Speaker 1 (00:01):
The walmost standrous morning show, The Breakfast Club Club. They
put y'all together. Y'all are like a maga for us.
Y'all just took over every dollar. What's your podcast this,
Chris Brown, I've officially joined the Breakfast Club Say something, Mother,
I'm with it. WoT Dangrous morning Show, Freakflace Club Pies,

(00:32):
Good morning Usa, yo ya ya ya ya ya ya
yo yo yo yo yo. Yeah, I don't know. I
gotta wake up. Good Morning, good money. He's amby Charlomagne
the God uh Nutstokey. It's Thursday. Charlomagne's went a little lady.
He was in Chicago last night. Yeah, talking about men

(00:53):
to help. So I'm sure his flight got in a
little late, but he'll be here in a minute. Here's
been Divine Franklin, the Vine, Franklin and Ken'try get in Chicago.
Shout out to Tiana Taylor. I went to her nail
shop in Harlem, Junie b Nails, and got my nails done.
It's my first time getting my nails done yesterday. I
went there actually the day before yesterday, and yesterday I
was filming something with Revolte yesterday, so I was all

(01:16):
around Harlem, and I was there all like literally like
five six hours of filming. Then I had to host.
You know, Booboo got traded. You know, mont got traded.
I wouldn't it. That happened just yesterday, Yeah, yesterday. He's
leaving on Sacramento. He's actually, I would say it's a
better situation for him. Where's he going. He's going to
the Houston Rockets. Oh okay, that's fun. So it looks
like they will be in the playoffs and they probably

(01:39):
will be going far. So congratulate. I guess it's congratulations.
I don't know if he wanted to get traded, but
congratulations to man Champer. He'll be fine. I'm sure he'll
do great out there. He was injured, but he's doing
He's doing really really because Houston's a great place to be. Absolutely. Um. Yeah.
So then after that, Angie Thomas, she wrote the book
That Hate You Give, the New York Times bestselling novel
and they made it into a movie. I hosted her.

(02:00):
She's going on a book tour, so I launched it
with her in New York yesterday. She has a new
book out on the come up. I finished the book
hosted that it was an awesome experience. She's really, really great.
She's got to come up here on the Breakfast Club.
They're already making her new her new book on the
Come Up into a movie. They've announced that with Fox.
It's the same team she did To Hate You Give with,
So if you enjoyed that, you'll enjoy this book as well.

(02:22):
But it was great, Okay, all right, Well I didn't
do much of anything else, and I'm trying to think
what I did. You know, it was all about the kids.
Yesterday I went from piano lessons to basketball practice, to
football practice, to training to sleep. So it was it
was it was just a kid family day. Family day.
It wasn't even family. It's more like uber day. I
was just triving to kids all around, like I was trying.

(02:45):
I thought about charging them. They didn't tip me, definitely
didn't tip me. Let's get the show cracking this morning.
We're gonna be um. We have a guessterday, right right,
we have a guess you stop doing okay. Michael Bayer,
Mike Bayer will be joining us. He's a life coach.
He's been on Doctor Oz, He's been on a couple
of shows and fell as well. Yes, has approved this

(03:07):
and wrote, I think, did you write the forward in
this book? I believe so, Yes he did, yees, So
we'll kick it with him in a little bit. And
I did a life coach right now. Why I've just
been like, I felt like my life is so scattered.
I've been doing too many This year is great, but
it's also been extremely busy, right really quickly. And I
told you I launched my drink fresh juice dot com yesterday,

(03:27):
so I've been trying to focus on that. But I'm
going to LA today after work. It's just a lot.
You know what you need to work on, Actually, you
need to work on building a team around you. You
have to start letting go. I know that you're building
a team and letting it go. That sounds kind. You know,
you have to let go some of the responsibilities. Let
your team do it. I know you're so perfect and
you want things to be done right, so you do,

(03:48):
but you sometimes you just gotta let go a little.
But you have to distribute power and distribute you know
what I mean. I was trying to be a I
don't think you're qualified. All right, Well, let's get the show.
Two contradictory things you said you gotta let go. I'm
not a damn life coach. I tried. Okay, all right, well,
frontage news, what we're talking about. We are going to
talk about Gucci, Nowcci, no Gucci, the brands, all right,

(04:13):
they had to actually apologize because of social media. I'm
gonna tell you, I looked at this story and I
know the item that is in question, and I want
to see what you think about it. If they apologize
for charging too much for people for t shirts and
sweaters and no, because you ain't got to buy that,
that's expensive. Gucci's expensive. Gucci went out the window. Gucci
used to be kind of I would say, decent with priceing,
but now that through the windows. Let's expensive. Mention, Now

(04:37):
that's true. All right, Well, front page News, the next
breakfast club. Good morning pointing. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee,
Charlemagne the guy. We are the breakfast club. Let's getting
some front page news again. Shout out to Amman. Shumpit.
He was traded to the Rockets in the three team deal.
I think it's a better situation for him and I
think it helps South the Houston Rockets. So we'll see
what happens. What else are you talking about, you, Well,

(04:59):
let's talk about Mavericks. They traded Harrison Burns in the
middle of a game that was foul. Yes, he was
in the midst of the game against the Hornets, and
Lebron has actually commented he put on social media. So
let me guess this is cool because they had to
do what was best for the franchise, right, traded this
man while he was literally playing in the game and
had zero idea. I'm not knocking who traded him, because
it's a business and you have to do what you

(05:20):
feel what's best. But I just wanted this narrative to change,
to start to get real change, and not when a
player wants to be traded or leaves a franchise that
he's a selfish, ungrateful player. But when they trade you,
release wave cut at Tetter, it's best for them. I'm
okay with both, honestly, truly, am just call a spade
a spade. And he's right. If you're a basketball player
and you want to go to whatever team that you
want to, you should be able to without nobody having

(05:41):
a problem. This is what's best for you, because at
the end of the day, the team. The franchise is
going to do what's best for them. That man was
playing in a uniform and in halftime he realized ain't
on that team no more. That is foul. Wasn't there
a situation too with his agent, Rich Paul where he
got fined for publicly saying that Anthony Davis wanted to

(06:02):
be traded. I'm not sure. Yeah, I think that did
just happen, right, Yeah, so that did happen as well,
so I'm sure that was fresh on his mind too.
I think that I think the NBA sucks for it
because there's too many super teams. But I mean, yeah, see,
you play, you should be able to do it's best
for your family, all right. But yeah, what he's saying
is either way, you know, you shouldn't look at the
players as as being selfish or ungrateful. But the franchise

(06:24):
is cool for doing something like that. I agree, all right. Now.
Gucci has gotten some social media backlash after a sweater
they say resembles a black face because of the way
that it's designed. It's the Balaklava Jumper, and they've actually
taken it off their website. Gucci deeply apologizes for the
offense caused by the Woa balaklava jumper. We consider diversity

(06:45):
to be a fundamental value to be fully upheld, respected,
and at the forefront of every decision. We make full
statement below. I don't see it now. I'm gonna be honest,
I haven't seen it. It's a turtleneck. Yeah, it's so.
It's a turtleneck and it comes up and covers the
lower bottom half of your face. It's not even your
whole face. It's pretty dope to me. I mean, if
the right person pulls it off, she doesn't look nice
wearing it because she has glasses, just doesn't look good.
But if the right person wears it, I think it

(07:07):
would be dope. With turtleneck with a face mask and
a mask, that would be saying, you know, it's crazy.
That's been on the website forever, like it's been on
sale for probably over a year. I actually have the
sweatpants that's in the picture, well that's in that that
she's wearing that with, and I didn't really see it.
Is a is it black face? If you put on
a ski mask, a black ski mask, that consider black

(07:28):
people and I don't really think there should be considered
black face. People went too far with that. People are
going too far with things that are just just totally
left that. That has nothing to do with black face.
It's a black turtleneck that goes up to a mask,
like this is ridiculous. They took it off. They they're
not selling it anymore now. They took it off their website.
So I definitely don't believe that that was that, but
I'm glad the sweatpants are still available, all right. They

(07:50):
do have a law that they're proposing in Hawaii, and
let's see what you think about this. They'll black porn
sites unless users pay a twenty dollar fee, and that
fee would go to fund victims of sex trafficking. It
would be a one time fee. And they're saying that
they also want to make it harder for people to
access porn sights, including kids, so that they can make
prostitution hubs harder to access and that will reduce sex trafficking.

(08:10):
Those poorn have to do with sex trafficking. Watching porn
have to do with sex trafficking. I mean, I understand
if if you're trying to watch underage porn, but if
you're trying to watch regular porn for yourself. What's the
problem with it. You're gonna charge me twenty dollars for
it's a one time charge and that the money that
you give actually will go to fight human trafficking, So
that's what that money is being donated for. You can't
charge me to watch porn. You can. They can if

(08:32):
you want to watch porn Envy. They they're gonna charge
no, no no, no, a one time fee to access porn sights.
So it's a twenty dollars fee once and then you
can go look at all the porn you want, and
then you should be happy that money is actually going
to fight sex trafficking. But the good thing about it
too is that they said they don't want kids on
these sites, so a lot of times kids aren't going
to have access to a credit card. I agree with

(08:53):
that something to pay twenty dollars. You shouldn't have to
charge regular people if they want to watch a free
porn site. You're not many porns' very indignant and I'm
not doing it here in New York's in Hawaii, all right,
any right, all right, Well that's that's front page news.
But now if you go if you go to Hawaii
on vacation. Let's sen you buy you know you want
to rub one out. You can't watch You've got to
imagine pay twenty dollars and then that's foul. All right,

(09:18):
all right, get it off your chests. Eight hundred five
eight five one on five one. If you're upset, you
need to visit. You're mad that Hawaii. You might be
charging you twenty dollars for you to watch all the porn.
You wont call us up right now eight hundred five
eighty five one oh five one. It is to breakfast club.
Come morning, the breakfast club. Pick up the mother mother
phone and dial. This is your time to get it

(09:39):
off your chat nother. You're mad. We want to hear
from you on the breakfast club. Please better have the
same energy. Hello, who's this? All right? Good morning? This
is Neil. Hey Neil, come on and how you're doing?
Good morning, charl, I mean hey, good morning sir and Angela.
Get it off. Last year, um, basically I have a

(10:00):
holee for you, envy a challenge for me. He did
a dance challenge. No, it's not tap dancing like Angela.
We spoke last year about the running. Oh this is
the blind guy. Yes, Hi, how you doing that running again?
We did this two years ago. Um, I killing your group.

