Let's get this, punnies, you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:31):

(00:55):
next hour. It's gonna be a great When we got
Baseball Justice with David Justice at the bottom, and then
trash talking Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
You'll get thirty to forty.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Seconds to trash anyone or anything in the world or sports.
You should call in in about thirty five minutes or so.
Get your takes ready and come correct. Rob Parker himself
was trashing the New York Jets for sticking with Zach
Wilson not having a Plan B, and then when you
finally do get a Plan B, it's Trevor Simmy not good. Rob,

(01:32):
let's stick with the NFL. And speaking of playing b's
Baker Mayfield, who is about on his plan d or
e the Browns, the Panthers, the Rams, and now the Buccaneers.
But you know he's been playing all right, playing decent football.

(01:52):
They off to a two zero start, but lost their
first game last night twenty five to eleven to the
Philadelphia Eagles. And Rob, the Eagles are interesting. They were
my super Bowl pick, you know, team to reach the
Super Bowl this year. I picked them in the preseason
and picked them actually to win it all, and they

(02:14):
I feel good about my pick right now. They haven't
wild people, because you know, they haven't been the most
exciting or even dominating team off to this three and
oh start, But I feel like Rob, they are going
to keep improving as the season goes on. It is
a long season with seventeen games. Teams go up, teams

(02:37):
go down, and I think they will just continue to
improve because they do have two new coordinators on both
sides of the ball, offense and defense, and so I
think they're still getting used to, you know, the new
way they're doing things. But even so, after facing two
teams out of the three opponents that have made the
playoffs that made the playoffs last year, they they still

(03:00):
are averaging the same amount of points as they averaged
last year twenty eight. They're giving up slightly fewer twenty
points last year nineteen. This year, and their front line
offensive and defensive lines ROB have been phenomenal, to say
the least. They have run the ball down team's throats

(03:22):
the last two weeks. They're averaging like one hundred and
eighty yards roughly rushing the football about one hundred and
seventy five the last two weeks. That's given them time
of possession advantages that are crazy. Last night thirty nine
minutes with the ball only twenty one for Tampa Bay.

(03:43):
And defensively, ROB they are allowing a ridiculous forty eight
yards a game rushing to their opponent. So I think
that they got something good going. Jalen hasn't been great
throwing the football, and I think he'll improve in that
because that's really the one thing you're looking at saying
they got to get better at that and their their

(04:04):
defensive backfield could be better.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Yeah, my eye test is the Jalen Hurts. Jalen Hurts
was a monster last year. He is not a monster
at least Chris through the first three games, three touchdowns,
three interceptions. Just watching the game last night, he missed
some throws. I just looked at him. The numbers haven't
been great, just average first game. I mean I should

(04:29):
say they had two turnover, two interceptions last night against Tampa.
He had one against Minnesota and their first two wins.
You know, Minnesota winless. New England Uh had only one?
What are they one and two?

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Now?

Speaker 4 (04:45):
They lost their first two and Tampa was a good
test on the road so to get to win. But
just Jalen Hurts. I'm not saying, uh, he's no good
or anything. I'm just saying he's not the player so
far that he was a year ago.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
And maybe it's the.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Offensive coordinator, maybe it's changes, but he doesn't He was
almost unstoppable a year ago. And I don't know if
he's not throwing the football as well, can you do
something to beat this team? You know, like that's the
great That's what made him so so tremendous. Is we
know he can run the football, Chris, but then last

(05:22):
year he was able to pass the ball, and I think,
you know, you have to pick your poison. And now
he just doesn't look like he's exactly the same, uh
passing the football from a year ago.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Year ago.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
He's off to a great start already, and people are like, oh,
this guy's got a chance to be an MVP. Not
after three games. I don't remember exactly, but you know,
he was on that track for most of the season.
So that's what concerns me a little bit. The personnel
changes and the coordinators and if that affects him at
all in the passing game.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yeah, I mean that's, like I said, that's been their
weakness or if you want to call it that. At
this point, there's no denying he hasn't looked as good
throwing the football.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Just he hasn't even if last year looks.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Last year only threw for thirty seven hundred yards, So
it's not like he was throwing it around like to
a or Patrick Mahomes. But he was, you know, more
effective than he has been in the first three games.
Now he's his completion percentage is higher now slightly. It
was sixty six last year, sixty almost sixty eight this
year percent. But he missed some passage last night. He

