whenever you're whenever you're using an, interpreter it kind
of feels like a long ech oh my, god where
you're saying something you don't get the crowd's reaction quite,
yet and then you gotta you, know, yeah a little delayed.
Reaction so you really have to be comfortable with the
silence while on stage delivering that kind of, stuff and
that takes a lot of conf which people are lacking these. Days,

(15:02):
ryan in your, opinion why are people lacking so much
confidence in themselves and so much self love social?

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Media we we we, have we have dialed into seeing
images on social media and.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
By the, way right in our clientele rate here.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Because i've seen BECAUSE i, CAN i can play ping
pong with, that Because i've seen people that shouldn't have
confidence on social media.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
But have a ton of. It oh, huge, Huge you're,
like holy, crap you're proud of yourself for, this and they're, like,
ah WATCHES i do the hit myself on the head
with the hammer challenge over and over.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
And parted into a Pot look at this this.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Guy's you, know.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
That's. It and so we've dialed into that and the
images that people put out, there you, know they make
you feel LIKE i don't, know you know that they're
living this life that they're really. Not and and so
we begin as a society because we want to be

(16:09):
like somebody else that we're not confident in what we
already possess and who we already, had already. Are AND
i tell people all the time to knock you got
socks off right quick. Right everybody has what we call
WHAT i call tags t ags your, talents your, abilities your,
gifts and your. Skills at six foot, Nine i'm not
A Magic. JOHNSON i cannot and could never handle the

(16:31):
ball like A Magic. JOHNSON i can't shoot like A
Larry bird or or or A kareem abdudes bar and those.
GUYS i. Can't that's not When i'm gifted that or
When i'm skilled At i'm skilled at WHAT i know
how to do on the basketball. Court and SO i
think what we have to do in life is the
focus on what we're good, at what is your area of,

(16:53):
expertise what are you really good? At and stick to
your wheelhouse and then and then if you stick to,
that THAT i think helps build your confidence because you
know exactly where you need to be and you're operating
in that area that you need to operate.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
In and so some people actually react differently as. Well
when they see somebody having a lot of cool, stuff
some people react, like, Oh i'll never have. That i'm
not as. Good they'll they'll they'll, self they'll kill themselves
about it. Internally but other people they see that and
they want to not only match, it but they want

(17:30):
to exceed what others are also. Doing so it's that
swinging door effect that for some odd reason inspires others
and makes other people kind of shrivel up.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
There but here, again it's the images that we. See you,
know all those images are not necessarily, real and the
ones that are. Real you don't know what a person
had to go through to achieve those.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
THINGS i, WOULD i, would but ALSO i, would you,
know add on to, it maybe that.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
It's how you're raised as. Well like if your parents are, saying,
hey you're good at blah blah, blah and the kid,
sucks they're, like, well you're great at sucking at, this,
then because whatever you're, not it's it's not a bad
thing that you're terrible at. Bowling, hell some of the
worst PEOPLE i know are great. Bowlers. Whatever onto the next.
Thing so the and then you have you, know parents

(18:26):
that are you, know you see them sometimes and they're
yelling at their kid to put back the orange, juice
grab the orange, soda and you're, like what the fuck
is going on over? There, yeah Every Walmart i've ever been,
to there's been some child being screamed at and the
kid's got the right. Idea you. KNOW i saw a
kid the one. Time he's grabbing a whole bag of.
Apples he's telling his. Mom he's, like can we get?
This she's, like, no no one's gonna eat. That put it.

(18:48):
Back And i'm, like holy, crap what the hell happened
to this? World BUT i. CAN'T i have to get
the hell in there and out of, there because it's
it's kind of like holding your, breath you, know bite your,
tongue holding your. Breath it's like trying to live underwater
for a little. Bit you don't want to be there
for too long because you can't be there for too

(19:11):
long with the h with the you, know overhearing of
poison being given to these kids verbally by their own
parents that are supposed to be building them. Up if
you're gonna have a, kid exactly if you're gonna have, children,
right and you decide on, that you're you want to
make sure that they're raised in in the in the best,

(19:32):
uh in the best household, possible to give them as
much confidence as possible as. Well and you know, this
the the perception is people have only so much. Patience
they get a little bit of bang from their photos
On facebook and all that nice, stuff but then when
it comes down to the reality of dealing every day
with their, children, man they want, Out they want out so.

(19:55):
Bad and then the ones that truly want, in, well
now you have overreach programs where you have child protective
services really just in the wrong areas because they don't
want to go to the actual wrong areas because there's
more paperwork over. There you, know let's go to the
ones where there's just a medium amount and go knocking

(20:15):
on some doors and popping into some, houses disrupting the
natural flow of. People and you got doctors working for
pharmaceutical companies constantly trying to poison the kids with whatever
they can give, them as far as riddling in the,
schools as far as fucking any kind of psych medication
to kill any personality or spirit that's ever been driven

(20:36):
up inside of them to have so this leads to
detached emotions and then everybody's wondering why are there so
much violence in. Schools it's because you're not allowing the
normal flow of emotions to happen between one person to the.
Next you're blocking all these emotions until they finally just
explode into what we see as far as the violence

(20:56):
with school shootings and excess bullying online and you, know
self inflicted wound suicide rates are up per, capita not
just because there's more, people but per capita every. Year
and we also have more of these people on antidepressive.
Medications but somehow the antidepressive medications have a side effect

(21:17):
called may commit. Suicide thanks for the pointing, There. Tony
you're like one of those videos WHERE i see people. Too, yeah.
DON'T i don't get. It But sparky's got something there
on the big board that's more important than all of
that right. Now he was somewhere doing something and to
flip that board around, There, sparky we got something going?
On what is?