(10:21):
It's calling. It's called I'm stepping my shoes. So basically
he has to be blindfolded and somebody guides him like
bird Box exactly. But this is what we did this
way before bird Box. Nobody. You're not gonna get the
credit for that, Sir, Burdbox gonna get the credit for that.
I know, I know, I know, but I but he
said something to me last year. He didn't realize that.

(10:42):
I noticed when I listened back on the radio season that.
But I say, sir, here we go. You said basically that, oh,
nobody knows you, but you whispered it over. Yes, why
would you say I didn't say nobody knows you? Why
would I say that? What you say, oh he is
money knows you that who called backed and everything and

(11:02):
all that. But it's all good. But what you're saying
you want to smoke with Ivy. You want to see
Vy stop it, man, I want him to do this challenge.
Oh okay, let me be from Achilles then this challenge
before okay, who guide? Are you gonna guide me? No?
I'm not. Somebody else is gonna guide you other Achilles guys,
is gonna be guided here. I walk him right into traffic. Okay, thanks,

(11:27):
I would believe so too. Thanks. Yeah, but um, but definitely,
I have a lot of races to deal with, but
I would love to bring my team, would love to
run with them and with your group. I'm run with
ye in that race. Okay, good. I make sure I'll
let you know when it's happening. I think we're gonna
start again, most likely next month. You know they're having
a Brooklyn half marathon coming up to I'm thinking about

(11:49):
you want to get ready for that? Fine, up to
that already. When it gets warm, I'm gonna run with you.
But I can't do it when it's cold. But when
it gets a little warm up, I'll run with you.
Me and you run together. It's been cold. I know
understand that, but yo, one of my one of my
team members. And basically, it's all not all blind people
who some Achilles. It's all disabilities. Okay, I know you

(12:11):
blind and all that, but just car been born for
the past minutes and like you know, maybe you can't email.
I know this would be a better conversation off you
know what I'm saying, all right, we're gonna get it together.
I appreciate you, and I'm gonna let you know the
next time I'm running. I can't wait to meet you
in person. All right, no problem. Thanks for a loting everybody.
Thank you. I wanted to ask something so bad, but
I want to ask, but I never. You're gonna say

(12:33):
something crazy again under your breath. No I wasn't you
say nothing crazy? And they say nothing crazy? Hello? Who's this? Hey?
It is John? Hey? John? Good morning? How's going. How
are you doing? John? Hi? John? How's it going too bad?
How are you doing? Hi? We're good John? What's up? John?
I just want to say that whoever that politician is

(12:54):
in Hawaii trying to pass that law is absolutely insane everything.
What's the law that if you want to watch they're
gonna charge you twenty dollars to watch free ports, twenty
bucks to watch porn? What's wrong with that? It's free?
Not when they not when they thought charging for free.
I mean, it's supposed to be a free country. You're
supposed to be able to access information. I get it's porn,

(13:15):
it's a lot of Internet, it's a lot of things.
They're about to start charging for They about to start.
You've got some sites that's about to start charging for podcasts.
So all of this stuff that y'all are indulging in
for free, we're gonna see how much you really remember
poine used to cost money? Yes, the Hawaii, the state
of wh Why are you charging for it? Not just
the porn site? Is Hawaiians like none. But it's one
time fee of twenty dollars. Why have you watched? Poor John?

(13:35):
I get huh? What's the last time you watch? Before
you is watching right now? Free? A couple of days ago?
How are you doing? What did you watch? Pretty good?
What I watch? Yeah? I porn midget? Point? See you
know I paid for that. You'll pay twenty dollars for that.
I get the cause, you know, and it's a good cause.
But what's the next twenty dollars? Yeah? Us for what?

(13:58):
You should get your dollars? What for a lawyer? The
next time you get a speeding ticket? To fund some calls?
You do have to pay for a lawyer. Pay for
your Lawyerser, I tell you they're not called midget. They
called little people. It's called able to use the lawyer, John,
It's called little people. Porn, that midget point, I don't
know anyway, all right, we'll have a good day, John.
It's a tax right off. That twenty dollars is going
to help human trafficking. And I don't like that. I

(14:20):
don't like the term midget point. What do you like?
Petite porn? Petite? This didn't No, it's is it tiny? Small? Oh? Never? One? Anyway,
get it off your chests eight hundred five one five one.
If you need a work hit this up. Now is
the breakfast club? Good morning, the breakfast club? Wake up,
wake up? Wait your time to get it off your chest.

(14:46):
Whether you're man or black, we want to hear from
you on a breakfast club. Charlett Mayne, be nice, Nicole? Hey,
why are you upset? Nicole? Because I keep telling a
little way and I just wake up every morning and
I'm about it. I just want to lose weight. It's
so hard. Are you do you eat right? Do you
go to the gym? Are eating crazy? I do work out.

(15:07):
I just need to work on the eating parts working out.
I've got it down, the eating part of the biggest part. Yeah,
did anybody's talking about seventy percent of what's gonna make
you lose. It's so hard because that worked. They bringing
all the food and it's just so good. It smells
so good, and it's like, okay, what did you eat
last night? What did you eat last night? I went
out to Mexican food. I want to eat. It is

(15:30):
a It is a lot of restraints that you have
to practice. I'll say that. But you know, bringing you
bringing your own food, well, right now, I'm bringing my
left over from last night. I'm gonna tell you something.
You would stop eating so much if you know that
they was laughing at you. Is that they bringing that
food that work just to see how much you gonna eat. Really,
it's not true. That's not true. They bring it because
they just want us to buy their products and stuff.

(15:53):
That's all trying to camp us out. I got a
chemical plant. Okay, a chemical plant. Got a food they
served so good at the chemical fo Now it's the
contractors on the vendors who want us to use them,
so they're bringing you some samples. You know what you
should do bringing food sometimes if you put it out
there and let people know and just say it, look,
I'm eating better, so you know I can't eat these things. Whatever. Whatever.

(16:14):
Sometimes you have to put it out there so that
you feel like people you're accountable and other people are
watching you. It's like having an accountability partner. You're to say,
I can't eat these things. So when y'all bring that in,
just make sure I stay away from it so people
can be more. Hell, you know, when my office is
right there, all I gotta do is look over my
computer string and looking. They'd be like, I'm like, no,
I'm good. Yeah, but they know you fat. So if
you just tell them, if you say, okay, I'm not

(16:37):
like fat, she's trying to do better. Well, if you
say you want to lose weight, they're gonna look at
you like, okay, I'll understand. You know what I'm saying.
And then and then I'm gonna offer you food. Just
tell them you're trying to lose what you're dieting. Yeah,
I'm gonna try. I work and I didn't like getting
the plan together. I've been trying to execute it, so
am I planning. I've been trying to plan, but I
do work out almost every day. Don't matter if you're

(16:58):
not eating at eat than But I do know it's
not easy, and I'm glad that you're taking these steps.
So just make sure you stay too to yourself because
there's a change that you want to make. You got goals.
I got this. You've got this, Barrol, you got goals.
Extra fine. I'm looking at a salad on Instagram right now.
That would be good for you, really, I do level
to Sally. Yeah. This on DJ Dynamite thirty resting on

(17:20):
the side, girl, Thank you, Mama clue. Yes, good morning,
good morning, morning, good morning. What's up bro? So yeah,
so let's listen. Earlier I heard you made a comment
to Angela about, you know, delegating and sort of she
has a lot going on and how she should get
a support team. And I immediately thought about a book
that I read and Angela, it's a really good book.

(17:41):
And not saying that you don't know what you're doing.
I just wanted to recommend a book like TV Jake.
It's called Store. I have that book. I read that book.
So there you go. Yes, talked about that, but yeah,
it's been very instrumental. So all right, there you go.
I appreciate that, though I'm to go back and look
at it again. All right, show then what's going on? Man?

