Speaker 1 (00:01):
The paranormal UFOs, monsters, mysteries that you're listening to Talking
Weird and know from the Kevin Deep in the northwards
your host, Doctor Dean Bertram.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Well, Happy Halloween, all my fellow widows and weird as.
Welcome to Talking Weird. I'm the Untold Radio Network. I'm
your host. Though you might not recognize me tonight, hopefully
the accent still gives it away, Dean Bertram, And I'm
delighted that you're spending the evening on the lead up
to Halloween with me for the next hour or so anyway,
or maybe you're listening to the show after that where

(01:05):
it stays archived on YouTube and Facebook and x where
it's going out live now, or listening to it on
one of the many audio platforms where it drops the
next day. Regardless, welcome. I'm so glad you're here, and
I have you got prep for Halloween? Got a mountain
of pumpkins downstairs. I'm getting ready to carve with my daughter,
several of them from my own patch, and I bought
some excessively large ones my wonderful girl friend, Sir Matt.

(01:28):
That brought me some others as well, So I've got
plenty of pumpkins, plenty of candy. Looking forward to taking
my little one trick of treating tomorrow night and carving pumpkins,
of course, and then probably settling in to watch my
favorite Halloween film, which is Halloween three, Season of the Witch.
Perhaps you have a favorite Halloween film, maybe you can
mention it at some stage through the night in the comments,

(01:48):
because I'd love to hear. I'll be asking our guest
about what he does for Halloween. Maybe you want to
share that with me as well in the comments, and
also what films might be his go to on Halloween,
because I know most people have them. Speaking of our guest,
I'm super stoked having back on the show. He's a
renowned jazz musician and paranormal investigator, and for over thirty
years he has led the acclaimed Eric Mintel Quartet, performing

(02:11):
at prestigious venues like the White House and the Kennedy
Center and captivating audiences with his innovative jazz compositions. Beyond music,
he's made a name for himself in the world of
the paranormal with his hit TV series Eric Mintel Investigates,
which I just love, exploring a phenomena from ghosts and
UFOs to Bigfoot and dog man sightings. His dual careers

(02:32):
highlight his diverse talents and insatiable curiosity. So I'm absolutely
delighted to welcome back to Talking Weird for this very
special Halloween episode, the one, the only, Eric Mintel and Bigfoot.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
The reasons, Eric, thank you so much. Ma. You know, Dean,
I gotta tell you, Man, I really appreciate your comments
and your kind words because you're one of the few
that gets it because you were in the same boat together, right,
so we all have to kind of help each other
out and a lot it's a lot of work for
what we do, right, and especially for you putting on
a podcast. I've been on your show several times, always

(03:11):
have a blast, and you're one of those cats really
easy to talk to, and I really appreciate everything you're doing,
so thank you for having me on here.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Man. I always love how busy you are. People we'll
talk about later in the show, but there's a link
where they can watch your show in the comments, and
also where they can buy your books and visit your website,
cool everything else. I think most people in the paranormal
space are familiar with you, but for anybody who's not
please go over and check out eric site. So maybe
before we jump into the deeper, darker regions, I'm going

(03:43):
to let you tell me what you're doing for Halloween. Well,
perhaps I slip out of this mask so it looks
like you're talking to a human being instead of a
Harry Hart the first suit on Welcome Oh Harry Harminid.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
What am I doing for Halloween? Nothing only because Dean,
I've been you know, as you just said, I'm so busy.
The last my god, what has it been like. I'm
gonna just lift this up a little bit. I've been
doing talks and presentations of my show since like early September,

(04:18):
every single night of the week, and I've been going
I just did thirty presentations in thirty days, so it's
been a real, real busy time. On top of that,
we've been doing video. We've been shooting video. We just
partnered with Pocono Mountain Tourism Bureau and Pocono Television, so
we're doing a lot of video for them. And that's

(04:40):
been such a godsend and so much fun working with
Chris Barrett and Marlon Kissner. They're just great, great people
and of course working with Dominic Satel, and we have
a new cameraman, Mike Striebel, who this is our core
team now and it's just been really great. So as
far as what I'm doing on Halloween resting because the

(05:00):
next day we've got let's see, the next day, on
November two, we've got the very first annual jim Thorpe
Para Con, which is happening out here in jim Thorpe,
Pennsylvania on November two. And we've got and I'm sure
your listeners know who he is. We've got Nick Pope
from Ancient Aliens is going to be speaking uh at

(05:23):
the at the festival, at the parra Con. And we've
also got Bill Burns from UFO Hunters is going to
be there as well, and of course myself and Dominic
will be there and another buddy of mine, Jim Krug,
and it's going to be a fun day. We've got
a lot of vendors that are going to be there
selling all kinds of really cool stuff. So it's just NonStop, man,
It's just yet. Ever since I started this, it's just

(05:46):
been NonStop. There he is there, he is, There's the
dean I know.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Frank my watch a little bit more now and have
to be the man of the hairy Homonet of mystery. No,
you're always so busy. A didn't mentioned to your race
in the comments? When not in the comments now when
I was booking you for the show of how impressed
I am with how busy you always when you relax.
So tomorrow will you will you be giving candy to
trick or traders?

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Well, we don't. We live kind of in the country,
so there's not really a lot of trick or treaders here,
so we kind of keep it pretty dark. I hate
to say that, but now we But no, I'll be
I'll be trying to take it easy tomorrow. But I
got a few things I have to do in the daytime.
But then you know, tomorrow night and then Saturday, it's like, uh,

(06:32):
we're doing so you just mentioned my jazz quarts. That's
what we're doing is on Saturday we're playing one of
our first holiday jazz concerts at noon. We do our
Charlie Brown Jazz concerts during the year. Most of the
year it's like I'm doing paranormal. But then November December
we do our Charlie Brown Christmas concerts, and that'll be
a lot of fun. That'll be the first one we're

(06:53):
going to be doing on Saturday, and then from there
I'll go up to the Para Con right after that.
This is from like twelve to two in a place
called North Wales, Pennsylvania, and I'll be going up to
the Para Con on Saturday night and then Sunday all
day up there, and then I gotta I gotta drive
Nick Pope to the airport at like from two in

(07:13):
the morning. He's got to be at the airport by
five am in Philly. So it's there's gonna be no
sleep for me for the next two days. So it's
gonna be crazy.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
And you'll maybe you'll be hallucinating spooks some.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
I might be. I'm doing that right now.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
More of a shock when you came on and I
was already in the big Foot cost.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
I know, I was like, oh my god. Well it
was funny because today this morning we just taped a
show which will be on actually tonight at eleven thirty
in Philadelphia. We were down in the city doing a
show called Mike It's the Mike Show. And we went
on there and talked about all the things we're doing
Paranormal Wise and it's a it's a fun little show.
But we were there this morning and Mike, our cameraman,