Speaker 3 (21:37):
It?

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Hey are you the guy From Happy? Gilmore do you
THINK i Am? Carl? Why, YES i? Am where is
the wooden.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
Hand he's saying that you kind of look Like chubbs
From Happy.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Gilmore ryan is have you ever gotten?

Speaker 3 (21:51):
That or, No i've not gotten that.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Hand like tucked in the.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
Arm it's all everyone all in the.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Hips as a matter of, FACT i need to see
the second one. OUT i think that there's a second
one out right.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Now or, yeah it wasn't Very oh you do not
need to see? That, okay, yeah it makes that makes everything.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
You've seen the first, one you've seen the second.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
One, no, no, okay it's actually worse because you're actually. Attached,
okay so the first, one they didn't have a whole
movie Where Happy gilmore talks and gets along with his
dad right for you to get attached to the character that.
Much it was just like a quick dark joke where you,
know oh my, god his dad dies and now he
goes to his grandma's, house so it's quick cut to.
It no dialogue between, It, no nothing like. That in

(22:38):
the second, one spoiler, alert his wife. Dies now we
know her from the first. Movie she still could have
been in the second, movie but, bam they kill her
off with a golf ball that he, hit and it
just felt very forced and formulaic all Around, trumps by the,
way had a kid who has his hand also Out
carl what you know. Exactly so they took the same

(22:59):
case character concept and change zero about it except the,
name and now he's a son of the old. Character.
Hailey Joe osmond was in the, movie And i'm not
really sure why because the plot was just. Awful Adam
sandler was either forced to do this Or netflix was, like,

(23:19):
hey we're gonna need a moment money and he's, like, okay,
COOL i got an. Idea Rob schneider was in there
to just reprise a role of the you can Do
it guy from Water boy in The Happy gilmour. Universe
it was just it was something not worth. WATCHING i
had to sit. Down it took me four days to
watch it BECAUSE i shut it off that many. Times

(23:41):
it was it was that, bad AND i really gave
it a. CHANCE i gave it like twenty minutes And
i'm like, Boom i'm, out and then another ten minutes
fucking out and, yeah it's not even good background noise
because by the time you look at, it you know
how you can put on like two and a half
men and it the background noise which, ironically is the
amount of men That Charlie sheen claims to have sex

(24:01):
with now two and a half? Men you, know just
doing that whole, thing you know where he's, like, NO
i just, figured, Hey i'm not the orgy wrong, orgy
but why not JUST.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
I like how it's two and a half?

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Man, yeah, yeah that that other halfed man he was
he was once a, woman so it kind of counts
as half you. Know so that's they were doing the
math politically, Correct, Tony i'll have you knows L G
b T q approved and stamp it, anyways they approved.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
It you know WHAT i want to hear About Ryan
jones your? Book you're an, author? Correct you seem surprised
when you're when you're, like it's just all, right what
is the name of your? Book where can you find?
It what is it?

Speaker 3 (24:47):
About which?

Speaker 2 (24:48):
One he's got a lot going?

Speaker 1 (24:52):
On whoa Let.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
So the last book is Called The power of and
so it's talking about the power of let's, say the
power of saying, yes the power of, belief the power
of your, words the power of. Fault so they're different
chapters that talk about the power of whatever that last word,
is the power OF i am and and a lot

(25:17):
of times we don't realize that we do have, power
that we believe it or. Not you, know we can
we begin to speak things and we say it from
a spiritual, standpoint you, know speak those things that are
not as though they.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Were but we.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Can we we have to learn how to speak. Life you,
know if you you, know wanted to be the comedian
and you wanted to sit out to be on these particular,
stages you've got to say. It and so in that
that's what that's how that book came, about which is
my last. Book and then the one prior to that
is why stay here when there is? Calling because all

(25:56):
of us we've got to, there that's called. Us but here,
again we begin to be content with the content and
we don't want to, move and so we stay where
we're in the in this moment of. Here and the
last EXAMPLE i give with that, is AS i always
tell people all the, time what you have to. Do

(26:16):
when we were in, school the teacher calls the, row
everybody in the classroom says. Here but we thought that
person who said present was an, idiot because you, know
everybody else Said i'm. Here but then that one or
two people said, present And i've learned over, life we
really do have to be present because there are too
many people that are, here but there are very few

(26:39):
people that are. Present they'll have to learn how.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
To question and impersonally what do you think as far
as technology and the fact that everyone needs to not
necessarily not be in the, moment but they choose not
to be in the. Moment so peopleople who are at,
concerts they're on, vacation, uh they're they're out hiking, somewhere

