Speaker 1 (00:01):
In the morning. You in the morning. I'm talking right.
You know you're about to experience a morning showing. Like
any club. What you guys are doing right now, that's
the hub culture. Breakfast club is my morning spit. I
need it and I love it. Something you're like, you're
really not popping until you do the breakfast club and

(00:21):
waiting come to y'all show man. I know you gotta
be a big time celebrity. Be up in here. You
gotta be you gotta be big time. J Angela Ye
and Charlomagne the guy the breakfast club bitching morning. Everybody
is dj mv Angela Ye, Charlomagne the guy. We are
the breakfast club. Let's get in some front page news

(00:43):
where were starting you well? Right now with coronavirus, there
are more than thirty four thousand cases of people who
have tested positive in the United States, and so far
at least two hundred and fifty four thousand Americans have
been tested. Right now, they are saying that there is
going to be the federal government activating the US National
Guard in three states that's California, Washington, and New York.

(01:06):
Listened to Donald Trump. The federal government has deployed hundreds
of tons of supplies from our national stockpile to locations
with the greatest need in order to assist in those areas.
I approved the State of New York's request for a
major disaster declaration. The request from the State of Washington
for a major disaster declaration was approved. The request from

(01:27):
the state of California was just received and we will
have it approved very quickly. Almost half of all the
cases in the United States are in New York States,
so that is what they are calling the epicenter of
the outbreak. In the United States. At least eight states
have now issued stay at home orders. That's in California,
New York, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, Louisiana, Connecticut, and Delaware.

(01:49):
Philly has also announced to stay at home order as well.
So there are some more testing locations, and there are
emergency hospitals and medical supplies and all of that, and
New York and Washington in particular, Donald Trump has set
up these emergency hospitals and supplies as well. But v

(02:16):
and micro was sounding a little bit crazy now. The
one thing that's happening is in California, the beaches are
still packed. Even though there is a shelter in place order,
and people were still doing things like going hiking on
the trails and all of that. So the governor is
now warning people to not convene in other places, and
they are going to be closing down all the LA
city parks, recreations and sports and all of that. He

(02:38):
said people should heat these closures and stay home. We
also now have a new tool in the United States
to help with the demand for coronavirus testing. It's an
online bot named Clara, and what Clara does is not
diagnose you, but it helps you decide whether or not
you need to seek appropriate medical care. So they ask
a series of questions to establish how sick you are
and the illnesses that your experience, and then they can

(03:01):
determine whether or not you need to be getting tested
or you need to be seeking more care. They're also
saying if you have a loss of taste or a
loss of smell, that could also be crucial symptoms of coronavirus.
There could be some warning signs and hidding carriers of coronavirus.
So if you are experiencing one of those, they're saying
you might be a carrier, and therefore you should self quarantine.

(03:23):
All right, I'm Angela Yee and that is your front
page news. All right, thank you, miss ye. Get it
off your chests. Eight hundred eight five one oh five one.

You're supposed to be six feet away from each other.
To shame on y'all. I know but you know in
South Carolina, Slavagne, you already know. Yeah, it ain't that
what I've been hearing. It hasn't really impacted South Carolina
in that way yet. No, we're located right there by Savannah, Georgia,
so we really haven't had any I think we only

(06:40):
had one case in the whole state. You're good, No,
y'all not good. Just be stay home anyway, just in
case you don't know who got it. Could be not
a lot of testing going on too, yeah, and it
could be nobody's showing symptoms, So be safe out there.
Please get it off your chest. Eight hundred five eight
five one on five one. If you need to vent,
hit us up now. It's the Breakfast Club for morning,

(07:00):

time to get it off your chest. Because you're man
or black. We want to hear from you on a
breakfast block. Hello, who's this? What's up? What's up? Broke?
Get it off your chest? Man? So I love gonna

(07:22):
stay the Jordan when this country down here and my
allergies always killing me every year, and I'm trying to
figure out my dying from coronavirus is it just my
alley every I gotta figure this out, story of my
life for the last two weeks far front of e MT.
So we gotta deal with this, you know, coronavirus, and
I gotta come home to my two year old kids

(07:43):
or trying to make sure that I don't spread this,
you know, this mess to my kids. So there's a
lot going on down here. Man. How y'all doing blessed
black and Holly favor dealer with the same thing. I
get allergies this time of year too, my brother. So
when you got that cough for a week or sold,
it's a bad time to have it right now. Yeah,
it's bad time you sneeze. You call. Like I said,
I walk around with it with the thermometer, just testing

(08:03):
everybody to make sure everybody's okay in this house. I
just want to make sure we good. Now. They say
you can lose your sense of smell or taste. That
could be an indication. I was like, this food doesn't
taste the same as normally. I don't think they know.
I think everybody's just guessing. And I read that this
weekend too. I'm like, when did that become a symptom?
I think people were just guessing. I don't think people
truly know. Hell. I saw the twelve year old girls
in Atlanta who called it. Yeah, yeah, we don't know

(08:26):
how she called it. She did travel nowhere, no prey
distant conditions. Hello, who's this? Good morning, Good morning, Good
morning guys. My name is Chris. You doing guys. I'm
just want to say I'm blessed today I'm working. I
do sanitation for a living on the streets. Listen, we

(08:48):
need your help too. I am so glad that you
guys are still working. We take for granted certain things
that we have in conveniences, you know, being able to
know the sanitation is still working because you guys are
very necessary for us at this time. So we appreciate you. Yeah, man,
I've been doing it about six years. I can't complain. Man.
I want to give a big shout out to all

(09:08):
the other fellow sanitation workers out there working these streets.
It's not easy. Yeah, I'm taking some trash out to
the curve of the day. Sir, Well, thank you so much.
We appreciate you. Man. Get it off your chests. Eight
hundred five eight five one oh five one. If you
need to vent, you can hit us up at any time. Now,
we got rooms on the way, yes, and Wenna breakdown
club quarantine and some of the highlights of what happened

(09:29):
with that over the weekend with DJ D Nice and
he definitely was making the most out of a bad situation. Also,
we'll talk about somebody who's a wife got coronavirus as well,
and she wanted to make sure it happened because she's married.
She's rather to die. All right, we'll get into that next.
Keeping lock this to Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. Listen,

