Speaker 1 (00:00):
Real fun with Mario Lopez's.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Up on Mario Lopez joining mew on Zoom from Stars
on Mars actor Christopher mintz Plas, Welcome to the show,
my man.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
How are you nice to see you? Dude? I'm doing well.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
How are you nice to see you too? Did you
just finish a jam session?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
I did? Man, before every interview, I gotta go get
on the kit. I gotta sweat it out. I gotta
get amped. I gotta get pumped.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
That's what I'm talking about. You're getting me fired off
right there. I see that kit behind you. The show
looks like it's part Big Brother, part right stuff. What
got you interested in the show? Did you think you
were going like on a vacation and it would be fun,
but then they made you work?
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Heck no, dude, mab My team called me and they're like,
do you want to do reality? And I was like,
stop right there, not a chance. I'm terrified. And then
they said here's what they will pay, and I said
I could be persuaded. Yeah, man, it was cool. It
was like it felt like a new kind of spin
on a reality show you've seen before. You know, they
clearly were putting a lot of money into it. They
were getting a lot of really cool people involved, the
(00:58):
Lance Armstrong, Marshawn Lynch, and then if you looked at
the set, it was massive and beautiful, so you know,
they cared a lot about it, and there was a
escape room kind of aesthetic to it. You're going out
there and doing some missions. But I sucked at it,
I will tell you, man, I did not make it
very far, which is quite embarrassing.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
No, listen, I don't think we're getting to Mars anytime soon,
so you're gonna be all right. Who'd you get along
with best while you were there?
Speaker 1 (01:24):
I so when we flew out there, we had a
day off in Adelaide before we went to the set,
and I actually was staying in the same hotel as
Marshawn Lynch and Richard Sherman, and I saw them up
at the hotel bar. I got to hang with them
for a couple hours. I drank Hennessy for the first
time ever with Marshawn, and they were very, very cool
down the earth dudes. And I've been talking to Richard
Sherman a bit now, so I connected with those guys
(01:45):
for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yeah, they are very cool, dude, that's so funny. Man,
hanging out right there. You can't keep up drinking though.
I'm sure with those guys they probably know my dog.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
They were drinking every I mean like every night they could.
They were doing it, right. Who do you think is
going to be the last.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
The longest there?
Speaker 1 (02:00):
But it's all said and done. I mean, I definitely
think Rohnda. I think the athletes have the best chance
because they're physical specimens, you know. But when we were
doing the first mission, Porscha Williams from the Real Housewives
of Atlanta, Yeah, she was crushing it really so. Yeah,
she was pushing people out of the way. She had
like she had balls on her. Man, you know, she was.
She was crushing it. So she could be a wild
(02:20):
card for sure. Okay, we'll have to look out for that.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Let me ask you something. Is it true that you
weren't even supposed to audition for Super Bad originally?
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah? It was. I mean they went through a bunch
of like actual real actors, which I was not at
the time. I was still in high school and I
was a theater kid, but I had never gone at
any auditions. And then one of my friends heard about
this open call and he told me at like midnight
the night before, and so I had to like take
a photo on my phone send it in and then
I heard at eight am that they wanted to see me,
(02:50):
and I went in with two of my buddies and
the rest is history.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
That's awesome. That's like a Hollywood only in America kind
of story. That's great man.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah. Yeah, Grads.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
By the way, on your recent engagement.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Thanks dude. Yeah, a few months ago. It's very, very exciting,
the most adult thing I've ever done. It's terrifying. And
now we're planning the wedding and I'm regretting all of it.
It's tough. Dude. Are you Are you married?
Speaker 2 (03:13):
I'm just married now, ten years, three kids, So oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Man, the wedding planning was as stressful.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
I kind of let her just kind of quarterback everything.
You just got to surrender whatever you want, whatever you
want anyway, unless she starts getting out of control financially.
But you know, if she stays within budget, then just
it's easier just to kind of surrender. By the way,
that's just my advice to you in marriage.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Just surrendered whatever you want, whatever you wow. Set me
up for sex. Yeah, surrender, dude. You'll be happier that way.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Trust me, you'll be way, way happier. Are you going
to have a big wedding A small one?
Speaker 1 (03:45):
I mean we're thinking like one hundred and fifty one
hundred and seventy five people. You know, that's the size.
That's what it's like. A medium size, you know, up
in big Bear or something like that. Not too bad.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Are you going to jam at your own wedding? You
can get up there and bus.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
No no, no, no, no no no, that's that's too
much for me. I'll hire a band to come do
that for sure.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Are you still playing?
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Is it bass?
Speaker 2 (04:03):
You play bass?
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Right? Yeah? I play bass now. I played drums like
seven years ago and that band broke up. So I
play bass now in Color Vision, which is my band,
And then I play bass for my buddy Ben Queler,
who's a singer songwriter from Texas, and we're doing a
little tour in July, Texas, Denver, and Oka. See. So
if anyone's coming out, please come say hello.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Good for you man, right on, well, congratulations on everything.
