* Christoph Waltz apparently won't be returning for Bond 25
* Speaking on the red carpet at the Festa del Cinema di Roma, Christoph Waltz confirmed to Italian movie news site Talky Movie that he would not be coming back for Bond 25 to reprise the role of Blofeld: "No, I’m sorry, I’m really sad, but that’s the tradition, that there is a new...name. Sorry. I would’ve liked to."
* It was previously understood that Waltz had an option to return to a future Bond film, and these latest comments contradict comments the actor has made in the past stating he would only return if Craig was still in the lead role.
* MGM works out new distribution deal
* MGM and Annapurna Pictures have formed a new joint venture for theatrical distribution in the U.S. With MGM moving back into distribution, it seems like the natural set-up to distribute the next Bond film
* Monica Bellucci
* This Tuesday evening in Rome, where she was feted with the Virna Lisi lifetime achievement award, Bellucci smiled at reporters who asked her to comment on the rumors, telling them: “I can’t say anything.”
* Denis Villeneuve will NOT be doing Bond
* In an interview with The Playlist, Denis Villeneuve spoke out about the recent rumours surrounding his involvement in Bond 25: “The thing is I don’t now about that, but listen. Daniel Craig is a very inspiring actor and I had some contact and the thing is that I’m busy right now doing Dune. But, I will say to have the privilege to work with him it would be a dream. I would love to work with Daniel and a Bond movie for me would be a treat. It’s a matter of timing, I guess.”