(18:04):
Happy birthday? Bro? Thank you? Bro, Hey, hey, hey, shout
then for me, good morning, isn't bad bitch? Birthday? Shout
then you already know. Draw one the clue box with
your boy. I'm telling you hey, real real quick. I
didn't want to tell you. Guys, I'll listen to you.
Got every morning a truck I'm a truck driver and

(18:28):
I'm in California right now that I can't wait to
get back to Georgia to turn up with my family
and my freedom. So hey, thank you guys. All right,
we can't wait for you to get home and turn up.
You have a good birthday, Bro, I already know. Thank
you again, guy, have a great all right, man, get
it off your chest. Eight hundred five eight five one
on five one. Shout out to anybody that's celebrating a
birthday this month. Man to Chris Rock. Today is Chris

(18:49):
Rock bone day. Drop on the clue box for Chris Rock.
And if you still got smoking, Chris Rock, what are
you trumb with me? Chris Rock? Get it that two
years ago? Okay, you wasn't here last time Chris Rock
was here. You wanted he wasn't here the first time.
Wasn't here the first time when I was the second time.
I was in the second time. Okay, Chris Rock cut
and everything. We're dropping on the club God born Dead.
Chout to Chris Rock all right, now, we got rumors

(19:11):
on the way. Yes, let's talk about twenty one, twenty
one Savage. We'll tell you about how jay Z is
now involved. Also, somehow twenty one Savage has sparked a
fight between Chris Brown and Offset, and we'll tell you
about that. All right, we'll get into that next. Keep it.
Lock this to Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club.
I don't bluff bro Aiming at your head them all right, boys,

(19:36):
to tell you what that means, aiming at your head
like a buffalo. Maybe he's shooting buffalo this Oregon Trail.
Remember Oregon Trail used to shoot at the buffalo. And
this has something to do with that. I don't know
if I remember the game Organ Trail with me? Now, Okay, no, no,
remember Organ Trails Tea, all right, No, I don't. Anyway, Well,
let's get to the rooms. Let's talk twenty one Savage.
It's about is the room report? Angela Yee on the

(20:03):
Breakfast Club? All right, Well, jay Z is coming to
twenty one Savage's defense. They've hired a legal team to
help out twenty one Savage. They actually hired attorney Alex
Sparrow to assist with his case. They're saying this is
a matter of injustice. Now. They're saying that twenty one
Savage actually had a uvisa permit penning for four years

(20:23):
before he reapplied for one in twenty seventeen, and that's
what may have led, they're saying, as they've been saying,
to a background check that discovered that his visa was
expired and that's what triggered his arrest. Thank God for Hole.
I tell people all the time, I want to be
the adult now that I needed as a kid. And
the fact that you have a brother from the Massy
Projects who used to be in the Screech Heavy evolved
to be the father in a husband that we see
today who cares not only about the injustice system and

(20:45):
the injustice that we faced, but also the coach of
hip hop and he got the money and resources to
fight these injustices. Dropping a clues Bons for whole damn it.
Absolutely Now, according to this update on TMZ, they're saying
that twenty one Savage's lawyer actually had applied for that
uvisa four years years ago, just after a judge vacated
his drug conviction and they felt that they were eligible

(21:05):
for legal status. That application was neither approved nor rejected.
It just we don't know nothing ever happened for it.
And then he reapplied again in twenty seventeen and it's
still pending. Listen, man, things happened to you so God
can work through you. Watch how God works through. Twenty one.
Twenty one is going to be a voice foot these
immigrants going through this situation the way Meek is for
prison reform. Watch mark my words. All right. In the meantime,

(21:28):
twenty one savages doing all kinds of daily chores and
minimal exercise while he's in ice custody. He treated like
every other detainee. He's got to do what everybody else
is doing. Not yet, I just got hit. He's lockdown
still twenty three hours, Yeah, twenty three hours. And they
said he's given one bar soap, a comb, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste,
and one container of skin lotion and a mattress, one blanket,

(21:49):
one pillow on a towel. So first of all, I
wouldn't have done nothing one as soon as I got there,
let me settle in first. Okay, I literally just got
it now. According to report from the Blast, he's allowed
to receive visitors Thursdays and Saturdays between one and four,
but they have to get obviously searched, and we don't
know what else is going on if his kids are
gonna be able to go and visit him. And he
gets three meals a day. So that's how things are there.

(22:12):
But on the outside right now, Chris Brown and Offset
somehow are fighting in it all has to do with
twenty one Savage. Now, Chris Brown posted a meme and
it's like a voiceover with twenty one Savage rapping, Well
not really twenty one Savage, but they're saying this is
who he really is. You got him out fourteen. So

(22:40):
it's a British sounding rapper doing a voiceover of twenty
one Savage. It's a meme. You know, people are making
all kinds of jokes. Well, Offset didn't like that joke
and he put memes ain't funny, lame, and Chris Brown responded, FU,
little boy, better worry about what you got going on
and focus on you all this cap on ig is
what's lame? Your energy won't like that. When I came
to the Drake Show in La. If you don't get

(23:00):
y'all hip hop a hibit of hibbit to the hip
hop and you don't stop rocking the face ass out
my comments, sensitive ass and where it called me personally
you want some clock when all you gotta do was
pull up, no camera, no flexing and all of that.
If you're a real man, fight me owing another thing
as my d Chris Brown sounds like he was cloud
chasing way more than all Set because All Sets comment

(23:21):
didn't even seem like it was in reference to Chris Brown.
He was just saying that he thinks that these memes
are lame. That's the way I took it. You know,
they had problems before with the whole Cruci thing before,
so they always had problems. So you jump into in
the man's comments to have problems. And he posted it
in his comments, it's gonna be it's gonna be a problem.
I thought he was just commenting on the video. I
didn't think he was actually talking to Chris Brown. Chris
Brown's comments, but I thought he was just referencing the video.

(23:41):
They really don't. I don't think they like each other
since the remember they were gonna fight outside of what
what award show that was or it was under in
the parking d Yeah it was a lot of artists,
a lot they've been not liked each other. Yeah, well
a lot of artists don't respect Chris Brown because they
think he's a drug addict. Because every time someone class
back and Chris Brown, it's about that Book of Sugar,
all right. They treat Chris the neighborhood crackhead. Well, we'll

(24:02):
see hopefully that two of them can one day resolve
these things. Offset then posted cokehead, don't want it. See
what I'm saying. Every time, every time it's a clapback,
it involved the Book of Sugar. Sugar, I've never heard
of that. You just made it up. No, that's the
old school term, sir oh Man. I didn't even get
a chance to get into the Fire festival and Job
Rule and what he has coming out, and my man

(24:23):
Drama got the fire Fire shirt on this morning, Job
Rules on his shirt with on his shirt with no
shirt on in the sense I saw that shot on Instagram,
but I didn't know if it was real or not. Well,
it's real, it's real. I want an Andy one that
says BJ King. We'll get you in there. We'll get
you one. We'll make you up a clue. We'll get
into that in the next hour so you can hear
what's going on. I'm angel Aye and that's your rumor report.
Everybody needs an Andy on the team. And if you're

(24:45):
listening to Charlemagne would love to meet you. Yes, and
we need you on the breakfast club. Okay, I think
that you know you could really spend this whole BJ
King thing. All right, superhead, great living off, it's down
to coming. He can't wait to meet you. Really. Listen,
all I'm saying the superhead made exact living being chentleman.
Have my water ready, my water ready? Andy? Not branding
this thing the right way, man. He needs to embrace

(25:05):
being the BJ King. All right, all right, it's not
every day somebody gets labeled to BJ King Male all women?
All right, Well, front page news and next we'll be
talking about you. Well, since you were in here when
oh no, what's Charlomagne here when we talked about why
you're so mad? No, he wasn't. All right, we're gonna
tell you what story made Envy extremely upset this morning.
Extremely stop talking about the page rage level. Okay, but

(25:26):
it was a little upsetting, but we'll talk about it
when we come back. It's a breakfast club, go morning,
So breakfast Club, your mornings will never be the same.
You don't need to know to have an adult snow day.
Had to eBay this winter and make the most of
your money shopping eBay deals with our best price guarantee
plus free shipping on millions of items. If it's happening
on your adult snow Day, it's happening on eBay. Dj Envy,

(25:49):
Angela Yee. Charlemagne the guy we are to Breakfast Club.
Let's getting some front page news now US shout to
Aman Champret. Looks like he was traded to the Rockets
in the three team deals, so left the Kings and
now he's playing for the Rockets. I think that's grateful King.
He's got a good young squad. But I mean, Houston
is one of those teams that can still contend for
a championship. They started off kind of slow this year,
but they're back in the swing of things right now. Definitely,

(26:12):
Chris Paul and James Harden, right now what else are
we talking about you? Since you're talking about sports, let's
talk about the Mavericks. They traded Harrison Barnes in the
middle of a game to the Kings. That was crazy. Yes,
he was traded while he was playing against the Hornets,
and Lebron commented, so, let me guess this is cool
because they had to do what was best for the franchise.
Traded this man while he was literally playing in the

(26:32):
game and had zero idea. I'm not knocking who traded him.
It's business. But he also said he wants to get
rid of that hole. It's selfish, ungrateful when a player
wants to be traded or leave a franchise, But when
they trade you release wave cut or whatever, it's best
for them. He said, I'm okay, we both just called
the spade a spade. Yeah, because I'm trying to see
the problem with it, Like, what's the problem with it?