(06:38):
made some really nice throw The first touchdown as a
kiss was a great pass. You know, he made some
nice throws. But what you're looking for robis consistency. So
he didn't have to be like Mahomes as we know
what he's saying that because they've got the run game
that's great. They've got the defense that's great. So you
just want him to, you know, continue to run the

(07:00):
football well when he does, and make some big plays
off with his passing, and I think he will Rob.
The thing I like about hurts Are one of the
things is.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
His work ethic.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
He's a leader, he's professional, and we talked about it
a couple of years ago.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Rob he worked his tail.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Off in the offseason and got way better throwing the football.
So I think he'll work it out because I trust
his character and also Rob, they got great receivers Aj Brown,
DeVante Smith, Dallas Goddard at the tight end. Like he's

(07:42):
got folks to throw, two folks that will get open,
folks that can run with after the catch. And so
I think his work ethic, his holding himself to such
a high standard, and their quality receivers, not to mention
the running game, like their running game will open up

(08:04):
the pass. You have to be so concerned about them
running the football down your throats that it's going to
open up things in the past game. So I agree
that he has not looked great throwing the football to
this point. And interestingly, Robbie's coming off probably the best
game he's had in the NFL throwing the football, which

(08:26):
was in the Super Bowl. Remember he threw for over
three hundred yards.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
That was a showcase game.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah, right, So you thought, Okay, he's gonna really come
out on fire throwing the ball this year. But I look,
I think a new coordinator can affect you. He's not
playing badly, but he just hadn't been lighting it on
fire like I did last year.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
So the look the look last night especially and maybe
you know I saw, you know, forget the picks, Chris just.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
There were a couple of throws I just looked at
him went like last year.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
I think he was making those a little bit and
just didn't seem to be as sharp as maybe a
year ago.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
But it's a long way to go.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Time to get acclimated to the UH, to the new
OC and UH and continue to build on it. You know,
we'll see if it's if his name. Do you expect
him to be in the hunt for the m B
n V P.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Yeah, I mean he's not right, it's early. Obviously obvious
two is the front runner right now.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Two is the big time front runner. Yeah, he's he's
the big.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Time front runner. I had micah up there after two games,
but obviously he fell off and it's gonna be tough
as a defensive player anyway. I think Mahomes, he was
my preseason pick. Mahomes, he will be there, you know,
I think he'll be there for sure. He doesn't have
the greatest weapons outside of Kelsey, but he just is
what he is. Yeah, I mean, the the interesting thing

(09:56):
is Rob there aren't. I mean, when you look at
the quarterbacks a little more. Are has been okay, but
not MVP like Josh Allen has been better the last
two weeks two weeks, but his numbers haven't been huge.
Burrow obviously battling with the injuries, Trevor Lawrence playing surprisingly poorly.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Poorly justin Herbert trouble No. One and two.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
I mean Jacksonville. But he is, uh, you know, he
just hasn't been as good as as people have expected.
We're expecting him to be. So I think a lot
of the leaders, you know, the guys that we would
look at or we looked at his MVP front runners,
aren't really you know, nobody's off to a great start

(10:46):
outside of Tua. So I think that could help hurt
if he gets hot. Obviously, if they go win thirteen
or fourteen games, rob that almost automatically puts him in it.
If his numbers are decent, right.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
I'll tell you what the the two uh that seventy
point clinic, Chris, Like that puts you out there, you
know what I mean, Like you put on a show.
People will not forget that performance against the Broncos.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
And if he has a good year, he's going to
be MVP.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
You know what I mean. Just he doesn't have to
put those kind of numbers up. But that if you
had the question, like he has numbers close or something,
you would remember that performance he put on. It's one
of those that could win you an award.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Well, if it's close, let's say he and Mahomes are
close wins or you know, essentially the same for their teams.
He's gonna get it over Mahomes because one, as you mentioned,
you just got the outlier of the seventy point game. Right,
it's hard to you know what else, Rob, the narrative,
right we were coming back from last year.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Would would he stay healthy?

