(00:55):
Lamar Mitchell at the bottom of the hour to get
us ready for the NFL weekend, and then Rob and
I with our NFL pig skin pickoff to wrap up
the show and Rob we will stay right there in
the NFL A big game, not because the teams are good,
(01:15):
but actually because the teams are horrible. The Denver Broncos
oh and three against the Chicago Bears oh and three,
and Rob, they are both sitting on historically bad marks. Denver,
(01:35):
of course, just gave up seventy points and and honestly, we.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Know could have could have tied the record.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
For points allowed if Miami had just kicked that field
goal and they could have scored seventy three.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
They were being nice exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
And Chicago has lost its last thirteen games.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
So both of these teams are horrible.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Knowing how how bad these teams are, Rob, they might
end up in a tie.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
It is pretty bad. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
But anyway, here's where I want to go.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
Now.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
There is a lot of talk, and that's been a
lot of talk that Sean Peyton will ultimately use Russell
Wilson as his scapegoat. Right, we've heard him talk about
Russ has to stop kissing babies and being a politician
and all of that stuff. Right, And The Athletic did
(02:35):
a story recently after their three start and an anonymous
NFL executive went this far, Rob, Here's what he said.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
I believe Russell Wilson will.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Have to play phenomenal to avoid getting benched the way
Sean Payton has talked about Wilson. I would look for
it after the Kansas City game when they have attend break,
So going into their bye, the best move for them
could be to look at the draft.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
But here's the thing. Peyton could not stomach people thinking.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
He is bad.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
If he were to tank, everyone would have to know,
just like after the Washington game. So if he's basically saying,
if you bench Russ is like you're saying we're tanking,
We're moving on from Russ whatever, Here's what I would say, Rob,
and first in fairness, Diana Russini, reported for NFL does
good job for ESPN covering the NFL. She has said
(03:35):
reportedly just earlier this week, I think that the relationship
between Peyton.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
And Russell Wilson is going well.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
So he's not playing playing like he played last year.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Well, that's where I was gonna go.
Speaker 6 (03:47):
Rob.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Russell Wilson is top ten in yards per game, passing yards,
top ten in yards per attempt, one of only seven
quarterbacks to throw six or more touchdowns this season, He's
only got two interceptions. He's top ten in passer rating,
(04:08):
which is passer rating is the exact same as Patrick
Mahomes ninety nine point five. So you're right, Russell Wilson
has not been the problem.
Speaker 7 (04:16):
Now.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Their offense definitely needs to score more points, and you
can attribute some of that to Russ, but he's played fine,
He's played much, but he hasn't been spectacular.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
He hasn't been.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Absolutely And wait, here's what I want to throw at you, Rob,
with what we've seen with the zero to three start,
the seventy points, the decline of the Denver Broncos defense
from top ten the past two years to dead last
(04:51):
right now. And if you want to say, what was
the seventy points that made, well, did they gave up seventy?
They deserve to be last. But even if you take
that out, they were bottle ten. So Rob, with all
of that happening, and that's not even to mention Sean
Payton rubbing people the wrong way with what he said
about that hacket, right and all of that right, we
(05:13):
may be past the point of Sean Payton being able
to escape go Russell Wilson. Sean has been so bad himself,
and Russe has been solid that do you think he
can now? Russ, you know, plummets and goes back to
what he was doing last year, that's one thing. But
(05:34):
assuming he continues to play pretty well, do you are
you with me that? Like, Yo, it ain't no scapegoating
Russell Wilson because you've been worse than Russell Wilson.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
I agree. I don't even know how that could even
be in the conversation at this point. For real, Russell
Wilson would have to play awful against the Bears. Chris
with three picks, you know, a pick six so well,
you know, like something of that ilk where it's just
disgusting when you look at it and go, man, this
guy he can't play like I know, one game and
he's played pretty well so far. But I mean I
(06:07):
would need something like that to even have that conversation.