(27:07):
are spending way too much time on what other people
think where you are instead of living in the moment
and being where you. ARE i think that's so like so,
meaningful you, know and and not to say it's it's,

(27:27):
meaningful but it's it's uh, Prolific like it's a prolific
statement that you just need to make in your, life you.
Know just be in the. Moment don't worry about what
other people are thinking where they want you to. Be
you be it and you are.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
There, yeah we got the the the word. Present though
you touched on something, There i'm going to retouched on.
It it's you have to be there for your own.
Life so many people want to get, drunk they want
to smoke some, pot they want to do their own.
Thing you go around one, time how much of this

(28:05):
life do you really want to be there for is
up to, you but you should be there for it every.
Day you should want to be there for it every.
Day that, way if you make a mistake along the,
way you might remember where that mistake was and you
might be able to fix. It but the the the
to have the presence of, mind to be aware of

(28:27):
of where you're going is is very very. SIGNIFICANT i
HAVE i have not drank alcohol in six, Years, RYAN
i have not drank alcohol in six. Years AND i
look at and some people have one way to feel about,
that some people have another way of HOW i did.
It AND i looked at exactly how THE aa program

(28:48):
worked and realized there was a relapse rate IN h
and the and THE aa. Program SO i said to,
MYSELF i have to do the opposite of what they're,
doing you, know to complete, opposite you, know and you,
know for those that believe In, god that's perfectly, fine
but that's that's perfectly. Fine BUT i had to Take

(29:09):
god out of the. EQUATION i had to take the
after life out of the equation, completely because IF i
did take the after life out of the, equation then
there's only this. Life this is, it this is. It
and if this is it and there's nothing, afterwards well
why AM i? Drinking Why why WOULD i have to?
Drink IF i am, DRUNK i am spoiling the. HEAVEN

(29:34):
i am trying to create on earth right, now, Right
that's HOW i try to look at.

Speaker 5 (29:39):
It.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
RIGHT i took the concept of love AND i, said
you got to get rid of, it because that'll cause
you to drink. Too all the, causalities you, know take
that right. Out no, way love, interests get rid of,
Them be done with the. Idea any friends that wanted to,
drink talk to, them don't hang out sort of. Thing

(30:02):
heya tries to, say get you around and talk about.
Whatever all you're doing is allowing addiction to talk to
addiction to talk to. Addiction and they're all training each.
Other all the addictions are training themselves to lie a
lot better instead of starving the addiction like the dog
that keeps. Biting everybody always gonna be with. You you're

(30:25):
always gonna remember how you felt when you were drinking
and how you're you, know having a good time or
a bad time or. Whatever how you have these cool stories,
sometimes but there comes a point where you realize all
you're doing is drinking and talking and you ain't getting nothing,
done and that is the. Problem sparky has something on

(30:47):
the big board that might bring us back down to. Earth, Though,
Sparky i'm excited about. This he, says the power of
an electric. MOTOR i would be In spain by. Now
oh look at. That that's beautiful right. There they thank
you for The Columbus day throwback of the electric motor
that should have been invented back. Then how much faster
the world would have burned? Down we have no. Idea

(31:11):
not for The tony's favorite girl was in the news
over her flotilla. Again she had a cornucopia of flotilla's
and they all got arrested about two weeks.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
Back, Now, RAN i don't know if you know Who
Greta thunberg.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
Is, hmm no.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Email?

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Activist?

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Yes why is fame is over the the activism In
greenland right at that point in time where she was
trying to stop oil, companies, uh deforestation and all that
other fun stuff that comes along with the you, know
not to say with, progress but but with you, know

(31:53):
what was going. On so she decided a little while
back she got a fun call and she was, like, Hello,
hello who's? These and a guy came up on the
on the phone.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Thumburn sound like, that.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
And she said who's this and he, SAID I my Name's.
Bob i'm doing a flotilla to the most wonderful uh
places that you could ever, imagine The Gaza. Strip, oh you're, Right,
Ryan you're right when you.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
Say uh, yeah it's it's one of those things that
are never a prize on will of fortune on the
trip to The Gaza.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Strip, wow, yeah you're the. Winner, wow you're the winner
of a flotilla filled with twenty three, horny unadulterated men
on a ship with one woman twenty.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Three screaming at you sitting they're the. Captain, now what
the hell?

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Happened this?

Speaker 1 (33:05):
Way she went to The Gaza strip on this flotilla of.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Love loltilla of.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Love there is when the flotillas are, rocking you better
not come a.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Knocking it is energy, now it is more energy efficient
than a. Sailboat, true, True, hey because flotilla's use the
same wood to flotilla themselves, over so no extra cotton
or seed is. Used and, uh people were Telling gret

(33:40):
and they, said, hey if you're so cool about the,
environment why are you taking planes? Plazes and she's, like
oh my, god you're, Right i'm a hypocrite and they're like,
yeah now shut the fuck. Up and then she's, like no,
way you, know and that got got and, uh you,
know put out her her h parade of kind of

