Well, we appreciate you taking the time out of your
schedule to join us. Can tell us a little bit
about yourself. Where does your interest in UFOs come from?
Speaker 5 (04:19):
Well, basically, I've I had my first UFO sighting in
nineteen seventy four. I was essentially born and raised in
a little town called National Park now National Park in
New Jersey, of course, and it's directly across the river
from the Philadelphia International Airport and also the Navy Yard.
So as a child, I've you know, they had a
(04:40):
squadron one of the two's ADULTA darts over there, adults
our ADULTA daggers. You know, I'm just used to looking
at the skies as a child, I've always been looking
up with airplanes flying over, and I started to get,
you know, interested in astronomy. And I had my first
sighting in seventy four and that kind of started every
thing for me.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Tell us about your sighting.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Well, I was coming home. I was about I guess
about two thirty three o'clock in the morning. I was
with a friend. I was a passenger in the car,
and we were coming home from a club late at night,
and we were coming down at Interstate two ninety five
and we were down towards the Runno Meat exit. There
was a very short bend on Route two ninety five
(05:25):
where there's been a lot of accidents, so of course
we slowed down and went under an overpass, and as
soon as we came out of the overpass, I glanced
up since I was a passenger, and I saw it
was a bluish green glowing disc that was just peeking
out of the overcast. There was an overcast that night,
(05:48):
and I guess it was about maybe a two or
three hundred foot ceiling. And the area that I was
in was Brook Lawn, and of course Brooklawn is in
the TCA Terminal Control Area. Philadelphi International airport, so you know,
it was a disc that's for sure. And of course
we wrote around all night all morning essentially looking for
(06:11):
this thing, and we didn't see it. But thank god,
the next day in the newspapers they had a couple
of accounts, a couple of defferent policemen and a few
people they did witness a UFO flying over deffort in
that area, so that was it was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Are UFO sightings up in the United States and dround
the world this year compared to other years.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
I think they are. I think more people are, as
they say, coming out of the closet and admitting that
they're seeing seeing the UFOs. As a matter of fact,
we're starting to get a lot of cases that are
very old cases, you know, from the fifties, sixties, and seventies.
People or basically they want to come out and tell
their story, and it's an exciting time I think in
(06:58):
the UFO community myself.

Really, to your knowledge, we're based on your experience with
mofon what is the largest and most important UFO case
to date.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
Well, everyone seems to go on and on about Roswell,
but quite frankly, I think that the sighting in nineteen
fifty two Washington, d C. It was from July twelfth
to July twenty ninth, nineteen fifty two, that's when they
had it's known as the Washington Flat or the Washington
National Airport sightings, and it was a series of unidentified
(07:35):
flying objects reported on those dates in nineteen fifty two.
And you know that that is ten I feel that
is ten times bigger than what Coswell is.