I don't think he's the reason that they're in the
situation that they're in. We get it last year he
was bad. He's not the reason when you come off
a seventy point game.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Look, the players obviously get some of that blame, but Ron, no, I.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Know, we're looking at the coach, but you have some, Chris,
because this is the only thing. If they if they
pitched the shutout in the first three games, we would say,
Sean Payne, look at what he's done. You would give
the coach credit, right, you would still give him credit,
So you can't. It's I get the players play, but
we do give coaches credit when things go right. So
(06:52):
coaches can get blamed when they don't go right because
they will get credit. If it's good Chris, they will.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Oh real, and he especially with got credit. Rob.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
There's no doubt when you give up seventy points whether
the players have quit or a him or not. They
certainly and I think it was Greg Jenny's They definitely
quit that game, right right, Greg was like, yeah, that
game seventy points in pro football?
Speaker 4 (07:19):
Christ to Saint Pop, warn, are you playing some school
where the kids are twice as big and you got
a small team, you know, or exact something like that
one against Division two or three or something like that.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
I mean, come on, So yeah, Sean Payton, I just
don't think Rob that he could get away right down
now again, like you said, if Wilson goes in the
tank and just as horrible game or two, right, But
I don't think.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
People would buy it.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
I really don't because as good as Sean Payton has been, right,
he's been a good coach, hasn't Russell been Wilson been
essentially that good of a player, right, I mean when
he left Seattle, he got.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
His super Bowl, just like Sean has.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
He's been to another super Bowl, and he was viewed
before he left, or when he left Seattle as a
Hall of famer, they thought he didn't win a championship.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Christ with the defense at Russell Wilson, right, I mean yes.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
So, I mean you're talking about like, and I know
Russ people. Some people don't like him. They think he's corny,
they think he's phony all that. But a lot of people.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Feel the same things about Sean Payton.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
So my thing is, I think it, Yeah, before the season,
when we didn't know if Russ would play well, and
Sean had not had these gaffs and this lack of success,
he probably was in a position where he may have
been able to scape goat round.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
He was in a position, no doubt, because he's the
new hire Russ had was coming off the bad year
or you know what I mean, where a lot of
people soured on him, Chris. So, yeah, Sean Payton had
that in his back pocket. I don't think he has
it anymore.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
No, not right now. I mean, they better go on
a nice little tear for him to get that in
and for them to go into tear, though, Russell Wilson's
gonna have to play pretty well. And so yeah, I'm
with you. I just think he doesn't have that card
in his back pocket right now. He he he has
(09:28):
uh surrendered that card because he's been so bad, Rob,
how do you see this game? Look, I think Denver's
gonna win. I think Denver absolutely has to win.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
Rob.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
I think they win and win and win big. I
just agree because you have to bounce back from it
from the embarrassment. There's a lot of good football players
on that team. I'm sorry, and there they're what what
to be embarrassed in that nature in that fashion, Chris,
it's a redemption game. They gotta get there football program
(10:02):
right right and and the Bears are the general hospital
of the NFL because when you play them, you get well.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
No no doubt about that. And Rob, they gotta get
they have to be able to look in. I mean, look,
that seventy points is gonna be with them and.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
They'll they'll never forget that that they gave up seventy
points in a freaking NFL game. But for the rest
of this year, They've gotta get to a point. And
I'm maybe I'm overstated. I don't wanna, I don't want to,
you know, overstate, but I'm gonna say what I'm gonna say.
They gotta get to a point rob where they can
(10:39):
look themselves in the mirror again. Figure I'm saying that
somewhat figures. No, you know, I'm saying, you gotta feel
if this is what you do, you gotta feel like
at the bottom of the barrel that you gave up
seventy points in a game, so you have to go
(11:01):
out there and spank.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
The Chicago Bears, robbing you. I think I've told you.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
My wife and I are watching The Wire and we're
in this season four. We just finished it. And there's
this one kid who's out on the block, out on
the corner, selling drugs, but he really ain't about that life.
His mom kind of pushed him out there, and his
dad was a soldier like that.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
And you know, he rolled up on the little kid
who was who.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Had done him wrong, and the little kid back talked.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
To him and he didn't do nothing about it.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
And his friend saw it and all that, and so
the next day he went and in front of his
friend that saw him back down to this little kid.