(26:53):
What we're trading the player during the game. A deal
gotta get done. You think Lebron James would camf They
traded Anthony Davids during the game to the Lakes. They
can't trying to say not in the middle of a
game and he's also, but he's also What he's saying
is there was an issue when players say they want
to be traded, they look at them like you're ungrateful,
and it's terrible they're not allowed to do that. They
actually find Anthony Davis when I guess Rich Paul had

(27:15):
had said that he wanted to be traded, they find
him fifty thousand dollars. So why can't players say that
they want to be traded, but it's okay for franchises
to trade. They didn't find re fall for that. They
find Anthony Davis. I thought, oh, yeah, yeah, he wanted
to be traded with Lebron. He wanted to get traded, right, yeah, yeah,

(27:35):
but he's right. Lebron is right, Like if I want
to go to whatever team I want to go to,
don't don't get mad at me when franchises can trade
it anytime. Yeah, they're not allowed to make public trade demands.
I think it's players are not allowed to make public
trade demands. And so what he's saying is if a
team is allowed to trade you and it's just business,
it should be just business. If a player doesn't want
to be part of the franchise, and what says they
want to be traded. People look at them as if

(27:57):
they're ungrateful. I don't know, I don't I don't see
the plot. All he's saying is it's a spade of spade,
like if you're allowed to obviously it's business. Yeah, if
you can do something like trade somebody during the game,
then the player can be able to say, yes, I
want to be traded. They could decide what team they
want to know. They can't do that now, that's what
they've been doing. Not really free agents can do that.
Lebron is doing. Anthony Davis can give the Pelicans a

(28:18):
list all he wanted. The Pelicans don't got to do nothing,
but what makes sense for them business wise. One year
later he can go where you want to go out. True.
All right, now, let's talk about what made envy so mad?
Is a law a proposed law. It hasn't happened, man,
you were so mad this morning in Hawaii. I just
don't understand it. And that law would block porn sites
unless users pay a twenty dollars fee, and that fee

(28:39):
would go to fund victims of sex trafficking. So that's
what that money would go to be deposited into a
fund to help fight human trafficking. Oh, now what they
are saying. And Mike Gabbert, who is in Hawaii, he's
in the Senate, he said, it doesn't make sense for
children to have to access X to have access to
X rayed material on their cell phones. So it'll make
it a little bit harder for go to access these

(29:00):
porn sites, and then that can also make prostitution hubs
harder to access, and that will reduce sex trafficking. I
don't see the problem. They are raising money for a
great cause. Yeah, I mean it is a great cause.
I just don't one time you can limit people from
doing things if it's free. How can the state of
Hawaii just say this is what we're gonna do and
charge people. I don't. I don't get there. They're limiting
people because you gotta pay for it. That's not limiting
that of giving you a choice or whether or not

(29:22):
you want to pay for it or not. But the
Internet is free and they're charging for the Internet. That's
basically what they're doing. My whole life, they've been charging
for pown. You gotta buy magazines, you had to buy
old man, you had to buy stuff off pay per view. Look,
old man. These younger individuals don't understand that, and they
shouldn't have afterward. But they're trying to make sure that
kids don't have access to certain things. Think about video
games on your phone and apps. If you want to

(29:43):
access to certain things, you have to pay for it, right,
that's right. And if you want some of this specialty
point you know what I'm saying. You want to see
little people pawn, You want to see you know, a
certain type of woman pawn or a certain type of
man on many a streaming services. For even streaming services,
you have to pay for those. To listen to music,
wasn't listening to mu is it free? Before? I think
this is going too far with limiting what people can
do and starting to do things like that. If it's free,

(30:07):
but listening to music, it's where you have no problem
paying for your streaming services. That's a great point, right,
But that's the everybody has to pay for a streaming
not just Hawaii. Hawaii is the Hawaii's the only one
that's going to charge people for We don't move to Hawaii.
The head of the curves. And what I think is
great is is it does go to a great cause
it does, yes, And the point of it is to
try to get kids because a lot of times kids

(30:29):
don't have credit cards or access to be able to
do those things, and it's monitored by their parents. So
just to make sure your kids aren't going on to
these porn sites. It's like when you at the cash
registered and they ask you if you want to donate
a couple of dollars to the military. That never happened.
You know, It's not like you're gonna say no. It's
like this. If you get on the porn site and
the thing pops up, would you like doing twenty dollars

(30:49):
the human trafficking, You're like, damn yeah. If I'm anna
look at porn, at least I can do is donate. No,
I don't say no. Or you white people, why you
know what? And you're the same person that will be
mad at Colin cap and the people in the NFL
for taking a knee and calling unpatriotic, but you say
I can't remem You're saying no the people that the
cast ready, why you don't need a couple of dollars.
It sounds like he's just talking angrily to somebody to

(31:10):
the end. All right, so white white list of the
moose unpatriotic people on this planet. You know, and tell
it's a black person that they think of being unpatriotic.
When it's black bread they think of being on patriotic.
Then they so up in arms. But they're ignore veterans
in the street and ignore people that the catch reading.
They think you want to give a couple of dollars
to white guy, Just calm down, it's not You're not
an all white Guys's just him. He represents at least
a million of them. I tell you, we don't. And

(31:33):
the hashtack is going to be Steve so White. My goodness.
All right, that is your front page news. Now when
we come back, Mike Baya will be joining US Life Coach.
He has a new book. Was name of the book?
What is your name of? Everybody's looking around like, I
think y'all should know that somebody took the book was
right here. Somebody just took for y'all announced people. I

(31:53):
think that y'all should know. People, come on and you
have one job for one job. I didn't know what
the book was. Mike Bear has been co signed by
doctor Phil. Doctor Phil actually wrote the forward for his book.
His book is called Best Self, Be You Only Better?
There you go. Yeah, goodness, Okay, listen, man, we just
we just gettle children trying to make it all right,

(32:15):
Mike Bet. When we come back, it's the Breakfast Local
Boarding the Breakfast Club's DJ Envy angela Ye Charlemagne the guy.
We all the Breakfast Club. We got a special guest
in the building, life coach Mike Bear. Yes, he's got
a new book out, Best Self, Be You Only Better.
That's the plan. That is the plan. Thank you guys

(32:37):
for having me so much. I love this show. Thank
you for coming. Yeah, it's tall to be a life coach. Man.
I'm too tall play football? Is them basketball? Basketball? I
actually want to play at for them? Okay as a
walk on. But then I got addicted to drugs and drugs?
How did that start? Even which question? I think? I

(32:58):
think I grew up in a good family, but I
I didn't know what to do with my emotions. I mean,
similar to what you wrote and shook, which I love.
How did you get to do the drugs? Was it
your friends? Everybody was doing it? You tried it? Well?
I didn't. I didn't like myself for whatever reason. I
just didn't know what to do with my emotions. Like
I could have been the family I grew up in.
It could have been a lot of things. But I

(33:18):
think I just, um, I'm grateful for it though, because
it's you know, created a new journey for me. It
was like a self medication. Yeah, it was self medication.
I love the party. I love to have fun. I
dealt drugs for a little while. I was the worst
drug dealer on earth because I want to share with everyone.
Everybody too, Like Bubbly, I would wear like boxers instead
of briefs, you know, and you stuff in your pants

(33:39):
and then it falls out, and like, I just was
a mess. I just I would give it away. I
never made money. I just you know, I just kind
of I was lost. I didn't know how to find myself. Dession, yeah, depression, anxiety.
What was the turning point for you? What was the
made you say, you know what, I have to stop. Well,
when you when you do drugs, that's like really when
you lose yourself, right, we all we see people who

(34:01):
are like who is that guy? And I think I
had this momentum where I looked at myself in the mirror.
I'd stayed up for a week and slept for a week.
I was one of those I wanted to keeping by
the way. No when you start hallucinating and I thought
I was possessed by the devil. I thought there was
a camera and the people to my apartment a spray
painted my place red. Yeah, like crazy, but it was

(34:23):
real to me, Like it was really real. And then
I remember, um, my grandfather died in a few days later.
Like I just had like this weird moment. I always
think we have different moments in our life where we
can choose a path. You can make a choice, you
can make a choice to go. I'm not going to
go down that road, you know, like it's not a
good thing for me. I looked at myself in the mirror.
I was about ninety pounds less than Ni now and

(34:45):
I just saw my eyes. I just was like empty.
I don't like myself, Like I genuinely hate myself. And
it was that moment that I was like I need
to do something. I do not know. I've in Mayo
of seventeen years over nothing. Gratulation, thank you, but people
who are listening, and they have people in their own
lives that they can look around and see they have
an issue, but they don't know how to help them. Yeah,

(35:07):
because again, if you don't want to help yourself, it's
really hard for other people to help you. Since you
do interventions, how do you know when it's time for
an intervention? And how should an intervention be staged? You know,
you want to it's like anything in life that you
want to You want to raise the bottom. So people
have this belief that needs to get to the point
where it's they reach this moment of you know, the
moment I had right the moment. I had. Very few

(35:29):
people reach that moment. So for me, I was motivated
by emotional pain. Most people don't change. There's two ways
that people change. It's emotional pain or consequences related to
their choices not to get well. So you try to
raise their bottom by not enabling them. And the most
important thing is you have to get from point A
to point B. So you need to have a solution
in place. You can't just say to someone, hey, we're

(35:50):
really concerned that you're depressed and you need to see
a therapist. No, you sit down with them and say,
we love you so much, we care about you. You're
not being yourself. We want you to go to a therapist.
I'm going to take you to a therapist. I set
up this mean for the therapist. I paid for the therapist.
So you give them absolutely no excuse but to go. Well,
what if they're not receptive though? You know, because you can.

