Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're on with Mario a little bit. It's up your
Mario Lopez joining me out on zoom from Netflix is
never have I ever My Tree? Rama Krishna, Welcome to
the show. How are you, my Tree? I'm doing good.
How about yourself? I'm doing well. It's a beautiful name.
Um does it have any meaning significance to the name.
It's a Sanskrit name, which is a dead language. So
(00:23):
that's pretty cool. That is pretty cool. I like that exotically. Um,
I saw your picture on i G. You're dangling off
a skyscraper. Uh was that just for fun or shooting
a project? No, that was actually just for fun. It's
the sea in Tower in Toronto. Yeah, you can do
this little like edgewalk thing where you go to the
(00:44):
very top of the tower and then they like cook
you up to a harness and you can, you know,
lean back and like dangle off the edge. I like
your style. You're a thrill seeker. Normally I am a
huge adrenaline junkie. Wow. Wow, very cool. Uh well, new
episodes of My Little Pony, Make Your Mark have dropped
on Netflix. So what's the show all about? I Mean,
(01:05):
there's so many messages in my Little Pony, But to
say it in a very condensed way, it's definitely about
like friendship and embracing who you are and just an
overall feeling of togetherness. That's what I would say. Now.
My Little Pony came out back in the day when
I was a kid, and it's been resonating ever since.
What do you think it is about that property that's
resonating with you or still? I think, honestly, because it's
(01:29):
just so like it's so wholesome, it's so like just
feel good, and like who doesn't want to like feel good?
I think that those universal messages always hold true, you know,
and that's why it's like stood the test of time.
And the characters themselves are always so unique, and you
(01:49):
can see yourself in these little ponies, you know, whatever
personality it is that you identify with, it's really like
something for everyone when you're growing up, know, So I
think that's what it is that keeps it around. Nice well,
good for you. And season three recently dropped of never
have I ever um what kind of a response you've
been getting from fans, all the responses, it's insane, how
(02:13):
like the show has just gotten like bigger and bigger
and bigger, like it's exploding more and more and more. Um, Like,
the numbers are crazy, It's insane and all I love
all the different fan edits, and the fans aren't. It's
just there's so much and I'm just so appreciative of
it all. I like the the balance from my little
pony and never have I ever. That's that's diverse. I
(02:36):
like that. Good for you. Uh, there's apparently gonna be
one more season. Have you have you? Are you familiar
with the storyline and they keep it under wraps? Are
we gonna have closure? I will say that because we
knew it was our last season. We knew like, okay,
this is it, give it your all. So there are
definitely some conclusions, which is nice. Um, I do know
(02:58):
how it ends? Uh with it? I'm sure you can't
tell us, But are you happy with how it ends?
I am. I'm very happy with how it ends, and
I hope fans are too. I think personally, when it
was really hard doing season three press just because by
then I already knew what happened in season four and
we've already filmed season four, and it was so hard
to think about season three because Season four is just
(03:21):
like so much better in season three is the best
season out of the first three. Season four next level.
Oh yeah, it just comes to win. Okay, Okay, I
like that. Um. Also in the works new twist on
Pride and Prejudice called The Netherfield Girls. What can you
tell us about that? Not much that I can say.
(03:43):
They're that that was pretty locked and block and key.
I can't really say much there, um, but yeah, it's
it's it's exactly what you said it is. It's a
modern adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, modern adaptation. Okay, are
you are you? Can you tell me if you're like
naughty in it? Or you're bad girl? Are you the
nice girl? Um? I play the modern Elizabeth Bennett, which
(04:06):
is quite cool because she's an amazing character. And yeah,
she's a very intelligent young woman, very independent and just
a strong female character which we love to see great casting. Um,
what about school? Has has the work put that on
hold at the moment? Are you able to balance it
to or she tries? She tries to balance it? Um
(04:28):
balancing how well? Who knows? Um? But no, I do
try to, you know, conquer both. I'm a workaholic. I
like to stay busy. Good for you, Yeah, I try to,
you know, put both feet into both camps. Where are
you from Originally, I'm Canadian, from good old miss Sauga, Ontario, Canada,
(04:50):
born and raised. Okay, and is that still home? Are
you out here now? I go back and forth. Definitely,
I go back and forth. But to me, like Canada's
hope Canada. I like it. Our friends are friends of
the North. A lot of talent comes out of there. Well,
congratulations on everything you've got going on. My little Pony,
Make your Mark and Never Will I Ever are both
(05:10):
available right now on Netflix. Every thanks so much for
checking in. Thank you. Okay, nice speeding on with Mario