He started loud talking somebody he knew he could beat, right,
and he did it obviously to you know, to make
himself feel better in front of his boy. And that's
(11:55):
what the that's what the Broncos need to do. They
need to win rob out thirty five to thirty seven
to seven or.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Something like that.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
No, I get it. It's got to be a beatdown
where you re establish, yep, that we're a good team.
We have a good coach, we have a good quarterback,
and our defense is better, even.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
If only to yourself, right, other teams might still look
at you funny, but you to yourself, at least you
can say, you know, all right, we we that was
a bad day.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
We put that behind us.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Because rob after the Bears they win that game, they're
won and three and I'm not.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Look, I don't think they're gonna make the playoffs.
Speaker 8 (12:33):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
I don't remember. I don't think you picked them either.
If if I'm not the Bears.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
No, the Broncos, Yeah I didn't, Okay, but after the
Bears they got the Jets. That should be a second victory.
So if they can go two and three. Now, they
got the Chiefs after that two out of the next.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
Three weeks after that.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Actually, so it's it could you know those are gonna
be and then they got the Bills.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
They got some tough sledding.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Ahead of them. But here's the thing. If you don't
beat the Bears, my god, like, look at where you are.
That's what I'm saying. Right absolutely, your season can be
you could be annihilated.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
So I I'm with you. They're gonna beat up on
the Bears. And you wonder at some point, I mean,
what are the Bears gonna do? I mean, I guess
you don't have to change justin fields right now, because
at some point, Rob, they're gonna say, you know what
we want Caleb.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
That's what they're gonna say.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
No, I mean, if they can, if they if it
gets to that point, why wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
You Right, they're gonna say that.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
And I think they can still trade justin fields because
I think somebody will feel like, Okay, you're not gonna
get a ton for him.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
But you know he's he's athletic, he can run.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Obviously, we we don't like the way Chicago was using him.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
You know, kind of like Trey Lance, right he went
to Dallas.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
I mean, I think somebody will you'll be able to
get something, a pick or something for just the field.
So yeah, I think Chicago's this Sunday might be the
determiner for them.
Speaker 6 (14:05):
That.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Okay, all one to next season. All right, It's The
Eye Couple Chrismon Robb eight seven seven ninety nine on
Fox eight seven seven nine nine, six sixty three sixty nine.
You're turn away and we think, you know, everybody's talking about, Oh,
Sean Payton's gonna escape, Go, go, Russell Wilson, Rob, and
I think at least for now that that ship is sailed,
(14:28):
that he is in no position to escape go anybody,
especially Russell Wilson.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Who's been playing you know fairly well. Your thoughts.
Speaker 1 (14:37):

think twice if he thinks he can escape gold Russell
Wilson at least right now, what are your thoughts? Has
that ship sailed? Has Sean been worse than Russ?
Speaker 4 (15:37):
Your thoughts? All right, let's go to Coach g and Augusta.
You're in the odd couple Fox Sports Radio. What's up,
Coach g Ain't nothing much?
Speaker 5 (15:46):
Guys looking forward to the weekend like you are. Yeah. First, Rob,
you're doing your thing. Man, you're doing your thing.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
Rob, appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (15:54):
Rob, you're doing your thing. You're keeping this thing real.
Everybody not doing what's good. I don't want to root
against him. I want them to do good. Just if
you can't. You're not a superstar team. Just play fundamental football,
Slow the game down, run about but What you're doing
is good, Rob, because you're keeping it real. I haven't
heard nobody else what Chris do. But besides y'all station
(16:17):
do that. Everybody was well again when he starts losing
and you come the victimhood, right, you know.
Speaker 4 (16:22):
You can't have it both ways and nobody Chris and
I we both love what Dianna is doing. I mean
we've been when he went to Jackson State, Chris, we
loved it, right, we did. But but that doesn't mean
that that you know, like, no matter what happens, the
world's against them or what they want to beat them.
Your USC, your Oregon Oregon at won twenty six out
(16:44):
of twenty seven at home, you think they wanted to loose.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
You have been talking to men, right, we found but
you have right?
Speaker 5 (16:54):
Can I come in on the quarterback? You here's the
deal man. Listen. He's been showing up at these interviews.