(09:52):
it's just oh gosh, got guys with Angel. It's the
report the Breakfast Club. Yes, Harvey Weinstein has tested positive
for a coronavirus. New York City has the nation's largest
jail house outbreak of coronavirus. At least thirty eight inmates,
including it rikers, have tested positive. So right now they're

(10:14):
saying that he is incredibly at risk just because of
how frail he is and everything. Now, Harvey been in
there for a little minute. I wonder how you got coronavirus.
Did he come in contact with like maybe a CEO
or officer who had it, or somebody jail. He's been
back and forth from the hospital. Remember, Oh, true, that's
very true. Yeah, yeah, he's been hospitalized a couple of

(10:35):
different times over the past month. He had chest pains,
he was getting cardiac treatment and all of that. Plus
also there's also employees for the New York City Department
of Corrections who also have contracted the virus, as well
as other prisoners. So now would that be fair? Would
that be fair? And like like just the universal I mean,
I'm not wanting to, you know, say what fair is

(10:57):
when it comes to karma, But in the universal laws
of karma, if he called coronavirus and died within the
next week or two after being sentenced to twenty three years,
how would people feel about that? What they feel like
justice was served? I think it would just probably want
him to sit for a while, That's what I'm saying.
You can't just clock out after two weeks, two weeks
after being sinist. You gotta suffer a little bit, right, Well,

(11:18):
at least, you know, I will say, at least he
was sentenced before anything like that could have happened. So
there goes your legacy. And Rampaul has also tested positive
for coronavirus as well. They said he's feeling fine. He
was asymptomatic and he was tested out of an abundance
of caution because of his extensive travel and events that
he was participating in. So now Mitt Romney is self

(11:41):
quarantining after Rampaul has tested positive for coronavirus as well.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are feeling much better after
being treated for coronavirus. Tom Hanks tweeted out, hey folks,
two weeks after our first symptoms and we feel better.
Sheltering in place works like this. You don't give it
to anyone, you don't get it from any one. Common sense,
no going take a while. But if we take care

(12:01):
of each other, help where we can, and give up
some comforts, this two shot pass, we can figure this out.
So they had quarantine in Australia in their home after
being released from a hospital. Yes, yeah, you know they're
feeling better because his wife was listening to d Nice
Homeschool this weekend while not the Naughty by Nature and
she knew all the words too. Yeah yeah, I don't

(12:22):
know she was actually in the Dannis home School, but
that's what she was doing in my mind. And let's
talk about d Nice is club quarantine that happened over
the weekend. D Nis was on there for like seven
hours at a time, DJing and everybody was joining the party,
and he ended up having over a hundred and six
thousand people at one time on his Instagram live just

(12:44):
vibing out. A lot of celebrities were in the Fielding
had one fifty one sixty yesterday when I was yesterday Saturday,
yes Saturday, he got up to like one oh five yesterday.
He yeah, yesterday, he got that. I saw him gilt
to like one eighty yesterday. Yet, oh yeah, I think
when I was looking at it, like one thirty six
or something like that yesterday. So shout out to d Nice.
He always DJ's my birthday party every year too. But

(13:06):
he is one of the most incredible DJs to be
able to DJ for that long and then doing it
every type of genre. He was all over the place
with it, but it was all cohesive and there were
people that were actually listening on the live, like even
Bernie Sanders was in there, and Joe Biden was on there,
Paul McCartney was on their quest everybody, well, Joe Biden,
Bernie saying people the people that run their accounts were

(13:28):
on there. They know. I'm gonna be honest with you,
I don't like one politician to do stuff like that.
That was so pandered to me because it's whack. Like, Yo,
you just all of a sudden, you just want to
show up to where you think all the black people
are congregating because this election season. I mean, it's a
great look for D nice But that's whack. Yeah, Obviously
I don't think and I would say it was all

(13:50):
kinds of people in there though it was. They knew
that's where people were, so that's why they went there
to to leave a comment and show the fact that
they were there. But and I'll tell you another reason,
or they don't usually listen to that type of music
or D Nights before. But it was good, yes, And
the fact that Donald Trump has spoke every day this week,
you know what I mean, and the Democrats haven't really
offered any counter programming. And the one time we see

(14:11):
you pop up this week, you're popping up on D
Knight's Live Come Home. Man. It's I mean, it's like
I said, it's a great look for D Knights. Bought
a lot of taking to what D Knights was doing though, Yeah,
shout out to DNA. He was shouting out everybody who
was joining him on his live and I saw he
posted something last night he said, um, he passed the
baton the quest loan that I had a tearful had

(14:31):
I had a tearful moment this morning after realizing that
we all came together as a global community and dance
as I played music in my living room. It was
beautiful to experience and I'm truly humbled by the amount
of love I received. Thank you to everyone that supported
me on this journey. Let's continue to uplift each other
as we get through this dark time because music is
definitely something that brings people of all different genres together.

(14:52):
So it doesn't matter what your political beliefs are, doesn't
matter how anything, doesn't matter if you're at home struggling
right now, it doesn't matter if you're rich, whatever it is,
every music is the common denominator. So a lot of
people were on there just partying and having a great time.
Salute him. And by the way, where were all the
terrestrial radio DJs. Why the terrestrial radio who we're definitely

(15:15):
doing their own seeing self doing one, I seen mister
Rodgers doing quick Silver Quick. Oh, that's good active. A
lot of people were doing this. They all followed d
niss lead. No, there was a lot of people doing
at the same time as the Unice. Every DJ that
owner was doing it, but just nobody was you know,
got it no attention. He got the most loves right,

(15:36):
nobody was paying them with attention. Okay, that's why I
didn't see it then, because I was I was, I
was wondering. I was like, we're all the terrestrial DJs
a at the time like that. You know, a lot
of people were doing their own mixes too. There was
gospel ones. I saw Kith Capri. I saw kid Capri.
He comes, he does said of like radio I saw.
I said. That's why I said terrestrial. Yeah, A Self
was on there. I didn't see Clue doing but I've
seen mister Rogers. I seen Quicksilver and then you didn't

(15:58):
do yours. No, I didn't do and I got five kids.
I can only mix for fifteen minutes before my kids.
And by the way, don't do it when D Knights
is on, please, guys. Like that was another corny thing.
I saw D Knights was on there killing it. Everybody
was logged into him, and then people got on like
trying to compete, like, no, let d Knights have his moment,
you know, Michelle Obama ain't on your live king. All right,

