Sawandi Wilson was the final new character introduced in "Star Trek: Discovery," arriving in the last act of the series finale "Life, Itself." Playing Michael Burnham's son, Sawandi was the first to don a completely new Starfleet uniform, and piloted his Admiral mom to the NCC-1031 for her final mission.
We chat with Sawandi about his time on the set of Disco, working with Soneqhua Martin-Green and David Ajala, and what he knew about this very secretive conclusion to the Herald of New Star Trek shows. Plus, Sawandi tells us about some of his other work on film and screen, like "Casa de Flores" and "Harlem," his roots in breaking (as in break dancing) and the ESPN documentary that showcased his skills, and what the future holds for him.