(07:52):
had the Bigfoot costume on, so he came walking by
set while you know, like a like we were talking
when we were talking about Bigfoot in the Pine, he
comes walking by, and it was fun. It was just
a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Maybe maybe we'll jump in the big Foot in the
Pine parents. We just I just had a sort of
from Horror Smith was talking about a barred owl was
outside his house hooting, which was appropriate. And Horror Smith,
of course is a good friend of the show. He's
Professor Emeritus of Astronomy in physics at Michigan State University.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
And he's wow, very cool and.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
A good friend of mine as well. He's a great guy.
But he said, Dean has scared my hour away when
I was in.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Was that tonight? That was just now, Yeah, oh my god, unbelievable. Dean,
you have this effect on people.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Apply them all the way. Funny. My daughter who's always
loved owls and she loves birds in general, recently this year,
as I'm sure my girlfriend Sam's probably in the comment somewhere.
I'm sorry if I missed you when I had the
big foot mask on Sweeten. We go out when we
go outside at night now, like we'll go outside and have,
you know, sit on the porch and stuff. On a

(08:55):
Saturday night, there's a cacophony of owls. And I'm not
talking about like a little bit. I'm talking about owls
and NonStop for hours. So and we've always had occasionally
owl see nothing like that. Some of the old calls
are particularly weird. They sound like, as my daughter says,
it sounded like a monkey like it's it's a very
strange sound. And so my order, who used to love
our calls, is terrified if we're out during even in

(09:17):
the evening when it starts like early evening and those
owls start, man, she will run for that door and panic.
I think I think she thinks it's a big foot
or another strange creature of the northwards because it sounds
like a monkey too. Are making, you know, hollering.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Wow, did you get any But did you get any
audio of it out?

Speaker 2 (09:34):
I think my I don't often have like I don't
use a smartphone, so I don't have anything normally on me,
although I have film audio recording but I think I
think Sam my girlfriend recorded a couple of times. It's strange,
perfect for this time.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Of year as well, of course, oh yeah, totally totally.
And owls are so cool too, and so really really cool.
There and there, there's there's that lure of you know,
when the owls are around, there could be aliens around
as well.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Hows and not what they seem in twin Peaks as well,
there's this thing about and who is it. Mike Clelland
wrote a book about the owls being being somehow these
you know, I guess avatars of mystery or something, or
traditions in pagan religions of the owl, the idea of
you know, the owl, which is very strange. Maybe it

(10:23):
just goes to nocturnal burden. It makes those noises at night, but.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
I don't know. It's like with like like Whitley Streeber
he thought at first he thought an owl got in
the house when he first saw this thing. And you know,
so very very you know, Dean, I just you know,
this was just a statistic, not to change the subject.
But there is a UFO. You probably know this already,
but there's a UFO sighting and report every I mean,

(10:48):
there's a UFO report every eight seconds in the world.
That's so there's there's this story goes way bigger than
we know, you know, and it's I think it's really
where I was in my talks. I've been saying that
we're in a good period right now where you know,
the government is like and the whistleblower is coming out

(11:08):
with all this UFO information and all the declassified footage,
and basically they're saying, hey, folks, the UFOs your senior
are real. We just don't know what they are, you know.
And I really truly believe that they don't know. You know,
they may know, but will never know. You know. You
had mentioned I played the White House, and I played
the White House in nineteen ninety eight for President Clinton,

(11:31):
and it wasn't at the White House when we were there,
but it was Clinton was also had said that as
soon as he took office, he realized that there was
a government within a government right away, And so there's
stuff that we probably will never know.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
I think that the level of everything is so highly strange.
I don't even know how much the government though, to
be honest, it was only on Paranormal Pool Show the
other day, and I was I was making that point.
The world is so increa strange. I think it's give
some people comfort that the government know all the secrets.
Maybe they don't. Maybe the great mystery of Halloween is
it a time or the great pleasure of celebrating Halloween,

(12:09):
is it's a time that celebrates the mysterious and the
very strange. I want to talk to you about creepy
encounters tonight, though, and maybe we had a and this
might be as good as good a jumping point as
as as any other one. And there's Sam. Thank you
for joining, honey. Somebody asked in the chat. In fact,

(12:31):
that was Jason Finch, who I believe is a Channel members. Well,
so thank you, Jason. He says, I don't know about
dog Man or Bigfoot? What do you gentlemen know about that?
And I know you know quite a bit, and you've
had some pretty creepy encounters with both, particularly dog Man.
Maybe that would be as good a place as any
to jump off with it your creepy tales tonight.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Oh yeah, definitely, definitely. And you know, you know you
also said too about Halloween and that and that the spirit.
I think it's also why we do what we do,
we have that sense of wonder, right, that sense of
wonder of the world has kind of gone by the
wayside because just too many things else are going on
in the you know, around the periphery. But I think

(13:10):
you know what you do, what we do. I think
you have to have that sense and I certainly do
have that sense of wonder, like what is going on?
You know? As far as Bigfoot dog Man, you know
you said it, dog Man. I mean we were out
in your area, and we were in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and
you know, we did this investigation on the Beast of
Bray Road. I'm sure your listeners will be familiar with

(13:33):
that and what the Beast of Bray Road is. It's
an upright canine dog man, werewolf type creature that has
been seen in that area for years. It goes back
to the thirties. But I think that there's probably a
family or a pack of these creatures out there. But

(13:54):
to be honest with you, when I first heard the story,
I was just I said to myself, well, we're probably
not going to see anything. It's a great story, but
we're probably just gonna you know, we'll do a great
documentary we'll talk to some great witnesses and that would
be it. And my whole world was changed the night
of October third of twenty twenty one when we actually

(14:17):
encountered this creature on the farm of Lee Hample. Now,
I don't know have you ever interviewed Lee, but Lee was.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
I'm aware of who he is, but I've never spoke.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Yeah, he's a great guy and he's at his a
thirty five acre hayfield. And a long story short with Lee.
He was a math teacher in Illinois and the Wakanda,
Illinois school system could care less about the paranormal, didn't
want anything to do with it, didn't even think about it.
But what he wanted to do when he retired was
he wanted to be a hay farmer. So he bought

