(03:56):
to share from both sides of the veil. Joining me
now is Karen Anderson. And Karen, welcome back to the
excellent always great seeing you.

Speaker 7 (04:03):
How are things great to be here again?

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Thank you? You were a former law enforcement officer.

Speaker 7 (04:10):
Where were you an officer in Bailey, Colorado? So up
in the Rocky mountains about eighty five hundred feet wow.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Well, thank you for your service.

Speaker 7 (04:21):
Thank you very much. It was an honor to serve
and I'm really proud of the work that I did there.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Well, thank you. Were you part of the Sheriff's Department, Yes, sir,
I was, So you're a deputy all right, Karen, for
the listeners meeting you for the very first time, how
do you describe what you do as an animal communicator
and psychic medium.

Speaker 7 (04:44):
Well, I'll be the first one to admit that it's
kind of weird and it doesn't seem to quite make
sense to go from deputy sheriff to animal communicator. It
certainly didn't make sense at the time, but it actually
played hand in hand. In fact, the work that I
did as a deputy actually enhanced my abilities as an

(05:06):
animal communicator and a medium delivering messages from beyond the veil. Because,
as you know, every good police officer has a very
heightened sense of intuition. I have to be on their
toes and being able to see behind their backs at

(05:27):
all time. Right, that got feeling exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
So how did you first discover your ability to communicate
with animals and those who have passed on?

Speaker 7 (05:40):
Well, I grew up being able to understand animals, but
I thought everyone could, so I didn't think it was
weird or you know, just anything I shouldn't be doing.
And I could see spirits at a very early age.
My departed loved ones who I had never met before
I would see them. I would be to describe them

(06:02):
to my family, and that disturbed them greatly.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yeah, I can understand that.

Speaker 7 (06:09):
Yeah, So they discouraged it, and I began not telling
anybody what I was doing at a very young age
because I thought I was doing something I shouldn't wrong.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
I wonder how many children have gone through the same
thing that both you and I have gone through, where
you know, it was kind of like a sin. You
were doing the devil's work. How could you do that?
Only the devil could do it? And you know the
rest of the rigmar role that goes with it. But
I truly believe and agree with you that it certainly

(06:45):
helped being a police officer and a deputy, having that
gut feeling, that intuition, that tingling feeling that something just isn't.

Speaker 7 (06:53):
Right exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Was there a definement, a defining moment when you realized
your intuition and your gifts were real and undeniable.

Speaker 7 (07:07):
I think yes. And I was a deputy at the time,
And just to fill in a little bit of the backstory,
either is always a story, right, I was sharpening my
animal communication skills just for my own pets. I had
been reading about it and getting back into it again.
I didn't know animal communication was a thing. It was

(07:29):
just something that I remembered being able to do. But
the term animal communicator was completely weird to me. I
had never even heard that term before, but I got
drawn back into it or guided back into it. And
I was practicing with my own pets, and while I
was a deputy, I had a very urgent message to

(07:54):
come through from one of my cats who was trying
to tell me he was having a medical emergency early
one morning, and I literally heard him tell me. I
heard the words in my head, but it was in
my voice, but it was him talking. I know, it
sounds crazy. No, that's that's what happened. That's what happened.

(08:17):
And I thought what and he said, yes, he needed help.
So I rushed him to the vet and he did
need help. He was having a medical emergency. So that's
when I had that WHOA, what is going on here? Moment?
Because it's it's something that you just you think it's

(08:39):
your thought because it's in your voice in your head.
But I wasn't thinking anything about a medical emergency in
that moment.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
You know, there are many shows where you go on
and you can't talk like this, but as you know,
here is this is normal to us. This isn't the
part normal normal.

Speaker 7 (09:01):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Yeah, how does animal communication actually work? Is it telepathic?
Is it energetic? Or is it spiritual? Or all three?

Speaker 7 (09:11):
You know? I think it's all of the above because
anyone right now who has a pet or a companion
at home, you're already doing what I do. So there
is an unspoken language between you right where you sense
something is wrong or you sense your animal needs something
or want something. Aside from the physical cues or the

(09:37):
the you know, cries or whimpers or whatever, you know,
you sense there's something going on with them. And that's
the same thing with animal communication. It very much parallels
telepathic messages being sent back and forth because the animals
are very good at this and they don't have to
learn it. They do this naturally. So when you tap in,

(10:00):
it's like tuning the radio dial. You tune into their frequency.
And if you pay attention and you're focused and you're
listening and you don't have a bunch of distractions, you
can actually pick up on emotions, physical distress, words like
I could hear, or they might send you a visual

(10:22):
flash of an image of something.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Do animals have personalities? Are there emotions as distinct as
we humans?