You've seen him. You know, we got this five hundred
dollars Gucci glass whatever they are. He's got the ice
on the neck, ice on the rist, and supposedly just
bought the Brandon layback. Let me ask you all a question.
I'm twenty one years old. I got a fresh mayback
(17:15):
with lampskied, Well, she wait, you think I'm thinking about
some old duck. I'm gonna think about that dinner reservation
at ten o'clock after the game.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
Come on, guys, well I'll say this.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
We gotta remember this is not a kid that grew
up poor and now he's, you know, getting his nil
money and he's just going crazy.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
He grew up rich.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Let's just keep we gonna understand that he grew up
rich because of his dad, and so I don't know,
maybe it's a problem, but I don't you know, I'm
not gonna automatically say that because he's grown up with
definer things in life his whole life.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
That's what he knows. So I'm not gonna hold that
against him.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
All right, Coach, g appreciate you. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Remember Rob, Remember when Dion did say something to that
effect when he was at Jack and State when they
first came out with the n IL money and.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
He was like, are these kids gonna keep working? Remember that?
I remember that. Yeah, so you know, you.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
Could always go back and get those quotes. Chris right
said stuff back in it. He was very outspoken against
the kids. You know, do they need this money to
get wait till you get the NFL for it. No,
not the way now, when the now, when the colleges
were cashing in, we were in line saying we all
wit it. Why not Chris coaches getting million dollar sneaker deals.
(18:34):
They don't even wear the sneaker, Rob, I.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Still think this colleges are getting off easy paying. No,
it's it's it's corporations. Yeah, they're boosters and stuff like that,
but still the university, right exactly.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
So, Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
I know I sent you earlier, Chris, the team that
needs to bounce back the most this year this week,
this week, and we talked about Denver right coming off
of that right, but we also talked about what we
needed you mention Da Dallas and who was the other
Taltimore and Baltimore. If Baltimore lost to the Colts, Dallas
(19:09):
got embarrassed by Arizona, which one because because I'm actually
gonna do a paul A Chris with all three of
those games, because I think all three of those teams
got like gotta win, like a looking to bounce back
in a big way after losing disappointing games.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
I think, well, okay, the two I would say absolutely
obviously Denver, we just talked about them.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
They gotta win if they want to have any semblance
of a season, right Dallas.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Rob Guess who Dallas plays next week, San Francisco.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
Yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
So you don't want to put yourself in position to
lose three straight. So I do think they have to
come out and win. They they know they gave a
Yeah Iland, Look, I don't think New England's very good.
I don't think either one of us picked them to
make the playoffs. But you not just gonna disrespect England,
you know what I mean? Like they gonna give you
a tough game, come up with something up defensively, and
(20:08):
you know they can run the football.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
It's gonna be tough. But I think Dallas does win.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
But Baltimore, I think of the three, Rob is the
least desperate.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
Now they they lost a game they should have won.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
I felt like, I don't know how closely you watch
that game, but when they were in overtime, it was
a few times where it seemed like they felt like, Okay,
we got it, you know what I mean, Like we're
in field goal range, we got it, and next thing,
you know, it's fourth down and they're not there.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
You know, it seemed like they relaxed a.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Little bit to me at a few instances in the same.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
Yeah, yeah, that's that's a good team.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
Cleveland's legit. I mean, I'm not saying they're great, but
that's gonna be a good game. So if they lose
to Cleveland.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
I don't think it's as bad as if Denver or
Dallas lose this weekend. Uh So, I would say, for
sure different Dallas and yeah, to a lesser degree, Baltimore.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
The one thing that's surprising to me, Chris and I
haven't really looked all the way I know, uh uh
to Sean is is questionable, right, is questionable. I'm sure
he'll play. But for Cleveland to be only a one
point right, aren't they one point favorites?
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Are they just there one point favorite?
Speaker 4 (21:27):
Yes, yeah, one point favorite.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
But Chris, and they're at home, right, But.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
Normally three points for the home team, you know, like
that's normally it would be minus three.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
But don't you think people feel like Baltimore is better?
Speaker 6 (21:37):
No?
Speaker 4 (21:38):
I know, but that's what I'm saying, like a mug,
I know, but that but it says something. Do you
know what I mean? It should be three they're coming
Cleveland's been coming off a couple impressive wins. They've only allowed.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
That means that Shawn might not.