(16:19):
Well I'm Angela yee and that is your room of report.
All right, thank you, miss ye. Now we got front
page news next, yes, and we'll give you some more
of these coronavirus updates. Will tell you what's happening in
your city and what you should be looking for. All right,
don't move. It's to breakfast club. Good morning, all right, morning,
everybody is d envy Angela ye, Charlomagne the guy. We

(16:42):
are the breakfast club. Let's get in some fils and
age news. What we're starting, ye? Um. Well, they were
trying to come to a deal yesterday on some stimulus package,
but right now that doesn't look like it's going to
happen at this point in time. Democrats have shut that down,
and I think they're trying to get some clarification on
what is going to be in this stimulus package. So

(17:05):
they said it's not a bipartisan proposal. According to Democrats,
it is a Republican proposal. Proposal. Democrats are pushing back
right now, and Democrats need to find a nice simple Okay,
I was always make it even more complicated is that
some of them are quarants. Some of the Republicans are
quarantined so they can't vote right now. I just think

(17:26):
Democrats need to find a simple way to let America
know why you know, they're holding up the money right now,
because I mean, you know, right now just sounds like, oh,
Democrats are stopping these checks from going out. You got
to let people know what are to find, you know,
details in that bill that you don't think well to
help the people, because if not, you just look like
you're holding up the money right right. It looks like

(17:48):
they're still working on trying to figure this out about
what they're saying. And part of it is that the
amount of money that this will cost is roughly has
grown to about two trillion dollars, So I guess they
want to get some clarification and on where this money
is going and how much it is right now. So
right now they have blocked movement on that stimulus package.
It's probably going to corporations more so than than the people.

(18:09):
And if that's what I would hope, I would have
hoped that the Dems are blocking it because it's going
to more corporations than the actual people who needed. Other
than that, I don't see why they would be holding
up the money, but everybody needs all right now. There's
a twelve year old girl, Emma, who was fighting for
her life in Atlanta and the hospital after testing positive
for coronavirus. She was diagnosed with pneumonia on March fifteenth,

(18:30):
and then tested for positive for coronavirus on Friday night.
As of Saturday, she was on a ventilator and it's
currently in stable condition. They're trying to figure out how
could this even have happened. She had not traveled recently.
It's unknown how she contracted the virus, So they're saying,
how could this twelve year old girl, who was otherwise
healthy have contracted the virus. There's got to be the

(18:55):
youngest case so far, right that. I've heard a twelve
year old. There was a baby. There's a baby that
one too. Yeah, but I'm talking about somebody who's actually
like in ICU, like fighting for their life. I haven't
heard no kids. That's the first shot I heard. I
think overseas there was I think maybe in Italy there
was but not here. And the scary part is is
you know they were talking about this disease, living on

(19:16):
cardboard for twenty four hours for a couple of days,
and the a these different things that that's scary, bro,
that's really really scary. Yeah, I was sizing up all
Amazon packages in my house yesterday. Well, one of the
co founders of The Wing said that her six month
old baby tested positive for coronavirus rg Yellman. She posted

(19:37):
an Instagram photo of herself wearing a mask in search
of coal gloves in the hospital room. She said, this
morning we learned that said tested positive for COVID nineteen.
He's doing okay and we are monitoring him closely. Reach
out to everyone in your life and tell them that
you love them. So so listen. How should you handle
the packages when they come to your house? When Amazon
sending you stuff? He posted, spread that with lights all
you post to wipe the box down. What are you

(19:58):
supposed to do? That's what I I do. I spread
down with lysoul and I usually leave it outside for
twenty four hours and then I bring it in the
next day. I don't see I don't want to leave
it outside because I feel like that Corona just be
lingering in the air in my mind, Corona. I can't
leave packages outside here in Brooklyn, So that's not going
to happen now, I leave it outside anything you touched,

(20:20):
Just wash your hands before you you know, do anything
else after that too, Just period, Just continually wash your hands,
all right. Walmart and Publics have adjusted hours to help seniors.
So right now what they're doing is from March twenty
fourth through April twenty eighth, Walmart is doing an hour
long shopping event for seniors every Tuesday if you're sixteen
and older, an hour before store is open to the

(20:42):
general public. And then Publics is designating Tuesday and Wednesday
mornings from seven am to eight am as senior shopping
hours for customers age sixty five and older. So this
all starts tomorrow, so just so you know, Walmart is
also announcing plans to hire one hundred and fifty thousand employees,
that is, to meet demand in their stores. So they
are going to be doing that. So if there's people

(21:03):
right now who aren't able to work, this might be
an opportunity for you. Pure Like all those little kids,
I feel like all those little kids will be shoveling
the snow. Like now the time to like hustle, because
you could be like going to get old people's grocery
lists and going to do their shopping form. That could
be a nice little hustle. Yeah, that would be smart.
That's that's a smart hustle. Yeah, all right. Pierrella is

(21:24):
also facing a lawsuit over false and misleading claims about
the effectiveness of their products. You know, it says it
can kill ninety nine point nine nine percent of illness
causing germs. So the FDA went on record stating they
have not been able to prove if those statistics are true,
and so now they are facing a lawsuit over those claims.
Don't call me a liar. Now, we've been saying this

(21:45):
for years. Okay. Now, all of a sudden, when this
little coronavirus come, y'all want to tell us that we
don't kill all these other viruses, knock it off? Okay. Well,
and then, by the way, they say ninety nine point
nine percent that the rest of them little percentages could
be coronavirus fall we know, all right. In Atlanta, Magic
City strippers are dancing for online customers. So for twenty dollars,
you can actually go on the live stream and get

(22:07):
twenty four hour access to watch the dancers do their
things on stage. Now, this was on Instagram, and I
guess Instagram told Magic City they're not allowed to make
money off of the site, not in that way. So
now Magic City is going to have their own live
stream site up and running by today, supposedly. So I've
seen te Pain. I don't know if you watch t Pain.