Speaker 7 (10:36):
Absolutely, they are as varied and as unique as we are.
No two are alike. No two sessions I ever conducted
were the same. I saw a lot of the same patterns.
The patterns would develop that after communicating with animals for
almost thirty years now you begin to see some similarities
coming through. But the personalities off the charts. Yeah, from

(11:01):
one end to the other, from the very very shy
to the very outgoing to Some are jokesters and pranksters.
Some are real serious, Some don't want to talk too much,
but the majority of them they want to spill the beans.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Really. Oh yeah, what's their most favorite thing? They like
to talk about themselves? Oh, my heavens, I can see
a cat that, in my opinion, is typically what a
cat would do, like, oh yes, yes, yes, she was there.
But but how about me? You know, look how great

(11:37):
I am? Do I look as good now as I
did on the other side? Yeah, I can. I can
see that.

Speaker 7 (11:43):
You got it. You got it. So the interesting part
is when when I was conducting sessions, the clients would have,
you know, like a laundry list of questions that they
wanted to ask there whoever their daughter, their counter horse,
or whoever it was. You can't make them, sir. If
they don't want to tell you something, it's there's nothing

(12:05):
to give. So you have to really get good at
schmoozing them too, especially cats on my cat lover. So
am I so only love here? Please? I have way
more cats than I should.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
But all right, how many cats do you have?

Speaker 7 (12:29):
I say more than three, because if you ever look
in any direction, there's never more than three there.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Okay, that's fair, Alright, three cats?

Speaker 7 (12:36):
Answer more than three?

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Alright?

Speaker 7 (12:39):
And and I'm not picking on cats, but I love
them so much. They are crazy smart. Out of all
the animals, and I've communicated with wild animals, but mostly
companion pets. I don't even like to call them pets
because that sounds bad, like I'm belittling that companion animals.

(13:01):
Animals doesn't even sound right. Anyway. I was communicating with
a cat one time and it straight up lied to me,
straight up lied.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
So you lie?

Speaker 7 (13:16):
He lied? Now? The only other animal I know who
lies are humans.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Yes, that's it.

Speaker 7 (13:22):
Yeah, this was a straight up lie. It was a
litter box thing and somebody wasn't using the litter box.
And I asked there were several cats living in the household,
and I asked who it was, and I got he
did it.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
He didn't, Karen, And I hate to stop the conversation
here but I've got to take a break. Oh my heavens.
Karen Anderson is a very special guest, a lovely lady,
and we'll be back on the other side of this
break as we continue talking about animals. Uh being a
psychic medium and I've got to hear more about these cats.

(14:00):
I'm Rob McConnell. This is the excellent coming to you
from our broadcast center in studios in Saint Catharine's, Ontario, Canada,
and you're listening to us streaming around the world on
your hometown radio, Classic twelve twenty c FA j A
M here in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada at Classic twelve
twenty dot CA. Don't go away from the Home.

Speaker 5 (14:31):
Fin time was crist by the Fury of Siberia STA Still.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Oh my heavens, that was that. I'll tell you a
very quick story we had. I used to be the
director of communications for the SBC up here in Canada,
and my my venue was to get out into the
community and let the people know exactly what the inspectors
or the enforcement part of the SPCA was doing. Well.

(15:07):
I think it was the first week I was there
on this new job that we got to call about
an animal cat hording and we went there and there
were what seventy five adults, thirty five kittens, and it
was a hoarding house. There was about four feet of
garbage and we had to take all the animals out
and unfortunately a number of them had to be euthanized.

(15:29):
But back of the shelter we ran out of place
for the cats. So of course, the lady in charge
of adoptions says, Rob, would you and Laura like to
foster a couple of kittens? Yeah? Sure, So we brought
the kittens home and of course, you know, as soon

(15:50):
as we've got them in the car, they're hours. They're
not going anywhere, mind you. They soaked me six hundred
bucks each for them, but that's okay, it's going to
a good cause, right, Yeah, anyway, this this they were raged.
They were rag dolls, right, and they were beautiful. Yes,
Frankie was my I would whistle. He'd come running like

(16:12):
a dog, amazing, and and he started hanging like when
I was doing my show. He'd jump on the back
of the chair in the studio and he'd start wrapping
himself around my neck and pine at my neck like this.
I don't know if you can see it.