Speaker 4 (21:51):
I don't know, like it just sounds like weird, like
I got to take Baltimore plus One's just what I
feel like it, know, Like, I just feel like, because
why would they only why would they only be a
one point game with with Baltimore banged up on the road.
I get it's the division rival. Cleveland's giving up one
(22:13):
one offensive touchdown. Best game, they've been giving up one
offensive touchdown, Christal, I mean maybe two, but not that
many more than two. Uh, and it might just be one.
I think it's one I read. But I'm just saying,
like when you look at when you look at all
those things, they should be a three point favorite at
home at minimum.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, yeah, that's that's I don't know it's alright, but anyway, Uh,
we got Lamar Mitchell where we'll get with him and
ask him some of these questions.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
I've been hot. I've been hot on the pigskin picture,
Steve see they said I was for one last week.
Speaker 9 (22:51):
Congratulations, thank you. We'll get to the playoff chase games.
At the moment, I must mention the Yankee game tonight.
Speaker 4 (22:57):
Oh what happened?
Speaker 9 (22:58):
We all know the Yankees have, let's put it mildly,
have not had a good year. No, if they lose
the three this weekend to finish the regular season, they'll
be finishing eighty one and eighty one. The good news
is they're at Kansas City this weekend, a team that's
lost one hundred and five games. The starter tonight for
the Yankees was the overpriced Carlos Rodin, not having a
good year with the new Yankee contract, and he's coming
(23:20):
off two great seasons this year. No first inning at
KC tonight. He gives up six hits in the first inning,
including a homer and two walks.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Did not get it out.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
Did not get it out.
Speaker 9 (23:33):
Kansas City was up nine to nothing in the first inning.
It's now ten three royals in the bottom of the fourth.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (23:41):
This nearly tied the record according to the Great Baseball
researcher Sarah Leggs. In the expansion era so that goes
back sixty plus years, only one other team has scored
more runs before and out was recorded in the first inning.
That was Boston got ten before their first batter came
up with an out of this twenty years ago. So
the Yankees are down and down big. Meanwhile, good news
(24:05):
for the Marlins as they fight for a wild guard
in the NL. They've scored four runs in the top
of the eighth and now top of the ninth they
lead for to three.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
At Pittsburgh, there were down three nothing. What a comeback.
Speaker 9 (24:17):
That is a comeback because as we mentioned earlier in
the show, this is the team that had the late
night at the Mets game last night that was suspended
by rain in the top of the ninth inning. As
for the cost pitching to Coolby, what was that? Everybody
who was pitching for the Pirates. Literally they've used eight
or nine pitchers in this game. The Chicago Cubs are
getting shut out. It's three nothing at Milwaukee going to
(24:40):
the six. Blue Jays lead eleven to four over the
Rays in the top of the eighth inning. Philadelphia at
the Mets rained out. They'll have a doubleheader tomorrow about
to start. Houston at Arizona Diamondbacks. Magic number to clinch
a playoff spot is one. As for Houston, they do
have the tiebreaker advantage over Texas if it comes to that.
For the moment, the Rangers are the first place team
(25:02):
in the AL.
Speaker 4 (25:03):
At Lee by two with three to play, right.
Speaker 9 (25:05):
Two games over Houston correct, and three over Seattle with
three to play. Seattle is hosting Texas in a half
an hour. The late game at ten fifteen Eastern time,
San Francisco hosts the Dodgers. The Giants fired manager Gabe
Kapler today. Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is still in concussion protocol.
He was limited in practice again. The Raiders are at
(25:26):
the Chargers Sunday. Chargers running back Austin Eckler, with his
bad ankle, is doubtful, as his safety Derwin James with
a hamstring injury. And there's college football on FS one
right now. Top twenty matchup. Oregon State leads late first
quarter against Utah seven. Nothing elsewhere. Early in the fourth,
Louisville has tied ten ten at NC State.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
Back to you, all right, thank you, I have a
great weekend, Stan, thank you.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
All right.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
It's the odd couple, Chris and rob our Next guest.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
He's the man.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
I don't need to say too much, but I will,
all right, football fans, be sure to tune into Fox
Sports Radio every Saturday and Sunday morning three hours before kickoff.