Speaker 6 (11:53):
Rob?

Speaker 1 (11:53):
He remember he didn't even have the contract. They didn't
pick up his fifth year option or you know, they
picked it up, but he doesn't have a long term deal,
and so all of that would work in his favor
as far as that MVP vote. So yeah, if he,
you know, continues to play like this, I mean he's
hands down the MVP front runner right now.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Because one of they want, they want their first two
games on the road. Remember that they beat the Chargers
in the opener, Chris.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
And they were good games. I mean they didn't they didn't.
Chargers were right there. That was a good game. That
was a good game exactly. And then to go the
home opener and then to destroy the Broncos. I mean
they off to a great start. You win your first.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Two road games, Chris, in the NFL, you know how
hard it is to win on the road.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
I mean that's a great start.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
And Rob, I mean, he's averaging three hundred and forty
one yards a game. His passer ratings almost won twenty two,
you know, eight touchdowns to bid. You know who's got
terrific numbers, the best numbers in the league. Get who's
what quarterbacks got the best numbers in the league. I
know Love has about how many touchdowns they have?

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Six?

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Uh, he's got Jordan Love. He doesn't have the best
numbers in the league.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Okay, I know he does. He have six, but he's
got a good I think he's got sick.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Let's see, he has Jordan Love seven seven touchdowns one
but the best numbers in the league rob almost across
the board. Kirk Cousins sixty nine point six percent completions,
leads the league in yards, three hundred and fifty eight
per game, nine touchdowns, that leads the league. Two interceptions

(13:39):
and a passer rating of one o eight, but they're
oh and three so.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Kind of crazy.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
I mean, it's not pad in stats, but they just
can't get a win. And so he has thrown two
big interceptions though that that were costly too. He does
have the best numbers just across the board, but obviously
not in the MVP.

Speaker 5 (13:59):
Race.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
At and three, we're gonna talk about another quarterback who
uh is playing hurt? Is it admirable or is it foolish?
That's next akable Christ and Rob Fox Sports Radio.

(15:31):
Joe Burrow and the Bengals played last night, got a
much needed victory, one that some think may have saved
their season nineteen to sixteen over the Saint Louis ram
I'm sorry Saint Louis Rams Los Angeles Rams.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Didn't cover the spread. Thanks Joe Burrow.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Thanks and I was We talked about it before Rob.
We didn't think he should be playing on the sore
calf because of the risk of further injury. I've changed
my tune on that because I spoke, and we'll have
him as a guest in the third hour.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
But doctor David Chow, I see.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
He was a longtime team physician in the NFL for
seventeen years, head team physician for the San Diego Chargers,
also worked with the Bears and another and two more teams.
But we were talking to day before I went on.
First things first, I wanted to get his opinion, and

(16:30):
he said that they're real that Burrow because my thought,
Rob was I don't care about him playing through pain.
That's it's football, That's what you do when you can.
But it was about I was worried about him risking
injury with the achilles tearing that, and he said that

(16:51):
he doesn't feel like he's at much more of a
significant risk to tear the achilles.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Well about Kevin Durant too well, he said he thinks
that Durant had a high achilles strain already.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Rather than the calf injury. And then with Aaron Rodgers,
he said he doesn't think that was related to the calf.
He thought that was more you know, he's basically a
forty year old quarterback and it was the way he
was tackled. So if I mean, you're always at some
risk playing football to get injured. But he said this

(17:28):
calf injury does not put in his view, Burrow at
more risk of tearing the achilles. So if that's the case,
then I'm fine with it. I'm not the one to
be like, don't play through any pain. Don't play through
you know, some soreness or whatever. So you know, he said. Also,

(17:50):
he said he's gonna be it's gonna bother him lead
well into October. But he said, if he doesn't reaggravate it,
then it actually will gradually get better as the season
goes on. So you know, we'll be able to talk
to him in the third hour. But if that's the case, Rob,
then hey, I'm fine with Joe Burrow playing and he