Speaker 7 (16:27):
That's so sweet.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Well, what he was doing was he was telling me
that there was a tumor there. Whoa no way, Yeah, yep, had.

Speaker 7 (16:40):
Like riddled with goose bombs really.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Right on the spot.

Speaker 7 (16:46):
Oh, I'm not surprised, but that is a great story.
I hope you're.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Okay now, Oh, I'm fine. Now that was about fifteen
years ago.

Speaker 7 (16:53):
Oh my gosh. Yeah, they do that. They know we're
we were out of violence.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yes, but anyway, that was one of the experiences I had,
and Frankie and I were very good friends and I
miss him. All right, are you ready to get back
to work here?

Speaker 7 (17:11):
Right?

Speaker 1 (17:11):
This isn't Oh by the way, the term I use
for our little ones are for babies.

Speaker 7 (17:17):
For babies. Yeah, yes, I know. Pets is just such.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
A cold it is, and there are anything we're cold.
They don't deserve a cold name.

Speaker 7 (17:25):
I know.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Okay, here we go, I producer says, Rob, shut up
about your animals. He calls me doctor Doolittle.

Speaker 7 (17:33):
That's a compliment to me.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
I know. Here we go eight seconds, three seconds.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
In a world where shadows dance and dreams take flight,
So the veil of reality into the night. Rob McConnell
leads the way. A beacon so bright with over thirty
five years, he ignites the light, a voice from the north,
where whispers are old stories untold in the echoes of

(18:15):
old facts meets fiction in this realm of delight in
the X Zone Web dogs are super up.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Welcome to the X Zone, believeably free, a sanctuary for
truth that dare to be seen, where the line between well,
jelly bless in a symphony of vo.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
And welcome back. Karen Anderson is my very special guest.
That's our her website Karen Anderson dot net. Yeah, we
were talking about animals and on the other side, do
animals get reincarnated like people do?

Speaker 7 (18:54):
They do? But I don't have good numbers for that,
Like people don't know, well how many times, well, how
often will they come back? And you know, the thing
about reincarnation, at least in my experience from what the
animals tell me, is if it's in the highest and
best good for that soul to return and live another

(19:18):
lifetime with us, they can choose to come back, and
they can choose to come back in a body like
what they left in. So a dog is a dog,
cat is a cat. A horse is a horse, of course,
of course, of course, and I love that show too,
by the way, but also it is see now you

(19:41):
made me forget what I was gonna say. I'm thinking
of mister ed Oh. But sometimes rob they can switch
species species, that's hard to say species. So a cat
can be a dog, a dog can be a cat,
and humans can be or they can come back as humans.

(20:02):
I don't think there is a reincarnation rule book. I
haven't found it yet. I'm looking. Haven't found a reincarnation
rule book where you have to do this, and you
have to do that, and you must do this, and
you must do that. I don't think so. I think
it's more willy nilly than that. And I think it's
more about the spiritual growth of each individual soul and

(20:22):
what is in their highest and best good, and if
it's in their highest and best good to come back,
it's not a lack of love, So don't get your
feelings hurt. That has nothing to do with it, because
they can actually do more for us and help us
more from the afterlife than they can when they're here
in physical because they're not bound by their bodies or
by the walls of our house or the fence in

(20:43):
our yard. They have unlimited potential in the afterlife.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Is it different for you when you're communicating with a
fur baby on this side of the veil compared to
one that's passed and is on the other side.

Speaker 8 (21:00):
Yes.