(34:02):
like a craigslisting looking for men to help build me
something hard with wood is what the thing. Said and
you wouldn't believe how many people were ready to volunteer
to help a nineteen year old who looks.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
Thirty Page reddit. Section she looks super.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Young, yeah a lot of people came to her door
expecting to See Chris. Hansen i'm sure maybe you, know
but they were, like, oh it's a real. Boat WELL
i guess we're doing this.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Then so they take this party, Boat ryan And nates
cruise to The Gaza strip where they became.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Captured, yeah, yeah, baby. Yeah who was just like what and,
yeah they were like, no it's a real. Thing he's, like,
okay so we can bomb. Them they're like, no, no,
no it's a little. Girl, no you probably just arrest.
Them he's, like but, MURDER i, KNOW i, KNOW i,
know it's kind of your. Thing you're kind of like

(35:03):
The Jewish Dick. Cheney but you, know it's a whole
other subject right. There so they arrested her and her
friends did a purp walk and they said don't come back.
Here that was one month ago with one. Flotilla now
they have had fifteen flotillas coming down, there fifteen of

(35:27):
them coming down that they've blown. Up one was blown,
up one was blown up just because they were, like,
well what did we.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Tell you have one?

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Example, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Yeah greta got deported. Again and now After, gaza The Gaza,
stripper The gaza strip, whatever The Israel palestinian conflict has
come to a slight. Ceasefire Greta thunderberg has come out
and said it was because of her flotillas that there was,
peace not because everyone decided to just take the money

(35:59):
and hit the, cell but on whatever they were making
off the. War but you, know, No.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
Ryan you may be thinking to, yourself how was she
treated while she was in this? Country and the the
answer is not very.

Speaker 6 (36:11):
Well, no she was sped rations and she was, mistreated
and they were the roaches, everywhere and she barely got
any sleep while being, detained and she was questioned uncontrollably.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
A lot of.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
Questions, yeah all the, questions especially when you, know if
they're saying it in one language and she's saying it
in another.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
LANGUAGE i, mean you're not going to get each other's
answers one way or. Another but, yeah it's That's tony's
favorite word to. Say for like the last, YEAR i got,
RIGHT i SWEAR i got the. Call i'm at work
and he's over. There he's, Like he's, like, yo so
you wouldn't believe. This greta's got a float Tilla And i'm,
like Who's? Greta what are you talking? About? Man he

(36:56):
sent me The. Lincoln i'm, like oh my, god this
Is she's gonna get herself infamy. Forever like how How i'm,
LIKE i, said the poor girl's gonna get herself, killed you,
Know LIKE i, DON'T i don't. Know I'm i'm looking
up getting back To ryan, Here i'm looking UP A
season Of change or BOOK A season Of change now

(37:19):
if you buy the book, new this is an OPTION
i haven't seen On amazon. Before if you buy the book,
new it's twenty. Dollars if you buy it, used fifteen
dollars seventy four.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Cents i've never seen that.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Either, yeah it's it's on, here and it's it's a. Book,
yeah it's a different, thing because how do we know
it's a used?

Speaker 3 (37:40):
One you?

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Know how used is? It are there pages ripped? OUT
i don't. KNOW i have no. IDEA i would suggest
just buy the new. Book it's. TWENTY i spend twenty
dollars on lottery tickets today and regretted it because we
got to watch me lose and my wife lose on
the tickets On Jurassic park, tickets and you, know just
to she's never bet on a scratch lottery ticket. Before

(38:02):
So i'm, like screw. It let's get two of them
and let's feel the regrets sam. Together but a season of?
Change can you describe? It Because i'm reading the back
of the, book BUT i think that you might have
a little bit more insight on what you wrote the
book about and what people have taken away from. It
there are two reviews here THAT i can read real

(38:23):
quick for. You it is a verified purchaser From. Amazon
they wanted to be a remaining. Anonymous it Says ryan
has a way of expression that is beyond any THAT
i have. Read he speaks to the heart and soul
of the. Reader it is truly worth the purchase and
the read five stars they give it awesome and, amazing

(38:43):
and then Another amazon cost another five star review. Here
this book was inspiring and definitely provides insight on what
change can do for your. Life oftentimes we allow our
circumstances to determine our. Futures when you know the power
you possess within and how to use your, tags, talents,
abilities gifts and skills to benefit, others then you know

(39:07):
that you are able to take off the limits and
post and live a life of. Abundance this is a
great book for self assurance and self. Awareness so they
not only took a lot that was from a twenty
twenty right now this is a time twenty twenties when
you can actually sit, down read a, book wash your,
hands get back to the, news and watch people talk

(39:29):
about the big bad wolf OF covid at the time
where you're, like what does the wolf look? Like, ah,
well it's. Weird the it won't go in this. County
this line it says no to but this, one the disease,
stopped and, uh you, know the population is. Whatever it's,
like oh my, god, guys you're terrible at lying. Anymore

(39:52):
it's like watching someone who used to be really great at.
Something and then you, know Like Tiger, woods where you're just,
like my, God, Tiger you're playing golf like a person
who's just had sex With denny. Waitresses what the hell
is going on?

Speaker 3 (40:04):
There?