(14:53):
this particular farm, which is about two tenths of a
mile from Bray Road. He bought it off of his
mother's a state in I believe it was twenty eleven,
and he started farming there in twenty thirteen and he
had his first encounter of this creature on his property
and it was basically like he was backing out of
the driveway one night he sees these red glowing eyes

(15:15):
staring back at him from the barn, and this thing
leaps fifteen feet in the air and disappears. And so
the next morning he goes to his neighbors, Hey, you know,
there's something here, and they go, oh, yeah, a lead
that's where the creature lives on your property. So right
away and Funny Lee goes, you know, I knew Wisconsin

(15:35):
was the home of alcohol, but these guys were serious
and it was crazy. So the next day he goes
over and finds this seven pad five toe track, which
was just bizarre. And just from that point on he
started putting trail camps up around the property and it
was getting all kinds of weird stuff, this weird mist

(15:56):
that came through, these weird UFO lights going through through
the forest, which when I first saw that video of
these lights going through the woods, I thought maybe they
were four wheelers, because I'm always trying to debunk what
is out there, you know, But it couldn't have been
because it's one of those things where you're when you
see something on video and then you're on site. We

(16:20):
noticed right away that there was no way it could
be four wheelers because the trees, it was so dense
in that area. It was like the New Jersey Pine barrens.
It was so dense you couldn't you'd have to stop
every second to get around the trees. But these lights
were moving really smoothly through there. So that was bizarre.
And I don't know if I ever told you this.
When we went over to that field to check those

(16:41):
where the woods were, we had our hotel room card
keys in our you know the little cards that use
for the hotel. We had those in our pocket, and
when we went back to the hotel, they were all
demagnetized that night. So it was something there's something over there,
like a like a hortal type of energy or something.

(17:02):
But the night of October third, we're doing this investigation
and we were in Lee's barn and I said Lee,
could we do an investigation in the field, and he goes, yeah,
but be careful, and he wanted to give me a
flare gun to take, and I didn't take it because
again I didn't think we were gonna see anything. But
I'm glad I didn't take it. I probably would have
set the corner field on fire. But we get out

(17:23):
there and it's a thirty five acre hayfield. So it's
a pretty big area and all the corn it was
a big rectangle and all the corn was up, but
all the hay was already culled, it was already down.
So we went over to this little bait area and
you've heard me say this. We go over there. The
first thing we see is a UFO that goes over,

(17:44):
this solid orb of light going over our heads. Were
sitting there saying, what the heck is this? And we're
looking at it, looking at it. There's other planes around there,
and all of a sudden, it does this forty five
degree angle real quick and blinks out. And that was
the first thing. And we were like stunned that this
is no sooner than we get out to this part
of the field which we which Lee called the bait

(18:06):
area where we were where we were stationed. And so
the second, the second thing that happened was we heard
these howls. And I always say that they're not they're
not coyotes, they're not owls, they're not screech owls, they're
not foxes, nothing like dogs, wolves, nothing like that.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
And what this was, and I've had people listen to
this that our experienced hunters, outdoors people. They all said,
it sounds the same thing that I thought. It sounded
like like it sounds like a man screaming in like
this low guttural scream growl. So we hear one howl,
we hear the second howl is a little closer. And

(18:47):
that third howl that we heard that you could see
on our video it's called the Beast of Bray Road
alive and well on YouTube. That was the crazy and
that changed my whole perspective on what was out there.
And you know, the fear factors there were like what
are we hearing? What is this? But then what really
got us to get out of there was Dominic said,

(19:08):
why don't you shine the light over to where we
heard those howls. So he shines, Scott shine the light
over to where we heard the howls, and there in
the corn, about six to seven feet we see eyes
going like this back and forth. And that was it.
I said, you know what, we got to get out
of here, because it was telling that told me that

(19:29):
howl number one or whatever it was, said get out
of here. This is my territory. And we beat feet
out of there. Man, we were gone, and we went
back to the barn, and we were at four wheelers
and we went back up to the barn. Lee couldn't
believe we were back so soon. And this all took
place within forty five minutes. But Dean, there is so
much more to this story, man. I mean, a weird

(19:51):
mist came up from the field. It was messing with
our audio. The whole town of Elkhorn lost power that night.
It was just a bizarre effecta of paranormal activity.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
It was crazy when you see so many different weird things,
like you saw eyes which and you said, you heard
something which sounded presumably like what a dog man would
sound like. You saw weird live, you saw essentially an
identified a flying object by definition. Do you think that
those things are all related somehow?

Speaker 3 (20:25):
You know? Yes? And it was wild too because in
the barn, when Lee was showing us all the I mean,
he's got thousands of pictures of all of this stuff
and all the evidence that he's got. One picture in
particular was pretty interesting. It was a daytime picture of
these really crazy orbs in the sky and it kind

(20:46):
of like it reminded you of like the Eye of
Souron from you know, from the Hobbit series, but it
was it was this weird orb with this black thing
in the middle, but it looked like a cross. It
looked like it was cross in this middle of this or.
And what I thought the connection could have been with
that was when we saw that UFO. I'm thinking, is

(21:09):
this thing depositing this creature because in that orb it
looked like it could have been some kind of creature
in that orb really bizarre. And and then and then I'm
thinking to myself, you know, or is it coming? Is it?
You know there's those energy lines, you know, the lay
lines around the world. I think maybe that Elkhorn has

(21:29):
got some real high strangeness in that particular area. You know,
Scott was working our camera. He was also working drones too,
and earlier in the day we basically were going we're
doing some reconnaissance in the area, and we went over
to that bait area and we were on foot and
we went over to that area through the field and

(21:51):
Scott was following us with his virtual reality glasses with
the drone. So we get over to the to the
bait area where we had all this activity, and we
disappeared off of his screen. So like digitally he lifted
the glasses. We were still there, but digitally we were gone.
So that was really bizarre. There was a real connection there.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Did you feel I know, because you've done other dog
Man investigations as well. Correct, Yeah, I'm wrong. Was there
a similar feeling when you were in both of the locales?
Like what what was the was it was there? What
carried across with you when you were investigator? There were
there similar experiences? I mean, I'm curious.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
I mean it was we did in another investigation of
the Beast of bryn Ath and it was another dog Man.
It didn't have the same feeling out here, and that
was this is the place outside of Philadelphia. Bray Road
had some kind of really crazy energy because down in
that area I remember it well because it had been

(22:54):
windy as we were going down there. When we got
to that area where he's got the trail cams and
has had all like the he's putting the road killed
deer in this bait area, no wind and it was
all it was completely silent, and it was like the
whole energy shifted back there. So it was really really interesting.
The one that we did up here in Pennsylvania. You know,

