Don't know, translates to the Queen. So if you want
to get I'm down with that.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Come up with something.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
Loraina the Queen Lorena.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
I hate to break it to there's only one king
in the United States, that's Burger King. And there's only
one queen in the United States and that's dairy Queen.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
So get off that. Just talking about that.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
The other day.
Speaker 6 (02:38):
I want their chicken strips with gravy so bad, but
they're so hard to find around here, y'all.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Really slim Dairy Queen chicken strips and gravy.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
Rob wants a dilly bar from dairy Queen.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
I mean, my goodness, all right, that's what that was funny.
Loraina the Queen, Loraina the Queen on the Ones and
the Two super producer Rob is in the house. On
the Updates, Moncey Belanos said she got a show you
know right, yeah big.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
Because she's slumming. What are you doing? She's actually gonna
grace us with her brain. That's not true. I'm so
excited as true as you haven't been here, you gotta
show you think you are.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
That's there's no but your head is so big you
can't even fit in the studio that is around And.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
You know what, Chrince and Moncey, I thought that maybe
the show got canceled. That's why she's back on doing up.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
None of that is true.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
But season everybody's here.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Nobody takes days off, so there's just not as many
shifts available.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
Moncey, I for one never missed your show.
Speaker 7 (03:56):
Thank you, Chris Today Joe, but don't jokes to joke.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
That he didn't finish this. He never listens to it,
so he never misses it. Thank you. Hey, Chris, you
want to know how Big Monci said it is?
Speaker 2 (04:18):
She only does her updates now in the main studio
on the Big Chair.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
I believe it. I believe it. I definitely believe it.
I was great to have you back on the social media.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Our man, none other than the great Elijah Sebunya. We
got Greg Jenny's Super Bowl champ joining us at the
bottom of the hour. Keep it locking that, but Rob,
let's get to it the NBA. Rob G just summarized
quickly this trade. Damian Lillard going to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
Not surprised at.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
The Miami he yet we don't even need We are
the particulars on the on the update, so we don't
need to give you all the day's basically DeAndre Ayton
going to the Blazers alone on with Drew Holliday, who
may be moved on. They get to what the first
first round rounds right, prick swaps you know, Chris, I
(05:09):
think as well, and they get Useef Nurkics. Grayson Allen
from Milwaukee and some other pieces. So yeah, go ahead, rock.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
I was just gonna say, I'm not surprised. I thought
Miami just drew this out. They if they really wanted him, Chris,
he wanted to be there, they would have anted up.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
And give me, give me gonna get into Miami.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah, give Milwaukee credit. They stepped up. They wanted to
make a decision. They got Jannis Belly aching about moving
on and all that, so here's your here's your guy.
They went out and got a guy and did what
they had to do. I think the loss of Drew
Holliday is bigger than most people think.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
I really do.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
I think there was something when they won that championship.
He was big for them, but.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
A really good player.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Yeah, I mean, but but I can't if you're Milwaukee,
I can't be mad at them for trying to add
Damian Lillard and do something different. But I'm just saying, Uh,
Drew Holliday was a good player for them and he'll
be missed, but uh, you know.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
But they got a better player.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
No, I get different type, but it doesn't right, But
it doesn't mean that ultimately one guy help you win
a championship doesn't automatically mean, you're gonna win with Damien,
is what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
One guy is never automatical.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
Yeah, but I'll say this and you may maybe you disagree.
I think that the Milwaukee Bucks now are the favorites,
not only in the Eastern Conference, and I'm not saying
they're gonna run away with it.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
I think Boston is still right there.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Philadelphia and they can't win the East, but you know,
they're a good team. They'll be in the hunt. They'll
be somewhere around there. Miami, and they play hard, they'll
be somewhere around. There'll be a nuisance. But I think
the Milwaukee Bucks are the favorites in the Eastern Conference.