Speaker 7 (21:01):
And the really interesting part about that question is it's subtle,
So there isn't a big difference, a big, booming in
your face difference, which is what makes a missing pet
session very very challenging, because even the ones that tell

(21:22):
you they're here and alive and they want to come
home and they're lost and they're scared, can be departed.
So it's very subtle. And what I have found is
that you have to shift your questions and raise your
senses to become more open to pick up on the

(21:42):
little nuances to differentiate whether they are in body or
not in body. And it's challenging, but there is a difference.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
How do you help people dealing with the grief of
losing a beloved pet or beloved baby.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
Well, I cry with them a lot of the time.
That's one way. I have also experienced so many losses
because now and I don't know if I told you,
but now all the work that I do supports my
nonprofit animal sanctuary here in eastern Washington, so we save

(22:24):
unwanted pets, the ones that no one else will adopt,
the sick ones elderly, missing an eye, missing a leg,
blind or deaf medical issues. I go and rescue them
out of the shelters, or even abandoned ones that show
up as strays here and they stay with me. They

(22:46):
live here on thirty acres on our beautiful ranch, and
you can see this on the website of the nonprofit
until their final breaths, so we don't adopt out. They
stay here forever. They never have to go through that
trauma again.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
That is so fantastic.

Speaker 7 (23:03):
So everything I've worked for my whole life, going back
to you know, the first time I ever held a job,
I've always wanted to have a nonprofit animal sanctuary so
I can go save animals, and I finally did it.
So we are donation run. We have zero employees. It's

(23:25):
just my husband and me and we are basically opening
our home. This is our home, but this is the sanctuary.
We opened our home to take in these very much
in need, wonderful, amazing animals who blossom and flourish once

(23:45):
given a chance.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
That is so beautiful because as a sheriff's deputy, you
served and protect people, and now as a retired sheriff's deputy,
you serve and protect animals. I love it, and congratulations
to you.

Speaker 7 (24:00):
Thank you, and I just got the full body goosebumps
on that. Thank you for acknowledging that, because it is
it's not only a childhood dream come true, but it's
a beautiful thing to give these animals a chance. And
I go and I get the ones who've been there
the longest. Those are the ones that I bring here,

(24:20):
and it's amazing how much they just open up and
their personalities and their health issues go away. It's just
love can heal so much. And that's what we do.
We just infuse them with love. So you mentioned it
on the intro. My books, my courses, everything I do, sessions,

(24:44):
everything I do, it goes to the animals. So that's
my whole world right now. I've worked my whole life
for this moment and it's here, and I'm loving it
because it feels really good. So I lose a lot
to answer your question, and I lose so many animals.
I've been through so much grief, it's part of rescue

(25:07):
work because you're gonna lose a lot if you have
a lot, and it hurts me just like it hurts
you and everyone else. I'm not immune. I don't have
like a kevlar heart. I had a kevlar vest, but
I don't have a kevlar heart. So I walk those

(25:28):
really rocky paths through grief just like everyone else does.
But I've written three books to help understand what happens
once that beloved companion leaves their body and begins their
afterlife journey, because it's a lot different than you just

(25:51):
might think.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
I would imagine. I can only imagine the stories that
you must hear from these animals that you rescue. I
would imagine there was there was a lot of abuse,
and you know the Christmas time puppy grows up and well,
we don't want the responsibilities of a big dog anymore,

(26:16):
or that little bunny rabbit that you get at Easter,
or that little chick or whatever. I know from the
work that I did with the SPCA, how heartbreaking it
is for the people who actually work there and see
the cruelty and see the see the worst side of
humanity that these blesseds.

Speaker 7 (26:40):
It's unspeakable. Some of it it's unspeakable. I'm just I'll
never understand it. I'm sorry to interrupt you there, but yeah,
I agree with you. It's it's terrible.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
You're also a psychic medium. How does that part of
your work into your vein or into your wine? I
should say, with animal communication, it just goes.

Speaker 7 (27:03):
Hand in hand. I didn't start out to be a
medium channeling departed humans. In fact, that was the last
thing on my to do list. It really just wanted
to help animals. But here's the really cool part, Rob.
I would open a session right here, sitting in this chair,
at this desk, looking at well it was a different laptop,
but looking at a laptop, and I'd open up to

(27:25):
the animal's energy, say my opening prayer and blessing, and
the animal would start to come through to me. What
I mean by that is there, I would start to
receive messages. They would begin sending me energetic messages, telepathic messages,
and many times during a session they would bring through
the departed human loved ones of the clients.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
I was just going to ask you.