(23:16):
we didn't encounter or anything. We got a lot of
great stories we did. The only thing that did happen
was in this field that one of the students at
the local college had seen this dog man. She described
it as And I don't know if maybe some of
your listeners would realize this too, or if maybe had
this experience. You remember the old flashbulbs cameras, you know,

(23:39):
where it would do the flash. They said they saw
this dog man coming in and out of this flash,
so it would be one in one spot, then it'd
be another spot, then another flash would be another spot.
So we went over to that field where they said
that they saw this, and the magnetometer that we had
with us was really going off the charts there. So

(24:00):
it was some kind of weird energy in that particular field.
But you know, we didn't see like, we didn't get
any kind of howls or anything there. We didn't get
any eye shine or really anything that way. So that's
why Elkorn really stands out as one of the craziest
experiences we've ever had. And you know, and then you
were talking about Bigfoot in the New Jersey Pine barrens.

(24:22):
Like a week later, we did an investigation there of
Bigfoot in the pine barrens. And that was amazing too,
because we were there. We were in an area called
the Wharton State Forest. And if anybody remembers that movie
Blair Witch Project, that's where that was mostly filmed in

(24:44):
the pine barrens. And so if the pine barrens are
thousands and thousands of acres of just dense, dense forest.
And we're in an area called the Bowl and it's
an area it's like very high on the sides and
low in the middle, and we set up a base
camp in there, and we were about five miles into
the pine barrens. No house is back there. It's a

(25:06):
ceed or swamp where we are, so there's no houses,
nobody's back there. And we're sitting in base camp and Dean,
I know you've seen these Bigfoot shows too, where the
guys are whooping and hollering for Bigfoot, and I you know,
I always had to maybe do a little chuckle because
I'm always like, is that what they sound like? And

(25:26):
I'll be damned, that's not what we heard. And while
we're sitting there in base camp talking, we all hear
a whoop in the woods behind us, and then we stopped,
and then Eric Spinner or uh, the one of the
researchers there, his wife goes to answer it back with
her own whoop, and you could hear and they were
having a vocalization they read this conversation. It was the

(25:49):
spookiest thing we ever heard. Pitch black and you're hearing
these sounds come back and forth, and then all night
we kept seeing like red pin points of light. Wasn't
big the eyeshine, but we were seeing red like pinpoints
of light and just really bizarre stuff. And of course
most people know the New Jersey Pine Maarns as the

(26:11):
home of the Jersey Devil, but I always thought, and
you know, and I could be wrong, but I always
thought that the Jersey Devil was a misidentification of Bigfoot.
And the reason why we were down there is because people,
the Eric and the other researcher, Art Mac, they were
getting these reports of these really like crazy five to

(26:31):
six foot tall, hairy individuals they said, going into properties,
going on house properties, getting the garbage, bringing it back
out into the woods, and they're getting hair samples, they're
getting tracks, so very very bizarre, and they're not bears,
and they're on two legs. You know, some bears, if
they have like a hip impingement or something like that,

(26:54):
there's something wrong with their back, they will be on
two legs. But there was a large majority of these
things on two legs. So that's why we were down there,
and it was just another bizarre night, crazy and I
stunned you that much.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
I've heard I've heard people you did, Stu. I've heard
people suggest that maybe maybe tales of the Jersey Devil
were people misunderstanding. They had a sighting of sasquatch and
they just thought, well, that's the devil we've heard about, right,
Was that something you when you were there, were people
conscious of.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
That or you?

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Yeah? Yeah, because there the thing was these guys were
getting reports of but they were all always inconsistent, Like
the Jersey Devil is supposed to be a big winged
like horse like creature, as big as a horse, but
there's also reports of it being as small as a
turkey or a medium sized dog. So it's always very inconsistent.

(27:52):
But uh, it was weird. But you know what Dominic
said was so who was with me that night was
Dominic Setel, who is my paranormal teammate in this now,
Dominic is a spirit medium. This is completely and also
the dog man completely out of his wheelhouse, right, and
he said he felt safer in the pine barrens than
he did in Elcorn. Oh interesting, yeah, because it was

(28:16):
that was a really crazy night, man. I mean you
could see everybody. You could see our faces on that
video when we heard that Hewl the third hel and
that was just insane, man, I mean, and the only people.
And it was great because we were only it was
a small crew, so it was me, Dominic and then
Ellen Collins and Ellen's son Scott. It was just the

(28:39):
four of us out there and it was just we
just were just happy to be there at the right time,
at the right place, you know, the right place, right time. Now.
Six months later, we did another follow up investigation of
the Beast Ray Road and didn't encounter at that time,
which I'm kind of glad we didn't because number one,
for safety purposes. But if we did encounter it again,

(29:02):
people could say, oh, these guys are faking it, you know.
But we didn't encounter at that time at all. But
what we did get was one hundred and forty people
showed up at our town hall meeting that told their
story of seeing this creature, and they all described it
the same way. When it was on two legs, it
looked like it was gliding, but when it's on all fours,

(29:24):
it's really fast. So that was bizarre in itself. But
you know who else was saying that as well, was
when we did that dog Man investigation in bryn Athyen.
They were describing the same thing that it was like
gliding on two legs, almost like floating. So really bizarre stuff, man.

(29:44):
And I mean I always say, at the end of
the day, people are seeing something, they're experiencing something.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Did dominic cusa, as you said, a spiritual medium, did
he have a sense that what you were seeing was
maybe more spiritual or paranormal than a physical type cryptid
What was his takeaway or he's feeling from that?