Rob and I'm I think they're the favorites in the
(07:02):
entire league.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
It'll be tough.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Denver's tough, but it's hard to repeat La. You know
they'll be tough. Golden State still there, Phoenix is loaded,
but I think Yannis Anti Tokopo is in my view
now the second best player in the world behind Nakola Jokic.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
And Damian Lillard is bad like Damian Lillard is.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
A bad bad boy and rob outside of like Steph Curry,
Damian Lillard to me is the perfect.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
Fit with Yannis ant to goopo.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Yanna's is not a closer, Damien is, and now Chris Middleton,
who was your closer, can become like a secondary closer,
which is great. Damien is a great shooter. That's one
thing the Bucks needed, that decent shooting. Drew's a good shooter.
Damien is a great shooter and his range is ridiculous.
(08:12):
The pick and roll with Damian Lillard and Yannis is
going to be crazy. And they still they're a great
defensive team. Now you lost some defense obviously with Drew Holliday,
who's a better defender than Dame.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
But Drew got served by.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
Jimmy Butler and Jimmy Butler was just telling him about it.
You can't guard me, and he couldn't and he's a
great defender. And they still though behind Dame who's not
a great defender. They have got so much size, Brook Lopez,
Bobby Portis, big boys and Yannis obviously, and Yannis is
(08:53):
so rangy and athletic and long, and he'll be able
to cover.
Speaker 5 (09:01):
So much ground defensively while the big boys handle the paint.
Uh that I think they're gonna be fine.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Defensively, so again not saying it's gonna be easy, and
I think I think the other teams ever shot, but
to me, the favorite obviously in Vegas. Now to the favorites,
the favorite is the Milwaukee Bucks, and uh they they
should win it.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah, I still will take Boston in the East and
I'm sticking with Denver.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
I'm gonna stick with Denver uh as the favorite to
win and repeat until someone shows me what they did
last year. I was quite impressive, and I just think, uh,
until until I see how Milwaukee puts it together and
if you know and the pieces parts, it sounds like
on paper, Chris, of course you could look at it,
(09:47):
and if you're in Milwaukee, I would be excited too
on paper, but it's not always done on paper, so
we have to see. I'm gonna stick with Boston in
the East and I'm gonna stick with overall. I'll stick
with the Joker and Denver to get back to the
finals and probably win it again. I like that Denver
(10:09):
team and I need to see somebody be able to
beat them because the way that they put it.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
Together, and then they'll have a year under their belt.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
And you're right, Chris, it's not Repeating is very difficult
in all of sports.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
I mean, the NFL has been a million years.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Nobody's repeated in baseball and the over I have repeated
in the NBA lately, remember.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Golden State obviously with Durant Lebron and the Big Three
in Miami. So you know, it used to be when
you had to showtime Lakers who did repeat. But they
were the first time seem to repeat eighty seven eighty
eight rob in twenty years, you know.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
So I'm just saying like, yeah, it's tough, So it's
tough to be.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Tough, but it ain't out of the question. No, I'm
just yeah, So I'm not there. I'm not on that
that train yet. But if you're Milwaukee, you gotta feel great.
You wind up getting a big time star player and
we'll see. I know he's had some moments in playoff games,
but he's also had some stinkers. I remember the sweep
(11:12):
when they went to the Western Conference Finals. Didn't play
that well in the Western Conference Finals game. I don't
have all the numbers in front of me, but I
remember them getting sweeping. I'm not playing well.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
He's generally been a very good playoff player. He's certainly
had bad moments, but he's generally been a very good
playoff player. Obviously he hits some big clutch jump shots.
The moment is not too big for him. But he
hasn't faced this type of pressure. He's never been expected
to win anything, you know, like anything huge. He's never
(11:43):
been expected to get to the finals, and there is
a you know, it's just a level of ease that
comes with that when you're always the hunter instead of
the hunted, right, and now he's going to be the hunted.
As I said, not only me, but Vegas has them
as the favorite. Boston is very good. Obviously, they got
(12:06):
the Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum. I I they beat
Milwaukee in the past with their emphasis on defense, they
don't to me, they don't have that same I think
it's clear they're not even emphasizing defense as.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
Much as they were.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
They're an offensive team that wants to play good defense,
but they used to be a defensive team first under
Email Doka.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
I think that could hurt them, but they're nice.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
They got christophs Worzingis, remember, so they're gonna be tough Denver.
