Ep 97 - The Gaslighting of the American People with Dan Shyti, author of American Gaslighting

Why is it we see politicians continue to directly lie to their constituents, even with evidence to the contrary revealed prominently to the same people -- and why, despite such proof debunking those claims, do people continue to believe them? To quote an old phrase: "Because they can." This is because many in the nation have been gaslit to believe whatever the State tells them without desire to question the established narrative with the help of a complicit mainstream news outlets and large social media companies.

In this edition of Thought to Action, LTC Tony Shaffer talks with Dan Shyti, author of American Gaslighting: How America Is Taught to Hate Itself, Shyti discusses how the political monolith in Washington, Big Media and Big Tech companies have worked together to push established narratives, create a population where a loud half unconditionally believe them and the squashing of anyone who questions such authority and their falsehoods. This is where we get the mass amount of people who believed the Jussie Smollet hoax, the Russian Collusion hoax, denied the existence of Hunter Biden's hard drive, refuse to question why the Epstein Customer Ledger was never released and think the economy as it currently stands is cause for celebration. Shyti breaks down how people have been systematically gaslit to the point where they fear and shout down anything which pokes any holes into the collective worldview to which they were told to adhere.