Speaker 2 (40:05):
Man why you're walking like you have got to? READ
i mean maybe you. Know and Then Steroid scandal all
the good stuff right. There But, ryan what is your
take on your own? Book i'm sure a lot of
people who have purchased it would love to.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
KNOW A season Of change was written really because, again
we all needed, change we all needed to do something
a little. Different the book was probably this thick WHEN
i started, it AND i ended up getting ABOUT i
think it was eighty eighty something on. PAGES i think

(40:41):
that's what it. Was but, really how do we go
through life and how do we affect change in our own?
Life because we got change going on all around, us
but a lot of us are not willing to change.
Within and so that was the book that just it
and it's a it's a variation of different things in.

(41:02):
There off the top of my. Head one of, them
one of the, chapters Because i've written so much stuff,
down was talking about living your, best your, bigger, better
bold or, brighter batter something something life and how do
you do? That and it's just really having the opportunity

(41:25):
to really make a change within as we continue to,
change you, know around in. Society LIKE i said, Earlier
i'm a lifelong. LEARNER i want to and that's the
bringing up out change, is you, know how DO i
become a better version of WHO i was? Yesterday to
sum it, up.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
You, know, Yeah i'm a very it's very well put
all around to.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
YOU i mean you.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
Follow up questions for. That number, One let's go to
the board With sparky BECAUSE i want to say what he.
HAS i want to see what he has up. Here
he's on fire.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
Today by the, way use of?

Speaker 1 (42:04):
Change CAN i use thought to pay the toll on
The Ocean? Turnpike how dare?

Speaker 3 (42:11):
You d, oh? Greta so here's how you do. That
you have to pull the salt from the salt.

Speaker 7 (42:25):
Water that's, true that's a, desalionization, Right, yeah they had
that idea In San diego For california to never have
any worries about.

Speaker 2 (42:37):
Droughts and at the Time Governor brown, said uh, no
let's try to negotiate a better. Price and they were, like,
oh so, no this is the, price and they're, like
let's not do it. Then and then the same salionization
plant contracted everything to a little country Called Saudi arabia

(42:59):
for their new products In. Dubai but Then california came
by again and, said, hey we're ready to do that
thing that we should have done, also and they're, like,
yeah so we don't have anything for you right, now you.

Speaker 3 (43:11):
Know.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Sorry So Governor newsom at the time had the good
idea to try to negotiate. Something he failed at it
because you, know you can't you, know take blood from
a stone or. Whatever the, hell can't get what isn't.
Available so then in retaliation he ended up taxing the

(43:32):
company a lot of, money which is a lot of,
fun you, know just raising. Taxes and the raising of
taxes was to build better reservoir foundations up in Northern,
california which didn't are still actually incomplete till this, day
which is. Wonderful you know What Wonderful. Jobs from the

(43:54):
other book Is The. Email The email By Ryan Lamont.

Speaker 3 (44:00):
Jones that book came about let me SO i was
speaking at a conference for it was a middle, school high,
school elementary, school so that was a cluster type of.
Event keynot, speaker they're. Asked they asked me months ago

(44:21):
to come be the keynot. Speaker So i'm sitting in a.
ROOM i never write out my, speeches by the. Way
i'm sitting in the room And i'm getting ready to
go on, stage and it's, Like, Okay, ryan what are
you going to say to all these young men out?
Here what is it that you're going to? Say AND
i start, Writing, okay THE e you, Exceptional you're, educated you,
empowered you are. Enlightened AND i just kind of went

(44:43):
down and made a list of the, words and that's
how the book came. About and WHEN i got, HOME i,
said there's going to be something THAT i could put
into a, book AND i just started. Writing and so
THE e stands for The Exceptional. Mail by the, way
BECAUSE i think too many. Men we had a lot
of good men and great men out, there but it
takes a real, man different kind of man to be
an exceptional.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
Male and we got a lot of we got a
lot of good men that are easily manipulated by bad.
Women you got a lot of bad men that are
good at manipulating good. Women and, uh you know it's
it's a it's an ebb and flow right. There the
the did you have any? Follow do you do like
question and answers at the end of your talks or

(45:24):
during your?

Speaker 3 (45:24):
TALKS i. DO i do a lot of, that just
because you know people and and AND i prefer that
part of it as opposed to me standing on stage
for however Long i'm on to, speak just do A
q AND a because that begins to open up a
lot more in my. Mind and THEN i begin to
speak a lot of, things and things will come to

(45:44):
me THAT i have to write down later Because i'm,
like oh, wait that was that was really Good, ryan right, now.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
Right and the one thing that always bothers me is
that if you don't have a degree in something, specific
it bothers me when people dismiss somebody that doesn't have
a doctorate or a sociology degree in. Something but it's
still speaking in more relatable fashion and truer fashion than

(46:11):
than somebody that would have that kind of. Degree are
you you're? Now are you a doctor of any sordier?
Now and you don't need to be and you don't
need to.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
Be to your, POINT i have so many friends and
people THAT i really, know most of them in the
entertainment industry that are receiving now these these these pH
these honorary. Doctorates IF i don't earn, IT i don't need. It,
yeah that's just my. Philosophy so thank.

Speaker 1 (46:41):
You SO i have to ask the ultimate, question what's
going to blow your mind for a. Second out of
all of these particular outlets that you have done over your,
years what is the best layer of advice that you
have ever given?

