of your new album coming up injust a second. But we wanted to
sort of on the backside, weshow you a belated have your birthday.
I think you had a birthday celebrationrecently. How was that? I did?
Thank you? It was funny.It was actually the day that Hurricane
Hillary hit. So I had planned, I did, I had outdoor plans.

I was I had taken a bunchof friends to Palm Springs and then
that was going to be the eyeof the storm. So I was like,
Okay, we got to get outof here. So we left and
we ended up just like hunkering downin my house and staying there for the
weekend. And we went outside andplayed in the rain and it was cute.
But like, of all the thingsto think about and pre plan in

the Southland, a hurricane is noton the list of things you want to
think in the summer. No,right, no, not at all.
Demi Levado is with us and Revampedis out on Friday. Let me just
play, can I? Can Iplay a couple of clips here of some
songs from Demi. This is like, so this is sorry not sorry a
little bit, and this is froma Revamped and the speed in which our

heads moved turned up a little bitabout Yes, So tell us about the
concept in this album. Well,I actually so. When I released my
last album, Holy, which Ican't say the full title. When I
released the last album, I wasgoing on tour and I was like,
how am I gonna mold, youknow, my older songs to match with

the new material, which is allrock, And so I decided to kind
of turn them into rock versions ofthe songs, and that ended up turning
into an album, which is revamped, and yeah, that's kind of how
it came about. I was justlike that sounded so good on tour.
I wanted to record the other versionsfor my fans, and they loved them

so much, so I decided tomake the album. So let's do another
one here before forself. But that'soriginal now revamped? Now which version do
you like better? Demi? Ilove the rock versions, rock versions,

right, it's fun to turn thoseup. So all right, this is
out on a Friday, and you'regonna perform the VMA's what can we expect.
I'm gonna be doing a medley ofmy songs like some of the songs
on the revamped album, So I'mdoing heart attacks, sorry not sorry,
and cool for the summer and basicallyjust rocking out with my band. I

mean, that's a highlight to beable to do that, obviously, have
another album coming out, and thenbe on Mass Singer on Sunday. What
was I mean, that's a moment. Those costumes look uncomfortable, are they?
It wasn't bad. It was fine, Yeah, it wasn't bad.
I thought I was gonna get costrophobic, but I actually was fine, and
so just take it through the processof getting in there and then having to

pull off what you have to doon that show. So they have like
a fitting before you get there,and they kind of build the costume on
you while they're making the head andat least for me, like it wasn't
like a full body suit, butyou know, they kind of built the
costume like on you and the fittingsaying like, oh, we'll add this

here, we'll add that here.Anyways, you show up to set and
they have you like covered completely covered, so you if you leave your trailer
you have to wear like a hoodieface shield and try to cover yourself as
much as possible. And not justme, it's my whole team, so
that if an audience conversees like mymakeup artists, they won't you know,

yes, exactly can you talk?Are They also say like, don't say
anything, don't speak because people recognizeyour speaking voice. No, they didn't
say that. But yeah, Ijust got there. I sound checked and
rehearsed a little bit, and thenand then I did the show. I'm