Speaker 7 (27:49):
That unbeknownst to me, I didn't know, and so I
was now communicating with the animal, and then and here's
this departed human coming through sending messages. It's a different
level to understand the humans. It was harder for me

(28:11):
to understand the humans than it was to understand the animals.
I don't know if it's that way for other psychics
and mediums. And by the way, we're all different. There
is no wrong way. There is no this person's better
than that person. We're all just different. We have a
different method and so what works for me might not
work for someone else. But I would say, well, I

(28:35):
have so and so here I have you know, an
older male figure, you know mother energy, grandmother energy, and
I would begin to get messages from them. And this
is the really wonderful part for the client is they
got to see their departed humans together with their departed
animal companions in the same space, being together. Sometimes they'd

(28:59):
hold them up, they'd pull up the animals for me.
Sometimes they'd be sitting in their laps. Sometimes they'd be
running around the person. I saw one that he had
like a pig pile of dogs all over him. They
were so happy, he was so happy. It was just joy,
like over abundance of joy and these are the images

(29:20):
that would come through, and you know it does not
just make you feel so good. Even if that human
didn't like animals in their physical life doesn't matter. That's
all forgotten about when they leave their body. There are
no grudges like that, or oh I don't like cats

(29:40):
or I don't like dogs or whatever. Everybody is there
because you are the common denominator and they are there
for you. So it's just like being in a place
surrounded in pure love. It is just a great space
to be in.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Got about a minute before I have to go to
my break. What do they tell you about the other side.

Speaker 7 (30:07):
I don't think I have the words that can properly
describe how love infused it is, and how safe and
protected and loving and kind and amazing is Our words

Arthly and welcome back everyone. Karen Anderson is my very
special guest www dot Karen Anderson dot net. Karen. Do
animals or for babies understand human concepts like forgiveness or gratitude?

Speaker 7 (33:39):
You know, they are able to understand our feelings, but
they might not understand the motivation behind it. So they'll
know when we're upset, they'll know when we're happy, they
know when we're balanced, they know when we are very sad,
and they might not understand and the big picture behind it.

Speaker 9 (34:02):
But there are.

Speaker 7 (34:03):
Three words that I have found in the thousands upon
thousands of sessions that I've completed that just are not
in their vocabulary. The animals just never use them. With me,
we use these three words, and that is blame, forgiveness

(34:25):
and guilt.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (34:29):
I would ask about these things and the animals kind
of looked at me like, what are you talking about?
Especially when it comes to end of life?

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Is end of life different for a baby than it
is for a human.

Speaker 7 (34:45):
I think so because the animals, although they have a
strong will to survive of course mother nature. That's why
they've been here for eons, right, is you know they
are here to survive, but they don't necessarily fear death
or the end of life the way I think a

(35:06):
lot of humans do. They're more accepting. They seem to
know on a very high spiritual level that their soul continues,
and not a lot of humans have grasped that yet.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
But that is our true because in this world we
fear death, and I really I look at it strangely
according to a lot of people, is I believe that? Well,
let me use this analogy. You've got a wall filled
with books, and this lifetime, as I see it, as

(35:43):
just one of those books. And when we finish reading
this book, we open the pages to the next book
and we love them. Yeah, that's how I see it.
So if it's like that for us, I really truly
hope it's the same thing for fur babies. They continue. Now,
we humans are hard headed, unforgiving, and I could use

(36:09):
a whole bunch of worries, but I'm not going to
Animals don't seem to have that for every animal that
I've come across my life. You see unconditional love.

Speaker 7 (36:25):
You do, And I think that term has lost its
richness because we hear about the unconditional love that we
receive from our companion animals. I think they're here to
teach us to live like they do, to be present
in the moment, to go out and enjoy the sunshine,

(36:46):
and not to worry about yesterday or tomorrow. We're never present,
are we We're doing fifty million things at one time.
I love seeing my cats in a sun spot. I
love seeing my dogs running out, and you know, enjoying
the backyard or the grass or you know, some even
like rolling in the snow. When do you ever see

(37:07):
humans doing these things? Never they're on their devices, or
they're on social media, or they're scrolling. We become, you know,
with these electronic leashes attached to us, we've lost who
we are. We've lost our purpose, what we're here for,
and all of the wonderful things that just one person
can accomplish if we just decide to do something and

(37:29):
then follow through with it. Heck, if I could do this,
anybody could do this. And I think animals are are.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
I very rarely disagree with their guest, but you you're
a very special lady.

Speaker 7 (37:44):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
And you know the fact that you were in law enforcement,
and I believe that you were there to be part
of the solution, not part of the problem, and you
were there to serve and protect. I can see it
overlapping and what you're doing with the animals, and not
everybody can do that, Karen, Well, thank you.