He is with Moufon in New Jersey and he's also
a member of Moufon's Star King. He has a few
hundred cases investigated by himself and he's the founder and
editor of four websites. His main website is the largest
in the world for private UFO photos. He has over
(12:28):
five five hundred UFO photos to display at www dot
world UFO photos dot org. Before we went to the
commercial break, Ken, we were discussing what you believe to
be the largest UFO case, and you were talking about
the UFO sightings over Washington, DC. And I believe I
(12:50):
was back in fifty two.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
Oh yeah, it was July nineteenth fifty two. It did
one on throughout a week. Your traffic controlers involved. And
I have a short exer here If you want me
to read it, sure, please you know it says he
At eleven forty pm on Saturday July nineteenth, nineteen fifty two,
Edward Nugent an air traffic controller at Washington National Airport.
(13:13):
Today it's Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. He spotted seven
objects on his radar. The objects were located fifteen miles
south southwest of the city. No, no new aircraft were
in the area, and the objects were not following any
established flight pass. Nugent superior Harry Barnes, a senior air
traffic controller at the airport, watched the objects on Nugent's
(13:36):
radar scope, and he later wrote, we knew immediately that
a very strange situation existed. Their movements movements were completely
radical compared to those of bulldinary aircraft. So, you know,
Barnes and the two controllers checked Nugent's radar and they
found it was working normally. In Barrange Quality National Airport's
(13:56):
other radar center, and the controller there, Howard Cochlan, told
Barnes that he also had objects on his radar scope,
and a furthermore, Coplin said that by looking out of
the control tower window he could see one of the objects.
And you know, for your readers, if they want to,
if they want to Google, just google nineteen fifty two Washington,
(14:18):
you know, Washington UFO. There was a very good article
in Wikipedia that explains the incident and a lot of
the things that happened. Now, what's exciting about this is well,
as a matter of fact, he's an investigator, became an investigator,
but a gentleman here in New Jersey is a retired policeman.
(14:41):
He decided that he wanted to investigate UFOs and we
brought him aboard and he took his test and he
did pretty good. Helped me out with some cases. And
here he comes to tell me that when he was
nine years old, he lived in a Wilmington area of
a Delaware Newcastle area right there, and his father worked
(15:02):
at the Newcastle Airport. I think it's called the Greater
Wilmington Airport today right now on Delaware. But his father
worked there. I believe he was doing maintenance or something
at the airport. And on that day that they were
having the the flat over Washington, d C. His father
that their home was located right on the edge of
(15:24):
the airport. So his father come running in the house
and basically told him and his mother, you know, don't
go outside, don't go, you know, over to the airport.
Just stay in the house. So, being a nine year
old boy, that was the you know, the first thing
he did was start he went outside and he said
that he saw a disc at flying sawso hovering over
(15:47):
at the over the end of the one runway at
the Newcastle Airport now at the time, from what I
understand Newcastle Airport, they also scrambled jets I believe it
was F eighty four's at Newcastle Airport and they were
also scrambled to to Washington, DC about this UO flap.
But I've yet to hear anything about UFOs being cited
(16:11):
at the Delaware Airport there in Newcastle. So I'm in
the I'm investigating this right now, and you know, it's
going to take quite a while because probably a lot
of the witnesses are either or dead or some information
that I may have to find is probably buried somewhere
in a dusty box in someone's basement. But I'm excited
(16:34):
about that. I'm hoping to get some more information and
might be able to link these two things up. And
like I said, I think the Washington nineteen fifty two
Washington UFO flap was makes Roswell look very small in
my eyes anyway.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
So tell me what is your opinion of the Roswell
alleged crash.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
Well, I feel what happened. I think it's it's the
real deal, and and you know, I think the Air
Force shot themselves in the foot when you know, they
reported the first day there that they felt it that
a flying saucer crushed and then they tried to cover
it all up, and I think it just I think
(17:17):
it just backfired on them. And it's strange though, why
this never really came into light until years and years later.
You know, like you would think that during that time that,
you know, that period of time, it would have really
taken off, but apparently it was squashed real quick by
the newspapers and the Air Force, and of course, as
(17:37):
you know, they wrote it off as some kind of
a weather balloon, which was this stupid statement. But now
that's a big one. I mean, that's that's a big deal.
Rise well, but I'm very surprised why more people haven't
jumped onto this. Nineteen fifty two Washington, d C. They
have some incredible photos. There's a one photo of it.
(17:58):
I think it's twelve or thirteen lit orgs I guess,
or disc that are over top of the Capitol Building.
And I'm sure you have seen it. It's a famous photo.
And you know, I'm just kind of surprised that no
one is really pursuing this, but hopefully someone, maybe someone will.
(18:21):
I'm trying to myself, so.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Tell me something. Why is muffon still such a small
organization even though they've been in existence since nineteen sixty eight?
And in fact, I've also learned that there are groups
now leaving moufon and starting up on their own.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
Well, I've been with UFON. It's for Jesus, I guess
about seven or eight years now. And when I first
joined upon, I was really very excited about what I
was doing. And I started working for George Piler with
the file or files. His web site is a national
ufocenter dot com and he's an icon in the UFO community.
(19:06):
And I started working for him, and I was the
only investigator, so he had maybe thairty or forty cases
that need to be investigated. So I kind of jumped
in with both feet and took care of them and
learned a lot, you know, as I was doing it,
and I over the years, I started to think that
(19:27):
MUFON was a debunker organization. It always struck me kind
of funny. Why a large organization like Newfon or any
of the large UFO organizations, they don't have any UFO
photos on their on their websites, And that's that's strained.
It's like that's like the Aulibon Society not having any
(19:49):
photos of birds on their on their website. You know
what I'm saying, Yeah, I do.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
And what is the ration? What is the reasoning behind this?
Speaker 5 (19:57):
I don't know. I can't get a straight answer from anyone,
and I've I've bought this up many times, and quite frankly,
I think New Fine. I think they've been in existence
for quite a while, but I just think that they're overwhelmed.
I think there's it's kind of hard when you're getting
volunteers to do important investigations on cases. You know, when
(20:20):
you get a volunteer, you can either you're going to
get some real good someone that really cares about what
they're doing, or you're going to get someone that's, you know,
just doing it just to say that they were an
investigator for mu Fine. So getting good investigators is the
hardest part. Is very rare when you when you find
someone that's you know, has this as a passion that
(20:41):
he wants to find out the truth and and but
they're very few and far between, is the problem. And
I think that it's you know, you find are just
it's just kind of overwhelmed. I think they just need
some new, new, better investigators. And since it's mostly a
volunteer organization, that's uh, you know, it's it's it's easier
(21:06):
said than done to do that, I think. But they
have a new new director. I believe I'm seeing a
new director, Jane Harzan. I believe his name is. I
think they announced it that the Vegas UFO conference, which
I didn't go to, but he took over for Dave
(21:26):
and Donald. So it seems to me that every place
in the directors of you find like every every couple
of years, which which in a way it may be
a good, good idea to do that because if you
get a director in there that this doesn't plan on
doing much of anything, he can stay in there for
you know, five or ten years and you find doesn't
(21:48):
go anywhere. So hopefully there's this new guy Jane here, Jane,
I'll get things going and think of a way where
we can get more investigators and retain investigators that we
do get.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Is there any is there any training that Moufon investigators get?
Speaker 5 (22:07):
Oh yeah, no, we we They take a test and everything,
and and there's a it's an open book test essentially,
and it's uh, they are sent they basically making sure
you're that you're not an idiot. I hate to say that,
but you know, they're you know, they want to make
sure you can read and understand and the possibly do
some reasoning with the test they have and it tests
(22:30):
is very easy and you know, like I said, it's
an open book test and a lot of the questions
or common sense questions or questions that that you should know,
you know, if you're thinking about getting into the field
of investigating the UFOs. But uh yeah, it's they send
you the test and you you you know, you pass
it and then they you know, they send you to
(22:53):
h Well, since I'm the chief investigator now for I've
been chief investigator formwfon New Jersey for for quite a
few years. Uh, they would send them to me, and
uh I would train them at that point, you know,
to make sure that they're doing what they should be
doing and following you know, different rules and regulations we
(23:14):
have and just make sure they're doing a good job.
So uh yeah, there's a system there and and it
seems that's that me faun is trying to make it
better and uh yeah, I'm excited I'm I'm hoping that
in the near future you find when they get back
on the right track again. And uh, it's a shame
because there's a lot of other UFO organizations popping up
(23:37):
and people are sending their UFO sightings to them, which
means that now we don't have a central point where
all of these sightings would come into where we could
you know, match them up. And you know, especially sightings
that happened on the same day or the same location.
Now now they're seeing to be spread out over, you know,
all over the place.

