Welcome to shaw Man. How you doing a what's up? Mario?
Happy to be here, man, Good to see you. Nice
to see it too. That's a nice background you got
right there? Are you? Are you at your crib right now?
I'm actually in New York. Were all on the whole
book tour right now. So yeah's a hotel living. I

(00:23):
see you speaking of that book, Blessed Mode, Book of Devotions.
I like that, what what what inspired you to do this? Yeah? Man,
well look I wanted to help everybody because this book
is working on your mental health, your physical health, and
your spiritual health as well. And people are like, yo,
you need to do a memoir, and I was like, no,

(00:44):
I want to do a devotional because in my ups
and in my downtimes, God was there with me. And
what helped me a lot was working on reading devotionals
every day. It really charged me up for the day.
It was like a pre workout for my spiritual self.
And I was like, I want to share that with
others on how I got out of my rut and
how I changed my day around. Uh, and yeah, it's

(01:08):
just been a blessing and I decided to call it
blessed mode. I am all about that. I actually read, uh,
and I've been reading for the last I don't know
how many years, daily devotional books. I like it because
it's like one page for the day. Interesting you read
them in the morning. See, I read them a night
before I go to bed kind of you know what
I'm saying, like, meditate a little bit on and wake
up hopefully um implementing it. Uh. When did you find

(01:30):
your calling to become a youth pastor? Yeah? Man, so
I was speaking, uh, telling my testimony, my ups and downs,
my life. I would go to a lot of youth
groups and juvie homes and really speak and Uh. As
I was doing that and getting connected with God, God
was speaking to me through that. You know, there's a

(01:52):
lot of times where I felt like, man, I need
the inspiration, I need the motivation. But God was like,
you know, I want you to go motivate some others.
Why are you going the stuff that you're going through?
And what I found out is that that helped motivate
me as well. And so as I was being obedient
to him. It was different desires that started to happen
within my heart of me wanting to do more for

(02:13):
the Lord. And uh. One of those things that spoke
to me so clearly in my time of meditating was
speaking the gospel. And uh. Actually pastors and evangelists telling
me that as well over the years. But I was
just like, well, I'm gonna entertain the business, so I'm
not gonna do that at the same time, and He's like, no,
you need to do it, and so I was just like,
all right, I'm gonna do it, and I do it.

(02:36):
As well as being an entertainment, I worked in a
ministry for a very long time, so this is not
like a new thing. I was serving within my church
for years before I decided to be a pastor because
it wasn't like a thing where I was just like, yeah,
I want to do it. Uh, and I decided to do.
And I've been a youth pastor for about three years now.
And uh. But as far as working in within the church,
that's been over ten years. Yeah for you and refreshing

(02:59):
to here nice I'm still lacting of course as well.
It just did adventures in Christmas thing with my fields.
Would you say, uh, this is the biggest Christmas action
movies since die Hard. You know, kill is jumping out
of like helicopters in this. She's really getting down. Man.
It's like, okay, she's getting it in. It was so funny.

(03:22):
And you know, she directed a lot of the Kenny
Niquel's back in the day, so I got funny. Yeah.
So she was like, yeah, I want you to play
my little brother, and I'm like, oh, of course, this
will be easy. And we just we had so much
fun on this set. We laughed the whole entire time.
You know, v H one doing Christmas movies for the
first time, for the holiday, the whole week block, and uh,

(03:43):
it was just awesome. Glass with it. And you work
with my other girl, Tiffany Theson on Deliciousness. She ain't
even funny. I don't know how she got that. She
thinks she could cook and she ain't even funny. No,
I know, she hadn't even try all the time. So
you could, um, because I've known her before, you get
even watching great, So how how was she on the show?

(04:07):
And you guys having fun? I know you you're doing this,
Oh man, we're having so much fun on that show.
I mean we sit on the couch and laugh at
people doing food fails. It's like the easiest job, super fun. Uh.
Tiffany is great and hosting, she cracks up the whole time.
You know, we're laughing the entire time, so trying to
get it done. But yeah, it's been great. It's been great.

(04:28):
And uh also to work with her because you know,
I'm a fan of all of y'all. I told you
that too, so you know, I grew up watching Say
by the bill Man, so secretly I wanted to meet
all of y'all as a kid, And now I have.
I met everybody. Know, you know, your boys, So what's up?
Is it true there may be a revival of your
old sketch show all that. Yeah, we already did it

(04:50):
in two thousand nineteen. Uh we brought all that back
ken and I. Yeah, Keenan and I executive produced it
with the producers that produced us as we were kids.
And uh it was awesome. Man. The kids had a
great time. Now they're off doing other shows as well,
but it was great. And I got in the good
Burger suit as well because the writers were like, hey,
I know you're producing but would you like to get

(05:12):
back at some of the characters. Thank god I was
working out because you know, I do a lot of
physical comedies. So good for you, man, Good for you.
And he's been in the holidays this year of course
with the family, with the kids. Man, you know it's
gonna be awesome. We love to eat, you know what
I mean, So we're gonna be doing that. We got
to work out too, so we'll work out out the
wet and but yeah, just spending time with the kids

(05:34):
and uh, you know, talking about blessed mode. Blessed mode
it is. Congrats on that, uh and everything you got
going on kell pick up less moment wherever you buy books.