(22:27):
Te Pain was doing a virtual some kind of virtual
strip club where he put on his glasses and he
could actually be in the strip club, some virtual thing
he was doing. What are these women doing that I
would pay twenty dollars for? I got point up just
just what are they doing as worth twenty dollars? And
you know point hub is free in some countries, now
that's what I'm saying. I got point up. So it's
just like, why would I need to, you know, pay

(22:48):
them women twenty dollars to watch them? You know, twart
up is free here. What he's on now here sit
in some countries. I think in Italy it's for their
premium service it's free, and I think it might be
in France all so, but not here yet all right,
I'm anti La Yee and that is your front page news.
All right, thank you, miss ye. Now let's open up
the phone lines eight hundred five eight five one oh
five one earlier. Devastated about that in the room as

(23:11):
we talk here, it just Elba and his wife. Now
it just Elba contracted of course, the COVID nineteen and
his wife was by him side, by his side. And
now show you say it all formal COVID nineteen. It
has corona whatever you want to call it, corona, coronaviize,
coronavirus or COVID nine virus. She all right, Well, his

(23:35):
wife's Sabrina also is positive. Now has also tested positive
for coronavirus. And she sat down and talked to Oprah
about why she chose not to quarantine away from her
husband and tested. Actually, I found out this morning, Oprah,
that I tested positive. You know, I'm not surprised. I
wanted to be with him. I think that's an instinct
as a wife, you just want to go and take care.

(23:55):
I could have made a decision to put myself maybe
in a separate room or stay away. And I'm sure
that people are making those decisions and are tough decisions, Bright,
but I made the decision to want to be with
him and you know, still touch him. So we're asking
eight hundred five eight five one oh five one, would
you be right or die with your husband or your wife?

(24:16):
Call us up right now, let's talk about it. It's
the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. It's topic
time called eight hundred five eight five one oh five
one to join in to the discussion with the Breakfast Club.
Talk about it morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee,

(24:41):
Charlomagne the God. We are the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Now if you just joined us, we were talking about
it just Elba and his wife. Now it Elba, of
course got the coronavirus. He tested positive. He made that
announcement with his wife by his side, and now it
seems like she has let's play the audio. I've been tested. Actually,
I found out this morning, Oprah, that I tested positive.

(25:02):
You know, I'm not surprised I wanted to be with him.
I think that's an instinct as a wife, you just
want to go and take care. I could have made
a decision to put myself maybe in a separate room
or stay away and I'm sure that people are making
those decisions and a tough decisions to make, but I
made the decision to want to be with him and
you know, still touch him. So we're asking eight hundred

(25:23):
five one oh five one. Would you be right or
die with your husband or your wife if you contracted coronavirus? Ye? Well,
I'm not married, but I would figure, I would think,
And this is what her Sabrina. His wife's reasoning was
that they he contracted it around from the person the

(25:44):
same time she was with him, so she probably had
it anyway. So I would think I would probably have
it anyway, so I wouldn't quarantine myself away. And also
if I have to help him out and take care
of him, you know, I would probably wash my hands
a lot and try to do the best that I could.
But I'm not going to stay away and quarantine away. Yeah,
for myself, if I had coronavirus, I would definitely stay

(26:06):
away from my family. I would stay away from my wife,
stay away from everybody. I would we don't even believe you, No,
I would. I mean I would have to. I wouldn't
want my wife, I mean, you had it, but what
if she had it? Would you stay away from her. No,
if she had it, I wouldn't, but I would. If
I had it, I would definitely stay away from her.
I mean, I just don't know how it affects her
body or how it affects might affect my body differently
or her body differently, and we have kids. I would

(26:28):
definitely quarantine myself, going to a part of the house
where nobody could go until you know it ran through
the system. But I would definitely stay away. I just
I think I got too much on the line with
with having kids, and I would hate for me to
be sick, my wife to be sick and give it
to my kids. What about But if she had it,
she had it with you quarantine her away from the family. Yes, yes, yeah,

(26:50):
I wouldn't. I mean it's a tough decision to make. Um,
I think it's easier for Interest and his queen to
make because correct me if I'm wrong. They don't have children,
and if you have child it would impact your decision,
especially if you've got young kids at the house. UM,
I personally wouldn't want my queen to get sick. I
would fall back, go quarantine myself for fourteen days. Make
sure I would screep before I took it back to

(27:10):
the house. And it would kill me to be away
from my family at the time like this. But due
to the kids. Uh yeah, and and and both parents
can't be sick because when you especially when you got
a bunch of young kids in the house. Yeah, that's
no way I would I would do that, not at all.
Even my manager June, um, I know, we just you know,
a couple of weeks ago, we had a we went
to Orlando, and his wife made him stay downstairs in

(27:32):
the den for I think this is his thirteenth day.
He has one more day, just to make sure he
doesn't have a house. She doesn't want him to the kids. No,
we're shure you not in the doghouse for something. We
sure always shot June out here living right. I'm just asking.
I'm just saying, you're positive, Okay. Could be a number

(27:54):
of reasons that man is down in the basement on
that couch, okay, other than coronavirus. Shut up, Let's go
to the phone lines. Hello, who's this? This is key?
They key? What's going on? Broy? I'm all right, now,
do you have a wife or a husband? Nah? And
not ready to make this point in time, So why

(28:16):
are you calling on this topic? Then this is put
people in the relationships, okay, to marry folks. So I mean,
I haven't I feel like at this point in time
you have to be smart about it. You can say
you could be about to die without being stupid, and
she could have quarantined herself and still prepare her. Well,
you can't do both. So let's say, so let's say

(28:36):
your spouse. Let's say you had a spouse and your
spouse got coronavirus. Would you want to be you want quarantine?
What would you do for him? What I would do
is there will be quarantine in a room. I would
bear gloves and a mask for them when I'm taking
them food, and I would clean up whatever dishes to
have with I mean, whatever the trade was on with kola,
to make sure it's disinfected. And they would have like

(28:58):
a garbage trade that that you that you could go out.
So you would treat them like I'm sure doctors and
registered nurses treat the patients that they get. Now, you
make sure that you're covered up and all of that
good stuff. It's about protecting yourself for others. Because what
she probably did was. I'm pretty sure she got her
tests on Friday. She didn't get affected on Friday. She

(29:19):
was probably effected for a couple of days before she
brought out or coronavirus. So what she Okay? Doctor scouse?
How do you do? All right? But you would be there.
Bottom line is you would be there grocries and affected.
Those other people got were in the store. You have
to be smart about it, all right. Well that is
very trying, as you would be there. Well, let's open

(29:39):
up the phone lines eight hundred five eight five, one
oh five one. If your spouse contracted coronavirus? Would you
stay there? Would you be right to die? Or would
you quarantine yourself away from him or her? Let's talk
about it. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Your opinions

(30:03):
to the breakfast Club to come on eight five five
one morning. Everybody is DJ Envy angela Ye, Charlomagne. The
guy we are the breakfast club now if you just
joined us. We're talking about is just Elbow. He was
contracted the coronavirus. When he announced it, his wife was
by his side. She was being a ride to die.