Speaker 3 (46:57):
Someone, wow besides being authentic and being true to who you,
ARE i think that that's genuinely. IT i have been
in a blessed in being in a position to be
able to meet a whole lot of, people not gonna name,
names but just being in the room Because i've learned

(47:23):
how to just be genuine and be you, guys just being,
authentic just being, genuine just being WHO i truly. AM
i don't know how to be anybody, Else AND i
think that's one of the biggest advice is that piece
of advice That i've given people just be, true to
be true to who you, are because it goes back
to the social media, thing because we watch people on

(47:43):
social media and we want to be like that, person
but is that person? Truly is that what you.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
See is That the biggest feedback that you're getting from
the younger crowd is that when you're worried about they're
worried about achieving something as fast as somebody else a
faster because you, know when you're a, kid you start
hearing these stories about great people that did it at
this age, already you. Know and not to put too

(48:12):
much pressure on the whole, world BUT i don't think
anybody is going to really Outdo. Mozart you, know he's
six years.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
Old Piazingly, kevin Amazingly. Kevin they did have someone coming
to come over the other day to, me, yeah and they, said,
WOW i really love your. Show how CAN i be like?

Speaker 2 (48:29):
Sparky oh, Okay so we know it wasn't one of
Those indian bought, people, right you, know where they're just
like WHAT i could.

Speaker 4 (48:36):
Do was LIKE i give you fifteen thousand, subscribers but fifty, dollars, like,
DUDE i don't even know.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
You who are? You you, know hang up the? Phone
how did you get my? Number sparky is The sparky's
definitely the highlight of the. Show Every we have sold
more merchandise With sparky's face on it SAYING i draw
WHAT i see than the Pod guy's podcast shirts they
came in. Second and of course the ghosts coming out

(49:01):
Of madonna's vagina stick figure shirts That Doctor Frankman Bill
murray had to zap away sort of. Thing we've had a, whole,
uh a whole two years dedicated, to, uh to that.
Idea you. Know we started going one day where oh,
GOD i was in The philippines at the time and
we were doing a. SHOW i, WAS i was from,

(49:24):
there and Then tony was going on about How madonna
wanted to make a non fungible token of her of
her area like, that and AND i was JUST i
got on a little with me And tony got onto
like a ping pong back and forth of uh.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
See, weirdly a ping pong thing is different in The
philippines than it is here in The United.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
States a ping, pong a ping pong thing is actually
a name of a restaurant over. There it's called A
Ping pong king though A ping punk, ting you, know
it's a it's their best attempt At chinese.

Speaker 1 (49:57):
Cuisine BUT i want to get into. TAGS i want to
get into tags. Talents as far as your, talent what
would be the one thing that you would tell somebody
to find what they, love of, course and to make
that into their. Talent is it the love of the,
Game is it the love of whatever they're? Doing is

(50:20):
it the you, know because everything takes. Practice we have
not become a great bought, podcast you know because of
the way that we happen to ask questions over years
and years and thousands of entertainmenttainers that we have talked
to throughout our plethora of years.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
Here well we've pissed some people off too. Before oh,
Yeah so.

Speaker 1 (50:47):
You, know it takes, time and it takes, energy and
it takes. Patience AND i think patience is the number
one key. Ingredient but what would you say about, that?

Speaker 3 (50:58):
Sir it does take. Patients it takes a lot of.
Patients one of the things that we have to, REALLY
i guess hone into and tap into is too many
people spend too much time giving one percent to one

(51:20):
hundred things as opposed to giving one hundred percent to one.
Thing if we did, that we begin to tap into
what we're really good, at your, tags your. Talents what
are you really good? At if all of your bills
are paid and you don't have to worry about, anything
and you got the money that you, need what would

(51:43):
you do for? Free what would you do for?

Speaker 2 (51:48):
FREE i, mean, technically if people are meeting their bills
right with the paychecks that they're bringing, in they're doing
what they're doing for? Free everything you know?

Speaker 3 (51:58):
True but did you? So so just imagine you've got your?
Cover what is it that you get up every day
and you do that for? Free and so when you
start beginning to answer, though Like i've been doing public,
Speaking i've done so many public speaking events for, free
BUT i had to build my. Brand And i'm now SINCE,

(52:22):
covid you, know don't do as many AS i used to,
do BECAUSE i, MEAN covid just kind of just changed
the game for. Everybody but that that was. It it took.
Me it took me some, years, Patients, tony as you,
said to build my, brand to be able to go
out and to have people, say, Hey, ryan we want
you to come speak for this, event and so it

(52:44):
it's it's. Patients it takes that. Patience but if we
focused on that one thing and gave one hundred of
effort to, it you begin to see your life going
in a different.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
Direction DID i give you another book? Idea by the?

Speaker 3 (52:58):
Way you did? It you really did.

Speaker 1 (53:02):
There it is. Patience do it.

Speaker 4 (53:04):
Up Put tony's face on the back of the, thing you,
know like this is, yeah the back of the, cover you, know.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
And happens to ask a. Question and we haven't done
this in A we haven't done this in a while
because we haven't had such a, superfluous amazing guest like yourself.