I think Milwaukee with Lopez and then even Jannis, Like
you nobody's gonna shut down Jokic.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
I was gonna say, the big guys you ain't stop,
you know, but but you make it tough.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
I mean, nobody stops Kevin Durant, but they make it.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
Tough on him and he shooting, he shows and his
shooting percentage and things like that.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
Let me just give you this. I think they can.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Make it tough on Jokic as tough as you can.
I mean, like he's gonna get his points. You know,
you're just talking about shooting percentage. Let me give you
Damian Lillard's only in the playoffs because forty one percent
from the field. He shot forty percent or worse in
nine of his last fifteen playoff games.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
So he's had the little bumps. But Giannis might open
it up a little bit more for him. So we'll wait, see,
wait and see.
Speaker 8 (13:20):
Mike.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
I mean, he's still gotta make it. No might I
mean don't mean just it might be open.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
It don't mean it don't mean that you will make
them nah, but he you know a lot of dudes
shoot shoot that percent. Jordan had finals where he shot
forty one percent. You know, one MVP, So I'm not.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
I'm not. He's a point guard and he shoots a
lot of threes.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
His his field goal percentage is, you know, is not
expected to be what the big man's is, you know,
career forty six percent.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
So I think you know, he'll be He'll be. I
think he'll be fine, you know, but U we'll see.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
They do have to play the games, Rob on paper,
as we always say, So let's start out to the listeners.
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven nine nine,
six sixty three sixty nine.
Speaker 5 (14:03):
We want to hear from you guys.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
I say the Milwaukee Bucks now with Damian Liller, are
the favorites, not only in the East, but in the
entire league.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Rob says, not so fast. He's going with Denver and
Boston as the two favorites. What are your thoughts?
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox's The Akable Fox

(15:36):
Progressive dot Com eight seven seven ninety nine. On Fox
are the Milwaukee Bucks the Favorites next year or this
year coming up to win an NBA championship. Now that
they have Damian Lillard.
Speaker 5 (15:49):
Mark in Sacramento, you're on the couple of Fox Sportuited.
Speaker 10 (15:52):
What up?
Speaker 5 (15:53):
Mark?
Speaker 11 (15:54):
What's going on? Gentlemen? How you guys doing good? Man?
Speaker 6 (15:57):
How are you hanging in there?
Speaker 11 (16:00):
I don't want to say yet. They're the favorite in
the NBA, but it's the perfect fit for what Damian litards.
Damian Lillard should go.
Speaker 6 (16:07):
I think we mentioned this last year, but we said
he wouldn't go there because it was Milwaukee.
Speaker 11 (16:12):
You remember that.
Speaker 6 (16:13):
But yeah, vague, Yeah, the space he and he's gonna
have with those big guys who can also shoot, but
the post player they have, they can't double team him.
Jannis can get off the ball, get back down inside.
It creates so much, so many.
Speaker 11 (16:29):
Different way ways they can play. With their size, they
are going to be extremely hard to stop. But I
kind of want to hang with rob because when you
win it, sometimes you come back with an increased confidence
and it's hard to beat you because you have the
newfound confident and the Nuggets play well together. I'm not
taking it from them because they just know how to
(16:49):
play together and they're still growing right.
Speaker 5 (16:52):
It's not like they're old either. I like that team alone.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Yeah, they're a young team, mark that that could take
that confidence with the athleticism to another level. They're not done.
They're like having maxed out. That's the thing about the
number week.
Speaker 11 (17:07):
And we've seen this before with teams. Uh when they
when they win that first one, even with the bull
them like curse the bulls the pistols. After they won
that first one, they came back hungry because they have
a newfound comp hold on you.
Speaker 5 (17:18):
You're comparing them to three iconic teams.
Speaker 11 (17:21):
I'm comparing them to the situation of winning the first
and then coming back hungry with in that second one.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
Yeah, but that's that's you mentioned three iconic teams, So
you need to slow down a little bit.
Speaker 6 (17:32):
I'm comparing it with the age group because they're growing
up at the same time.
Speaker 11 (17:36):
I'm not telling it wise, but situation wise, the same
things are happening with a young team. But one of
the championships, like.
