Speaker 1 (00:00):
On with Maez.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Morow.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Courtney Lopez joined me now on Zoom for the Real
Housewives of Miami Alexei and Mari Sool Pat and welcome
to the show, ladies.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
How are you great? Good? Thank you for having us.
How much fun? Another podcast with husband and wife. I
like it.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
It's fun. It is fun. We don't kill each other.
We actually get along pretty well for the most part.
She only comes in a couple days a week, so
it works out a nice healthy balance. Courtney, congratulations on
your podcast. I love the title. What what made you
want to do the show?

Speaker 4 (00:38):
Uh? Well, Alexi and I spend an enormous amount of
time on the phone talking about.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Handle for free, and I was like, let's make some
money and do this. People want to hear.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
What we have to say, obviously, I mean that's the
word on the street.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
That's great And just so people know what the translation is,
oh please, And.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
If you watch house sives in Miami, they say it
a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
I'm sure they do.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Yeah, right here, we do. Yeah. It's like I mean,
it is like, don't ship a bullshit or so. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
What's the with the basic premise? Sorry, what's the basic premise?
What do you ladies usually talk about on the show, Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
The show, you know a little bit about ourselves and
current events like pop culture whatever whatever. Talks do a
lot of the Spanish.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
You know, we're very in Miami, so we you know,
we incorporate a lot of like the Spanish words, and
we go back from like English and Spanish.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I mean sometimes, I don't know, We've only.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Done one so I'm not sure whether I spoke too
much Spanish or you know, not even English.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I'm not sure. But that's how we really speak. It's
kind of like freest No, I get it.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
That's how we speak over here too, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
And you got in trouble for that on the Ultimate
Girls strip when you guys were talking in Spanish.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
But why who got who got mad at because somebody
thought you were talking about in their back or something.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
Yes, exactly pretty much while right, but I made it
clear that if I had something to say, it would
be like in their face, not like behind their back.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
You know, It's just like that we talked. It was
just like fun talk. It wasn't really talking about any.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
You were just observing that are what was going on
around us. And one of the girls thought we were
talking about her, and she didn't like it.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
But yeah, no, I know, because sometimes that's just how
you talk. And I'm with my cousins and stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
That's just how you talk.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
And then people may think you're talking about them, but
you know, what are you gonna do change the way
you talk? That's the way you talk, exactly.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
Let's talk.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Housewives Season five wrapped up earlier this spring. Do y'all
stay in touch between seasons or you don't see each
other until you possibly film again, or how's that work
me and Alexia or just in general the ladies?

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Oh, well, she and I talk every day all the time, regardless.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
But I don't know. I mean, I don't I don't
talk with all of them all the time.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
But sometimes you just don't need to talk to your
friends all the time. You know, they're just you pick
break back up where you were the last time.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Have you spoken with Adriana?

Speaker 5 (03:05):
I have not. I have anywhere, Yeah, I have any
other we haven't spoken to Adriana. You know, some of
us are friendlier with you know, and since Courtney wantses
to show Courtney and you know, we you know, in
New York, you know, we ended up not in such
a great place. It's kind of like we wanted some
kind of resolution, and I least in my case, I

(03:26):
thought I was getting there.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
But then after New York.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
You know, some of the ladies decided to go on
across tour and kind of like, you know, bash me
and my family.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
And you know, continue to you know, to hurt me.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
So I'm just like, not, you know, in a good
spot with some of the ladies, like right now, you know,
just because of that, because it's kind of like you
want to move forward and and you know what does
it stop? You know, like they just go a little
bit too far.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
You were also part of The Ultimate Girls Trip, uh
season three? How was How was shooting that compared to
the flag Ship Show? How was that experience? In general?

Speaker 4 (04:02):
I found a bunch easier friends, you know, because you
everybody kind of wants to be friends and they're excited.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
To meet each other. So there's that part.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
But then there's also the girls draw a lot of
conflict from their shows into this show, but we weren't
really a part of it because you know, you know,
that was their own personal stories from their show, So
I don't know, it was a lot easier than doing
our own I think, you know, you know, one hundred percent,
because it's a different the concept is very different, and
I think it's.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Super cool that you know, all these ladies, you know,
from different cities. You know, we all kind of have
we do the same thing, you know, kind of like
for a living, so we we have that bond in
that sisterhood, and you know, we get to go on
like a beautiful trade.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
You know, with just kind of like friends.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
But then again, when you put all these women with
different personalities, you know, in a group together, you know,
at some point, you know, somebody's gonna snap and then
like that's what you get. But overall, it was like
a lot of fun. It's a lot of fun. It's
a really like cool experience.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
I'm sure you watch all the other franchises, correct, because
that's actually no, really, really, Mario, you don't understand.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
I can't even listen to it, Like I don't know
what the journey. I watch Marshall and I get so anxious.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
I get so anxious, like I just can't like im
because I know what it's like, right, because I'm part
of this, you know, So I just can't do it.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
I just can't do it I watch my show.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Oh wow, Because I was going to ask outside of
Miami if if you had a favorite franchise that you
like to watch, But since you don't watch it, I
guess that doesn't apply.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
What Marsal does?