Tell me, Ken, what is a Moufon's Star Team, Well,
the Star Team.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
What that means, uh Star of course means strike team
for area research. Now the Star Team they were basically
they're they're put together of uh special investigators essentially investigators
who have who have a lot of cases and essentially
know what you know, they know what they're doing. What
(29:27):
what they do is it's a creation of a rapid
response team with holly trained field investigators equipped to go
anywhere to the United States that that high impact UFO
events occur. You know, it would be like more of
a more like a high a high profile UFO case.
(29:47):
Something that that was that may be on the news
or the newspapers, something like that. Uh, they send us
out to these cases and and we check them out.
It's very interesting. I had a case of New Long
the Connecticut a few years ago and it was quite interesting.

Yeah, as a matter of fact, what the witness? What
the witness did? He called in and he said that
an enormous black triangle came over top of his apartment
complex right there in New London, Connecticut. And this was
later on at night, but you know, he could easily
see the outline of it flew directly over his complex,
(30:29):
and I drove out there. I was there like almost
well three days, two and a half days, three days
of interviewing people, and essentially the object flew over his
apartment house and it looked like it also was heading
for the nuclear plant that was right there on the bay.
So a lot of people don't realize it, but New London, Connecticut,
(30:52):
that's where the General Dynamics Corporation is, and that's where
they made the nuclear submarines. And it's also where the
nuclear of Pens are and also the Coast Guard Academy
and in Groton, Connecticut, which is right across from New London.
You know, they have a large airport there with the
control tower, and so this was to me, this would
(31:16):
be an ideal place for UFOs to you know, investigate essentially.
You know, I guess they're furious too, and I think
that's why you find wanted to send me out there
to see if there was something to the story. So,
like I said, I was out there and interviewed many people.
I went to the police station and interview the policeman there,
(31:36):
and I went to the local little newspaper there in
New London and it's funny, but the editor didn't you
want to talk to me. She wanted nothing to.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
Do with me.
Speaker 5 (31:46):
I went to the control tower there at the New Groton,
Connecticut there and they wouldn't even let me in the door.
They didn't want they didn't want anything to do with
me there. And a lot of people that I interviewed.
Mostly it was it was guards. I figured interviewing the guards,
the outside guards. You know, if anyone would be seeing
UFOs at nighttime or any time would be them. So
(32:08):
I interviewed a lot of them, and did you get
it easily? They told me nothing. They said that they
weren't allowed to discuss things of that nature, and and
so it was a wash.

You know.
Speaker 5 (32:20):
I want to interview many people and and really got nowhere.
It was really just kind of it was very strange
to me. I just can't put my finger on it,
but it was, it was just it was it was
a strange, strange deal all around. So I just classified
it as unknown because you know, we that's what's why
new Fine. They what they do is we can only
classify cases as unknown because we don't know, you know,
(32:45):
like we couldn't classify a case as identify the alien
crafter identified the flying saucer. We're not allowed to do that.
So all of the cases are essentially unknown.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
With new fonn let me ask you something. We hear
a lot about disclosure, you know, and there are those
within the UFO community who believe that there's a government
conspiracy to suppress the information about UFOs. Therefore, you know,
the disclosure question comes into effect. As a senior investigator,
(33:19):
should there be disclosure and if so, why.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
Well, at first I thought that it would be great.
You know, it's good to know the truth. You know,
we had to be told the truth. But on the
other side of the coin, I personally, I think disclosure
would probably do more harm and good. I mean, what
good would it really do, except you know, if the
(33:45):
ellenser were coming down and was going to help us
medically and give us cures for diseases and all this
and that, which is a different story. But quite frankly,
I think I think religions will go go upside down,
and I think that people will I don't think people
would be able to handle it. I think a lot
(34:06):
of them is going to jump out a window. And
I just don't think people could be able to handle
that because, quite frankly, the UFO community thinks that a
lot of people know about UPHIE and UFOs and all
this and that, but a lot of people don't. Let's
face it, there's what thirty I think three hundred and
(34:27):
thirty million people in the United States, and one tenth
of that would be thirty three million. So if thirty
three million people, if they were into UFOs and they
did know about u FI and didn't know about sightings,
and you know, when you look at it that way,
that's only one tenth of the population. There's a lot
of people out there who have never heard of upon.
(34:48):
They don't want to hear about the UFOs. They want
nothing to do with it. They don't believe it. And
I think if the President comes on the TV one
one Sunday and says that UFOs exist and aliens are
busying us, I think uh stock markets will crash, and
I just think it would do a lot of harm.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Why do you believe the media in general has ignored
UFO sightings from all over the world. Why isn't Why
aren't UFOs getting the press that they used to get.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
I think that the government has has put us a
question on a lot of that. I think they basically
have told these these newspapers and news agencies, and I
think the all of these newscasters have been told to
downplay it.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
But it isn't it possibly believe that?
Speaker 5 (35:43):
Isn't it?
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Isn't it possible that the public just doesn't have any
more interest in UFOs because there's no proof.
Speaker 5 (35:52):
No, I don't think as well. With all of the
movies they have these days, and you know, at all
the aliens and UFO movies and everything else is there
that they have on TV and the movies. I don't.
I think it's being promoted more than anything. But you
seem slowly being brainwashed that these ailing things exist, and
(36:13):
you know, people may not go crazy.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
But on the other side, on the on the other
side of the coin kin, you know, there's a lot
of movies on TV about strange and weird other things
as well. You know, there's a lot of science fiction
movies of time traveled, this, that, and the other end.
Of course, the people don't take them seriously because they
know that it's entertainment. Is it possible that, because of
(36:41):
all the hype of UFOs, all the lack of evidence,
that people are realizing, hey, it's entertainment and entertainment only. Therefore,
the media says, well, you know what, if the story
isn't interesting to the listeners, the readers, or the viewers,
why carry it.
Speaker 5 (37:01):
Yeah, well you could be you could be perfectly perfectly right. Yeah,
that's a that's a good possibility there, that's for sure.
And I don't know, it's really hard to save it.
But I think we are getting more sighting for some
I don't know, these people who come up with these
figures that you know, only ten percent of the sightings
(37:22):
are reported and only two percent of them are real.
And I don't know where to come up with these
crazy numbers, but quite frankly, I think there's a I
think we're getting more and more sightings every day, and
I know Mupond has been getting more sightings. We were
averaging thirty thirty sightings of a day and now she's
up to fifty or sixty day. Now this is a worldwide,
(37:43):
of course, but most of them are still in the
United States. And like I said before that I think
people were just starting to come out of the closet
and admit that they've seen something strange in the sky.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Tell me about alien abductions.
Speaker 5 (37:58):
Well, not had a couple of cases with the alien abduction.
As a matter of fact, we did some hypnosis sessions
over at George Powler's house and Meffort and I feel
that I feel they're they're the real thing. I mean,
these hypnosis sessions were really incredible, how the people reacted
(38:20):
and what they told us. Uh, you know, I really
I really couldn't see how you'd have to be one
hell of an actor to be able to put on
an act, you know, that you were under hypnosis and
coming up with with what they're saying.