Speaker 7 (38:05):
I feel like anyone can do this because I did it.
Because I don't feel superhuman or super Karen, or you know,
wonder woman or anything. I just but I listened to
I listened to right here, Rob, I listened to my heart,
and I stopped listening to external shatter influencers saying, Karen,

(38:27):
you can't Karen, that's a bad idea. You know what
do you mean? You want to talk to dead pets.
You know I've heard it all. You're crazy, You're this,
You're that. You know I've heard it all. And I stopped.
I stopped listening to them, and I said, I'm listening
to me. This is what I love, this is my passion.
I'm here for a reason and a purpose, and I

(38:49):
know what my purpose is and I it is my
life now and it feels so good to be in
this moment, even with you in this moment right now.
I'm so grateful to be here and being able to
talk about this and have you understand and share with
your listeners that animals are here to teach us so
that we can live a fuller and more richer life.

(39:12):
And remember to go out and roll in the snow.
Remember that they don't blame us for any decision we make.
It doesn't enter their consciousness and they don't take it
with them when they die. We do that to ourselves.
We punish ourselves. I've done it.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
What are some of the most moving or unforgettable messages
that you've received from pets?

Speaker 7 (39:39):
Oh my gosh, you know, I think those are the
ones that are tied to the end of life because
nobody wants to make that decision. I don't, and it's agonizing,
And the messages that come through are so incredibly not

(40:04):
about us taking their life. The messages are about but
you did everything you could for me. You were there
for me, you helped me. You couldn't possibly have known
I had this going on or that going on, or
that you should have done this or you should have
done that. They are the ones that are telling us

(40:27):
I trust you with my care and you will make
the right decision because you made it with love and
you thought that was the best thing for me. Those
are the messages I think that it really healed me.
I was so hard on myself for so many decisions

(40:49):
I made in the past, and I carried all of
that with me, and you know, that's unresolved grief. It
builds up like a brick wall, and the animals can
knock that down with just one session, just one loving
message where they tell you what are you talking about?
You're the best pet parent in the world and the
only thing that really matters rob is love and that

(41:12):
bond and that we remember them and keep talking about
them and say their names, especially their nicknames. They love
it when we say their nicknames.

Speaker 1 (41:22):
I would imagine that when people come to you to
communicate with their loved for a baby on the other side,
that when they leave after your session discomplete, they have
a totally different outlook on life and death.

Speaker 7 (41:39):
It's life changing, it really is. If you haven't experienced it,
you really have to before you comment. You know this
is this doesn't work or it's not possible, because how
do you know unless you've had an experience. You got
to try it, So I encourage you to at least try.
I have the best colleagues in the world who now

(42:02):
conduct sessions and they donate a portion of those proceeds
to my animal sanctuary. So you're helping the animals by
booking with my colleagues. But I really think that if
you are in that spot where you're really hurting, you're
deeply grieving, and you think you've done everything wrong and

(42:23):
that you should never have another pet again, you don't
deserve it because you're a horrible person and all of
those things that keep you up at night. One message
from your departed companions can literally change and pivot you
in one hundred and eighty degree different direction, and you'll realize,

(42:45):
you know what, that wasn't even a part of their experience.
It didn't even come up on their radar.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
Can animal communication help with behavioral problems or illnesses and
pets like? As a communicator, are you better able to
get the message across to the owner or to even
veterinarians that this is what you're getting from the animal,
the fur baby, this is how they feel so working

(43:19):
alongside veterinarians I would imagine as a wonderful way of
working as well. And how do veterinarians feel about someone
who has your gift working with them?

Speaker 7 (43:32):
Unfortunately they're not very supportive or haven't been for me. Well,
I know I'm disappointed too, but I live in rural
eastern Washington, so maybe it's different in a big city,
but at least where I am, it's not really supported.
I wish it would be different because they're actually using

(43:56):
their intuition as a medical doctor. They just probably don't
want to admit it because it's not science or in
a book. But I think when it comes to behavioral
issues or medical concerns, a session with the animal can
be extremely helpful working along with a veterinarian because the

(44:21):
animals can direct to an area where they're feeling the imbalance.
All about imbalances. So I've found in past sessions that
even though the animal isn't showing any symptoms medical symptoms
about an area, it's later because it hasn't been manifested yet,
Like it's so small on the scale that by the

(44:44):
time they present the symptom it's big. But I could
find it when it was lit a little teeny tiny
before it became a problem. And the same is true
with a behavioral issue. I can not only help them
resolve or get to a better resolution, improve, but it

(45:06):
is about helping the human and their companion understand each
other better because most of the time, and I'm gonna
lose some listeners here, it's not the animal's fault, it's
the humans.