(36:11):
You know, you can take a host to water, but
we can't make them drinks. It's always away, there's always
a way if someone's It depends on the circumstance too,
Like if you're married to somebody who's addicted, um, what's
more important their relationship to you or the drugs. Sometimes
you have to set the bottom line and say this
is it now. You also talk about things that we
eat right in this book and your diet and how
that can actually affect you. As far as being your

(36:33):
best self, I do so in best Self, what we
do off the badge, we create your best self and
your anti self. So your best self is your authentic self.
It's the best version is who you are. Like we're
all given names by our parents, but at a sole level,
you know who are. You can create your So mine's
a wizard named Merlin. He's like whys He's like super old,

(36:54):
you know, he's in my head. You know. It's it
kind of plays back to the whole angel and devil,
but really defining really finding who is that angel inside
of you and who is that devilry? Yeah, So, like
I went on like the talk and all the hosts
they you know, they did their best self and anti self.
I would love for you guys to do your best
self and anti self. But the anti self is that er,
that part of you that is getting in the way

(37:16):
of you having a better life. For me, my anti
self I call angelos like impatient, provoking, like doesn't let
anyone in, doesn't want to believe that you know there
there's things are going right. So, like I find that
doing that exercise is beyond helpful. Do you have an
anti self? You think we all do? Yeah? I mean, honestly,

(37:38):
probably charloman really yeah, why you probably is my anti self?
I mean I don't know. I think Charlomagne's the art.
I mean I've watched a lot of The Breakfast Club.
Maybe you guys can chime in. Do you think Charlomagne
is the worst part of him? Good question? Every think yes,

(38:00):
Why tell me a difference between who he authentically as
his antiself Leonard. I think Leonard is a kid that
um grew up where people didn't necessarily respect him or
necessarily like him. So I think he created a character
named Charlomagne that he uses to bully people like the
bullied like he bullied, you know, the down syndrome kid.

(38:23):
You know, Like, what are you talking about? I'm telling you, Like,
so I think Armagne, Yes, it is that way of
that person to kind of protect little Leonard. I think
it's like definitely, I honestly feel like that. I feel
like way. I feel that way about any mail and
hip hop. And I say tell you why, because we
all create these characters, like none of these people are.

(38:44):
Most of us don't use our real names. We move
off the perception that people And why do you think
that is? Probably for all the reasons, just that Charlomagne
can act up. Yes, jam can act up in the
hood a lot of it and survived, so guys aren't
in the hood anymore. That But that's what I mean
when I say my anti self could possibly be Charlemagne,

(39:06):
because I don't know if a lot of the things
that I used to believe serve me now, I would say,
I would say the antiself would be the parts of
Charlemagne that are destructive to your own life. Oh that's
the gone. I stopped other girls and stopped doing drugs
a long time. So explain what you mean. I think
that's partly what it was when I when I said
it was the Charlemagne, it was you know, when we
used to go to the club, it was Charlemagne and

(39:27):
Envy in the club. When I'm at home, I'm Rashaan,
He's Leonard. It's it's a different yard and Leonard McKelvey.
You know, it's just a different I think it's kind
of like a different person. I think even with me,
DJMV was the one that was wild out and that
was kind of like that person on my shoulder. But
remove yourself from what you're doing exactly by giving them
a different name. Same with you, I'm actually yet you
all the time. Got it? I feel like, I mean,

(39:49):
of course I've grown into you know, different spaces in
my life, but I think I've always fundamentally like been
a nice, decent person. Yeah, and I've looked like like
I've looked at you know, you can look at old
footage like and you see like what the fun was that, Yeah,
you know what I'm saying, what's I doing? Like, I mean,
you said certain things that I've said, or even just
certain things that I've done, and I'm like, he was

(40:10):
a wild boy, a wild boy. I was a wild boy.
And it's like, even when people tell you stories, you'd
be like, damn, I said that I did. Like I
think for myself, i'd probably used to. I drank a
lot more. I partied a lot more, but I also
was younger. Yeah, yes, you know, and I definitely like
I'm a lot more conscious about what I eat, and
you know, I don't drink at all nearly as much

(40:31):
as I do, and I'm a lot more responsible. But
I think how I treated people was always consistent. All Right,
we have more with life, coach Mike Bear when we
come back, don't move. It's to breakfast club. Good morning morning.
Everybody is DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlemagne the guy we
all the breakfast club. We have life, coach Mike Baa
in the building. Charlomagne. So, so what's the seven spears

(40:51):
of living your best life? You need a pen and
the paper spears. Anym those fears, I got you, And
so you're gonna write down s p h, yeah, exactly,
you got it? Yes, okay, So what I want you
to do is to rate your social life with how

(41:13):
you truly wanted to be. So the first as is
social from a one to ten ten being it's exactly,
I love it. It aligns with who I truly am.
Social life, your social life, your friendships, your The next
would be your personal life. When I say personal, it's
your self care, it's your own mental health, it's your

(41:35):
self esteem. Next is your health, the organs in your body,
your physical health. The next would be education or evolved.
How much are you evolving in your life? That winds
up with what or how you want it to be. Relationships,
So this would be with your kids and your family
and your loved one. Sometimes people break it down to
two they have like a loved one. Right, it's a

(41:58):
lot different. It's normally different. So sometimes you can break
it down employment and spiritual boom, got it all right?
Why don't you tell me what you came out with?
Charlaman For social, I put ten because I really do
feel like I have great friends, and I feel like
I'm a great friend. Uh P is what personal? I
put a seven? Age health, I put a eight. Evolving.

(42:21):
I put a ten because I feel like I'm a
totally different person than I was for five years ago.
Our relationships by eight because I feel like I can
always be more attentive, especially when you're at home, Like
a lot of times we tend to go home and
like disconnect, but we don't even realize we're disconnected from
our family as well. Employment or nine should have been

(42:46):
a ten, though, but I put it nine because I
feel like I still can do a little bit more.
Um and s wood Spiritual, I put it nine because
I feel like I can. I'm there, but I'm not
there where I want to be spiritually okay, And any
reason why I saw as a seven um personal was
what with personal self esteem? I think that's a constant battle.

(43:07):
I think the mental health thing is a constant battle,
because sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm done. Like sometimes I
can wake up in the morning to be extremely happy.
Sometime I wake up in the morning and just be
just pressed, sad, mad, don't even know why. You know
what I'm saying, Like like I can be totally fine
on a Tuesday and be like calling my therapist, like
I got to come see you right now on a Wednesday.
But I know why that is though. I know it's
because it's things that I'm holding on to that I

(43:30):
haven't expressed or told the world, and it's it's it's
eating me up. But I'm gonna free myself soon. Yeah, yes, wow, yes,
be free. Yeah. Um. Social was eight. Although I have
a small circle of friends and a small circle of people,
I want to expand it to things that that I

(43:52):
really really enjoy that I don't necessarily know of. And
I've been doing that with the real estate. I've been
doing that with the automotive in the cars and if
they that I love. So I'm starting to expand, but
I need to get more into that. I'm in New Yorker,
so I just don't like to talk to people. You
kind of don't like to ask, so you try to
figure it out on yourself. So I gotta work on that.
Personal is eight. I just think for myself, there's a life.
It bothers me, and when it bothers me, I have

(44:15):
a problem with it. That's just who I am. Health
is eight. I need to eat better. Education. Uh, it's
the same now, you broke we broke it down to two, right,
we broke it down, evolved, education evolved. I think I've
evolved amazingly from who I was when we started this
breakfast something um. And as far as uh education and
knowing more, I feel like it's a nine. I'm ready
to learn. I love to learn. What else we have?

(44:37):
Relationship eight um and really the reason relationship eight. I'm
almost at the point where I want to be in
my relationship with my wife, Like I'm ninety percent there,
but it's still kind of like if you've done so
much both, it's kind of like you just want to
ease it in a little bit, like you know, the
statue of limitation is almost there. So I'm almost there
with that. Employment ten, like I really enjoy my job.

(44:58):
This is a This is not a job to me.
I would work here for free if they didn't want
to pay me. And the spiritual I say ten. I mean,
I'm so connected to a God and how many times
I pray, and how many times I speak to God,
and how many times I pray with my kids and
pray with my wife and pray with my family. I
feel a closeness. You know. I don't attend church, I

(45:18):
just really don't, But I have my own so that
those are mine. Social life shoes I put seven, and
I only put that because I have a lot of friends,
but I feel like I don't have the time to
dedicate to making sure that my friendships like I'll have
people call me up and be like, oh my god,
I just went through this and I don't even have
time to like go see you, and I feel bad

(45:39):
about that. Personal I put seven just because I don't
get enough sleep ever, and I feel like that's something
I need to work on. I think sometimes I make
too many commitments to do things like this week is
crazy for me, but it's always like that. I'm always
like next month, I'm gonna just take it easy, and
I never end up doing that. Um For health, I
put eight because I do try to eat well, even

(46:00):
as far as like working out, I try to make
sure I do that also, so I do feel pretty
good about that. Education and evolving I put in eight
because I am always trying to learn about new and
different things. I just became an ambassador for the New
York Public Library. I read a lot of books, and
education has always been important to me, so it's different things.
I'm always trying to make sure I grow into as
far as an entrepreneur, evolving relationships. For family, I put

(46:22):
us six only because I have never really been like
super super close to my family. I think I do
a lot of things that I'm obligated to do because
I know that's my family, but I also don't even
see them that muse like, I know certain people talk
to their family members every day, and I might not
talk to like my mom for you know, three or
four days, my dad for a couple of weeks, my
brother for a couple of weeks. You think, I know

(46:46):
people that talk to their mom every single day, you know,
And so it makes me feel bad. And then as
far as like relationships like my boyfriend, I put a
seven just because we don't see each other as much
as we could because we're not in the same place.
Employment I put eight. Spiritual I put nine because I
feel great spiritually. Spiritually, like I feel like I'm pretty
much a happy person. I barely ever feel depressed. If

(47:09):
I do, I know it's a natural like thing that's passing.
It's never felt like a you know, anything crippling for me.
And I'm very good at like saying okay, Angela, you're
not feeling good about this right now, But everything's gonna
be okay, and I forget that I'm upset, like really quickly. Well,
thank you all three for doing that. Then what you
do is you look at your lowest area and then
you shut a goal around it and so that you

(47:30):
know you'd be personal for you to be personal, and
you just just one arena, like because if you can
just improve that one arena, just one or two points,
your life's gonna be that much better. Okay, So what
goal you would want to shift your personal life? What
you're going to do by getting more freed up. I'm
just constantly doing the work. I'm going to therapy, spiritual advisors,

(47:50):
and I know I know what it is that's bothering me,
and I'm going to free myself when I express it.
I'm thinking before they years over the way, do you know,
versus going right now? The opportunity is presenting itself. It's
by the end of the year, he's going to free
himself up. And I can't wait. This is like a
like what what what freedom like? Andy? Freedom? Is it shut?