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Yeah, the second investigation of the follow up investigation, we
did have him tune in on something there, and you know, Dean,
he didn't really come away with really anything there. He
just thought of that it's there's a weird energy there.
He didn't really, you know, specifically say what was there,

(30:24):
what he was tuning in on it was. That was
hard for him because number one you know, we were
all kind of jumped up at that point, you know.
And and the weather was really bad too. And this
was April, this is like six months later. It was
the weather was really cold and rainy, and and all
the corn had been down as well. But you know,
and Bray Road, like I said, is only like two

(30:45):
tenths of a mile from Lee's farm. When we were
there in October, I found it really interesting though. We
put the drone up over Bray Road and people were saying,
you know, you can't park on Bray Road. You're going
to get arrested. You know, people are going to come by,
the cops are going to come by. We had no
problem at all. Even a police officer came by and

(31:05):
he goes, he goes, what are you guys doing. I said, well,
we're doing a documentary on the past of Bray Road.
He's like, oh, I have a great day, I said,
have you. He's like, have you ever seen it? I go,
did you ever see it? He's like no, but I've
heard about it, and he just he moved on, you know,
so he let us alone. So it was pretty interesting.
But when when Scott put the the drone up, we

(31:26):
saw and the corn was still there. We saw big
cutouts in the corn going over from Lee's barn, or
from Lee's property going over to Bray Road, crossing Bray Road,
and then going over into the quarry. So these big
cutouts and it wasn't a vehicle, there was nothing that
was driving in there. So it was really weird. So

(31:47):
we just got not too long ago, we got the
permission to explore the extra one hundred and eighty five
acres out there. So we are going to try to
plan another expedition next year.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Fantastic.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
I will let you know because you should definitely be there.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Oh that's very kind. I've out with you when you're
in Wisconsin regardless.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Because you're not that far from FROI not.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
I mean, I'm I'm a few hours, but it's close
comparatively to with you. Would you know, if you bring
it in the East coast or something exactly.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
Oh my god. And Wisconsin is a big state, man.
We didn't realize that.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Yeah, it's it's it's toilet is wide, you know what
I mean. But it's right, it's a sizable state. It's
not as tiny because out east there are so many states,
as you know, because you're from out East, which is
small states like Wisconsin's probably the size of half a
dozen plus, you know, New England states, maybe even more.
It covers a lot of land.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
Definitely love it.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
I love it here too. Out East is real pretty
as well. I was out there a couple of times
in the last the last year and a half shooting
for my feature documentary. Just having to interview people out
there for the rape am a bit I'm doing because yeah, yeah, yeah,
there collection And I hadn't been there. I hadn't been
out East for I don't know, Okay. It was so
nice to be back there. You do a lot of

(33:08):
paranormal investigations out there. When I mean that, I mean
ghostly ones. There's some experiences you've had that have been
particularly hair tingling when you've been looking into the more
traditional supernatural, like things we think of as spirits or
from the other world.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
Yes, there is a well, I'm sure you've heard of
the lady in white, right, Okay, now the lady in white,
Now correct me if I'm wrong, But the lady in
white is supposed to be waiting for someone, or guiding someone,
or protecting someone. And I've had my own encounter with
this entity. My father had one out here in Bucks

(33:47):
County and we did an investigation outside of a place
called New Hope, Pennsylvania, right here in Bucks County. And
it was an investigation on this lady and white encounter
that my friend Tim had in the late eighties. And
what was really weird about this was he was driving
his brother's VW and he was going over this bridge

(34:09):
out of nowhere, and it was so real to him.
This white woman in white appeared and he literally went
right through her. And he went right through her and
right on the bridge, and it was so real to
him that he slams the brakes on and he calls out,
are you there? Are you okay? And no one's there.
So we went down to the bridge and we did

(34:30):
this investigation, and Dean, I'll tell you, man, it was
the craziest thing. I had a flashlight with fresh batteries.
All of a sudden, this thing starts going crazy right
in that area, and it's all on the video. You
could see it on our video. It's called the Lady
in White. Then it was the weirdest thing. We went
down a little further down the road and when we

(34:52):
were walking back up. Our cameraman, Mike noticed it first.
We hit this, and it was this was April of
this year, and so it wasn't it was wasn't cold,
and it wasn't hot out either, but we hit this
like wall of heat right in that area. It felt
like a portal. It was like at least a thirty
degree temperature change warmer. It was like a heat and

(35:15):
it was just the weirdest thing, and we all felt
and you could see us get like, what the hell
is this? So and that was right in that area
where where Tim had his encounter. And then we were
getting orbs and stuff like that right there at the bridge,
So that was pretty interesting there. I know, my own
my own encounter though of this entity was in I

(35:35):
don't know if I ever told you the story was
in nineteen ninety seven and I was as a jazz musician.
I was going to a gig and I was on
one of the back roads here in Bucks County. It's
called Pine Lane. It's all up all woods, and I'm
going at a pretty good clip because I'm getting, you know,
late for the gig, and all of a sudden I'm

(35:57):
driving down and all of a sudden, the deer runs
out in front of me, and I hit it, and
I felt terrible. I hit this thing and I slammed
the brakes on and we're sliding like sixty feet. Now,
for your listeners, I'm a jazz musician. I play piano.
And so I get out of the car. I'm looking
at this poor deer. We're in the headlights. It's dead. Obviously,

(36:19):
I'm feeling terrible. And a woman's voice behind me in
the woods says, how's your hands? And I'm like, who
says that? So I turned around, goodness, and there she is,
all in white, comes out of the woods. But here's
the thing. She comes over to it. So I'm stunned.
First of all, I hit this deer. I'm already feeling,

(36:42):
like you know, in shock, and then this happens and
she comes over to the deer, takes this two hundred
pound deer by the ear and like drags it off
the road like it's light as a feather.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
Yeah, And she says to me, get in your car
and get out of here. Now I didn't see her.
I saw her, but I didn't see her mouth move
or anything like that. It's like I'm trying to describe this.
If someone was standing in the headlights, you know how
they're like blurry, like if the light was on you
and they're standing there, you can't see them. It's like

(37:14):
the Witness Protection program thing that they do on videos
sometimes where they're silhouetted out. That's exactly that's what she
looked like. But I could see the white all white,
and she said get into your car and get out
of here. So I didn't say anything. I was stunned.
So I get in the car and I went to
the gig. I told the guys what happen. Still going

(37:37):
through my mind, like what the hell happened? And I
went so I told the guys would have and they
were freaked out. And then in my rational mind, I'm
thinking to myself, well, maybe there's a house in the woods.
Maybe there was a woman in the woods somewhere that
she's the one that spooked the deer. And that's how
I hit it. But I went back there the next day.

(37:58):
There was no houses around, nothing but woods, and the
deer was gone. But the deer could have been taken
by the game commission. But that was so weird and
it happened, and then you know, I didn't even think
of her as a lady in white though I didn't
even know about the lady and White. Only a couple
of years ago I realized this. I always thought of

(38:20):
her as like a guardian angel. I didn't even think
of her as a lady in white until And I
don't know why I didn't put the two and two together. Here.
My father had an encounter in nineteen seventy five. And look,
it was the seventies. My dad was a partier. I'm
gonna not sugarcoat it. He was a pretty big partier.