Speaker 3 (53:27):
In a.

Speaker 1 (53:27):
While in a, while you, know we've Had we've had our.
Guests we've had some crazy, guests we have some some great,
interaction some great. Banter But kevin has a, question and
it's an amazing.

Speaker 2 (53:38):
Question, ryan would you consider being on this podcast the
peak of your?

Speaker 3 (53:47):
Career the answer would be, ABSOLUTELY i know. IT i know.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
It this is That welcome to the top of the. Mountain,
otherfuckers we're, here we are, Here we're doing. It say
this is peak. Time so many people say, no and
there are a bunch of. Nobodies we knew that the
only people that actually say. Yes we know that the
only people that actually say yes are the people that
are always doing, stuff because every day is the peak

(54:15):

Speaker 2 (54:20):
Ryan where will you be? Next where will you be speaking?

Speaker 3 (54:23):
Next? At so there's an event here In atlanta called
the Peach Tree International Film.

Speaker 2 (54:30):
Festival oh that's a, mouthful right, There Peachtree International Film, festal.

Speaker 3 (54:35):
It's from my, understanding it's a big. Event they've had
actors and entertainers and producers and directors coming from all.
Over so there is a panel On. Saturday it's Called
cigars And. SUCCESS i don't smoke. Cigars, however.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
Was THAT i, said you have had?

Speaker 3 (54:56):
Success? Yeah, Yeah so That's i'll be There. Saturday And
i've shared with some of the guys that are on
the panel THAT i would come by Early saturday because
TYPICALLY i would just go do WHAT i do and
Then i'm. Leaving BUT i, said it's a big in
the day everybody's been talking about it's a big. Event
and there's another one, here some kind of other film

(55:18):
festival that takes place in This Bronze Bronze. LEANS i
think that's the other. One and they've just been two
big events here In atlanta when it comes to film
and the filming, industry and we've got there's several studios.
Here of, course it's just and you just never know
who's going to show up. Either atlanta's a very big.

(55:39):
City it's bigger than it's bigger than it gets credit.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
For, it for. Sure.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
Yeah, absolutely it's because.

Speaker 2 (55:44):
When the big cities get mentioned bigger, markets they Talk
New York. City New York city is packed packed in one.
Spot atlanta is packed and spread. LA i mean there's
like nine l as though you go down you go
To Los Angele, was there's just like it's a it
is a very big. Area a lot of, highway you,

(56:05):
know just just a lot of, highway a lot of
places to. Live if you're, homeless you, know, uh right
on the, street just puke shit wherever you'd. Like In San,
francisco do whatever you, want you, know don't feed the,
homeless though they have a law out there do not
feed the. Homeless another law kind of. Weird you are
encouraged to feed zoo animals fucking. Weird, right you can

(56:27):
feed zoo, animals but a human don't do. It i'm
guessing the zoo animals are more trained than the. Humans
they might bite the food out of your. Hand then
you got a disease going, on you. Know and As
Carl weathers would, say from uh you, know he arrested
development and then we got a stew going you. Know,

(56:47):
YEAH i love. That so are?

Speaker 1 (56:52):
You are you an actor as? Well?

Speaker 3 (56:54):
No, NO i tell people all the time of not
in the. INDUSTRY i didn't make it.

Speaker 1 (57:01):
Up question why?

Speaker 3 (57:03):
Not?

Speaker 1 (57:03):
Yeah why?

Speaker 4 (57:03):
Not?

Speaker 1 (57:04):
Yeah why?

Speaker 2 (57:04):
Not you're you, know you can do.

Speaker 3 (57:06):
Stuff, right there's a guy, Here, Oh scott's last. NAME
i can't think Of scott's last name right.

Speaker 2 (57:11):
Now you should be the six foot nine. GOAL a
perfect sketch for you would be a six foot nine
guy that has never heard of, basketball but like a
blinded himself from, It like, like how did you play? Basketball?
SIR i don't know what that?

Speaker 4 (57:22):
Is?

Speaker 3 (57:22):
YEAH i?

Speaker 1 (57:22):
Know, ye then me tell people, no, no, no h, yeah.

Speaker 3 (57:27):
Yeah, OKAY i Think scott's last name of the first.
Name but, anyway, uh he did a, movie he was
he was a he's a he's an attorney here In,
atlanta and he's a movie producer and some other. Stuff
so he did a movie years. Ago it was it
was supposed to be Called The adoption and Then, adopted

(57:47):
and then he changed the name To The. List it's.
On it's ON dvd and on on on one of
those other streaming. Platforms, Anyway So Mantel jordan was actually
in the movie AND i had a small role in.
IT i played a. Cop six ft nine cop with.

Speaker 2 (58:05):
Us six foot nine. Cops there's no such, thing is.

Speaker 3 (58:08):
There, Yeah so that was just my only appearance and
the only and the only REASON i ended up getting that.
Role BECAUSE i was working a part time job in
sales AND i was working in the suit. Store the
lady who was the producer, director her boyfriend was looking

(58:30):
for a. Suit there was fiance at the, time so
they get ready to get. Married he came, in he
looked at me and, says you, know this guy would
be greatful that role that you have in that. Movie
SO i went and Met scott and he was, like,
yeah sure you can be in the. Movie And i'm, like,
Whoa i've never acted, before so, yeah that's.

