Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's up. You're all Mario Lopez joining me now on Zoom,
Nat and Alex Wolf. Welcome to show how you guys doing.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Thanks for having me and having all.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Thanks for taking the time. New albums out now, Table
for two. Your first studio album together in more than
twelve years. Why the long hiatus, man.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
I'll stick a bite of food, so I'm gonna answer it.
By the way, my WiFi is really not very good
in Greece, but this is the only this is the
only pocket of what we have in.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
The whole whole You sound good. You're good.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yeah, you sound good man. Thanks? Uh yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Well, we put out a lot of music that was
you know, isolated singles, and we had kind of an
EP slash album a few years ago or in twenty sixteen,
so we kept making music consists, but this was the
first time we felt like we really need to get
in the studio and have these songs all together. They

(01:06):
felt like they all.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Were the first time we ever lived together, because we
were you know, and we lived together in high school,
growing up and stuff, but then we went off and
lived different places, and then during COVID lockdown, we both
were stuck in la together and uh, and it was
just this really nice time of writing music and playing
music for each other. And then we said, let's go
in the studio. Let's give ourselves eleven days and not

(01:29):
because we have a tendency to overthink and take too long,
and let's just like sort of do this album as
fast as we you know, as fast as we can.
And it's just the two of us. So Alex would
be running in to play the bass while I was
playing guitar part, and I'd be you know, and Alex
would be playing drums while I'm playing the piano, and
it was just really exciting and creative and like it
was one of my favorite.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Mario played a couple of parts. Mario Gill played a couple.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah. Well Mario was mainly on drums, but you also
playing piano, play the lute? Hey, moving in.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
ZOOKI way to use your time wisely there during COVID,
you all weren't baking. You were making music. That's nice.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
We were also baking.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
One of the one of the singles is if I'm
Gonna die? Uh, what's this about that? That sounds morbid?

Speaker 3 (02:19):
It is morbid, but I think it's funny too. It's
it's it's a total it's probably the poppiest song, the
happiest song we've ever made. But it happens to be
called if I'm Gonna Die and it's making Uh, it's
kind of thumbing our noses at at something that's scary
and dark.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
And you know, we've gone through.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
A lot of times where our dad was in the
hospital and I was in and out of the hospital
with this thing, and I think we wanted to do
a tongue in cheek funny and our interpretation of that
feeling nice?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
And what about live shows? Any plans to to tour.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Yeah, we're gonna tour on the fall. We're really excited.
We're going to tour in November Decemmer. We don't have
the dates yet, but but we're We just played a
show in New York and h At the end of it,
Alex and I looked at each other and said, this
is more fun than anything else.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
I keep doing this, I vet that's gonna be great.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Man.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Well, good luck when you when you all hit the
road out there.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
You better be there, and you better be on flute
and flout and lout.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I will be on point depending on the jam. You know,
I'll mix it up a little bit.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
You gotta be something loud, Yeah, you'll be on the lout.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
That's why that's my specialty right there, switching gears a
little bit. Nat, I know you recently had a new
show premiere on Amazon Prime, The Consultant with Christopher Waltz
Love him. It looked really cool for those not familiar,
what's the what's the series about?

Speaker 4 (03:42):
So it's about these employees in an office and this
boss moves in and he is sort of seems sort
of evil, and and then he ends up bringing out
you know, he ends up being kind of like a
catalyst for all these Gen Z millennials to grow up

(04:03):
and turn into adults. And uh, and he's also kind
of the devil. But at least that's my interpretation of it.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah, that's a wild premise. He's a great actor, too
good for you.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Yeah, he's such a great actor. And and we just
went to go see a movie. I won't say what
the movie is, but we were halfway he was excited
to see we're halfway through it. He goes, this is
the biggest piece of shit I've ever been forced to
watch in my entire life and we get the fuck
out of here.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
I like it. I'm gonna ask you where that is
when we come off there. I know that's funny. You're
also voicing Batman in a new Justice League cartoon.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
I showed up and I was like, doing this really interesting.
I thought, interesting Batman voice that I've been working on
for weeks. I told Alex, I'm like doing like I
kind of was doing Christian Bailey Batman voice. And uh,
then I got a call from my manager saying, yeah,
they're gonna fire you. You should just do it. I'm
just fire, but they you got to do just They

(05:02):
like your real voice, and I was like, I can't
do that. And then and then I.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Went on Batman.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Everyone Batman voice has that Batman thing on it. They
definitely Batman voice. Yeah, a little bit about.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
You can't help but slip into it. I get you.
And then, uh, and Alex, you've got some projects on
you're working on as well, starring in the new Christopher
Nolan film Oppenheimer, which is a hit in theaters next month.
That sounds very cool. What can we expect from that movie?

Speaker 1 (05:27):
I'm not sure. I haven't seen it.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Yet, but I hear it's I hear it's really good.
I'm definitely not starring in it, but but I'm in
it in a great time making it. He's amazing. Uh oh, disturbing.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
I lost so yeah, we just lost that last part again.
You were saying Christopher Nolan is amazing genius.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Way to keep the Christopher Nolan movie a secret?

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Yes, yes, yes, I have your Wi Fi.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
That was him that was saying he hacked into.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
The fucking clever.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
You're also in the New Place spoiler alert? Does an
atomic bomb?

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:07):
No, that much.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
I got the New Quiet Place prequel. You already filmed that, correct?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
I did?

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Yeah, I filmed it.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Is there anything you tell us about that or that one?
I'm I'm assuming you gotta be really hard.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
It's hard.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
I'm I'm in two movies that are sorry, is it
really yeah yet, now that I've been doing a lot
of interviews and that those two movies are like so
top secret, it's crazy. So they're they're really crazy about it.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
But it's it's quiet.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
There's a lot of silence then, and there's and there's
you know, monsters.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
But it's the director of this movie I did called Pig.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
With Nicholas Cage and and it's our second movie together
and he's one of my best, so I.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Don't have to memorize any lines.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Yeah for quietly, No, that's larious part.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
He sends me the script and I joke and said, oh,
I'll just be able to be quiet.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
But my role is all the talking. Everyone else's did it.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
In my Like, hey, I just wrote this scene. I'm
like Lupita doesn't say anything in that scene.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
That's not fair.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
No, but you're the only person I can do to
just say what's going on in the movie, and like.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Good for you, man, good for you guys. I respect
the hustle out there doing music.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
And you just got a Hollywood walker. You got, you
got on the Walk of Fame.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Yes, I did. Thank you. Congratulations, congratulations, thanks a lot,

Speaker 4 (07:39):

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Yeah, I figured I figured right there, but didn't.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I already knew that. I did my research.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
You did your research.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
I appreciate you. Are you good at jiu jitsu?

Speaker 2 (07:51):