(38:41):
He later on became an alcoholic, unfortunately, but he was.
But this particular night, he said he was completely sober.
And what happened was and I heard this story my
whole life. We used to live in a place called
Upper Black Eddy, and we would literally be and we
had like we didn't have much. We had like a
We lived in a little duplex that we rented, and
we were on the bottom and there was somebody else

(39:03):
on the top. And we lived across the street from
the Delaware River. You know, we're washing across the Delaware
so Delaware River, and we're maybe about a quarter a
mile away from the river. So you can get a
good sight view of the water. And my dad's there
and it's two thirty in the morning. He's cooking a
little steak on the little habachi grill that we had

(39:24):
at the time, and he said, he's sitting there and
he's looking at the water, and all of a sudden
he sees something white floating on the river, and all
of a sudden, his eyes are adjusting. He says, my god,
it's a woman, And all of a sudden, from a
quarter mile away, she goes to look at him, and
when she looked at him, her face came right up

(39:45):
to his face and right there and then turned away,
went back on the river and started to floating down.
And as she's floating down, he said that words she
said were I'm going home. I'm going home. And he said,
you could hear these words echo through the valley. And
I heard that story my entire life, and even on

(40:05):
his deathbed a couple of years ago, I said, Dad,
did that really happen? And he goes, yes, I swear
that happened. So I always say, man, it was like,
you know, having him have that encounter and I had
my encounter. It was just I didn't realize that we
both had the same encounter. Even though his was on
the water and mine was in the woods, it was
still kind of like the same entity because on that

(40:28):
same road there is a restaurant called the Black Bass Hotel,
and the legend is there was a lady in White.
I don't know if it's the same Lady White, but
there's a lady in White that found out that her
husband was cheating on her. And this is in the
seventeen or late seventeen hundreds, wound up killing the husband
and the mistress and killed herself at this restaurant. And

(40:51):
she's been seen all over the area. So maybe that's
who I saw. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
You know, it's so strange the proliferation of lady and
White stories, and both Horace Smith and Flat Rockland aka
Matt made points about, you know, the lady appears in
all these other stories. Why do you think there's so
many similar encounters, like all over the world.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
Really, you know, maybe it's an angel. I don't know.
Maybe maybe it's it's like I said, it's like they're
guiding you, because it's like this traumatic event that happened
for me and then she appeared. You know, and it
was just very very strange. She could have been an angel.
Maybe she was, you know, that was and that's what
I thought for years. I thought it was a guardian angel,

(41:37):
and so I took some comfort in that it wasn't
anything scary, but it was just kind of like there
and what she did that was what blew me away,
you know, just like taking the deer off the road
like that was insane. So and then having no houses
back there. But I, you know, and and my friend
Tim having the same encounter. I don't know, it's just

(42:00):
it's a strange. But maybe it's like now we're in Halloween, right,
the veil is getting thin. Maybe it's maybe it's around
those times of the year because it was like in
November that I had my encounter. I don't know exactly
what month my dad had is and I think Tim
had his encounter in maybe early October as well, So

(42:21):
who knows. I mean, that could be another dynamic to
the story.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
I was about to ask you, that's funny enough because
Jason Finch had said the thinning of the veil earlier.

Speaker 3 (42:29):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
So it's fascinating that you that you mentioned it. Now
I do wonder if somehow because obviously the legends of
Halloween say it's a time when the veil you know,
is thin and the things from the other world can
come in. And I wonder if there isn't some kind
of truth to that. I'm not sure. I'm not sure

(42:52):
how or why. Maybe it's because the winter is approaching
and we're more conscious of or culturally in the past
we were certainly of death and the dangers of the winter.
Post it's funny when I lived in Sydney, of course,
well a Halloween's on the other side of the calendar.
So in Halloween you're going into this is October thirty one,
but I'm on the other side of the seasonal calendar,

(43:13):
so you're going into summer. It's getting warm, it's a
great time to throw parties, it's a great time to
have fun. It was only even in Sydney at the
other at the other side of the calend. Then when
it starts getting cold April May June, moving into the winter. Right,
it wasn't like here like now. I know what now
I comprehend after living here the impact that it must have,

(43:36):
particularly in like pre modernity, when there weren't like you know,
you couldn't get in the heated like my heaated truck,
my f two fifty. I can turn on the heat
and I can drive to town and you know, drive.
If there's a snow problem, I've got my you know,
my my snow blower. I can blast. But I mean
back in the day, oh yeah, I wouldn't just take

(43:57):
a drive to Walmart if you didn't have enough food
or you know, order on Amazon or Sam's Club or
whatever you use to get a food delivery, you know,
the next day or two days later, if you hadn't
bought in all of that food, if your harvest had failed,
if you hadn't butchered enough animals, if you weren't prepared
for the winter. Death was really present then. And I wonder,

(44:17):
I wonder how much to this, And I'm not downplaying
the reality of people experiencing things, but I wonder how
much that time of the year impacted our understanding of
the other world and the closeness that it seemed to
be to us. I think much of the thinning of
the veil I can better understand now, even though I

(44:38):
live in this modern system where I'm fine, you know,
to die if I don't have enough groceries in my cupboard.
Come you know, Halloween. Now, I understand it now because
it is the weather is so different, the season is
so different. I'm conscious in the fact that I've got
to cover my pumpkins if there are still any, you know,
on the vine when the first when the first frost comes,

(44:59):
I've got to get every way out before the first frost.
You know, I would in for the winter because I
would furnace. So I'm more in tune, and I'm not
in any threat, but I'm more in tune with those
people who in the Northern Hemisphere used to be Genuinely,
it was a time of potential life threatening experiences. Even

(45:19):
if you were ready, you know what I mean, you
could still get stepped in and Lord knows what would
happen to you. So I kind of get that now.
So I think your point about maybe maybe maybe it
became such a part of the collective subconscious or our
way of looking at death in the other world, that
at least a time, we interact with these things more,
or these things interact with us more.

Speaker 3 (45:40):
Absolutely, I couldn't have said it better, you know, And
I was just saying to myself, you're Australian. I didn't
realize now no, but I mean now, I mean it's
like you're right, it's like these things are you know,
they happen. But here's the other thing that I think
of too, that could be a possibility. Maybe maybe you'll agree,

(46:02):
maybe your listeners will agree. Is that I think that
also people are connected to the spirit world somehow. I
think somehow they're connected in a way, and maybe even
like maybe through family lines, you know, like maybe through
generation after generation, like that family member has had the

(46:23):
gift of second sight, so that's passed down to another,
you know, part of the family. Or it could just
be like maybe their antenna is more attuned to those experiences.
You know, we're because you could you know, you know
how it is you could be standing there and you
could see a full body apparition of a ghost, but

(46:43):
the person next you doesn't see it, and it's it's
just like, you know, it's that old dynamic of like
you know, you you uh, you see a red car
and you're thinking about the red car and then you
see it everywhere you know, and it's like or does
that make sense? Yeah, like what you're looking for then
you're seeing there's also talks are we creating the paranormal?