(48:13):
And he is the guy from the fire Festival who
was sucking baby on water early but he was down
to do it. He didn't get a chance to he
was ready. It wasn't just get some people could drink water.
It's no, no, this is it should be fun. You

(48:33):
want to do that? Should you imagine? What are you
gonna work through? I'm gonna work on relationship and I'm
gonna work on personal relationship because me and my wife
are a way better than we ever been. You know,
we've been together twenty four years. But when I say
way better we can it's like it's free. When when
I became free with her, we became free together and
it's and it's so great, and I just want to

(48:54):
keep it that way. I just want to keep it
that way and continue to work on our relationship. And
as far as personal, like I said, I just got
to work on myself, make sure I'm saying and not,
you know, focus on anxiety. I'm worried about when my
daughter goes out and when she drives, and like things
that I can't control. I'm super hypersensitive about and I
gotta make sure I can. Yeah, that's the biggest thing
I learned in twenty nineteen. I am I am willingly
accepting the things I cannot control. How about for you?

(49:17):
I think, just for myself, I need to make sure
I stop running myself into the ground doing so many
different things and dedicated some ore time to family and friends.
So the thing is on all these so we're aware, right,
we gotta were we now know? Okay, this is where
I want to get to. You know, normally what we
would do is then you would go like, okay, how
do I measure it? How do I get there? When

(49:38):
am I going to get there by? And then the
best thing to do is find an accountability partner, whether
it's your spouse or whoever in your life. So it's
just to me, this is just like a simple way
to kind of assess your life that anyone can do.
Back home free with my wife later, That's what I'm
writing it down. Now, I'm gonna do what we gotta
have a conversation. Yeah, isn't it a great conversation? I
got in the in Best Self, I have like over

(49:59):
one hundred ext percises and so it is a personal playbook. Yes,
there's some great exercises, doctor Phil recommends heavily. That's great.
I'm gonna do this today with my wife. Mike. Thank
you for coming man, Thank you Charlomagne, thank you for joining.
Appreciate you life coach, Mike bo. You guys got to
do the work on yourselves. Okay, there you go. It's
the Breakfast Club. Good morning. I want to be with

(50:20):
you morning. Everybody is DJ MVY Angela Yee, Charlomagne, the guy.
We are the Breakfast Club. Good morning, Hey, good morning.
How you feeling. I am feeling wonderful. How about you, guys?
I'm good man. Listen. I gotta shout out again to
Angie Thomas. She has a new book out on the
come up, so I just want to recommend anybody that

(50:41):
is a reader like myself to make sure you pick
that up. I hosted her Q and A last night.
She's really dope and they actually are making that book
into a movie, just like they hate You Give, which
she also wrote. Okay, yes, that is dope. Now we
got rumors on the way where we're talking about in
the rumors, so let's talk about Tory Lanes. You know
he's been beefing with a lot of people. How serious
is it? Well, here what he has to say to complex. Okay,

(51:01):
we'll get into all laxt keep it locked. It's the
Breakfast Club. Don't Move Morning. Everybody is DJ MV and
Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy. We are the Breakfast Club.
Let's get to the rum as. Let's talk Tory Lanes
the team. This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee
on the Breakfast Club. And before we get into that,

(51:23):
shout out to this source magazine. The Power thirty issue
is out. Okay, and for the fifth year in a row,
the Breakfast Club is number one for radio DJ For
the Breakfast Club, I heard about that show. Shout to
the Source magazine as well. Yes, borderline trash show, but
you know they're consistent. They're consistent at whatever it is
that they do. Yes, a lot of times, we individually

(51:44):
and as a show get a lot of hate, but
we get a lot of love as well, which we appreciate.
We have a lot of great moments up here. Best
listeners in the business. We thank y'all for having no taste.
So thank you guys, Thank you. It's very humbling. I
was like, are we going to be number one again?
All right? Now to Lanes sat down with Pitchfork and
he talks about a lot of things, including the beefs

(52:04):
that he's been having and those beefs that with people
like don Que join the Lucas. Dream Doll roys to
five nine now. He did say that they were friendly
battles with don Que and joining Lucas. He said, I'm
friends with don Que today. I was talking to him
the other day. Join the Lucas. Same thing. It's purely
for the sport of hip hop. We'all got. You gotta
stop seeing SMD if it's just sport. Yes, I'm telling people,

(52:26):
if it's your sport, maybe I stay away playing. Okay, right,
you know, I take your word from maybe you got
Maybe you're two old school right? That might be the
new way of playing and old school all right now.
He also talks about dream Doll and name dropping her

(52:46):
in his song this song to don Que, he said,
first of all, dream as my home girl, and I
think even she got it twisted what I was saying
in that line. I said, don Que, you paid dream
Doll to get to the vagina. He said, I never
said you f dream Doll for a verse. I ever
said that, And that's why I Dreamed dropped her disk
track against him. But he said that it's his homegirl.
They're cool now as far as his beef with Worse

(53:08):
to five nine. He said, we spoke and it was like, Yo,
what's the deal. I feel like you was hating on
me and the joining a situation and he said Worse
to five nine said, yo, bro first and foremost, that
was just my opinion on it. It was along the
lines of a miscommunication. I didn't know it was miscommunication.
So he said, I don't want to battle everybody. People
think I just want to battle everyone. Know, let's go
on the same song. We could do this as a

(53:29):
collaborative effort. You do your best and I'll do my best,
and then the people will decide who's done their best
and who's better. So nothing wrong with some competition. He
actually made things a little spicy. What about you mentioned Tyristo.
Maybe this interview with Pitchfork was done before the tymes.
I don't know, all right, Kanye West, we heard about
that fourteen million dollar condo that he bought Kim Kardashian

(53:49):
for Christmas in Miami. He saw the property during art Baso.
He was like, look, merry Christmas. It was a surprise
to her. But now he has decided to back out
of that deal. You know what, I can out of
that purchase means he's gonna lose his deposit. You know
how much that was. That was six hundred thousand dollars
loses all that just lost gone. Yeah, you put a
deposit in, that's crazy, going to contract and then you

(54:11):
change your mind. Now, what they're saying is that he
doesn't like the leaks surrounding the sale. Too many people
knew about it, they knew where he was going to be.
But insiders are saying that's not true, because you did
turn up with paparazzi following you and an entourage and
a film crew and even shot footage on the balcony.
More Man, you're married to a Kardashi and you are

(54:32):
a Kardashi, and of course it's gonna be cameras everywhere,
and their PR team is always on deck. Okay, it's
your own people leaking this information. Come on, you had
the camera crew with you. Jesus Christ, all right. Ja
Rule has a new app coming and it's very so
what is it called? Charlemagne wants to work there because

(54:54):
he makes sacrifices. I love Ja Rule. He's willing to
do anything. Don't tell fifty I love fifty two, but
I love John, I don't care what yourse. What's the
name of the app, do we know? Yes, it's called
Icon with two ends at the end of Icon, so
it's Ico n N. Now it's the same kind of
thing that Fire what originally was. It's not, you know,
Fire Festival was not what Fire was. Fire Festival was

(55:16):
just part of what was there to promote the Fire app,
which was for booking artists and celebrities. It's Andy working there.
We don't know. I'm gonna get to Andy in a separation.
Show them your short drama while you're telling this story.
You keep your shirt open, your shirt over whoa. You
can't say things like that. I don't try to see
your shirt. It's a picture of Ja Rule and it

(55:38):
says fire above it. All right, So Jarrule's app is
actually a booking and concert service that was created by
industry veterans, and they're gonna work with people on negotiating,
executing agreements and getting paid. So, you know, app was
I thought the app was smart. You can go directly. Yeah,
it was working fine, and the Fire app was working

(56:00):
fine before the festival happened. It didn't happen to that festival,
all right. Well, let's talk about Andy King. He's a
star of the Netflix Fired for Andy kingly j yes,
now he is born to be the BJ King. Now
Andy King has gotten offers from multiple networks for a

(56:22):
reality series, and now he says he does have a show,
and cameras are gonna follow him doing what he's excited?
Can I finish? Look at him? Cameras are gonna follow
Andy doing what he does for Andy Baby, And what
is it that Andy does? Blow jobs? You cannot say that.
You can say that, BJ's say that again. You gotta

(56:43):
say it again because nobody heard you, yek, because y'all
not paying attention and doing all kinds of other things.
So cameras are gonna follow Andy doing what he does
BJ posting major events around the world. Okay, so that's
what he does. Now if y'all aren't familiar with Andy
King and don't know why Charlomagne so I died? Um?
Here is Andy King on the Fire documentary almost so good,

(57:05):
so good tonight? Well on his own documentary. That's his
new book coming out. Okay, y'all always kill the fun
that shook one's part not shook anymore. I'll shake it.