But countdown the Kickoff, presented by bet MGM. They'll have
you covered right before all of the Saturday and Sunday
games all the way through Super Bowl Sunday. You can
(26:19):
listen to countdown the kickoff week end mornings right here
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app. And that,
of course, is brought to you by bet MGM. And
this man runs bet MGM. He's the director of trading there.
He is our man, Lamar Mitchell.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
What up?
Speaker 7 (26:40):
What's you guys doing tonight?
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Doing great?
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Man?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
We are great. Let's get right to it. It's a
big weekend of football and the game of the week.
Rob and I talked about this earlier. We're both excited
about the Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
At the against the Bills.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Buffalo's won their last two games by combining sixty two points.
Miami's won it's last two baccombine fifty seven. All right,
every now, of course, fifty of that was this Denver.
But everyone is expecting a shootout. So what kind of
action are you seeing on the total in this game?
Speaker 3 (27:16):
That's got to be really interesting.
Speaker 7 (27:19):
You know, I think you asked about that game because
that is definitely the highlight game of the weekend. Well,
we're looking at right now on this game here, we're
looking at fifty three and a half. There's been no
sharp play on this, so that.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Leads fifty three and a half.
Speaker 7 (27:34):
Yeah, let me, uh, fifty three and a half is
the number, and we don't see any sharp player here,
which leads us to believe we have the right number
on this game here. And it looks like, you know,
solid action both ways, but the over, the fans are
really actually pick the one in favor of the over.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
It might be a good one to take under on that,
you know what I mean, you're expecting that at big
numbers or whatever, I'm.
Speaker 8 (28:02):
Gonna take big money.
Speaker 7 (28:04):
The big money on this is coming in on the under,
but big transaction activity. It's is six to one on
the over.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Yeah, no doubt. Hey, here we go. Lamar mac Jones
is own eleven against the spread in his last eleven
starts as an underdog. This week, the Patriots are six
and a half point road dogs in Dallas. Have to
imagine that the betters are pounding the Cowboys in this spot.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
Right here, no believe it, believe it or not.
Speaker 7 (28:30):
I mean, the sharp betters are on the Patriots plus
the points right now even.
Speaker 8 (28:36):
But you know, this is Dallas, so we expect to
see a.
Speaker 7 (28:39):
Lot of people come in on the cows later on Sunday.
But that number right now, it is pretty juicy at
six and a half, So the public it took be
one of those games where you normally would expect Dallas
to get most of the action on it, but we
might see the Patriots fans with that plus six and
(29:00):
a half saved make it an even ticket count.
Speaker 8 (29:02):
Game, all right.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
The Jags making their annual trek over to London.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
They got the Falcons now used.
Speaker 4 (29:08):
To have four games over there at one time, but.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Jacksonville's currently going off as a three point favorite across
the pond.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
Here's a two part question for you, Lamar.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
When you have a neutral site game like this, is
it more or less difficult to set the line?
Speaker 3 (29:26):
And what's the action like on this game?
Speaker 1 (29:29):
Because obviously Jacksonville hasn't really looked that great.
Speaker 7 (29:33):
Well, don't tell that to the Jacksonville Jaguars fans, but
literally start on both sides of this game. When we
open up. They took the minus three, and they took
the plus three. They took the minus three minus one
oh five. Literally, ticket count on this game is four
to one in favor of the Jags. And when it
comes to Jacksonville, we typically know what we're gonna get
(29:54):
when they play across the pond. Usually, unless you're like
a big underdog, we know that most of the public
is going to bet on Jacksonville in this situation here,
and that's what it still looks like here. We even
have a large six figure bet on Jacksonville minus at three.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
I believe that, no doubt, I'm gonna bet Jags minus three.
They need to win, and they do. They desperately need
to win. That team was moving forward, But all right,
here we go the game. Nobody wants to see the Bears,
wait to see the Bears, and only three Bears ow
in three Broncos. Denver's currently off is a three and
a half point road favorite, which but they are nine
(30:31):
and one against the spreading their last ten games. How
much action are you seeing on this one? And the
Bears have lost thirteen in a row of Bakers dozen't
and they stink to the high heavens what we got.