(30:24):
But now she has it. Let's listen. I've been tested
actually I found out this morning over that I tested positives.
You know, I'm not surprised I wanted to be with him.
I think that's an instinct as a wife, you just
want to go and take care. I could have made
a decision to put myself maybe in a separate room
or stay away, and I'm sure that people are making
those decisions and a tough decisions to make. But I

(30:45):
made the decision to want to be with him and
you know, still touch him. So we're asking eight hundred
five eight five one oh five one if you found
out that your spouse hack the coronavirus? Would you be
ride to die? Would you stay by a side or
new way and far away? Let's talk about it? Hello?
Who's this? What? Love this kid? Jay's dad? You know
I love y'all. What's up? Bro? Something king? What's up? Hey?

(31:08):
I was, uh, yeah, I'm gonna answer the question. I
got twenty one years and with his mom, so I
probably I probably shit around and I wasn't quarantine, but
I would. I'll just album, man, is it new Billy D?
Will you? I got some female plan though, was ready
to get your rolla behind that man. Women don't mind? Yeah,
women don't mind because hill dress. But it's just kind
of crazy that you know people would go that far

(31:30):
because it is. But yeah, how old are you commit?
You close to sixty, aren't you? No? Man, I'm thirty nine.
Charlottagne with your thirty nine thirty nine. Using Billy d
Williams references, I'm saying, though, man, dang, I got had
old parents. My mom was about seventy. I was the
last baby. What you spect got you? So you remember
your mama lusting over Billy Dick that show. Don't do

(31:52):
those shots. Charlagne will get on that boot. Thank you. Brother. Hello,
who's this? I just Jonathan from Long Island, New York.
Hey Jonathan, how are you doing this morning? I'm good,
good morning to you. Now, if your wife or your
husband had coronavirus, would you be his ride to die
or her ride to die? I would definitely be her

(32:14):
rider rid die. That's that's wifey right there. I gotta
I gotta gotta hold down, hold it down for her.
So you would stay about got kids? You don't care
if you got it nothing, not at all. That's that's
family right there. You got kids? Okay, No, I don't
got kids, so I mean, so I'm not dangering any
any end of youth, right, Yeah, I think kids factor,
your kids playing a real big part in this decision, man,

(32:36):
because you know, you just don't want to do anything
that that that infects the kids, you know, and you
can't have this. It's your own health too, by the way,
if you don't have any pre existing conditions, because obviously
if you are sick, or you have asthma, or you
have anything else that's wrong, that's not something that you
want to I don't know about that. I don't know

(32:58):
about I don't know about that either, because I've been
seeing a lot of people die this weekend that didn't
have no pre existing conditions. Man, Yeah, we gotta start that.
We gotta stop saying that because yeah, but I think
that money. No, I ain't gonna worry about it now.
That just puts you more at a risk. Though. I
would think that if you if your husband or wife
had it, or you're significant other, and you know that
you have pre existing conditions, it could be a lot

(33:19):
more dangerous for you too. Though. Because some people are
saying I don't care, I'll get it too. I don't care,
but you do have to think about your own health.
I'm gonna tell you something. I think that it's two
viruses out here. I think it's two coronaviruses. That's my
conspiracy theory. I think one is like the basic cable package,
and I think the other is like Corona plus. And
I think Corona plus is the one that's really out
here killing folks. And I think that they know that

(33:40):
it's two viruses out here, but they don't want to
tell that to the people because they know that one
is mild and one is really taking people out. Now,
I think it's Russian Roulette with your body. You don't
know how it's going to affect your body, like for
some people that they're able to go through it, and
some people their body just doesn't. I mean, it's there's
no way if possibly knowing. Alright, let's open up the
phone lines eight. Don't drink five, eight five, one oh

(34:01):
five one. If your spouse has coronavirus, are you gonna
be right or die? You're gonna stand right by them.
Maybe you can get it or nope, you gotta get
the hell away from me. Let's talk about it. It's
the breakfast club, Good morning, it's topic time called eight
hundred five eight five one oh five. Want to join

(34:21):
it to the discussion with the breakfast club. Talk about
it morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne the
guy We all the breakfast club. Good morning. Back to
the work week on this Monday. Now we're talking about
Idris Elba. Now he has the coronavirus and when he
announced it, he had his wife by his side. Well,
now she hasna I've been tested. Actually I found out

(34:44):
this morning, Oprah, that I tested positives. You know, I'm
not surprised I wanted to be with him. I think
that's an instinct as a wife, you just want to
go and take care. I could have made a decision
to put myself maybe in a separate room, or stay away.
And I'm sure that people are making those decisions and
a tough decision to make. But I made the decision
to want to be with him and you know, still

(35:05):
touch him. So we're asking eight hundred five eight five
one oh five one if your spouse contracted coronavirus, what
would you do? Would you ride or die or would
you stay far away? Let's let's go to the phone line. Hello,
who's this? Now? You sound like you are about to
die for nobody. If your husband got the coronavirus, would
you stay definitely? I mean I would definitely stay away.

(35:28):
Not because I'm it's sad. I just think that that's
the safest thing to do. I have kids, so it's
just it's a different type of tom. I don't think
it's a smart idea because now you're another person added
to somebody who could possibly give it to somebody else.
I agree with you, and you said the magic were
when you got kids, Like I agree with him. Hello,
who's this And if you're significant and that loves you,

(35:50):
they shouldn't want you to get coronavirus too. Hey, my
name is Dalthan Joan. I will go ahead to quarantine
my soul. But I just want to say this to
the world and everybody's listening. God is getting everybody's attention
right now. This is just the beginning on defension. It's
going to happen in this world. So just say played off,
stay close to God and he's gonna stay close to them,
and he's gonna stay close to you. I don't disagree
with you, sir, not at all. I actually agree with you.

