the guard. Okay, so whenit comes an empty tone with this little
quick passage tells us a few acouple of things that the Jewish leaders received.

Now this is huge because you alsosee that the Jewish leaders got the

permission to not only get a guard, but to steal it with the Roman
seal. And basically what that meansis that you break that seal without without
the without the authority death on thespot right for this presents a problem present
the problem, says uh So,Jewish leaders and Roman officers explain this away

by the disciples stealing the body whilethey slept. Well, you look at
the possibility of that. The questionis if they did steal it. The
first question is how in the worldcould anyone know that? So if I
close my eyes and I fall asep but I wake up, I said,

oh man, that things happened.How in the world would I know?
I didn't see it. My eyeswere closed and I'm sleeping. That's
true, it's a really dumb thingto say. But then to even say
that this happened while they were sleeping. You gotta remember that the penalty for
a Roman soldier not doing his jobis death. And not only was it

death for him, chances are itwas a family because back then they thought,
well, if this guy's more,if this guy's a failure and he
doesn't know how to do his job. We don't want him producing offspring.
That's that's gonna ruin the Roman governmenteven further. So let's just go ahead
and get rid of his whole mind. So that was the steps, and

you see it. We got acouple of examples in scripture Act sixteen,
that's when the guard when that earthquakehappened, and the guard wanted to kill
himself because I thought the prisoners escape, and then Act twenty seven where the
guards tried to kill the prisoners beforethat shipwrecked shipwreck out at Malta. So
yeah, Roman soldiers took their jobshereous they knew what would happen if they

didn't. So to say that thebody was stolen, it's ridiculous and so
right there, so so right there, it kind of just refused that that's
not even an option, that Jesusbody was stolen, okay, right yep.

And then the next option, youknow, because the tune was empty
still is you know, I'm notsaying that it isn't, but I mean,
in this time here, it wasso the way they tried to explain
it away, to say that thebody was told or that these people lied
about even seeing Jesus, let alonehim him dying, right, But there's

a cool principle there. It sayspeople may die for a lie that they
think is true, but no onedies for a lie that they know it's
true. And this will happen.We'll talk about this in about five minutes
or so when we get to it. But you see that these people,
these people, meaning the Disciples,were willing to die for their faith.
Stephen and James are what we toldin the scripture, and then John and

Baptists is the first one that forhis And then there's this option here that
maybe the disciples went to the wrongtomb. So when they said that the
tone was empty because no one wasput in the area, that we'll give

it the benefit of the gun.He'sund like Tom Gray well mind was uncle
back then. But there's a couplethere's a few things wrong with that.
The number one glaring thing is thatif they were at the wrong tomb,

they could have squashed the whole Christianmovement by saying, hey, guys,
the right ones over there and hisbody is still in it. So we
basically still don't know where the tuneis. If that is true, correct,
what. But the point is evenif no one, let's say everyone
forgot where the tune was, theythey still could say, well, they

(05:54):
wouldn't have forgot because they had thatRoman garden, so they could say,
hey, guys, the disciples line, they went to the wrong tomb.
Look, there are my guards.My guards are over there, guard that
tone. That's where it is.In fact, I'll open it so you
can see the body right end ofChristian that is. But they didn't do

that because they were at the righttomb and it was right now. And
this also brings up a point inLuke twenty three that means that the women
would have had a strong case ofamnesia, because you remember, I think
Luke twenty three, this is it. But after Joseph of Araon Mathea and

Nicodemus brought Jesus' body to the tomb, it says the women followed behind right
right there. That's where I wasgetting ready to say that. I'm like,
I see, I didn't know Scripcheractually mentioned that. But just by
the way these women tend to act, they were right there, you know,
when he was being crucified. TheyI know they followed him because they're

the first one to see him.Yeah, you know, I'm like,
now, what are these ladies beingas I didn't think about that amnesia,
for I should think everybody. Well, the women basically follow after Jesus all
the time. Yeah, and theyfollowed them to the tomb, so they
knew where it was. They followedhim to what he was before, Poper's

(07:31):
pilot and everything. They followed hisold the whole thing. Yep. M
So they would have had to havea case of MS, and not only
them, But then that means Johnand Peter when they ran to the tune,
they would have had gone to thewrong one, right, which doesn't
make any sense. But even ifthey all went to the wrong tune,

(07:55):
you still have to explain away howall of these people in tered the risen
Sable mure. Right. Not onlywas it the twelve or the eleven disciples,
but it was also the women,and then it was also as First
Corinthians fifteen says, over five hundredpeople at one time. Yeah, so

it doesn't matter if they went tothe wrong Let's say they did go to
the wrong too, all right,have at it, but explain how five
hundred and thirteen at least saw therisen Savior. And I don't have this
on my slide. I don't knowwhy I don't. Here's it, here's
the appearances. But do you havethose two men on the road to a

mass. I think they're in thereon this. I don't think they were
disciples now, but where are they? Yeah? Right here, they were
disciples? Okay, yeah, butwhat was I saying? Uh? What

you said? At least five hundredand thirteen? You know, yeah,
so at least five at least fivehundred, Well I guess eleven, twelve,
thirteen, fourteen, five fourteen,at least five fourteen, way more
than that, most likely. Butthese are two things here that I don't

(09:24):
have. I don't have anything abouthallucinating, the hallucinations. But there is
a thing out there that say thatg that the disciples were all hallucinating,
like they did not actually encounter therisin Savior, just because they were in
such a traumatic state that they theymade up the idea of all the stuff
that they're doing, which which canhappen. Yeah, you can be in

such a traumatic state that you startto see and hear things that that aren't
really happen, right, but thatcan happen to a full of people.
You can't have five hundred people atonce having some kind of mass hallucination.
I don't care give all five hundredpeople, give him LSD, you give

him whatever drug you want. Theyare not going to tell you the next
day that they all had the exactsame experience. And then, like you
said earlier that when Luke went aroundhere and got all the story about crisis
ministry on Earth, they're they're tellingthat story to Luke as he's writing it

down years after Christ extended, andthey still had the same story that that
John wrote about. Probably I don'tknow what he wrote about his stuff,
but you know what I mean,all the disciples, how they wrote about
It's like that is true. Yeah, So the mass so hallucination, it

doesn't work because we don't have anydocumentary anything in history that has ever said
that two people have ever had thesame dream at the same time the same
evening. No one has ever donethat before it And not only has no
one ever done it, You're gonnahave to make that work for five hundred

or at least five hundred people.Doesn't work. So the idea of mass
hallucination is really dumb.