Speaker 6 (17:43):
Each other, got a superstar in Yokic. It just seems
like it's it's still growing for them and now they
have that company is long.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
That's a long window, no doubt, No doubt that window
is Thanks Mark, great to hear from you, buddy.
Speaker 5 (17:59):
Uh, let's talk to Tony. I'm in in DC. You're
on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What up, Tony?
Speaker 12 (18:05):
What's up? Fellas about guys are doing good? Yes, yes,
I feel with the Nuggets. You know, I'm gonna give
them the benefit of the doubt. But even though they
did lose a couple of pieces in the offseason and
Bowing and Jeff Green, I don't know if they replaced them,
but you know, they championship hangover can either, like Mark
said before me, give you a lot of confidence or
(18:26):
they could, you know, make you lethargy, like, okay, we
can turn on we want to, But I don't think
the Nuggets are that kind of team. As far as Milwaukee,
the only thing I worry about with Lilar is the injuries.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Because yeah, that's a great point. Uh, yeah, that's a
that's that's a definite games last two years. Yeah, he's
definitely your question.
Speaker 12 (18:47):
Yeah, I gotta give the edge to Boston because their
dynamic duel has been together longer. We don't know how
Yiannis and Delon are going to respond in a Game
six or Game seven when trying.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
To side, Okay, who is who?
Speaker 12 (19:01):
So hopefully can get their chemistry down during the regular season,
but those big moments in the playoffs, well the ball.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
I mean, who's who gonna be Lillard making those decisions.
He's just a better scorer and shooter, you know. And
that's been one of the Bucks' problems is they haven't
really had that guy because Janna is as great as
he is, it just you know, doesn't have a go
to move now. I do also like Rob and we
talked about this briefly last week. Yanna is working out
(19:31):
with a keem Olajuain and I don't you know, nobody
wants to see him in the post as much as
the old school dudes. But you know, the ability to
go in there, here and there, Rob, if he has
develops that, I like that. Like if he can go
to the block, if a Kevin Duran or somebody's on
him and he can go post them up and take advantage.
Speaker 5 (19:54):
I love that. Alright, let's squeeze one more guy in
Marty in Kentucky. I know he want to jump it.
He's a hoopster. Who God, Marty, you're on the odd
couple of Fox Sportsuaita.
Speaker 7 (20:03):
How are you?
Speaker 6 (20:05):
I'm good.
Speaker 10 (20:05):
How you guys doing this worship Wednesday?
Speaker 5 (20:09):
How you doing?
Speaker 12 (20:10):
Man?
Speaker 10 (20:11):
I can't explain I'm doing well, guys. I this is
a rarity, but we're talking basketball, and I agree with Rob.
I feel like Denver won last year in a way
that was similar to the teams that have repeated in
the past. If you look at the Kevin Durant Warriors,
(20:33):
they they pretty much cakewalk to that first one and
they repeated.
Speaker 6 (20:37):
And you look back to the Miami who.
Speaker 10 (20:39):
Struggled on there, didn't get their first attempt, but then
the second attempt, you know, their first win with a cakewalk,
and you know, I feel like this team is like
like previous collar mark ped You know, they got room
to get better. I think Jamal Murray hasn't quite peaked
yet right now. They're organically built and Milwaukee's got question marks.
Speaker 6 (20:59):
You got a new coach.
Speaker 10 (21:01):
He's probably better than Botenhauser, because I think Bootenhauser is
probably the worst coach he ever win a championship, but
he still knew and you got players the mans together
had played together before, So I like different situation better
all right?
Speaker 4 (21:14):
There, Yeah, most people Rob with you and that they
are not the favorites. We'll see our next guest, Greg Jenny's,
We'll ask him about this.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
He was a hooper back in the day. As we
before we get to the football, but first.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
I look, and we're gonna get into some of this.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
But Damian Lillard and he, you know, Monzi read his tweet,
so he seems very good with you know, going to Milwaukee,
even though his preference was Miami and Rob.
Speaker 5 (21:57):
I'm just gonna be frank, he's in a better situation.