It's what are these things?
Speaker 5 (38:38):
It's a real thing. And I think that's I think
they're curious, and I think they're experimenting on on us.
They wondering what we are, what we're made of. And
they're apparently even doing the same thing to lot of
cattle mutilations and horses and and uh, I had a
sighting down in Alloy Township in Bridgton a few years ago,
(38:59):
and and we came to the conclusion that this humongous
black triangle is essentially looking for horses and cattle.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
Tell me what these people who undergo hypnosis, how do
they explain or how do they describe their abduction experience?
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Well, essentially they describe it when they're under hypnosis as
if they were really there, and it's it's it's really
weird just to sit there and experience that, you know,
depending on the kind of abduction, you know, there was,
but like I said, I was present on two of them.
(39:40):
And Uphon has been up and down about the abduction.
You know, as a matter of fact, we have a
licensed hypnotist here in New Jersey. One of my investigators
up in North Jersey. He's a state don sty, he's
a chief of police, and he's licensed hypnotists and and
he's been trying to be approved by MUFI because it
(40:06):
seems like one year Muphon says is okay to hypnotize,
and the next year you can't hypnotize. And I don't know,
they don't think they've they've really made up their minds.
Is to do they want to go that route? Because
you know, quite frankly, I feel you really have to
know what you're doing in order to hypnotize someone. And

you know, some of these people who want to be
hypnotized because they think they were at Duck that you know,
they may be opening Pandora's box and not realize it.

What do you think the aliens want from us? Do
they pose a threat to national security? No?
Speaker 5 (40:46):
I really don't think so. I think if they wanted
to defry us, they could probably destroyed his plan in
a matter of seconds if he wanted to. But no,
I think they're just curious. I think the the universe
is so large people, you know, it's funny you're always
hearing the sciences say that oh we we we can

see one tenth of the universe now with our you know,
uh hubble. And I'm saying to myself, how on the
hell could anyone come up with any kind of a number,
you know, ten percent of the universe? I mean, what's
what's They're basically saying there's there's an end to the universe,
And quite frankly, I think there's a there's one hundred
(41:30):
trillion Earth like planets floating around just like ours. That's
how big I think the universe is. And apparently some
of these aliens I found a way to uh, you know,
get from one place to another and in a short
period of time.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
The people who have had alien abductions do the do
they have a common thread? You know, is there a
common thread between their psychological profile? Is there a common
thread between they're so status? Is there anything that you
can connect the dots with why they are being abducted?
Speaker 5 (42:07):
Well, in the two cases we had here, their families
were also involved, and it's saying that these abductions went back,
you know, to their childhoods and involved some of involved
some of the family. So in the two cases that
I worked on, that was the that was connected. I've
connected the dots on that one, and I'm sure, I'm

sure not all of them are like that, but I'm
sure there's quite a few of them out there that
where you know, if someone thinks they were abducted a
week ago, you know this person may have been abducted
twenty or thirty times throughout their life.

And as a matter of fact, my wife and I
had a strange occurrence a few years ago we went

to the back gates of Very fifty one. We went
we were in Vegas for seven days per hour wedding anniversary,
so we decided to hit area for one while we're
out here, and we were halfway into our trip and
something something came over our car. It was so loud,
you know, we ducked down into our seats and make

a long story short, though you know, we didn't see anything.
So you know, we did make it to the back
eights and took some pictures and everything, but that was
that was very strange, you know, that experience we had
at Area fifty one.

Now I understand you were also a presenter at the
UFO conference in Baltimore that was held on May the
tenth of this year, twenty thirteen.