(18:11):
got him a whip.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Yeah, I mean until he gets hurt and then that
that'll be the argument.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
But I hear you.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
I mean, would I would look to the future and
to make sure this guy's right. You could just look
at the way he plays. He's not the same quarterback.
He can't move.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
I just that's the part.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
It's one thing to go out there and you're feeling
a little paying Chris, but you still can kind of
be like who you are. He's not that they can't
move the ball. They needed like eight fifty yard field goals.
They can't get into the red zone. I mean, this
is ugly. They don't have a touchdown in the first
half of any game this year.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
That's Joe Burrows.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Joe that I think some of that was rust, you know,
I mean, remember last year he was. He threw four
interceptions in the first game.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
Get that miss trade.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
But Chris no touchdowns in the first half and to
start the season in the first three games.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
I'm just saying himself.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
No, I don't think they win that game without him
last night?

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Do you?

Speaker 1 (19:13):
And again, he wasn't great.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
With the defense was great though last night.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
You gotta admit that the defense before that last drive
by the Rams, weren't they zero for ten on third down?

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Chris?

Speaker 1 (19:24):
I mean, that's how you win football. No, he's not
playing great. He only completed about fifty little like fifty
three percent I think of his passes. So it's not
that Joe Burrow. But I don't think they win that
game without him. And I think Rob he brings not
just playing ability, obviously that's that's primary, but I think

(19:47):
his he's a smart player, he makes smart decisions, he's
a confident player, he's a leader, and I think he
makes that team much more confident. And so it's it's
gonna be tough sledding.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
He's not. He's probably last night he was maybe fifty
five sixty percent of the player he is, So I
hear what you're saying.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
It's just scary from this standpoint, Chris. If he gets
hurt in game five or six, now you're eating into
next year. Maybe you know what I mean Like that.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
Well, if he gets seriously hurt.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Yeah, my thing is.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
I mean, that's the scary part.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
And I'm not he might not get hurt, and then
they'll be they took a risk and it worked out
for him. But you gotta you gotta make sure he's
as good as he could possibly be and not in
jeopardy of doing something that's gonna set the franchise back,
not only this year.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
But the start of next year. That's the that's the part.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Yeah, I mean, that's the most like and just for him,
you know, for the future of your franchise obviously, but
you never want to have a guy get injured seriously.
And like I said to me, Rob, that's the key.
Is he in further danger now again, he could go
he could get get hurt. You know, uh, it could
be related. Maybe it's not related to the injury, but

(21:05):
you still could get hurt. But if I'm you know,
if doctors, I'm sure the Bengals doctors gotta be telling
him this, right, If the risk for injury isn't, you know,
significantly worse.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
It's mainly the achilles one.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
I know, but that's what they told Kevin Durant. Well,
like I said, that's what they got and you.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
And I, Anthony Davis, was that ain't even comparable. No,
I'm just saying a growing injury.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
It was, no, But they told him he was okay
to play.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Couldn't he forced himself to try to play? He wanted
to play, Kevin Durant, I agree, I mean, but I'm
saying I talked to this doctor. We'll talk to him
in third hour. He's in any second opinion, No, but
this dude is not affiliated with any team anymore, and

(21:52):
so he's got no reason to lie about it. Now,
maybe he's wrong, maybe you know, but he certainly doesn't
have any reason to lie about it. So again, we'll
get a chance to talk to him in the third hour.
But if he you know, if he's all right to
go out there and not putting the Achilles at further risk,
I'm fine with it. Work your way through it. It's football,
all right. It's the odd couple. We got baseball Justice

(22:14):
coming up in a moment with David Justice, the two
time World Series Champion.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
But first, be sure to catch live editions of The
Odd Couple with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at
seven pm Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Come minutes in.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
That told you it's time for baseball justice on The.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Odd Couple, You're gonna get your feelings hurt Man.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
With former MLB slugger David Justice. You's Justice Court is
now in session.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
All right, David, Welcome brother Dave.