(36:13):
All right. Now, Hello, who's this Jasmine. Hey Jasmine, how
are you doing this morning? I'm doing fine. How were
you guys doing? Good morning, Jasmine. What's happening to queen? Now?
Have you found out that? Okay? What up? Though? If
you found out your spouse had coronavirus, would you stay
with him or would you quarantine yourself? Or would you
be as right to die? What would you do? I'll

(36:35):
say we'll get through it together. Do you have kids? Yes,
that's the only thing though. I have to figure out
something with the kids, or we have to we have
to come up with a plan at a DNC. Yeah,
if you got kids, for the sake of the family,
I would say quarantine away from each other. It's just
a very hard decision to make when you used to
have an unprotected sex with the person, if you've been

(36:55):
having raw sex with the person, taking chances like that,
you don't mind a little corona stope. You know, when
you get married, they stay through sickness and health. Though
they do say through sickness and health, but I mean, yeah,
I don't mean I gotta be sick you're That's not
saying you're gonna leave them. That just means for this

(37:17):
period of time, you'll be quarantine because I would think that.
And and but you said you wouldn't want to get
your wife sick, so you care about her enough to
know I don't want any anything could happen. So I'm infected.
Let me stay over here and quarantine myself away from
the person who I love. Yeah, and when y'all got
young kids at the house, both parents can't be sick. Like,
imagine me being sick, you know, with an eleven year old,

(37:39):
a four year old and a one year old in
the house, both parents being sick. Nah, man, you can't
do that. Please, please don't let mama get sick, because
daddy ain't no good at a time like this. You
just love the other person and you don't want anything
to happen to them too, So you might just say, look,
I just don't want you to get sick because people
are dying from this. So at the end of the day,
I'd rather you just stay away like YouTube, you sound

(38:02):
like future. Yeah. And by the way, I would much
rather get sick as the dad and go quarantine, because
let's be for real, Dad's ain't no good at a
time like this. The only thing we're here for is
to protect the house. That's all. That's all I'm doing doing,
That's it. It's all about Mama right now. Mama is
holding it down. Shot. Salute to all the queens that's
holding the houses down during this pandemic. Absolutely, and even

(38:24):
see you sound like future parents right now, because I
don't know if I have it, if I'm asymptomatic, and
I don't want to give anything to them. So it's
it's it's the same thing. Now. We got rooms on
the way, yes, and we are gonna talk about Taylor
Swift versus Kanye West round twenty five. That's still going on. Yeah.
If you it's like herpes, bro, just keep spreading. I

(38:44):
won't go nowhere. This won't go away. We'll get to
it next. Keep it. Lock this to Breakfast Club. Good
morning morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne the guy.
We all the Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk to Let's first Tranye. Still this is the
Room report with Angela. Ye. Yes, So tell Us Swift

(39:11):
versus Kanye West is back on again. Now this phone
call has come out, and that was the phone call
between Kanye and tell Us Swift from back in twenty sixteen,
you know, the one that Kim Kardashian had put up
some footage of previously to prove the fact to her
that Kanye had actually spoken to tell us Swift about
the famous song and had informed her that she would

(39:31):
be on the song and told her about the lyrics. Well,
now here is more of that conversation that you might
not have heard before. It has a very controversial line
at the beginning of the song about you. Okay, I've
literally sat with my wife, with my whole management team,
with everything, and try to rework this line. I've thought

(39:53):
about this line for eight months. I've had this line.
I'll try to rework it every which way and the origin,
you know, the way that I thought about it is
the best way. So it says to all my south
Side that know me best, I feel like Taylor Swift
might owe me sex. So now people are saying to

(40:16):
cancel Kanye West because of this. They said Kanye did
not call for approval, which is what Taylor Swift have
been saying all along, and he had denied that, and
Kim Kardashian had said that they had gotten her approval
and she had heard the song in advance, But I
guess his phone call approved that that was not really
the case. And some of the things in the song
she was not aware of, such as him calling her
a bitch. I think number one Kanye wasn't. The Kardashians

(40:39):
have proved that they can't be canceled. That's number one.
And number two who cares at a time like this,
It's about ten years later. Who gives a damn about
some Kanye West and Taylor Swift feud? Come on, Taylor
Swift probably cares and her fans are like peel vindicated
right now. And Kim Kardashian was liking to tweets and

(41:00):
things like that over the weekend after this phone call leaked.
I guess, so well, explain to me what vindicated them,
because I missed at what vindicated them in their phone call. Well,
I guess they felt like he did not tell her
everything that was going to be on that song, as
they had previously said that they did, and he told
her the line. He told her, Hey, let's have you
know what. I'm not going down this rabbit hole. I
don't care, he said, we might still have sex. But

(41:22):
I guess the part about calling her a bitch, and
all of that was not previously told. Right now, let's
talk about some positivity. Rihanna her Clara Lionel Foundation has
donated five million dollars to coronavirus relief. That donation will
help doctors and nurses who are on the front lines
right now, also help speed up testing in medical care

(41:43):
and countries like haiti Um, and also to help support
groups in the United States and around the world to
support a whole bunch of different efforts like local full
bangs who are serving at risk communities in the United States.
You know what I want. You know what I knew,
Rihanna was a g I mean number one, you do.
I needed that money. But this weekend at d Nice's
homeschool party, she was smoking weed right next to Open

(42:05):
Winfrey and Michelle Obama and didn't even think about putting
the joint out salute the rear. All right. Netflix has
also created a one hundred million dollar relief fund, and
that is for out of work cast and crew. So
that is going to help out a lot of people.
They said, we're on the process of working out exactly
what this means. But in addition to the two weeks pay,
we've already committed to the crew and cast on productions

(42:25):
we were forced to suspend last week. It will also
help non Netflix workers. The company said fifteen million dollars
that that money will go to third party and nonprofits
providing emergency relief to out of work cast and crew
in the countries where their productions are shot as well.
Hey man, salute to Netflix, by the way, Salute to
all the screaming services. They're so important right now. That
is an essential part head is an essential part of

(42:45):
the house. Netflix, Hulu, Goddamn Amazon. I was watching things
that Prime. I was watching stuff that I'd never watched.
BT Plus, I was watching things this weekend that I'd
never watched. So salute to all the screaming services all
right now. Wendy Williams is ready to risk get all
to return to TV during the quarantine. During her recent
ship to Doctor I, she said she learned she'd be

(43:06):
shutting down production over the phone, and she basically wanted
to go ahead. She first was doing the show without
an audience, but she said, I can do it even
with no audience. I don't even have to have the
staff is there. Because I did that for two days
and you know, even though they said they needed to
have her home, and definitely she still wanted to go
ahead and do her show. You know why, you know