Yeah, it was aerial phenomenon Antonia, Paris. He's he's the director.

we had a really really nice I think we had

about yourself. Where does your interest in UFOs come from?
Speaker 5 (04:19):
Well, basically, I've I had my first UFO sighting in
nineteen seventy four. I was essentially born and raised in
a little town called National Park now National Park in
New Jersey, of course, and it's directly across the river
from the Philadelphia International Airport and also the Navy Yard.
So as a child, I've you know, they had a
(04:40):
squadron one of the two's ADULTA darts over there, adults
our ADULTA daggers. You know, I'm just used to looking
at the skies as a child, I've always been looking
up with airplanes flying over, and I started to get,
you know, interested in astronomy. And I had my first
sighting in seventy four and that kind of started every
thing for me.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Tell us about your sighting.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Well, I was coming home. I was about I guess
about two thirty three o'clock in the morning. I was
with a friend. I was a passenger in the car,
and we were coming home from a club late at night,
and we were coming down at Interstate two ninety five
and we were down towards the Runno Meat exit. There
was a very short bend on Route two ninety five
(05:25):
where there's been a lot of accidents, so of course
we slowed down and went under an overpass, and as
soon as we came out of the overpass, I glanced
up since I was a passenger, and I saw it
was a bluish green glowing disc that was just peeking
out of the overcast. There was an overcast that night,
(05:48):
and I guess it was about maybe a two or
three hundred foot ceiling. And the area that I was
in was Brook Lawn, and of course Brooklawn is in
the TCA Terminal Control Area. Philadelphi International airport, so you know,
it was a disc that's for sure. And of course
we wrote around all night all morning essentially looking for
(06:11):
this thing, and we didn't see it. But thank god,
the next day in the newspapers they had a couple
of accounts, a couple of defferent policemen and a few
people they did witness a UFO flying over deffort in
that area, so that was it was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Are UFO sightings up in the United States and dround
the world this year compared to other years.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
I think they are. I think more people are, as
they say, coming out of the closet and admitting that
they're seeing seeing the UFOs. As a matter of fact,
we're starting to get a lot of cases that are
very old cases, you know, from the fifties, sixties, and seventies.
People or basically they want to come out and tell
their story, and it's an exciting time I think in
(06:58):
the UFO community myself.

Really, to your knowledge, we're based on your experience with
mofon what is the largest and most important UFO case
to date.

Well, everyone seems to go on and on about Roswell,
but quite frankly, I think that the sighting in nineteen
fifty two Washington, d C. It was from July twelfth
to July twenty ninth, nineteen fifty two, that's when they
had it's known as the Washington Flat or the Washington
National Airport sightings, and it was a series of unidentified

flying objects reported on those dates in nineteen fifty two.
And you know that that is ten I feel that
is ten times bigger than what Coswell is.

Today it's Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. He spotted seven
objects on his radar. The objects were located fifteen miles
south southwest of the city. No, no new aircraft were
in the area, and the objects were not following any
established flight pass. Nugent superior Harry Barnes, a senior air
traffic controller at the airport, watched the objects on Nugent's
(13:36):
radar scope, and he later wrote, we knew immediately that
a very strange situation existed. Their movements movements were completely
radical compared to those of bulldinary aircraft. So, you know,
Barnes and the two controllers checked Nugent's radar and they
found it was working normally. In Barrange Quality National Airport's
(13:56):
other radar center, and the controller there, Howard Cochlan, told
Barnes that he also had objects on his radar scope,
and a furthermore, Coplin said that by looking out of
the control tower window he could see one of the objects.
And you know, for your readers, if they want to,
if they want to Google, just google nineteen fifty two Washington,
(14:18):
you know, Washington UFO. There was a very good article
in Wikipedia that explains the incident and a lot of
the things that happened. Now, what's exciting about this is well,
as a matter of fact, he's an investigator, became an investigator,
but a gentleman here in New Jersey is a retired policeman.
(14:41):
He decided that he wanted to investigate UFOs and we
brought him aboard and he took his test and he
did pretty good. Helped me out with some cases. And
here he comes to tell me that when he was
nine years old, he lived in a Wilmington area of
a Delaware Newcastle area right there, and his father worked
(15:02):
at the Newcastle Airport. I think it's called the Greater
Wilmington Airport today right now on Delaware. But his father
worked there. I believe he was doing maintenance or something
at the airport. And on that day that they were
having the the flat over Washington, d C. His father
that their home was located right on the edge of
(15:24):
the airport. So his father come running in the house
and basically told him and his mother, you know, don't
go outside, don't go, you know, over to the airport.
Just stay in the house. So, being a nine year
old boy, that was the you know, the first thing
he did was start he went outside and he said
that he saw a disc at flying sawso hovering over
(15:47):
at the over the end of the one runway at
the Newcastle Airport now at the time, from what I
understand Newcastle Airport, they also scrambled jets I believe it
was F eighty four's at Newcastle Airport and they were
also scrambled to to Washington, DC about this UO flap.
But I've yet to hear anything about UFOs being cited
(16:11):
at the Delaware Airport there in Newcastle. So I'm in
the I'm investigating this right now, and you know, it's
going to take quite a while because probably a lot
of the witnesses are either or dead or some information
that I may have to find is probably buried somewhere
in a dusty box in someone's basement. But I'm excited
(16:34):
about that. I'm hoping to get some more information and
might be able to link these two things up. And
like I said, I think the Washington nineteen fifty two
Washington UFO flap was makes Roswell look very small in
my eyes anyway.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
So tell me what is your opinion of the Roswell
alleged crash.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
Well, I feel what happened. I think it's it's the
real deal, and and you know, I think the Air
Force shot themselves in the foot when you know, they
reported the first day there that they felt it that
a flying saucer crushed and then they tried to cover
it all up, and I think it just I think
(17:17):
it just backfired on them. And it's strange though, why
this never really came into light until years and years later.
You know, like you would think that during that time that,
you know, that period of time, it would have really
taken off, but apparently it was squashed real quick by
the newspapers and the Air Force, and of course, as
(17:37):
you know, they wrote it off as some kind of
a weather balloon, which was this stupid statement. But now
that's a big one. I mean, that's that's a big deal.
Rise well, but I'm very surprised why more people haven't
jumped onto this. Nineteen fifty two Washington, d C. They
have some incredible photos. There's a one photo of it.