Speaker 8 (22:53):
Happy Tuesday, you too too.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Let's get it started, all right. Terry Francona set to
retire in about a week.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
He's had a lot of health issues lately.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, yeah. Unfortunately as a result, it's led to an
interesting debate on social media. Now, frank ConA, of course,
won two World Series with the Red Sox in the
two thousands, and three Manager of the Year awards with
the Guardians in twenty ten.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
So here's the debate.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Where was Frank ConA more impactful Boston or Cleveland?

Speaker 3 (23:28):
It's a layup day, right, Oh a slam dunk.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
I can't believe you even asked that question. Boston, for sure,
I got that two World Series champion.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
How's had a debate on social media.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Yeah, because they had won a World Series in about
ninety years.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
Right exactly.

Speaker 6 (23:45):
They hadn't won a World ser forever, and they were bitter. Oh,
they were so bitter. Where he was going when I
was a Yankee were going there, but Boston. All the
bitterness was just everything. But I was happy to see
him finally get it. But he gotta give it to
give the man for his leadership. Listen, man, we got.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
A bad connection.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
Yet, let Dave call right back, call him right back
his fore just in and out. We can't.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
We can't hear they want to rob get getting back
on the lock.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Of course I agree, Like tell you, winning that first
World Series in Boston, I get it. And the reason
that he's group Manager of the Year outside of Boston
is guys with good teams Chris normally don't win Manager
of the Year, So.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
That's that's kind of standard.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
It's always the guys who have less talent who win,
and they give them.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
They're pretty good. Yeah, oh wow, they made the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
But to win the World Series in Boston after going
eighties six years without one, I'm shocked.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
I'm sorry. Who on social media is saying Cleveland, I
mean really.

Speaker 9 (24:46):
Well, to answer your question exactly for what you said, Rob,
is because no one expected much out of Cleveland, find
that they got it.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
But it's not like Cleveland hadn't had any decent year
covering them in nine years.

Speaker 9 (24:59):
World, Boston has never been lacking talent. He's gonna get
over the hump, I think.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Right, yeah, but that's the hump.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Yeah, that's why he I mean, they give it to
him because Boston, like he'll always I mean, he would
have probably managed there his whole career had it not
been for that chicken and biscuit and beer scandal.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
You know that we got David back, Rob go ahead.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Yeah, Dave, just go ahead briefly because we just talked
about it about Boston.

Speaker 6 (25:25):
Oh yeah, I'm just talking about Frank ConA. You gotta
put Frankcona up there with the Losordas, with the Bobby Coxes, uh,
you know, with the Blue panelas, in my opinion, some
of the greatest interests to ever be a part of
this game. I mean, Frank Cota, he was a difference maker.
He went into Boston, very tough place to manage. You know,

(25:46):
a lot expected every year and for him to go
in there and get two championships. You got two, right,
I mean that's phenomenal. That's phenomenal, man. And then even
to go to Cleveland, great fan base and do what
he did there. So Francona. But the biggest impact that
has got.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
To be Boston.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
I mean, that's the question, no doubt about it. For
whatever reason, I have misplaced my questions here. Go ahead, Chris,
take this, bak. You don't have questions.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
I come off the top of the dome. Yeah, okay,
I don't have money, all right, David. So look if
the Giants they've won three World Series in the last
thirteen years, that's not bad, all right. They won one
hundred and seven games last year, and yet their ace
Logan Webb, says big changes are needed in San Francisco.

(26:34):
That's right to quote create a winning culture in your opinion, like,
what's gone wrong with the Giants and how do they
fix it?

Speaker 6 (26:43):
Well, a culture is a real thing, fellas. And I've
only played on one bad team where I felt like
the culture was all out of whack, and that was
the nineteen eighty nine Atlanta Braves team that when I
first came up for about three weeks. I saw a
culture that was all about losing. The guys were not
friends with each other and didn't doing anything with each other.