Speaker 7 (30:43):
Well, you know, this is a game I want to see.
I want to see what these quarterbacks are going to
do here. But the starters are on the Bears.
Speaker 8 (30:49):
Plus a three and a half ticket.
Speaker 7 (30:51):
Activity right now is about two to one in favor
of the Broncos. We pick up a small win right
now on the.
Speaker 8 (30:58):
Bears, So that leads me to believe that, you know,
we're gonna see a.
Speaker 7 (31:02):
Little more activity coming on the Bears since it is
two winless teams coming up this weekend. Sharps are on
the total both over and under, and the Sharps actually
did lay the money line on the Broncos. So sharp's
are you know, mixed signal here? You know they're taking
the Broncos on the money line, but they're taking the
Bears on the point spread.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
The last thing from us Lamar, Lamar, Lamar Jackson. He's
eleven one and one against the spread, nine and four
out right as an underdog. This week, Baltimore is a
one point road dog in Cleveland against the Browns. Now,
knowing what we know about Lamar, knowing that Deshaun Watson
is dealing with a shoulder issue, I gotta imagine the
(31:46):
betters are all over the Ravens right, believe it or.
Speaker 7 (31:50):
Not, they're not.
Speaker 8 (31:51):
I mean last week head last.
Speaker 7 (31:53):
Week with the Ravens that they were so banged up,
and the betters were on the Ravens side last week,
this week, right now, with Deshaun being banged up, and
it's so early, we still have a you know, two
more days before game time, betters are on the Browns
in a take two to one count. The Sharps on
both sides. They're taking the plus points.
Speaker 8 (32:13):
Uh, and they're they're laying the point.
Speaker 7 (32:14):
So they're both sides. But right now, you know, vtr
looks like he might be starting for them. But the
betty public isn't on the Ravens because of this.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
All right, let's go Raiders travel to LA for a
home game against the Chargers. We know that it's gonna
be a lot of black and silver, we know, uh,
but the but the Charges seem to be holding a
firm five and a half point favorites. Uh in this game?
Is that what the Sharps are holding the line? I
knowah Vegas is a public team, but they've been disappointing
this year.
Speaker 7 (32:45):
Oh yeah, absolutely, the Sharps are actually taking the five
and a half on the Raiders. They really, yeah, they're
taking the five and a half. This is a This
is a Joe's versus Pros game because the Sharps are
on the Raiders, but the Joe's are on the Chargers
that are three to one ticket down. They're also bettingsto
under in this game here the sharpsar so we'll see
(33:07):
what happens here. But definitely Joe's versus Pros in this
game here.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
All right, Lamar Mitchell, great stuff as always, brother, Uh
going to be a fun weekend and have a great.
Speaker 3 (33:17):

Speaker 8 (33:19):

That's right, everybody, it is pigskin pickoff. Where Chris and
Rob are going at it with each other on this one.
But let's go with week three before we go into
week four. Chris, you went three and two into week
three and Rob Parker you went four and one last week.
My goodness, that means I went four and one two
of the three first.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
Weeks, right, two of the first that would be correct.
You went for one week one? Wow? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (35:31):
So the rolling the percentage right now, Chris is eight
and seven, so he's fifty three percent and Rob you
were ten five sixty six, Mike six?
Speaker 4 (35:40):
Did I knew? Did I knew?
Speaker 3 (35:43):
What did rop say about the Dolphins hot start? It's
too early?
Speaker 4 (35:48):
Let's wait, no, no, not this, not on this I'm
hot baby. Well let's keep the hot street going wrong?
Speaker 3 (35:56):
We got five I was.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
Wrong before I did say it.
Speaker 6 (36:00):
All right, Well, we got five games going on this week,
and the first game we got is the Dolphins at
the Bills, and it is negative two point five for
the for this for right now, for this game, what
we taking Rob, Chris.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
I'll go first on this one. I'm going with the Dolphins.