I think it's twelve or thirteen lit orgs I guess,
or disc that are over top of the Capitol Building.
And I'm sure you have seen it. It's a famous photo.
And you know, I'm just kind of surprised that no
one is really pursuing this, but hopefully someone, maybe someone will.

I'm trying to myself, so.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Tell me something. Why is muffon still such a small
organization even though they've been in existence since nineteen sixty eight?
And in fact, I've also learned that there are groups
now leaving moufon and starting up on their own.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
Well, I've been with UFON. It's for Jesus, I guess
about seven or eight years now. And when I first
joined upon, I was really very excited about what I
was doing. And I started working for George Piler with
the file or files. His web site is a national
ufocenter dot com and he's an icon in the UFO community.

And I started working for him, and I was the
only investigator, so he had maybe thairty or forty cases
that need to be investigated. So I kind of jumped
in with both feet and took care of them and
learned a lot, you know, as I was doing it,
and I over the years, I started to think that
(19:27):
MUFON was a debunker organization. It always struck me kind
of funny. Why a large organization like Newfon or any
of the large UFO organizations, they don't have any UFO
photos on their on their websites, And that's that's strained.
It's like that's like the Aulibon Society not having any
(19:49):
photos of birds on their on their website. You know
what I'm saying, Yeah, I do.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
And what is the ration? What is the reasoning behind this?
Speaker 5 (19:57):
I don't know. I can't get a straight answer from anyone,
and I've I've bought this up many times, and quite frankly,
I think New Fine. I think they've been in existence
for quite a while, but I just think that they're overwhelmed.
I think there's it's kind of hard when you're getting
volunteers to do important investigations on cases. You know, when
(20:20):
you get a volunteer, you can either you're going to
get some real good someone that really cares about what
they're doing, or you're going to get someone that's, you know,
just doing it just to say that they were an
investigator for mu Fine. So getting good investigators is the
hardest part. Is very rare when you when you find
someone that's you know, has this as a passion that
(20:41):
he wants to find out the truth and and but
they're very few and far between, is the problem. And
I think that it's you know, you find are just
it's just kind of overwhelmed. I think they just need
some new, new, better investigators. And since it's mostly a
volunteer organization, that's uh, you know, it's it's it's easier
(21:06):
said than done to do that, I think. But they
have a new new director. I believe I'm seeing a
new director, Jane Harzan. I believe his name is. I
think they announced it that the Vegas UFO conference, which
I didn't go to, but he took over for Dave
(21:26):
and Donald. So it seems to me that every place
in the directors of you find like every every couple
of years, which which in a way it may be
a good, good idea to do that because if you
get a director in there that this doesn't plan on
doing much of anything, he can stay in there for
you know, five or ten years and you find doesn't
(21:48):
go anywhere. So hopefully there's this new guy Jane here, Jane,
I'll get things going and think of a way where
we can get more investigators and retain investigators that we
do get.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Is there any is there any training that Moufon investigators get?
Speaker 5 (22:07):
Oh yeah, no, we we They take a test and everything,
and and there's a it's an open book test essentially,
and it's uh, they are sent they basically making sure
you're that you're not an idiot. I hate to say that,
but you know, they're you know, they want to make
sure you can read and understand and the possibly do
some reasoning with the test they have and it tests
(22:30):
is very easy and you know, like I said, it's
an open book test and a lot of the questions
or common sense questions or questions that that you should know,
you know, if you're thinking about getting into the field
of investigating the UFOs. But uh yeah, it's they send
you the test and you you you know, you pass
it and then they you know, they send you to
(22:53):
h Well, since I'm the chief investigator now for I've
been chief investigator formwfon New Jersey for for quite a
few years. Uh, they would send them to me, and
uh I would train them at that point, you know,
to make sure that they're doing what they should be
doing and following you know, different rules and regulations we
(23:14):
have and just make sure they're doing a good job.
So uh yeah, there's a system there and and it
seems that's that me faun is trying to make it
better and uh yeah, I'm excited I'm I'm hoping that
in the near future you find when they get back
on the right track again. And uh, it's a shame
because there's a lot of other UFO organizations popping up
(23:37):
and people are sending their UFO sightings to them, which
means that now we don't have a central point where
all of these sightings would come into where we could
you know, match them up. And you know, especially sightings
that happened on the same day or the same location.
Now now they're seeing to be spread out over, you know,
all over the place.