(27:06):
They expected to lose. There was no energy. But I
always say this Fellus culture starts at the top, at
the top the organization, and then down to the manager
and then down to the players. You look at the Yankees,
you know when Steinbrenner was there, there was an expectation
of excellence, okay, and it came right down into Joe

(27:27):
Tory and then right to the team. Look at Atlanta
Braves nineteen ninety. We go out and then we go
get John Schultz. He came from Kansas City, a winning mentality.
He instilled a whole different philosophy into these young players.
And then we bring Bobby Coxs back to the dugout
and one of the old school baseball minds, show up

(27:48):
on time and play hard. That's all you got to do.
And everyone was treated equally. And then also you got
to have some type of leadership within your players. When
you see a player make this comment, you know he's
been in conversation with all the guys on the team.
They don't like coming to the yard. The environment is
not a fun environment to play in, and that's what
he's speaking to. So now I got a question the manager,

(28:09):
because it's up to the manager to create that environment
in which the player wants to come and play and succeed.
That's where I'm going. That's where I'm going. I'm going
to the manager. You got to create that environment. If
he's not creating it, you can pick.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
Any one of those spots.

Speaker 6 (28:22):
Either change your GM changer, changer manager, but if you're
gonna if you're gonna change your culture, that's where it starts.

Speaker 5 (28:29):
Sellers.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
Okay, ay, Dave, we ran out of time. We got
one more question. Okay, here we go one more and
you got about a minute or so. And this, if
the playoffs would have started today, the Braves and the
Orioles would have the two top lines of the postseason bracket,
right obviously, So should those two teams be considered the
favorites to make the World Series? The Braves and the Oriols.

(28:50):
And if not those two, who would you have?

Speaker 6 (28:54):
You can't pick a favorite right now, Rob, And I'm
gonna tell you if the Braves got some issues in
that starting rotation, they got two guys that are on
the men right now. Listen, the hundred and sixty two
games establishes who all goes to the playoffs. But once
we get oh and oh. Once beginning those playoffs, everyone
can be beaten Robs. All of the teams can be
other It's gonna come down to the pitching, solid defense,

(29:18):
who gets the timely hitting. All of these teams are
very capable. Yeah, there's some teams that are strong. Atlanta
is strong, Baltimore looks great. Heck man, don't ever count
the Dodgers for three weeks, but for three weeks it's
gonna come down. Always comes down to which team is
playing their best baseball. Any one of these teams can
win it, all.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Right, I guess weeks of David Justice during the playoffs
in October, Dave, So we appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
Thank you, Dave. Have a good night, all right, Your

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Lis and teeth Reggie. I don't know whether to smile.
Let's you kick a field, go man?

Speaker 4 (30:55):
All right, here we go, Chris, Let's start with Brandon
and Phoenix. You're on the odd Couple Fox Sports Radio.
Who you trashing? Brandon?

Speaker 11 (31:02):
Hey, Robin, Chris?

Speaker 10 (31:03):
Hey, you guys doing great?

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Man?

Speaker 10 (31:04):
How are you good?

Speaker 5 (31:06):
Good? So?

Speaker 11 (31:08):
I'm a diehard Stealers fan. I can trash talk Matt
Canada and that clown offense all day long, just getting
frustrated every single day. But I'm gonna start with the
Denver Broncos. Oh my gosh, I'm sorry, but Sean Payton
was supposed to be the savior of this Denver Broncos team.
They went and traded everything to go make him my

(31:28):
head coach, and now he was getting mad that his
team's getting blown out by seventy. Yeah, obviously frustrating, but
I'm sorry, but you're in charge of the team and
getting all upset with the reporters to bringing up a fact.
So I'm just tired of the Denver Broncos just crying.
I'm tired of Sean Payton just making a big old
deal for the last fifteen years since he's been a
head coach, so they.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
Only fifty unbelievable. I know it seems like he's older
than that.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
Eric in Oregon, you're on the couple of Fox Sports
Radio who you're trashan.