(47:06):
Are we creating that somehow in our minds? There's been
talk of people being able to call in UFOs, like
manifest these UFOs. So there's a lot. I mean, you
can go down a lot of rabbit holes that way
with what human beings are very capable of a lot
of we haven't even used half of our brain power.

(47:28):
So I think there's another there's probably a lot to
explore there, you know, the mind, you know, and what
we're able to uh to cultivate that way, you know,
and what were to manifest?

Speaker 2 (47:42):
I agree, I think that we I think there are
things about the powanormal that we don't think about enough,
including what you just said, and including that maybe these
experiences that people have potentially tell us more about us
than we really want to think about, or maybe that
maybe that's the value of them. Maybe the value isn't

(48:04):
in discovering what the reality of proving the reality of
a ghost or the reality of Bigfoot or the reality
of a flying sauce, And maybe the value is what
does this tell us, regardless of the reality of these things, right,
tell us about us as a species and our fears
and our needs and our place in the cosmos. And

(48:25):
again this ties in with Halloween because maybe it tells
us an awful loss about about our position still within
this kind of natural order as well as in a
supernatural order, and these things do tend to come together
at this time of the year.

Speaker 3 (48:39):
Oh yeah, and you know, it's always two And I
don't know if you've found this or not, but it's
like there's never you know, it's there's never closure because
we're always there's always more questions than there is answers, Right,
So why do we explore the paranormal? Why are we
doing this? Because we are trying to search for the
truth of what is out there, you know, and what

(49:02):
people are experiencing. But again, it might be an individual thing,
because you could go anywhere in the country, right and
there is some kind of paranormal experience or a paranormal
event that people have experienced, whether it's UFOs, Bigfoot, whatever,
I think anywhere across the country there is a town
that's got that story. But again, maybe it's all individuals.

(49:26):
It's individuals that are able to manifest this paranormal activity
or just being so in tune to it. That's what
I'm saying. Again, it's like the mind being able to
cultivate all this stuff. Is that's another area of exploration.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
Oh, I think so, And I think that's what perhaps
we should focus on more as people who are interested
in this space, and clearly you do, which is one
of the reasons I like talking about I appreciate that
this stuff because you have somebody who has a very
open mind, which is I think you can't approach any
of this stuff with a closed mind. You know something,
I know what your take is, or you or you're

(50:02):
interested in this at all, or you've had any experiences,
or you've talked to anybody who has or One of
the things I love about Halloween is that often in
the modern tradition of Halloween, we tend to think more
about ghosts, and we tend to think more about witches
and monsters and pumpkins and all these other things. But well,

(50:24):
perhaps we say we think about spooks and sprites, right
as they labeled this show the sprites. Of course, in
the old Country where I come from, back generationally, not
in the.

Speaker 3 (50:37):
Luck, which is the back in the day.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
Yeah, generations ago, my people were Celtic. They're Gaelic and
it wasn't you feared the dead on Halloween or you
were you were aware they would be looking in, you know,
the veil was down and they would be passing through,
and you were aware they were there. But when the
veil was down meant something even more to people of

(51:01):
Ireland and of Scotland, and that was that all inhabitants
of the other world, which were perhaps even more dangerous
to us and more present to us. Was the fair folk.
Was the fairies, was the she was the other crowd,
And Halloween traditionally was as much about their presence as

(51:23):
it was about the presence of the dead. And it's
so complicated because the dead and the she or the
fay are often interconnected and they often inhabit the same
space in Old Celtic law. But have you in your
many investigations, because you've done so, and have you come
across like fairy law or fairy faith? I know, I
know America is genuinely generally thought of a place of

(51:45):
fairy faith, but I know sometimes some of this law
came over to the New World.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
You know, we haven't we haven't experienced anything like that,
but we did. I mean, you could say, similar to it,
but not maybe not. But we have had reports of
people seeing small individuals, not as midget like, but smaller
walking like like a guy was walking or he was

(52:14):
driving out of his driveway and it was like two
in the morning and these three people in hoods, small
people walking in front of his truck on this property.
Was crazy, and it was weird because they didn't look
like normal human beings but they were. And the one

(52:36):
turned and looked back at him and like shuffled away.
They didn't like walk, but they shuffled, So that was interesting.
And that was a that was at a local vampire
museum that they had this encounter. And I'll tell you
a dean in that particular place, the Vampa Museum, there's
all kinds of really crazy stuff going on in there,

(52:57):
so I'm not surprised if there is kind of fair
lore in that place, because he has over seven hundred
vampire killing sets.

Speaker 1 (53:06):
In this you know.

Speaker 3 (53:07):
And I didn't realize, but in Europe people had these
in their homes for protection, and it was amazing, Like
we have here crosses in the Bible, you know, and
that kind of thing these people had right down to
the Holy Water. The salt, you know, the steaks, the hammers, insane,
so you know, it's that kind of stuff. But that
particular museum with all the haunted objects has a lot

(53:31):
of crazy stuff, but we haven't really haven't delved into
that though. That's something that that I wouldn't mind kind
of looking into a little bit more as well, because
there is there's all kinds of things that we haven't
even scratched the service with.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
Well, there's so much in this space, and you do
a great job on the things you do, but you
could you could if you live for a thousand years,
it'll it'd still be cold. You could poke into I mean,
it never.