(57:25):
But anyway, here originally Handy Kake fied documentary really called
and said, Andy, we need you to take one big
thing for the team. You're our wonderful gay leader and
we need you to go down. Will you suck to
fix this water problem? And I literally drove home, took
a shower, I drank some mouthwash. I'm like, oh my gosh,

(57:47):
I'm really and I got into my car to drive
across the island to take one for the team, dropping
a cluster Andy King, and Andy really came out on
tap in this though. He's got all kinds. But let
me tell you something. Y'all think that it's about what
Andy was willing to do, No, it's just the fact
that he was willing to do it. Everybody on their
team needs Andy. You need somebody that's willing to go

(58:09):
a bomb and beyond right for the team. And that's
who Charlottage is for us. Thank you, Charlottagne and BJ King.
I'm so good, so good tonight, and you I don't
even know why I said that. I don't even know
what the context of that is. I don't even know
whe y'all got that from him? Well? What was I

(58:31):
talking about? Um? Very clear? What you were talking about.
I don't believe you just asked us what you were
talking about? Talking about context and you just gonna keep
letting this happen. We know a context of us play
that again. I mean, I don't even so good so

(58:51):
good to that. I don't know where you can take
that out of context. But anyway, and Angela ye, and
that's your rumor apart? All right? With my Andy shirt,
I wanted Andy shirt like how Dram got a jar
rule shirt. But I want my shirt to say fire
and just Andy's head. So what did that mean? What?

(59:11):
There you go? I get your shirt. What you're gonna
do that on the back of you say? Shook one?
All right? Andy? Well, actually it is somebody who would
do anything for some meat. His name is Philip Lee Phillips,
and the kay, we'll talk to him. We'll talk about

(59:32):
it four after the hour. You guys are so childish.
All right, don't get a day's up. Next is the
breaks believe with Philip did for some meat? All right?
All right, don't get a day's decks. Mayne say that gang?
Don't get the same man you are? Or don't you

(59:52):
talky today? Just not discriminate. I might not have the
song of today, but I got to don't key that.
So if you ever feel I need to be a
donkey man to practice club bitch, they just don't give
today today. Yeah, dunk here Today for Thursday, February seventh
goes to a twenty seven year old man named Philip Lee.
Today is the seventh day of Black History Month. Personally,

(01:00:14):
when you are a black person, every day is Black history.
So really, this month is not about us. It's about
all the others, okay, all the non blacks who need
to know more about us. This month is an opportunity
for us to teach y'all what American school systems have. Not.
What I just said has nothing to do with Phillip Lee,
all right, she Philip Lee did something that has our
ancestors rolling over in their graves right now, Okay, to

(01:00:35):
join the truth. Marcus Garvey, Harriott Tubb, and Elijah Muhammad
are shaking their heads and disgusted at Phillip Leae. He
Philip Lee decided that he wanted to be a stick
up kid. Now, when your stomach is growling, when your
ribs is touching, when you're hungry, you're gonna find a
way to eat by hookah, by crook, and Philip Lee
decided to be a crook. Now, there's a few institutions
in my community for me growing up that are historically sacred,

(01:00:56):
all right, Walmart being one of them, because growing up
in Mons Cone of South Carolina, there was nothing else
to do late at night sometimes but walk around Walmart
Chick fil A. If you have never felt the disappointment
of pulling up to a Chick fil A drive through
on a Sunday and realizing, damn it, they're closed, then
you simply have no soul. And then there's Popeyes, a

(01:01:16):
piece of Louisiana, and every single meal arguably the best
sides of any restaurant on the planet. Dropped on the
clues bombs for Popeyes. Okay, what you want, Cajun fries
with that special seasoning on it, mashed potatoes with that
damn Cajun gravy, the red beans and rice bra and
we're not even gonna talk about the hardy and flaky
buttermilk biscuits or as I like to call them, nigga cookies.
All right, listen to me, man, you have not lived

(01:01:39):
until you have almost died from choking on a biscuit
from Popeyes. Trump on a clues bombs for Popeyes again.
I'd my mouth is watering right now. This is not
a commercial, Okay, this is just me telling you what
these institutions have meant to me. All right. When my
wife was pregnant with our third child, she would send
me to Popeyes just to get sides, mashed potatoes and biscuits,

(01:01:59):
and I bet to get the grape jelly. And you
know Popeyes deliver us through Ubi each now. But that's
a rookie. Yeah, that's a rookie move. Okay, I'm not
risking my food being cold just because I'm too lazy
to take my ass to Popeyes the Louisiana Kitchen. I'm
saying all that to say certain establishments should not be violated. Okay,
they just mean too much to us. Same way you
wouldn't do certain things in church, you shouldn't do certain

(01:02:20):
things in places like Popeyes. And Phillip Lee violated. Let's
go to w DSU NBC six for the report, Police
Robert loves that Chicken from Popeyes, Poly say Philip Lee
walked into the restaurant off Chefman Tour Highway through a
side door and detectives say. Once he couldn't get the
register to open, he grabbed some chicken and left. No

(01:02:42):
police were able to arrest Lee on several charges, including
simple robbery and simple battery. Where do we begin. First
of all, I was always taught that if you do
a robbery, it's the point of robbing the place is
to make the employees open the cash register, like I've
seen Robin's attempt to open the cash before. But what's
the point. You're rolling with your pistol and you tell

(01:03:03):
them give me everything out the cash register, and then
you let them open the cash register, and then you
tell them put the money in the bag. And while
one person is getting the money, you make someone else
run you a sixteen piece spicy. I'm just saying, yes,
I said sixteen piece. Why would I rob Popeyes for
a two piece? Sixteen pieces large mash, large red beans
and rising eight biscuits. But here's the stake. This should

(01:03:23):
have never happened. Okay, one, I hate stickup kids. Stop
stealing from people. Okay, people work hard or whatever they
got and then your bombmaster just wants to come and
take it. And most of the time stickup kids are
robbing people who are in the same financial state as them,
or maybe just doing a little bit better. And the
ain't no money in the Popeyes cash register, so why
steal from there? Those your people? What's the point of
stealing from them? And Philip, did you have to do

(01:03:45):
this during Black History Month? Because you're not waiting until
much It's impossible to read this story and not let
a few black people love fried chicken jokes fly. Okay,
you have single handedly giving biggots a reason to be
racist during Black History Month, even if you're not a
big even if you're not a racist, it's impossible to
hear this story and not allow something racist to come

(01:04:06):
out of your mouth. Let's try it. Why don't we
our cameraman, Steve is in here. Steve come here. Don't
why you get why y'all got all big? Just now,
all right? Ask you one simple question, Steve, when you
hear this story of Philip robbing a Popeye's chicken, what
do you think, Sean, I'm gonna have to take a
knee on this one. Okay, my point exactly, And he's

(01:04:28):
really taken it. Get out of here, al give Philip
Lee the sweet sounds of the Hamletones oh no you
are gee gee oh the day Steve Steve got the

(01:04:53):
donkey too. All right, well, thank you for that donkey today, sir. Yes,
when we come back, ask eight D five five one
oh five one. If you need relationship advice to any
type of advice, call ye now. Was the breakfast Club?
Good morning, the breakfast club wanting everybody is sej Envy Angela, Yee,
Charlomagne the guy. We are the breakfast Club. It's time

(01:05:15):
for asking ye Hello, who's this? Hey? Listens Angie, Hey, Angie,
Angie meet Angie, Hey, Angie. Oh hi Enzie. Um. I
was calling because I was what my son said for
like five years and we ended up breaking up about
eight months ago. But the thing is, he comes around
like every day to be around our son, and it's

(01:05:37):
like I'm tired of being around him, like I'm ready
to live my life and be free, but I also
don't want to hold him back from seeing his child
because I don't want to be represented as one of
those baby moms. So he comes to see you, but
he stays like with you guys, you're together while he
sees it. So I live. I live by myself. Unfortunately,

(01:05:57):
he's in his living situation isn't hey, so he kind
of doesn't have a place to meet up with our
son outside of the park or something. Okay, well, Angie,
how about you guys established like a routine so that
you know what times he's gonna come and have his son,
so you can plan to do other things when he's there,
so it's not just him coming every day, but you

(01:06:18):
guys have a routine so he knows I'm gonna see
my son on these days. That way, you know, Okay,
if I want to go do something, I can leave
them together and go do what I have to do
so that you're not even there with him at that time.
And it sucks because I'm in love with him still,
like that really doesn't Yeah, And he's been venturing out
as far as relationship and I'm low key hurt about it,

(01:06:41):
and whenever I try to bring it up, he's like,
I'm trying to keep him from seeing his son, and
I just feel like I just meet about maybe sixty
days to myself. Yeah, No, I feel you, Angie, because
it's not easy to have to see someone that you're
still in love with him. But are you sure you're
not staying around while he's there because you want to
see him. I mean, I'm staying around because i just

(01:07:01):
came home from work and I'm tired, all right, So
so you do have to stab to some type of routine. Well,
that's all. And I think it has to be okay,
whether it's you know, on the weekends and then twice
during the week he can come and you have whatever
you have to do. Just plan it around that so
that you're not there at the same time. And if
you're coming home and you're tired and you're ready to
go to sleep, he shouldn't come at that time because

(01:07:22):
I would assume it's time for you to have your
child go to sleep as well, right right, thank you, Okay,
good luck. It does take time to get over that
heartache though, yeah, it does. Like I'm soaked, I don't know,
just seeing his face every day is kind of heartbreaking.
I'm just ready to venture out and be my free
single so right, so you got to make that happen.