Speaker 1 (45:21):
I agree with you one hundred percent. I hate to
do this, but we have to take our final break. Okay, explanation.

And again, thank you for all that you do in
helping in helping so many for babies as well as
the people on this side who missed there for a

(48:55):
baby so much that you're able to bring them back
together again just for a limited time.

Speaker 7 (49:00):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (49:02):
How can someone best prepare themselves and their pets for
a communication session with you.

Speaker 7 (49:09):
Well, I'm not conducting sessions anymore, rob because I'm devoting
now my focus on coaching others, teaching them how to
communicate with animals, and also on a nonprofit And my
colleagues can help them with a session. And these are
hands selected colleagues that I've worked with personally, so I

(49:29):
can attest to their abilities. But the best way to
prepare is to leave your expectations behind and to stay
open to any messages that come through spirit works. The
way that spirit works energy works is that you get
the messages that you need, not the messages necessarily that
you want. So you may hear about something that wasn't

(49:52):
even on your radar, but that's what you needed to.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
Hear in your opinion, based on what you have done
as animal communicator, who did sessions, and as you train
those to be animal communicators. So what are some of
the biggest misconceptions that people out here on this side

(50:18):
of the microphone may have about animal communicators.

Speaker 7 (50:24):
Well, first, I think the big misconception is is that
it's fake or pardon me, we do cold readings and
that couldn't be any farther from the truth, at least
with a professional, and you want to look for someone
who has history and reviews and a Facebook following or

(50:46):
social media following. You want to look for that person
that has been around the block a few times, because
there's a lot of people out there who say they
communicate with animals, but they really can't. I'm sorry, hold on.

Speaker 1 (50:59):
Second, sure, how are you doing?

Speaker 7 (51:07):
I'm okay, right. So the big misconception is we work
really hard. It's not easy to do this. It gets
easier the more you do them, but there's a lot
of work, a lot of time, effort and energy that
goes into it, just like any other job. And you
really have to be devoted and listen and pay attention

(51:27):
and get rid of all of your stuff so you
can be open to whatever comes in.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
Do you have to train yourself not to take everything
personal when it comes to the readings, because you know
there must be so many times for a newbie that
the story sometimes just pull on our heartstrings and you know,
you guys are only human, So how do you deal
with that?

Speaker 7 (51:54):
It's hard? You know, you do have to put on
kind of your body armor and remember that the role
of the animal communicator is to deliver the message in
the purest form possible. That's the role. You have to
be responsible, you have to do the right thing, but

(52:14):
you have to deliver that message because you're being gifted
this message. So your job is to deliver it. Don't
put your spin on it. Don't try to tell the
client what they want to hear, or don't try to
say what you think your version is of what that
pet was saying. You could be totally wrong. Deliver the
message and let that resonate with the client at whatever

(52:36):
level it needs to resonate with. Because we are just
the vessel. The messages move through us, and spirit basically
uses us as a conduit to deliver the message. And
you have to really get out of your way. You
have to get out of your ego, you have to
get out of yourself. You have to be open to receive,

(52:57):
and you have to trust what's coming through because a
lot of it doesn't make sense at all until the
client validates it.

Speaker 1 (53:07):
You're a best selling author, Karen, and can you tell
us about your books and what inspired them? I would
imagine that the great work that you do is you know,
the greatest inspiration, But there has to be other things
that inspire you to do what you do well.

Speaker 7 (53:22):
Absolutely, and I was completely inspired to not write them
because I just hid this for so long. I kept
it to myself for so long. I thought, what am
I doing telling all these stories of what actually happened
during the sessions, what the animals shared, and the amazing,
incredible wisdom they have. So I was I was almost

(53:45):
holding back, and then I literally felt like someone was
pushing me to do this. You need to do this,
You need people need to hear these stories because they're amazing.
They blew me away. And what does that tell you
if I'm the animal communicator and the messages blow me away?
So I started putting that into the books because it

(54:06):
helped me heal just being the one delivering the message.
So imagine how powerful that was for the client receiving
those incredible messages. So my inspiration was conducting those sessions
to write those books.