Speaker 8 (58:50):
Why did you Say scott the Directory Prior Scott, prior
that's his, Name prior Got prior, yep and and the
movie is Called The.

Speaker 5 (59:05):
List you could you could honestly just play yourself in
a movie and have the characters learn the lessons of
your books along the.

Speaker 2 (59:18):
Way so just an idea, Here i'm just throwing it out.

Speaker 3 (59:22):
There we're just all going to make a note of.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
That make a note of. That i'll send you a
message of. It where you could just take the names
of your books, anyways like the email or, JEEZ i
HAD i had it drawn up here real. Quick oh
so you, can because it sounds like a name of
a movie real, quick A season Of. Change you could
just be the speaker in A season Of change as

(59:44):
a as a little bit of an easter egg sort
of thing where, oh, hey the person who wrote this
movie and helped direct the movie or whatever the hell
is also the speaker in the, movie and then have
the kids from that school kind of learn those lessons
along the.

Speaker 3 (59:58):
Way you. KNOW i like.

Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
That, yeah just you, know, uh.

Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
Good ideas you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:05):
Are, yeah kind of like A christianity, flick only you
could find. Better you have better writing than those. MOVIES
i was just watching something. Today it was the old
don't do drugs of Where kermit The frog's, like, hey
don't do drugs to the fucking to the kid and he's,
Like i've done too many. Drugs i'm Seeing kermit The
frog talk to me right. Now and that was literally

(01:00:25):
every reaction he had to every cartoon telling him not
to do. Drugs where fucking you, know Bugs bunny was
coming up to him saying, like, hey you're not the same.
Anymore he's, like why AM i seeing a? Rabbit oh my,
GOD i smoke too much. Pot and it was this
all cartoon and you, know now just doing a rewatch
of it And i'm thinking about it had those Old
reagan esque like just say. No it's, like, okay, Cool

(01:00:49):
so what if thrown it out. There you were kidnapped
and drugged the whole time and now you're addicted to those?
Drugs oh, WELL i guess. No still all, Right well
we come from different, places. Guys but it DIDN'T i.
WOULDN'T i would say it didn't very much age, well you,
know except the there was the one part the little girl's, like,

(01:01:09):
well you, know she found her her brother's box at
drugs and she's like being talked to by the little
ghost addiction guy and he's, like you should just fucking do,
it and she's, like, YEAH i guess me and my
brother to have something to talk, about then we could be.
Friends he's, like perfect logic to. Me i'm, like holy,
shit this is taking a terrible turn real. Quick, yeah

(01:01:30):
but uh, YEAH i was watching that and THEN i
put on some uh earnest scared stupid for my beautiful
little girl in, there because.

Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
As we've done some amazing voice over. Stuff, Kevin, yeah
because this would be make a great animated.

Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
Movie by the.

Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
Way oh yeah, dude, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah We, jess
we have a we have a couple of sketches for
The Pod guy's podcast lined up for our premiere going
on To ROKU, tv stepping into that facet of life
very very. SHORTLY a lot of fun stuff on the, Way,
ryan a lot of. Fun but, no, seriously the your

(01:02:08):
your books seem to have a a very good, message
wholehearted and that's one that's one thing that's. Missing one home.
Improvement the OLD tv show is now counted as a
very WHOLESOME tv. Show but when growing up you're, like,

(01:02:29):
well a guy is getting fucking nailed to a board.
Here that's not a Whole how is that wholesome sort
of thing where you know it's but your your, whole, well,
yeah but your your book, concepts in my, opinion have
a more wholesome approach to life and uh life and

(01:02:52):
individual empowerment that really should spread around. More and the
worst case, scenario you make the whole movie and gets
chopped up and do a bunch of, tiktoks people still
find out about, it and you, know you'll have people
say something stupid, like you know the book was, Better,
hey fucking bring it, cool buy the.

Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
Book, yeah, YEAH i THINK i think a lot of
that the way we would WE i was reared and grew.
UP i grew up In singapore. Household mother never said
go to, college she said get an. Education at six foot,
eight six foot, seven probably six seven sixty, eight went

(01:03:32):
out for the basketball team my senior, year by the,
way AND i was on the, bench never played in the,
game and ended up getting a full scholarship to attend.
College that's only because the coach from the school it
was actually More House, college and the coach was the football.

(01:03:52):
Coach he was walking through the, gym and he saw
us practice and he stopped And. Washington he, said he
came back To atlanta and asked the coach about. Me you,
know they SAY i was going In South carolina THAT
i think would be really. Good and fast, FORWARD i
ended up getting a full scholarship to play.

Speaker 1 (01:04:08):
BASKETBALL i love it and and.

Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
BECAUSE i knew, that you, know growing growing up in
the single parent household and not having, it was my
mission and goal to graduate from. College SO i did
and got a master's degree out of it. Too so,
yeah that's my.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
Story So, ryan we are going to wrap this, up,
uh this whole situation right. Here you're gonna leave us
with some inspiring. Advice what would your inspiring advice, be?

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