Tell me, Ken, what is a Moufon's Star Team, Well,
the Star Team.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
What that means, uh Star of course means strike team
for area research. Now the Star Team they were basically
they're they're put together of uh special investigators essentially investigators
who have who have a lot of cases and essentially
know what you know, they know what they're doing. What
(29:27):
what they do is it's a creation of a rapid
response team with holly trained field investigators equipped to go
anywhere to the United States that that high impact UFO
events occur. You know, it would be like more of
a more like a high a high profile UFO case.
(29:47):
Something that that was that may be on the news
or the newspapers, something like that. Uh, they send us
out to these cases and and we check them out.
It's very interesting. I had a case of New Long
the Connecticut a few years ago and it was quite interesting.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Can you tell us about it?
Speaker 5 (30:06):
Yeah, as a matter of fact, what the witness? What
the witness did? He called in and he said that
an enormous black triangle came over top of his apartment
complex right there in New London, Connecticut. And this was
later on at night, but you know, he could easily
see the outline of it flew directly over his complex,
(30:29):
and I drove out there. I was there like almost
well three days, two and a half days, three days
of interviewing people, and essentially the object flew over his
apartment house and it looked like it also was heading
for the nuclear plant that was right there on the bay.
So a lot of people don't realize it, but New London, Connecticut,
(30:52):
that's where the General Dynamics Corporation is, and that's where
they made the nuclear submarines. And it's also where the
nuclear of Pens are and also the Coast Guard Academy
and in Groton, Connecticut, which is right across from New London.
You know, they have a large airport there with the
control tower, and so this was to me, this would
(31:16):
be an ideal place for UFOs to you know, investigate essentially.
You know, I guess they're furious too, and I think
that's why you find wanted to send me out there
to see if there was something to the story. So,
like I said, I was out there and interviewed many people.
I went to the police station and interview the policeman there,
(31:36):
and I went to the local little newspaper there in
New London and it's funny, but the editor didn't you
want to talk to me. She wanted nothing to.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
Do with me.
Speaker 5 (31:46):
I went to the control tower there at the New Groton,
Connecticut there and they wouldn't even let me in the door.
They didn't want they didn't want anything to do with
me there. And a lot of people that I interviewed.
Mostly it was it was guards. I figured interviewing the guards,
the outside guards. You know, if anyone would be seeing
UFOs at nighttime or any time would be them. So
(32:08):
I interviewed a lot of them, and did you get
it easily? They told me nothing. They said that they
weren't allowed to discuss things of that nature, and and
so it was a wash.
Speaker 6 (32:20):
You know.
Speaker 5 (32:20):
I want to interview many people and and really got nowhere.
It was really just kind of it was very strange
to me. I just can't put my finger on it,
but it was, it was just it was it was
a strange, strange deal all around. So I just classified
it as unknown because you know, we that's what's why
new Fine. They what they do is we can only
classify cases as unknown because we don't know, you know,
(32:45):
like we couldn't classify a case as identify the alien
crafter identified the flying saucer. We're not allowed to do that.
So all of the cases are essentially unknown.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
With new fonn let me ask you something. We hear
a lot about disclosure, you know, and there are those
within the UFO community who believe that there's a government
conspiracy to suppress the information about UFOs. Therefore, you know,
the disclosure question comes into effect. As a senior investigator,
(33:19):
should there be disclosure and if so, why.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
Well, at first I thought that it would be great.
You know, it's good to know the truth. You know,
we had to be told the truth. But on the
other side of the coin, I personally, I think disclosure
would probably do more harm and good. I mean, what
good would it really do, except you know, if the
(33:45):
ellenser were coming down and was going to help us
medically and give us cures for diseases and all this
and that, which is a different story. But quite frankly,
I think I think religions will go go upside down,
and I think that people will I don't think people
would be able to handle it. I think a lot
(34:06):
of them is going to jump out a window. And
I just don't think people could be able to handle
that because, quite frankly, the UFO community thinks that a
lot of people know about UPHIE and UFOs and all
this and that, but a lot of people don't. Let's
face it, there's what thirty I think three hundred and
(34:27):
thirty million people in the United States, and one tenth
of that would be thirty three million. So if thirty
three million people, if they were into UFOs and they
did know about u FI and didn't know about sightings,
and you know, when you look at it that way,
that's only one tenth of the population. There's a lot
of people out there who have never heard of upon.
(34:48):
They don't want to hear about the UFOs. They want
nothing to do with it. They don't believe it. And
I think if the President comes on the TV one
one Sunday and says that UFOs exist and aliens are
busying us, I think uh stock markets will crash, and
I just think it would do a lot of harm.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Why do you believe the media in general has ignored
UFO sightings from all over the world. Why isn't Why
aren't UFOs getting the press that they used to get.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
I think that the government has has put us a
question on a lot of that. I think they basically
have told these these newspapers and news agencies, and I
think the all of these newscasters have been told to
downplay it.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
But it isn't it possibly believe that?
Speaker 5 (35:43):
Isn't it?
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Isn't it possible that the public just doesn't have any
more interest in UFOs because there's no proof.
Speaker 5 (35:52):
No, I don't think as well. With all of the
movies they have these days, and you know, at all
the aliens and UFO movies and everything else is there
that they have on TV and the movies. I don't.
I think it's being promoted more than anything. But you
seem slowly being brainwashed that these ailing things exist, and
(36:13):
you know, people may not go crazy.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
But on the other side, on the on the other
side of the coin kin, you know, there's a lot
of movies on TV about strange and weird other things
as well. You know, there's a lot of science fiction
movies of time traveled, this, that, and the other end.
Of course, the people don't take them seriously because they
know that it's entertainment. Is it possible that, because of
(36:41):
all the hype of UFOs, all the lack of evidence,
that people are realizing, hey, it's entertainment and entertainment only. Therefore,
the media says, well, you know what, if the story
isn't interesting to the listeners, the readers, or the viewers,
why carry it.
Speaker 5 (37:01):
Yeah, well you could be you could be perfectly perfectly right. Yeah,
that's a that's a good possibility there, that's for sure.
And I don't know, it's really hard to save it.
But I think we are getting more sighting for some
I don't know, these people who come up with these
figures that you know, only ten percent of the sightings
(37:22):
are reported and only two percent of them are real.
And I don't know where to come up with these
crazy numbers, but quite frankly, I think there's a I
think we're getting more and more sightings every day, and
I know Mupond has been getting more sightings. We were
averaging thirty thirty sightings of a day and now she's
up to fifty or sixty day. Now this is a worldwide,
(37:43):
of course, but most of them are still in the
United States. And like I said before that I think
people were just starting to come out of the closet
and admit that they've seen something strange in the sky.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Tell me about alien abductions.
Speaker 5 (37:58):
Well, not had a couple of cases with the alien abduction.
As a matter of fact, we did some hypnosis sessions
over at George Powler's house and Meffort and I feel
that I feel they're they're the real thing. I mean,
these hypnosis sessions were really incredible, how the people reacted
(38:20):
and what they told us. Uh, you know, I really
I really couldn't see how you'd have to be one
hell of an actor to be able to put on
an act, you know, that you were under hypnosis and
coming up with with what they're saying.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
It's what are these things?
Speaker 5 (38:38):
It's a real thing. And I think that's I think
they're curious, and I think they're experimenting on on us.
They wondering what we are, what we're made of. And
they're apparently even doing the same thing to lot of
cattle mutilations and horses and and uh, I had a
sighting down in Alloy Township in Bridgton a few years ago,
(38:59):
and and we came to the conclusion that this humongous
black triangle is essentially looking for horses and cattle.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
Tell me what these people who undergo hypnosis, how do
they explain or how do they describe their abduction experience?
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Well, essentially they describe it when they're under hypnosis as
if they were really there, and it's it's it's really
weird just to sit there and experience that, you know,
depending on the kind of abduction, you know, there was,
but like I said, I was present on two of them.
(39:40):
And Uphon has been up and down about the abduction.
You know, as a matter of fact, we have a
licensed hypnotist here in New Jersey. One of my investigators
up in North Jersey. He's a state don sty, he's
a chief of police, and he's licensed hypnotists and and
he's been trying to be approved by MUFI because it
(40:06):
seems like one year Muphon says is okay to hypnotize,
and the next year you can't hypnotize. And I don't know,
they don't think they've they've really made up their minds.
Is to do they want to go that route? Because
you know, quite frankly, I feel you really have to
know what you're doing in order to hypnotize someone. And
(40:27):
you know, some of these people who want to be
hypnotized because they think they were at Duck that you know,
they may be opening Pandora's box and not realize it.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
What do you think the aliens want from us? Do
they pose a threat to national security? No?
Speaker 5 (40:46):
I really don't think so. I think if they wanted
to defry us, they could probably destroyed his plan in
a matter of seconds if he wanted to. But no,
I think they're just curious. I think the the universe
is so large people, you know, it's funny you're always
hearing the sciences say that oh we we we can
(41:07):
see one tenth of the universe now with our you know,
uh hubble. And I'm saying to myself, how on the
hell could anyone come up with any kind of a number,
you know, ten percent of the universe? I mean, what's
what's They're basically saying there's there's an end to the universe,
And quite frankly, I think there's a there's one hundred
(41:30):
trillion Earth like planets floating around just like ours. That's
how big I think the universe is. And apparently some
of these aliens I found a way to uh, you know,
get from one place to another and in a short
period of time.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
The people who have had alien abductions do the do
they have a common thread? You know, is there a
common thread between their psychological profile? Is there a common
thread between they're so status? Is there anything that you
can connect the dots with why they are being abducted?
Speaker 5 (42:07):
Well, in the two cases we had here, their families
were also involved, and it's saying that these abductions went back,
you know, to their childhoods and involved some of involved
some of the family. So in the two cases that
I worked on, that was the that was connected. I've
connected the dots on that one, and I'm sure, I'm
(42:30):
sure not all of them are like that, but I'm
sure there's quite a few of them out there that
where you know, if someone thinks they were abducted a
week ago, you know this person may have been abducted
twenty or thirty times throughout their life.