To me. I agree with that.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
I agree, But I also Damien is lucky because he
sabotaged his own thing, you know what I mean, Who's
people or whoever made it to that it was just
Miami or nothing. And he was fortunate that Milwaukee and
Toronto got involved and the nets were interested, you know
what I mean at the end of the day, because
(22:25):
it could have been bad for him where there would
have been those places to go and and I give
it we'll talk about it, lady, Chris. We mentioned it Portland.
Portland didn't panic, didn't do They took their time, Chris,
and got what they excellent work, Am I right? They
took their time and said, we're not on a clock here.
We're gonna get what's right for our organization and we'll
(22:48):
do it in our time.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
We don't care. The whole summer went by and Rob.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
You look, if Dame goes to Brooklyn, they were a team.
Remember he mentioned Miami New York the net that he
apparently would have been fine going to. But that's just lifestyle.
I mean, you're not winning. You weren't gonna win anything
with Brooklyn, so that would have just been you.
Speaker 5 (23:11):
You like being in New York. He obviously is an
MC A rapper.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Maybe you would have liked that scene, but basketball wise,
you you know, you would have been I mean, probably
a little better than Portland, but you weren't gonna you
weren't a threat in the East if you had gone
to Brooklyn and Rob what really a lot of people thought,
you know obviously the reports I actually talked to somebody today,
uh in the know who they people felt like it
was Toronto. This guy was telling me the Raptors gonna
(23:37):
get to keep Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes, uh and
give up a lot of other things O gianna know
being a few others, Gary Trent Junior.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
For some you know, for uh, Damian.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Lillard and Rob I get Toronto, right, They they it
would have made him sexy. If that would have been
the case, those two Siakam in Barns with Dame would
have been interesting. Would have been a playoff team, I believe,
but wouldn't I don't think they would have won the
East and Dame, you know, would have been there in Toronto.
(24:15):
And so Rob it did work out for him again,
I think we think even better than going to Miami.
The other thing Rob is, you know, and Dame obviously
didn't look at it this way because he didn't seem
to have any any issues, any reservations with saying he
wouldn't have done what Kevin Durant did when he went
(24:36):
to Golden State. And yet he was ready to go
to a team that had been to the finals too
out of the last four years, including last year.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
Right, I don't know what I was thinking.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Right, But now, even though the Bucks won the championship
a few years ago. Since then, they they haven't struggled.
But two years ago they went out in the second
round to Boston. Year they go out in the first
round to Miami. And so you know, even though they
have Gianni's, it's not a super team. Rob they don't have,
(25:10):
you know, it's not a team that was in the
finals last year.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
And even though they have.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
You know, Chris Middleton's are very good players, made a
few All Star teams, but it's not like you know,
a stack deck to where you know, Dame's gonna get
any criticism if they win it, nobody's gonna put a
mental asterisk there. You don't even have them, you know,
as the pick in the East. So this is you know,
I think if they can win it, it's just a
(25:38):
great situation for him all around. And I think better
than Miami.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
Even Yeah, no, I agree, And Miami we'll get to
that too.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Chris, you gotta be careful not to be so stubborn
and have an opportunity a little bit, am I Right.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
I just said, dude, I get it.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
You've been to the finals twice in four years, and
you've done it your way, and you got all these
undrafted guys.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
But you can't.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
But you can't get over the hump. We talked about
them like the Tampa Bay Rays. Chris, go ahead, keep
doing it. You won't win a championship until you go
out and get the player that you need that's missing.
All those other players and all that that's good during
the regular season, it'll get you there.
Speaker 5 (26:19):
You might get it even to the championship.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
The biggest question last year with Miami they couldn't score, Chris,
they could score.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
And but that that's what Damian Liler does best is
he scores the basketball eight seven seven ninety nine on
Fox eight seven seven nine sixty three sixty nine.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
If you want to weigh in the other thing, Rob,
is that Yiannis.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
I think you gotta give him a little credit, Rob,
Like you said earlier, he spoke up.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
Now, I don't know what Milwaukee had he not spoken up.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
Remember he talked about in the article I think it
was in It was in New York Times a month
or so ago, maybe a little longer, where he said,
you know, I'm not sure I'm gonna resign here.
