I have been extremely well. Honestly, it's been nice to
be off the road. Finally, it took four years to
finish up this particular tour.

But it was a great four years. Obviously because of COVID,
everybody kind of had to put a pause button on.

But it's been.

It's been a great tour.

I mean, two hundred and seventeen shows, forty four countries,
three point five million people, dang, you know, and then
celebrating our thirtieth anniversary in the middle of all that.

So it's pretty remarkable.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
I bet it is, man, And now you're taking a
next level this next year Backstreets back at the beach
in all inclusive concert vacation, I should say, in can
kun where'd that idea come from?
Speaker 3 (00:56):
So back in the day, we did a bunch of
these like Battery Boy Cruise, similar type of events where
we'd go on a cruise from about four to five
days with about three thousand fans and we would do
multiple shows.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
We do games, we would do theme nights, deck parties,
and we kind of just kind.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Of came to this point where it's like, yeah, you know,
we don't really want to be on a boat in
the middle of the ocean anymore. We kind of want
to just make it more of a destination thing, and
so we decided to kind of take the same concept
and keep us on the ground, on land. And so we're, yeah,
we're gonna post up from April eighteenth to the twenty

first in Cancun.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Our boy Jason Derulo is going to be there as
well with us.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Which is fantastic.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah, yeah, man, it's it's it's gonna be it's gonna
be the best vacation ever for all of us.

That sounds like a fun little residency right there a
little bit. And for one of the shows, you're gonna
playing songs that were selected by fans or these songs
that you don't perform off in Love.

You know, I'm sure it's gonna be kind of a
mishmash of stuff that we do for, you know, doing
our current shows.

I do know that there's one song.

That we we personally strongly dislike.

we hate it.

gonna have to work that one up when we go
into rehearsal.

But yeah, man, if this is kind of a cool
opportunity for you know, to kind of see what our
fans true like deep cuts.

Yeah, and you know, I would assume that the majority
is going to be hits singles, but there's gonna be
I mean, out of thirty songs, who knows, you know,
there's gonna be some deep cuts in there for sure.

Moon Palace Resort, Yes, And we also have these like
so on the boats, we did these individual events that
we would do that was kind of specific to each member.

This time, Howie's doing a tequila tasting.

I will not be a part of anything with the
with with any alcohol for me personally.

Nick's doing a volleyball tournament.

I'm doing a karaoke thing but with a twist, and
that one's going to be fun.

I'm gonna keep that on the d L. But mine
is going to be interesting.

Kevin's doing a DJ set and Brian is doing kind
of a variety show. So you know, there is literally
something for everyone to do all day, every day from
the eighteenth to the twenty first.

And I saw on TikTok you ranked the best backshot
voice songs and put I Want It that Way at
the top. What makes that song number one for you?

You know? I mean, well, it's been our biggest record
to date.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
You know, it's just one of those songs that has literally,
i mean, look a lot fortunately for us, a lot
of our singles have stood the test of time and
they've become timeless. But I Want It that Way is
just that one that I mean, everybody knows that song.
I mean, we've been in certain environments where let's say

it's a very urban crowd. The minute you start saying,
tell me why everybody sings It doesn't matter the demographic,
the age, sure, the race, the gender. It doesn't matter.
Everybody knows and loves that record, and it's such a blessing,
So that's gotta be number one.

I agree, man, I agree. You've been You've been playing
some golf lately.

I have, actually, Yeah, I was just in Arizona for
about ten weeks a lot in there. Right after we
got off of this final leg of the tour, I
went away to do a little personal me time, doing
some soul searching, doing some really good inner work on myself.

I've never had the time to do it.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
And I took the I took advantage of being off
now and every weekend.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
I was on a different golf course.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
One hundred and fourteen degrees.

I mean I did play in one twenty.

That hurt.

I mean it's a dry heat, you know, it's weird.

And then I took I took a trip to the
East Coast, played in DJ College's first ever charity tournament
for that we the best foundation. Now that that was
that was miserable heat because of the humidity.

I changed my shirt three times in the golf yeah,