I think the Dolphins they're rolling, and I think they're
gonna to us so quick with his release that I
think that's gonna.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
Null five Buffalo's passers.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
Remember Jordan Poyers out as well, and Micah Hyes dealing
with a little bit of a.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
Bum ham string. So I got Miami on this one.
Speaker 4 (36:36):
This is this is in Buffalo, and if I remember correctly,
this will be three of the first four games from
Miami on the road. They're not gonna win their first
three road games. They're gonna lose. I'm gonna take Buffalo
minus three, Chris, just from the road?
Speaker 7 (36:50):
Is it?
Speaker 3 (36:50):
Minus is minus two and a half.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
And a half soon a half. I got minus three
earlier today I did bet this all right.
Speaker 6 (36:57):
Number two game, we have the Bronco at the Bears,
and the current one right now is minus three and
a half.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
Rob Parker, what about you. I'm taking the Broncos all
day minus two and a half. They have to redeem themselves.
I know it's in Chicago. I got the Broncos winning
by two touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Yeah, I got the Broncos too. They gotta win big,
and I think they will. Chicago's reeling and they think,
yeah they're bad. And look Denver. I think Denver's better
than their record. I mean they're oh and three. But yeah,
I think they're gonna put it on the Bears. All right,
all right, we got you both on that one. Now
we got the Ravens at the Browns and guys, it's
(37:36):
really really close. It's only minus one straight up on that.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
Well.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Look, we talked about this one, and we talked to
Lamar about it. I'm surprised, Rob that more people weren't
on Baltimore, especially with Deshaun Watson right dealing with the
shoulder injury. But that might mean, you know, people are
expecting some things from his backup. But I'm gonna go
with Baltimore. Like you said, they you know, they coming
off a bad loss. You know, this division is so tough.
(38:01):
In the conference itself is so tough, Rob, you can't
be given away game. No, they gave away a loss
to the Indianapolis Coast. So I think Baltimore wins me too.
I'm reading through the t leaves minus won at home, Chris.
With their record and how they've played, they should be
three point favors. It makes no sense to me. Why
why wouldn't they be three point favorites. They're giving up
(38:22):
one offensive touchdown this year. I'm going with the Ravens
plus one.
Speaker 6 (38:27):
All right, guys, Well, next one, we have the Patriots
at the Cowboys, and the Cowboys are heavily favored with
minus six point five with Dallas being home.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
Chris, let's go at you first.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
You know what.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
Look, I think the Cowboys win the game, but I
think it's close. I mean, the Patriots played Philadelphia close,
they played the Dolphins fairly close. I'm going with the
Patriots and a loss, but i'll take them with the points.
Speaker 4 (38:54):
I'm gonna take the Cowboys. Six and a half is fine.
If it was more than that seven seven and a
half maybe not. I think they can win by a
touchdown at home. They need to play better. They were
just out of sync from the very start of the game,
from moment number one. So I'm gonna take the Cowboys
minus six and a half.
Speaker 6 (39:11):
All right, final game we have, we haven't even more
of a big one. We have the Chiefs at the Jets,
and the Chiefs are negative or minus eight point five
on the game.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Rob Parker, you take it away. I'm taking the Chiefs.
I don't like anything about the Jets. I'm sorry, Patrick
Mahomes and them. I know they haven't been lighting up
the Scoreboy, can they beat the Jets in Jersey by
ten points? Chris? I think they can. I got the
Chiefs and minus eight and a half.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Yeah, I got the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
I know they haven't been great at covering the spread,
but come on, the Jets got nothing.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
They aren't gonna be able to score.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
The Chiefs defense has been playing great, and I know,
you know, look, it's a good gonna be a good
test for their offense in Kansas City because the Jets
got a decent defense.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
But she's gonna put it on them. I've no doubt
about that.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
So there it is, and we're we got two differences.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
So this is when I make my move.
Speaker 4 (40:07):
This is when I'm further channing, said one of my
sixty six percent, Man, I should be living in Vegas.
You close, yes, Oh man, that's the one that sent
me out six Man.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
What did he slide you a ten dollars million under
the studio door?
Speaker 4 (40:24):
Oh he might have tried on my news kicks under
the out.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
Have a good weekend, y'all.
Speaker 4 (40:29):
Pos