Speaker 5 (27:06):
I don't know if they're as committed to winning as
I am. I want to win rings.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
And I don't know Rob, if Milwaukee would have made
the move for Damian Lillard had he not said that,
but the fact that he did say.
Speaker 5 (27:22):
It definitely caught their attention.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
No, Dad, right going out in the first round, coming
back with essentially the same team, was that going to
do it? What if they didn't get to the finals
next you know, had not made a trade and don't
get to the finals. Now you're wondering, Okay, is Johnny's
even gonna stay? And I know people say, well, he
had a few years left on his deal. He could
have asked out.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Rob.
Speaker 5 (27:47):
You even said yourself you'd have traded him. I would have.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
And it's good that you you weren't running the bucks
because if you had traded him, you wouldn't have Damian.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
Lillard right now.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
But I'm just saying that, but you have to know
if they didn't trade it, that they were going to
be in the mix to try to do something. I'm saying,
if you weren't gonna do it, Chris, say you weren't
in the mix and Damian Lillar wasn't coming, that's when
I would have been there.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
I wouldn't have done it. I remember you had that take.
We disagreed because I was like, I'd wait this year.
There's no need to trade him this year, and then
you know, look, if Dame is healthy, you would think,
I mean, this doesn't mean Gianni's.
Speaker 5 (28:22):
Is gonna be there the rest of his career.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
He's still young, but it's it would seem to me
he's gonna be there the next several years. Dame has
four years left on his deal and I can't I mean,
no reason for him to ask out with playing with
Giannis at Takoupo.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
Rob Dame said.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
A year ago in an interview with GQ magazine that
if he could play with one player in.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
The league, guess who it would be. Dwight Howard, Jannie Oh,
Jannie o Jannis and Uh.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
Chris Haynes' friend of the show, Repeat reported earlier today
that the two had talked in the past about.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
Surprise Christ break this story. Won't you a little surprised?
Speaker 11 (29:09):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (29:09):
Not really, I mean, you know, I'm just saying he
usually they may Yeah, I wouldn't surprise, but he he
said they had talked about.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
Playing together, but the question was like Dame wanted Giannis
to come to Portland, and Portland wanted Dame to come
to Milwaukee, so you know.
Speaker 5 (29:34):
That that that obviously held that up.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
But here they are together now and we'll see what
type of magic, if any, they can make keep it locked.
Speaker 5 (29:43):

Slash a couple, we bring in the.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
Man, Greg Jennings, Muscleman, Mister Universe, mag Jamie. We missed
him last segment, but we got him now and we
only have a few minutes, not as long as usual,
so let's get right to it.
Speaker 6 (30:40):
Greg.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
I know you were a major league Hooper back in
the day. I know because you told me, and so
I want your opinion. I saw video you had game,
no doubt. So what do you think of this trade?
I think it makes the Bucks the favorite in a
whole league. Rob disagrees, he still got Denver in Boston.
(31:04):
What do you think of the trade and what do
you think it does as far as favorite in the league.
Speaker 6 (31:09):
I'm not willing to say that it's a favorite in
the league. I like the trade for a couple of reasons. Obviously,
couple with Giannis, you can stress the floor. Obviously you
got a shooter and Dame that can shoot from the
moment he steps in the gym. Where I don't like
the trade is you lose an all world defender and
Drew Holliday.
Speaker 5 (31:29):
That's what I don't like.
Speaker 6 (31:31):
That is going to hurt the Bucks. I don't care
how you slights it. I get it. I know how
our fantastic Damian Little is as a player as a
scorer of the basketball, but Drew Holliday could score and
he could defend. Now, he's nowhere near the offensive type
of a threat as Damian Lillard, but just as important
(31:52):
as offenses when when you're talking about a guy that
can cover or guard one through four, if five, if
they're going small ball against him, I don't know how you.
I don't know how you cover up that.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
I know he held Butler to thirty seven points a
game or sixty percent shooting last year in the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
You say it, well, he got a he got he
got a hand pick something. Greg to his argument, he.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
Everge thirty seven point six points or sixty percent shooting, but.