(43:27):
why this is probably killing Wendy because Wendy at the
heart of her as a radio girl and you know,
right now, all of us are broadcasting from home. You
know what I'm saying. We wouldn't even think about not
being on the air at a time like this. In fact,
this is the time when you really earned your scripes
as a radio personality. And I know she got that
in her so to be to not be able to
go and express her voice and talk to the people

(43:49):
and be it the people at the time like this, oh,
I know it's killing her all right now. Drake Hass
tested negative for coronavirus. He was on Instagram with his dad,
Dennis Graham, and he delivered the news like that. It
was something that people were worried about because he was
hanging out with Kevin Durant and Kevin Durant had tested
positive for the virus, and so people were saying, oh,
he was just with Drake, Drake might have it. Well,
here's what Drake said, Corona. Yeah test, but it came

(44:13):
back negative though but yo, that test was uncomfortable though.
They put that Q tip all the way, all the
way and all the way and thoughts, and I think
I'm okay. I got. I bought a temperature gun, so
you know, like I don't have a temperature. I'm feeling fine.
I was hurting a couple of days ago, you know,
like in my jestice stuff. But I'm okay. Well that's

(44:35):
good deal. Yeah, that's great. He doesn't have it. He
got a great house to quarantine then, though, let's be clear,
huge house. Yeah, yeah, Drake got a little high school
that he can he can quarantine and he'll be fine. Yeah,
it's probably nice. It gets to spend a lot of
time at home right now, in the house that he
probably hasn't even seen every part of that house. Still,
all right, well, and that is your rumor report. Now

(44:56):
he's an artist, I'm show he wants to be out
and about like everybody else. Everybody is probably recording in
the house. Yeah, yeah, got he got his studio. You
probably this sinar recording. He got his basketball court, he
got the private jet. He can go anywhere. It's a
great time to create. If you were created or if
you were creator, and you're at the house. You're a writer.
You know, you're doing scripts, you're writing books, music, whatever

(45:18):
it is. This is a great time to be a
content creator because you don't have nothing but time. Tap
into TI, tap tap into you know that those those
instincts of that. Basically, what I'm just trying to say
is now the good time to be a creator. I
was trying to say, yeah, yeah, I'm trying to be
something smart like Will Smith, but I realized, yeah, this

(45:38):
ain't a red table talking I ain't Will Smith. Just yeah,
great nigga, all right, Charlot Mane, we're giving that donkey too,
bro for after the hour. Man, I can't believe the
lack of empathy and sympathy that people have in these
streets during these times. So I need Mayor Palm Treola
and Michael Bornstein of Lake Worth Peach, Florida. Always got
Damn Florida to come to the front of the gas

(46:00):
so I can have a word with him. Plice. Why
are you yelling? Man? You yell too much? Man, shut up?
All right, it's a breakfast club. Go morning. Make sure
you're telling them to watch out for Florida. The craziest
people in America come from the Bronx and all of Florida. Yes,
you are a donkey. The Florida man at tapped and

(46:21):
atm for a very strange reason. It gave him too
much money. Florida man is arrested after definitely sayd he
rigged the door to his home and an attempt to
electric ate his pregnant wife. Police arrested in Orlando man
for talking a Familia to Breakfast club bitchy Donkey of
the Day with Sharlom hain't a guy. I don't know
why y'all keep it here. Get y'all donkey today from Monday,
March twenty third goes to Mayor Pam Triola and city

(46:44):
Manager Michael Bornstein and all the council members of Lake
Worth Beach, Florida. Now, what does your uncle Sharla always
say The craziest people in America come from the Bronx
and all of Florida. But we can't just chalk this
up to Florida. Know this right here has to do
with the lack of empathy and sympathy that some of
us in America have for others. Now, everybody knows America

(47:05):
is based on the halves and have knots, and having
is a privilege, simple as that, and when you have
you must use that privilege to help to have nots. Okay,
in a lot of cases, you have to use that
privilege to combat to prejudice that the have knots usually receive.
And you would think that this global pandemic that is
impacting everyone called coronavirus are COVID nineteen, corona quimby that

(47:26):
damn rona, whatever you want to call it, You would
think that they would bring people together. Why, because we
all in the same boat. Doesn't matter what your races,
gender is, sexuality is, religion is, social status, financial status,
none of that matters. Okay, it doesn't matter how many
followers you got on ig, Twitter, TikTok, doesn't matter what
your last name is, where are you from? Any and
everybody can get it. Any and everybody is being affected

(47:49):
by it. Okay. This is a virus that has brought
the country to a standstill. The dollars aren't circulating, nothing
is moving. So at a time like this, you would
think that humans would understand what other humans are going through.
But no, not in Palm Beach County, a place that
has the third highest number of reported coronavirus cases in
that state, which is twenty two. But it's also important

(48:11):
to note that none of those are in the city
of Lake Worth Beach. Now, all over the country, politicians
at all levels are trying to figure out the best
ways to deal with threats to health and the economy
caused by that damn RONA. Okay, everybody is trying to
figure it out. Now. I can't expect everyone to have
all the answers. This is a problem that will require
many solutions, but I do know that we shouldn't be

(48:32):
causing people more problems at a time like this. We
all have to collectively attempt to lighten each other's loads,
especially those of us who you know have Okay, Well,
city manager Michael Bornstein clearly doesn't believe this logic, because
he turned off electricity for fifty customers on Tuesday, before
the city turned off people's utilities. Okay, this is happening

(48:55):
all over America. People. Utility disconnections are happening all over
this country because folks are losing their jobs because of
that damn RONA. And can you imagine being that heartless,
that cruel, that evil that you say? I know, people
are losing their jobs to an external factor. They can't
control which school all that turn their lights off. Okay,
remember when I said that hals have to use their

(49:16):
privilege to protect the have nots. Well, this is the
opposite of that. Okay. Now, usually during Donkey today I
would have to get on Mayor Pam Triola's ass and
I would have to have some sharp words for Michael Bornstein.
But not today. Why because not all heroes carry hammers
and all the kings of their own fictional countries in
the Africacy. It's a brother name Amar Hardy, who is

(49:37):
thirty years old, and he's a city council member who
has been requesting an emergency meeting of the city council
to discuss the pandemic and to discuss why in the
hell would you cut people's utilities off at a time
like this, And of course those devils decline to request.
In fact, the city manager, Michael Bornstein, said he talked
to other city council members and no one other than
Omari believed an emergency meeting about the pandemic was necessary.