Speaker 10 (32:02):
Rob Chris. I'm gonna add more trash to the Jets,
trash can I'm tired of hearing about the Jets quarterback
problem and then they go out and get Trevor Cinnamon roll.
I ain't gonna do nothing but get ate up like
a fresh pastry come out of Parker's mom's kitchen and

(32:22):
after last weekend, I think they can now call Bill
Belichick's daddy and Rob can I get a stick and stay.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Stick and stay America.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
That's right, no doubt, stick and stay Chris, that's what
we do. Let's go to Mason in Phoenix. You're on
the odd couple of Fox Sports. Wait, who you trash
and Mason?

Speaker 2 (32:51):
Good do for you?

Speaker 1 (32:52):
And gentlemen, how are you good afternoon?

Speaker 12 (32:55):
Bog A good lun time listener for some caller.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Appreciate you?

Speaker 12 (33:00):
Yeah, of course, thank you, gentlemen. Something struck a core
of me this weekend. I'm twenty five. Kirk Frentz has
been the head coach of Iowa my entire life, my
entire life, and I don't know where this team has
any sense of direction. I don't know where it's going.

(33:20):
We have nepotism at its finance. His son is an
offensive coordinator. He has no idea what he's doing. Absolute joke.
I hope Michigan State blows us out by fifty. I
do hope Michigan blows us out by fifty this week
because we need to get rid of this coach.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
I don't want to interrupt you, but real quick, Chris,
I think Am I wrong?

Speaker 3 (33:41):
Do they lose to Penn State?

Speaker 6 (33:43):
Right?

Speaker 5 (33:44):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (33:44):
And Chris they had four first downs in the game,
Penn State at thirty one four first That's crazy, that
is nuts, absolutely crazy.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
Ricky in Florida, you're in the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. Who you trashing? Ricky?

Speaker 5 (34:01):
What's up? Rob?

Speaker 6 (34:02):
Chris?

Speaker 5 (34:02):
Thanks for listening in. Man, my mom's going through that stuff,
and uh, you know, I'm her therapy, you guys in
my therapy. You we watched The.

Speaker 6 (34:13):
Young and the Restless, bold and beautiful and NFL.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
Football and Taylor's went and Kelsey this new this new
soap opera going on. I've got to say, Kelsey, what
do you doing? Did you see his mother with her
in the boots? You don't even want her up in there.
You're gonna eat some more Campbell, sup. Put some meat
on some bones of that or get them go with
some sickness. She does not belong in the NFL. Enough.

(34:36):
We just I want my football back. That's it, Thank you? Wow?

Speaker 4 (34:40):
There you go, right, keep the romance to yourself. How
much time we got?

Speaker 5 (34:45):
We got?

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Can we squeeze in one more?

Speaker 5 (34:46):
In?

Speaker 3 (34:48):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (34:49):
Do we have time for mass not Mace not cut
it in half.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
All right, Mace real quick in San Diego? Who you trashing? Mace?

Speaker 8 (34:57):
The Lost angel Its Chargers aka the Los Angeles Chokers.
I called them for what they really are. I farts
hate this team.

Speaker 5 (35:06):
I always want to.

Speaker 8 (35:06):
Die hard family. They played here in my city. How
over that oxygen stealer via Republic degenerate owners moved into
LA where there's no fan base. Every home game is
dominated by the visiting team. The Choker are so pathetic.
This team's m most constantly blowing wads and losing the
difference between the Chokers and a one dollar bill? Is
it a one dollar bill? Is actually work? Four quarters?

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Very nice?

Speaker 3 (35:26):
That was nice? Nice? We got Gary in Houston. You're
on the couple of Fox Sports Waity Wire. You trashing
Gary nick Wright?

Speaker 13 (35:34):
Where did he get the nurse the crisis the Jets
for hiring Anon Roger's friends, his old podcast about giving
his kids the opportunities they don't deserve, unqualified for and
fromody his life for it. It's son got a David

Nichol beat the loudest in product crying about Mary nick

Speaker 1 (35:53):
Wow, Wow, coming harder man.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
I didn't know as is Nick's son, the executive producer
of the show. First, he's first cruise. I hadn't know that.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
No, he didn't work on first days. First, he does
not work on first days. All right, we got to
hours left. We don't have any autism going. But if
you'll know what to do, keep it locked. It's the
couple Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