Well, uh, that's that's a good one. I think there's
something going on there, of course, you know, experimental aircraft
and all that, and I think that there had been
some UFOs and I think they've done some reverse engineering.
And as a matter of fact, my wife and I
had a strange occurrence a few years ago we went
(47:38):
to the back gates of Very fifty one. We went
we were in Vegas for seven days per hour wedding anniversary,
so we decided to hit area for one while we're
out here, and we were halfway into our trip and
something something came over our car. It was so loud,
you know, we ducked down into our seats and make
(47:58):
a long story short, though you know, we didn't see anything.
So you know, we did make it to the back
eights and took some pictures and everything, but that was
that was very strange, you know, that experience we had
at Area fifty one.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Now I understand you were also a presenter at the
UFO conference in Baltimore that was held on May the
tenth of this year, twenty thirteen.
Speaker 5 (48:22):
Yeah, it was aerial phenomenon Antonia, Paris. He's he's the director.
I'm also a senior investigator for his UFO organization. And yeah,
we had a really really nice I think we had
sold out seats to over three hundred people were there. Wow,
I did Baltimore conference. So it came off real.
Speaker 1 (48:40):
Good, excellent, Kenneth. People have photos of UFOs. How can
they get them to you?
Speaker 5 (48:47):
Well, I usually get all my photos from Uphon and
UFO O casebook and basically they can just send them.
I'm getting people now sending me photos and stories and

Okay, well, yeah, you'll have to check that out. Don't
get me started on religions. Oh okay, Yeah, it's a
Christian organization and some things have to be done, is
basically what the bottom line is. So I started at
a few years ago. It's funny with all this research
I do with your thos, I come across a lot

of strange things that I was never told.