Speaker 1 (54:25):
What advice would you give someone who wants to be
an animal communicator and deeply connect with animals not only
on a physical level, but most importantly on a spiritual level.

Speaker 7 (54:40):
I think the most common mistake that most communicators make
when they first get started is they feel compelled to
tell the story. Pardon me. So when a message starts
to come through, Rob, you might see a flash of something,
might feel the feeling of love or anxiety or stress

(55:03):
or whatever the animal is feeling, and you might try
to connect the dots yourself and tell the story. And
it's really a challenge to not do that. And again,
like I was saying, to just deliver it in its
purest form. So you the best way to be the
best animal communicator is to say, you know, I'm seeing

(55:25):
pink frogs. Is there a reason, Rob why I would
see pink frogs? Or are you connected into anyway and
allow that client to say, well, I collect pink frogs,
or my grandmother had a you know, a picture in
her kitchen of a pink frog. Whatever it is, you
have to let it be that, whatever it is. Don't

(55:48):
try to make it something else or change it or
make it what you want it to be. You have
to trust that that message has to be received in
its purest form in order to be understood. And sometimes
still i'd hear from a client weeks or years later
that a message finally made sense to them, Because it

(56:10):
doesn't always come to you right away.

Speaker 1 (56:12):
How many books have you written, I'll toll Karen, I have.

Speaker 7 (56:16):
Three best sellers.

Speaker 1 (56:17):
Can I share the titleslese?

Speaker 7 (56:20):
Okay? The first book I wrote is Hear All Creatures
and You Hear Them because I could hear them talking
to me. My second book is The Amazing Afterlife of Animals,
which is what I was telling you. The messages from
the Afterlife just absolutely floored me and I couldn't believe

(56:40):
how powerful they were in healing for the clients. And
my most recent book is The pet I Can't Forget.

Speaker 1 (56:48):
Oh. I like that title, and.

Speaker 7 (56:50):
That is filled with signs and messages for hope and
healing to help you understand how animals send messages, what
kind of signs they send, how to receive more signs,
where to look for signs, and plus an inside peek
into my favorite and most powerful sessions as well.

Speaker 1 (57:15):
Finally, Karen, what message would you like our listeners and
our viewers to to walk away with after the hour
that you've been with us? And again, thank you for
sharing you with us, And what's the message that you
hope that they god?

Speaker 7 (57:33):
Well, it's my pleasure to share, and the message I
think that is most important is to realize that the
bonds of love never die and there's more to this
life than the physical experience your companion animals are having,
and they are still with you, just in a different.

Speaker 1 (57:52):
Form the animals that come into our lives. Is this
all pre planned that this little fur baby comes to
us and is with us for a certain amount of
time or is it just chance or coincidence that they
enter and exit our lives.

Speaker 7 (58:16):
I feel that there is no such thing as coincidence.
I think there is a purpose and a reason. And
in the great quantum realm out there where we're all
connected and everything is connected, I think there is a
reason for everything. I think it shifts, and it might move,

(58:36):
and it might get flexible and go off in a
different direction. But I do think there's a purpose and
a reason. Even with the most challenging companions in your life,
there is a purpose and a reason that they are
with you and that you are their guardian and caretaker,
even if it's for a very short time.

Speaker 1 (58:53):
There's one thing that I'd like to add at this
point is that when people are contemplating bringing a little
fur baby into their face, they give it a lot
of thought, because you know, it's a great responsibility. It's
just like bringing a human into your home. You've got
to make sure that you have the ability to take

(59:14):
care of the little fur baby physically, that you've got
the proper setting, that there's a yard, that you're able
to take them for walks, interact with them, and understand
that that cute little puppy that you buy today in
a couple of months is going to go through the
same stages as we humans go through. I don't know

(59:36):
how many people you know. I can only imagine break
the hearts of these animals when they put them up
for adoption because the little fur babies don't know what
they've done wrong, Like what am I doing here? What
did I do so wrong? So please exonation, give it
a lot of thought, and when you make that decision,

(59:57):
please stay with that decision. Karen, thank you ever so
much for joining us continued success and if there's anything
we can do here in the X zone to help

On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