(01:07:43):
So just established that routine, all right, Thanks? No probam
in all right, ask ye eight hundred five eight five
one oh five one. If you got a question for
Ye in the middle of ask ye, Hello, who's this
is a lightly sweet cross bring Florida. What's light and sweet? Sweet?
Like you envy? That's all right? Never mind, what's what's

(01:08:06):
question for you? Better have a question for you? Um So,
me and my wife aren't exactly seeing out of eye,
but Valentine Day is coming up, and I normally wouldn't
get a thing from my wife on valid on Valentine's
Day anyway, because I feel like that's too typical. That's
something that she's expected. You don't want to get your
wife something because she expects it. My wife would gifts

(01:08:28):
throughout the years. What I'm saying, But since we're not
seeing an out of eye right now, should I go
ahead and do that on Valentine's Day? Do the norm
You love her? Right? Of course I love her. I'm
married to her, Okay, so why are you even asking that? Like,
if you love her does don't listen, don't be petty,
and don't try to prove a point by not getting

(01:08:50):
her something on on Valentine's Day or make it all regularly.
The fact that y'all not seeing right now is even
more reason why you should go above and beyond all right,
what she's gonna have to put us some money for that.
What is wrong with you? I told you, don't come on,
stop being petty. See that's not that's it. A tat
is not what's cool. You gotta do these things because
you love her and you want to do them. Not well,

(01:09:11):
if I do this, she got to do this. That's
an awful way to think we're supposed to be bearing
the burden together though. That's why I'm saying, if you
want to do something nice, to do it because you
want to do it. Don't do it and say, well,
she's got to do this in return, you, right, Angela? Okay,
my good, thank you. I can see why she's not
seeing it out of eye with you. Hello, what's this? Hell? Yes,
what's your question for asking? All right? I have a situation. Okay,

(01:09:35):
we're listening, all right. So I got introduced to it's
good friend. I was never really interested in her from
the start. I actually wanted her friend. Okay, so ILL
wanted to know how to go buy it? Well, I
can act introduce me to a friend to talk to
a friend without looking like, so what do you mean

(01:09:56):
you were introduced to her? Somebody trying to hook you up?
Or like, what's going on? I tried to up. Okay,
did y'all ever go out? Did you ever go? But
we've been talking for a while again, so you guys
have been talking but never hung out together. No, you know,
I don't feel like I give it a passion like
that I'm interested that either. All right, Well, just just

(01:10:17):
keep it rid with her first and foremost. Don't be like, hey,
I don't like you, but what's up with your friend?
But just make sure that you let her know clearly
like you a cool person and we're friends. But you
know this isn't gonna go anywhere, and just do that
for a second before you try to approach your friend.
And I don't think you should ask her to introduce
you to her friend, So you think I should? I

(01:10:37):
think you should make sure she knows clearly stop talking
to her in that man, and make sure she knows
clearly she's in the friend zone and you're gonna have
to find another way to meet the friend, because that's
a little rude. If the girl likes you, for you
to ask for her her friend's information, that's a girl
like you, she does. Okay, Well, make sure you're clear
about your intentions, and your intention is not to date her.

(01:10:57):
How old are you man? Okay, okay, bro good luck
man asking eight hundred five A five one O five
one that we got rooms on the way. Yes, Nicki Minas.
She has put it out of remix, but there's some
issues with it. Let's tell you what those are. All right,
we'll get into that next keeping lock this to Breakfast Club.
Good morning, listen, this just oh my gosh. The report, guys,

(01:11:22):
it's the report Breakfast Club. Well, they have released the
nine one one call of when bow Wow's ex girlfriend,
now Leslie Holden, actually called nine one one. Here's what
it sounded like. All I've been physically a sausage bout
my boyfriend. He was hitting me at place. He said,
no one for the police. Your boyfriend still there? Yeah,

(01:11:44):
he lives here, We lived here together. Yeah, I'm spending
all side because his friends. So his friends helped me
to be The police already came out here, but they
wouldn't let me out the dead room. They took my
phone from me to that called the police. All right. Now.
There was also a nine one one called made by
the apartment buildings manager who said a resident called her

(01:12:07):
to complain about the fight and the resident says that
they allegedly heard a male voice saying he would slap
the f out of this bitch, So that story is
still being investigated. All right. Bo I was arrested, so
was Leslie for hitting. Both of them hitting each other.
They both had visible minor injuries and they were both
charged with misdemeanor battery weren't minor. Those were very discratches yet, Yeah,

(01:12:32):
all right, now, bow Wow in the meantime, has said
that he plans to make a movie, but not quite yet.
Check it out, y'all. Don't gotta wait to I'm sixty
years old to be able to have, you know, my
own movie or my story or my own documentary. I
feel like people put in age minutes old when you
can become a goat. You know. With that being said,
you know it's time I can make a documentary about

(01:12:54):
his life, you know what I'm saying. Until he's sixty,
he said that, you gotta wait. Nah, he could do
a documentary now, especially man that he was a child
who start that the documentary work, and the people that
he was around, his mentors, he'd probably get a bunch
of people in trouble. For danger and the welfare of
a child though, because he probably was doing a bunch
of things the child shouldn't be doing well. I would
watch it. I would definitely a documentary was a superstar

(01:13:15):
at a very very young age. They had footage of
the old scream. I definitely would watch it. I remember
bout Wow when I send you a hall coming out.
They're rapping with Snoop and Baro definitely had a lot
of women that he's been with. Ann He actually was
on wilding out and things didn't go so well as
he got roasted. How you let Hendrix take all your

(01:13:36):
girlfriends because I don't love them? Really? Maybe because they
see you a loser. I think all your extras of
psychekick by the way they keep seeing the future he took.
The first one made a pit stop, the second one
made you leave hip hop. He must have been talking
about you when he said I just hit your girl
in some Coucci flip flop. Wow, God, bless Yadama, stop

(01:13:58):
bullying about He would gonna bow out because he's an
easy talk. He put the paws on some of these dudes.
Bow wow. Okay, all right, it's them in places nobody
will see do that? What all right? Now? Let's talk
about two chains. He's upset at the NBA and he
wants to know why he feels like he's getting snubbed
because he wasn't selected for the NBA All Star Celebrity Game.
He said, Hey, at NBA, you have never reached out

(01:14:20):
for me to play and to clear some things up,
because it feels like I've been getting ished on by
the league since twenty thirteen. There was an incident when
someone in his camp insulted a female NBA staffer, and
he thinks that's why he said, Uh, he said he
was wrong, he was wrong, and I apologized on his behalf,
and he says that he doesn't feel like the NBA
accepted his apology because he's still treated like a second

(01:14:40):
class celebrity. He said, I'm one of NBA's biggest supporters
and barely get courtside ticket. Yeah, I would think the
NBA would reach out to the tall celebrities first. And
he could actually play ball that would absolutely reach out
to the tall celebrities first. So yeah, because they have
the All Star Celebrity Game roster out now. So if
you want to see Rapsod, he's playing. Manda Sales is
playing UAVO. Of course Terrence Jay is playing. That's because

(01:15:02):
they got a Carolina team because it's in Charlotte. So
the Carolina team has raps to eat Terrence Jay. I
don't know who else from there is on the who
else Chris Dartrey, doctor Oz. That's only away team though
now it's on the home team. He's playing on the
home team. Yeah, he is from Jay Williams. I mean,
maybe it's not only people from Coulter. I know it
says Carolina Coulter from the Carolina. Clearly, it's not only

(01:15:24):
if doctor Oys Carolinas I know from I don't think so.
All right, now let's talk about Nicki Minashi put out
a remix of Blue Faces Dottiana. Check it out. I've
been a bad bitch Caciana and I'm still putting Pakiana.
That's sickrom Papiana killing everybody beat Thank you next Arianna Rihanna.
People has to kill me Biana. If you're trying to

(01:15:46):

shut down. Eat Saint Briana. Don't watch you on my page.
Blackiana flow tailor may like Tiana Copil Cappiana Brianna katanaa

(01:16:06):
now still you taki Yana to keep it one all right.
The only thing is that blue Face has teas another
Tatiana remixed that features French, Montana YG and Cardi B.
Now that record bust Down, Barbiana. She put it on
her official audio mac page, and she also talked about
on Queen Radio that she's gonna do a new freestyle
every week until her album comes. So that's gonna be

(01:16:30):
her fifth studio album, Colas. She's back spitting. Yeah, that
freestyle is right. I ain't gonna lie. At first, when
I first heard it, I was like that ain't Indiana,
But just I was like, nah, she kind of flipped
that backpitting. That was that was kind of dope, right,
you like that? It was dope? All right, So shout
out to Nicki Minas for that aboarda but I was
I was like, nah, that's actually dope. Don't be a Hediana.

(01:16:50):
I ain't. I had to because I heard it before
and I was like ah, but then I just now like, na,
that's she kind of killing that all right. Well, I'm
anti la Yee and that's your I'm gonna play the
full version in the mix with people. I know you
now you really? Yeah, don't you? Black? Piana dumb for