Speaker 5 (32:27):
Good, he's a great defender. I'm just saying, Jimmy Butler
gave him the business.
Speaker 6 (32:33):
Let's let me, he gave the whole bucks roster the business.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Let's get here to Sean Payton and what's going on
in Denver and Greg, I don't know you into karma
or whatever. I mean, he was belly aching about Hacket
and how it's the worst coaching job ever. Gives up
a seventy piece oh and three, it's pretty bad. Did
did they quit on him? That's what it looked like
to me.
Speaker 6 (32:57):
Absolutely seventy to twenty already? Did they quit you?
Speaker 5 (33:02):
I mean I said that that I thought I thought
they quit on him.
Speaker 6 (33:07):
In that game specifically. Absolutely, Man, you don't get beat
seventy to twenty and you're still giving your best effort.
I'm sorry. I don't care who you are, what level
of ball you playing. That's just you've quit. You've given up.
As as to speak on Sean Payton, this is why
you don't speak out before playing games like I get it.
(33:30):
You could have felt that way about Nathaniel Hacket. We
all did. But we're not playing any longer. We're not
coaching the team to follow up knowing that we have
to prove everything every day. And now he's he's sitting
here looking like he is worse than Nataniel Hacket because
I forgot beaten seventy to twenty.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
About that.
Speaker 4 (33:51):
Now, Greg, we always jump on you because you are
the biggest Daniel Jones fan on the planet. But I'm
gonna give you some credit man that take it, donate.
It hasn't aged well. But you also have told us
that Joshua Dobbs got game. You've been a big fan
of his, and this was before he beat the Cowboys
(34:15):
on Sunday.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
So I take a bout, man, tell us why you thought.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
That Joshua Dobbs, even before this game against Dallas, was
actually a good quarterback.
Speaker 6 (34:25):
Yeah, so he's a guy that I felt like the
New York Jets should have tried to target and grass
just simply because he's a journeyman. He would have loved
to come over and be kind of a hero. He
can throw the football, he can run, he's accurate, he
picks up systems very well. We saw that in Tennessee obviously,
when they were trying to make it into the playoffs
last year, Malik Willis became a second thought, not even
(34:49):
a thought honestly, because it was like, Okay, we got
this guy who we just got for four days prior
to playing the game or whatever it was. And we
see the same thing in Arizona. Everywhere he's been when
he's had an opportunity, he has impacted that team. He
has been a leader. He's been able to throw the
football around and get guys open and be accurate in
doing so. And so I'm not shocked at what I'm seeing.
(35:10):
I'm you know, we've talked about Josh Dobbs, and I've
told you several on several occasions he's a player, he's
a baller. I don't understand why he hasn't been able
to stick with an organization, but hopefully man, people recognize
he is the real deal.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
All right, that's our man, Greg, Jenny's great stuff.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Brother.
Speaker 5 (35:31):
Thank you for the quick interview, man.
Speaker 8 (35:33):
Absolutely all right, it's time for Shekel City. Welcome to
Shekel City. The whole base for Rob Parkers Daley Dicks
against the spread.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
All right, here we go, Chris real quick one and
two last night, bad night for me. Got the Rangers
best bet minus one and a half runs. I'm taking
the Astros one and a half runs against the Mariners,
and I'm going to the Dodgers minus two and a
half runs playing the Rockies.
Speaker 5 (36:04):
So remember, I'm not telling you who to bet on.
I'm telling you who I bet on.
Speaker 4 (36:10):
All right, well, we got two hours left. We will
talk a lot more about this Damian Lillard trade. As always,
you'll get a chance to weigh in at one eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine
six sixty three sixty nine. A lot of different angles
to hit this on, so we will have fun with
(36:32):
it and you can join us as well.
Speaker 5 (36:35):
Rob looked like you got something to say.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Yeah, I'm just uh, it'll be interesting to hear. Like
the other topics that we're gonna talk about how teams did,
and also about Portland and what they did.
Speaker 5 (36:47):
They stuck to their guns. Chris and I give them credit.
We'll do absolutely, absolutely all right.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
Two hours left here on Fox Sports Radio and STIA
couple Chris and Rob keep it Locked