Speaker 3 (53:54):
Ends, it's never any Yep, it's but it's But at
the same time, it's fascinating because you know, I just
had a UFO report and I did a UFO video
on this. It's on my YouTube channel. And what struck
me about this UFO report was the fact that these
particular objects were squealing and flying around each other. They

(54:19):
were doing this electronic squealing and they were like playing
with each other. But the witnesses said they were translucent,
and she described them as like cartoon splats. They were
like pulsating like that, and they were doing this and
playing with each other, but this high pitch squealing. And
then they see and this is in the ocean, by
the way over the ocean. And then they're on a

(54:43):
cruise ship at twelve o'clock at night, and other people
in the ship saw it. Then they're looking. He goes
to go get his phone to go take a picture
to see if they come back. She says, look, look, look,
and he grabs him brings them back and here an
orange orb is coming out of the water. Hover is
there for a second and then takes off. After those

(55:04):
two things, So then I think to myself, translucent squealing.
Are we even talking about like machines? Maybe we're talking
about a new life form, you know, because look at
all the reports now of all these UFOs coming out
of the water, and even like even the grays. I

(55:27):
don't know if you'll agree or not, but don't you
think the grays kind of look aquatic? They look like
they could be fish.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
That's interesting what I will say about things coming out
of the world. Because now we even have Tim Burschet,
who's one of the main you know, Congress and people
who are all for UFO transparency, and disclosure and this,
that and the other, talking about you know, underground or
not underground, underwater UFO basis. But this stuff goes back.
There's a long history in ufology. Forget about folklore, because

(55:56):
there's even a longer history, but at the very beginning
of the modern euphological era, which was really as I
talk about extensively on the show, and I've talked about
in the short documentary. I have the Shaver of Mystery
and the feature that I'm making, but it is that
Richard Shaver back in amazing stories in the mid nineteen
forties were saying there were these ancient races and some

(56:19):
of them lived beneath the earth and some of them
in the waters, and they were technologically advanced, and they
had essentially flying sources. And then the late great Ivan Sanderson,
who was a friend of John Keel, who was also
one of the main cryptozoologists. He's a person who did
so much work in early cryptozoology. We owe so much
of what we think about cryptods to Ivan Sandersen. He
wrote a book called Invisible Residents, and it was essentially

(56:41):
saying that these UFOs are probably at least some of
them are coming from beneath the surface of our oceans,
our seas, and so I think this and if you go,
of course, if you go into older fairy folklore and
other various religious folk lo it's the idea of civilizations
under the sea. And right now it's a very it's

(57:02):
a long standing tradition.

Speaker 3 (57:05):
It's amazing. I mean, you couldn't Yeah, you could talk
like you said, for you could talk about this stuff
for a thousand years and not get to the to
the meat of the story. But you're right, it's it
goes back. I mean, Dean, it goes back thousands of years.
I think they've been here. They're they're already here because
of the frequency of these sightings. They've got to be
here already, you know. And now the fact that they're

(57:26):
not they haven't really been. There's not really been a threat,
right there's not really. I mean the airline, the pilots
and those kind of things. There is now that kind
of thing where you know, there's being seen almost every day.
They're becoming like, you know, like you don't want a
mid air collision, you know. So that's that's the only

(57:47):
thing that they're talking about now is the safety factor.
But for them to even talk about it is amazing.
I mean, they're just to acknowledge that that's going on
is amazing.

Speaker 2 (57:59):
It's so a weird, weird world that we inhabit, Eric,
and I'm grateful that there are people like you that
go out there and do the hard yards and look
into the weirdness. So people like make and just hypothesize
on shows like this. As always, you are an incredible guest.
Can you let our listeners and our viewers know who

(58:23):
mightn't be familiar with you, where they can get ahold
of your books, where they can watch your show, what
websites go through, Throw a few different addresses or places
for them.

Speaker 3 (58:31):
Oh, that'd be great. Thank you so much, and likewise, man,
always a pleasure talking with you. You could get my
book it's called Eric Intel Investigates Casebook Investigations right on Amazon.
You can also see my show on a couple of
different areas a YouTube of course, Eric Bintel Investigates. There's

(58:52):
a platform on app you can get on Pocono Television.
We just partnered with Pocono Television. It's an app on
any rope Co TV, any smart TV. You can get
the app. We're on every night at seven o'clock and
new episodes on at eight o'clock on Saturday nights. And
then we're also on channel called The Beyond Paranormal Channel,

(59:14):
also on any smart TV and a lot of different
cable stations and things like that. But those are the
ones that you'll be able to see right away. And
then we've got a lot of really cool things coming up.
We're doing a video on the on Bigfoot in Milford,
Pennsylvania pretty soon. I'm finishing up right now, the November ninth,

(59:35):
nineteen seventy four Carbondale, Pennsylvania UFO encounter which these people
saw this incredible and this crowd encounter of this orange
orb landing in the local silt pond, which everybody saw it,
and it glowed into this pond for like hours and

(59:58):
could not be explained to this day. And they're still
talking about it so much so that they put together
this festival, the Carbondale Alien Festival, and I'm speaking there
on November eighth in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. And then, like I said,
this weekend, if anyone's around the Jim Thorpe area listening
here in Pennsylvania, we've got the first annual Jim Thorpe

(01:00:19):
Para Con on Sunday, November two from twelve to five,
and Nick Pope's gonna be there and Bill Burns, So
we've got a lot of it's gonna be a lot
of fun. But we're always doing something. Dean, there's no
grass that grows under my feet.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
Man, you can say that again. I would encourage people
to get your books. What's your show? Which is always
so much fun, and if they anywhere mee where any
of your appearances are, to go and check you out.

Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Definitely. And you had mentioned about Halloween.

Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
Movies earlier, Yeah, what's your favorite?

Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
Hell, one of my favorites obviously is Halloween John Carpenter,
the Original and then you've got it. You've got to
say that you got to watch this. It's a great pumpkin,
Charlie Brown, So there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
My daughter is I raised it to be that way,
but she's such a fan of the and the Vince
Geraldo scores are just so absolutely as you well know,
but we watch that every year, So people should definitely
watch the great. Yeah, it's a great pumpkin, Charlie Brand
and Halloween and Halloween three, there's so many, there's so

(01:01:24):
wonderful Halloween films out there, and I have to have
you back on to talk about the UFO case when
when you drop that story.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
That would definitely when that comes out, I will send
you a link and obviously it'll be on YouTube and
all that, but yet, definitely let's talk because it's an
incredible story, Dean. We could really, we could really dig
into that. It's really really cool.

Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Yeah, I can't wait to have you back because it's
always such an incredible pleasure. I appreciate it, so thank
you again Man for being on. It was great, Dean.

Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
Thank you man. You are a gentleman and a scholar,
and I really appreciate it. Man, thank you so much.
Happy Halloween, be safe, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
Man, you have a very happy Halloween as well, and
I hope everybody else out there has a happy Halloween.
I hope you enjoy carving your pumpkins if that's what
you do, eating your candy corn and your peanut butter
cups as I do, and watching your favorite Halloween movie.
Make sure to lock the doors and set your jack
O lantern outside as I do every year, to keep

(01:02:19):
the spooks and this writes away, and have a very
happy Halloween, and until I talk to you all again,
which will be same we'd time saying. Weird Network the
Untold Radio Network next Thursday at nine pm Central. Please

Stuff You Should Know
Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