Speaker 2 (05:34):
I mean?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
I mean when New York was on, I always watched
New York because I'm friends with a lot of the girls.
And then I enjoyed Beverly Hills, and before we went
on the trip, I did try to catch, you know,
the last season of Potomac and Salt Lake City Soda.
I would understand, you know, who has kids, what are
their kids' names, who's married, who's not married?

Speaker 3 (05:52):
He's going to google it?

Speaker 4 (05:54):
All right?

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Well, a home of research before I went as well,
But I just couldn't sit there.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
I just can't sit through it. And then my husband
doesn't like it.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
So when is it that I watch TV like at
night when you have your downtime, Like he can't deal
with it either, so he's like, no, So I just
don't watch period.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Well, there's so many franchises, it's hard. There's not enough
time to keep up with all of them. So definitely
get that. It's a big favorites court me I love Miami.
I've watched you guys from the beginning. Beverly Hills, oh

(06:31):
C and Jersey those are those are my tops. The
other ones, you know, if I I just don't have
time with three kids, it's just like right now, I'm
in the middle of the Ultimate Girls Trip. If I'm
like blow drying my hair, I'll put it on in
the background because I want to know too if I
have to interview people and you know what's going on.
But yeah, I have to say, those are my favorites,

(06:51):
but I will take time to watch.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
You might tell five B.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Yeah the TV and they're like, are you watching the
house once? So Mother's Day is coming up, Alexia, do
you have any special plans for Mother's Day?

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Yeah, well I always say the Mother's Day is every
day of the year, you know, which is true, and
I'm sure you can relate to that.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
And that's kind of like my parents taught me.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
You know, my parents are both keeping mom and dad
and you know, it was like in the Other Little Quality,
the o Little Monday is every day because you know,
I get it. Commercially, we recognize one day and we
do take the time out for that day. So that
day I usually don't like to do anything at all
because you know, I'm so tired, so I just want
the kids to be here with me. We go down
to the beach, we order food, and they kind of

(07:41):
just like came for me and I relax, you know,
because the other night, you know, we go out to
dinner all the time. You know, we're like a close
knit family and I really enjoy being around. You know,
my kids, even though they're men, are ready, but I
feel like I never have enough.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Time with them. And that's what I want to do
on my Mother's Day.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah, that sounds like a really good plan right there. Well,
congratulations again on the podcast. You can listen to on
iHeart Radio. That's my new favorite title, by the way,
now or wherever you get your pods, Alexia might so
thanks for hanging out her drink You.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Don't have a Do you have a drink?

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Okay? Of course you done.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
Now.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
I don't want to drink too much for the press.
But now we're going to be doing our sound throw back.
She doesn't know it's almost four o'clock here.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
So I like your style. I like your style. Okay,
has to watch our show.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Keep it reporting me.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
I don't like the guys to watch our show, because
I mean, I get it.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Why the women do it?

Speaker 5 (08:46):
The women's like so you can see this crazier women
out there than none of us.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
Right.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
But let me tell you, I'm like your husband.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I just got to when he walks in and I'm
watching it, he stops and he sits there.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Well, because they look like they're about to throw bombs.
They look like they're about to get a fight, So
I want to see if there's a fight or something,
you know what I mean. Everybody was like on edge
about the throw bombs.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
We fight. We definitely fight differently from the men. We
actually have to learn like from you guys.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Right. The guys, I feel like, are so much cooler,
except for Jersey of course, to have a different kind
of show between the guys.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
But I wanted to tell you Mary, I don't know
if you remember.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
You were the cover of my magazine many years ago,
Venue Magazine.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Oh yeah, Dancing with the Stars on Dancing.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
With the Star, Yeah yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
You have one.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
And then we did it at the Lincoln Road in
the Colony Theater in the Colony thing.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
I remember, I remember doing it.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Wow, that was a long time ago. Yeah, oh that was.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
A long time.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
I like those pictures of yours, and thank you. You
have a beautiful family. I'm still a fan of watching
you guys together.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Congratulations on our success.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Thank you, that's very nice. Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Watch Latinos and Dancing with the Stars. I go here
for you. Then we did the cover. I was so
excited for you. Thank you, thank you, thank you you
so much.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Almost I like you.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