(50:02):
It's amazing to me that those Manning's flavored mammals don't
understand the law of karma. Every action generates a force
of energy that returned to us. And this weekend Amar
Hardy with the beginning stages of that karma. Oh, he
was a force of energy. Listen to how Omari Hardy
stepped up for the people and challenged the powers that

(50:23):
being from turning off people's utilities during this global pandemic.
We could have banned large gallries, we could have closed
the beach, we could have put a portorium. Also not
within your power, and the attorney has held it. That's true.
Everything came up with new rules at the beginning of
the meeting, and then you didn't even want them to
follow rules that you came up with. And you see around,
I don't care anything about this. You should have been

(50:45):
talking about this last week. Can we call people's utilities
this week and made them play well? Could have been
their last chet to us to turn their life tolling
the global health pandemic. But you don't care about that,
and you didn't want to meet. But every other year
you go around and beg people for their boat. He
explain more about your relationship what that guy? Then you
care about the relationship with the people who don't go

(51:09):
You're done. Dis Disrespectful is what you've done the working
people in the city. You failed to act. When you're
a leader, you failed to act. You said you didn't
do anything. You failed to act. Drop on the clues
bombs to Amar Hardy, Amar, salute to you, brother. I
read about you in the Washington Post and I read

(51:31):
how you said you didn't know how to feel about
how you spoke to the devils King. You did nothing wrong, Okay,
mad Pam Triola had to nerve to tell that brother
he was being disrespectful. No, what's disrespectful is you being
a disgusting human job of helmets and not caring about
the same people who voted your ass into that position. Okay,
Michael Bornstein, the city manager, was disrespectful. Is you leaving

(51:54):
a bunch of folks that you were supposed to represent
in the dark, literally while you go to your house
and enjoy regular everyday creature comforts like lights in the bathroom.
This is why voting on all levels matter. I don't
care what y'all say. Those people were put in those
positions because volks, because folks voted for them. Okay, Black people,
we have to be involved. We need more folks like

(52:15):
Amari Hardy at these tables because he's clearly one of us,
all right, And if he's not one of us, he's
looking out for us. Imagine if that brother wasn't there
speaking on behalf of the half not, this wouldn't even
be a story. Hell, we probably wouldn't even know these
folks had their utilities cut off. That's why we have
to have more public servants in those positions, not fake
public servants, but actual public servants who care about the

(52:38):
needs of the people, the public. Okay, Amari Hardy is
one of those people. Mayor Pam Triola and Michael Bornstein
are not. Please let Kathy Griffin give Mayor Pam Triola,
city Manager, Michael Bornstein and all the council members in
Lake Worth Beach, Florida the biggest he haw. Please give
this giant jar male the biggest he haw. You know,

(53:02):
this got me to thinking, right like, how many places
is this happening and we don't know about it? Because
I was also reading in the Washington Post that you know,
the state of Maine is disconnecting people's utilities, and you know,
I just told you about what was happening in the
Worth Beach, Florida, Like how many places is just happening
and we don't know about it, no about it because
these people just simply and voices aren't allowed enough. Right, well,

(53:22):
let's open up the phone lines. Eight hundred five eight
five one on five one. Is this happening to you?
Maybe they're shutting off your power, your electricity, or your water,
or maybe they're trying to vict you out your home.
Let's talk about it right now, five eight five one
on five one. Is this happening to you? Let's talk
about those doubles on blasts? Call us right now, let's
put those doubles on blast. God damn it. It's the

(53:43):
Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club Morning. Everybody is
DJ Envy and Ngula Yee, Charlomagne the guy. We are
the Breakfast Club. Now, if you've just joined us, we're
asking eight hundred five eight five one on five one.
Are you in the area where they're cutting off your power,
your electricity, maybe your gas or your water, or maybe

(54:06):
they're just gonna evict you. Yeah, this comes from something. Yeah,
this this comes from something, because you know in Lakeward, Florida,
that's what they're doing to the citizens of Lakeward, Florida
cutting their utilities off. They're doing it in main So
we just want to know, you know, who else is
going through this and and they don't have the voice
to be heard about it. All right, Well let's go
to the phone lines. Hello, who's this? Yeah, it is

(54:28):
Marlin from luch to Louis and Hey, what's something? What's happening? Yeah? Man,
we got schools closing people out of work down here,
while I man, we got play playing workers out of work. Man,
it's crazy. Are they cutting y'all utilities off? Though? That
was the question. I need you to pay attention. Mally. Oh,
I just got in the car. I just got in

(54:49):
the call. They haven't cut anything off yet, but there
they've been talking about it, cutting off y'all utilities. Yeah,
so for what reason? What's the reason people don't have
the money to pet Bill? I don't know her. It's crazy, God,
damn boy? All right, thank you brother? Now, mind you guys.
We don't have interns anybody answering the phone, so we're

(55:09):
just gonna random so you don't know what you get. Sometimes. Hello,
who's this? What's up? Envy? This? Eric Man? Shan Firolana
Bro Eric, what's up, bro? How's it going? Lama's Noma,
just calling in on the little situation you know we're
talking about. It's kind of crazy too. But actually, Duke
Energy send an email saying that they were not out
of respect to the COVID nineteen, but Spectrums send an
email sanity to me saying that they were going to

(55:31):
actually discontinue my services. I don't pay the bill now
we're part of I'm on as something right, it's probably
like thirty minutes from Columbia. I know it's something? Is that? Brother? Now? Listen?
Imagine question? Are you behind on your billy? You all
caught up? Are they? Are they caught? They cutting it
off because of the corona? Or be just because you
know you ain't paid? No watch no no, no, no, no, no,
I ain't. I ain't because you're talking about it. Your internet?

(55:54):
Your internet service? What is it? The cable internet? I
have my cable internet. Lapp okay, Lord, have mercy? So
what you so? What you're gonna do? Brother? What you mean?
What I'm gonna do? All right? What you're gonna do?
You gotta Are you gonna pay the bill? Yeah, I'm
gonna pay the bill. Ain't got no choice. Well you

(56:15):
got a choice. You might not have no money. People,
so if you ain't got no money, you can't pay
the bill. They might not pay, but I gotta pay
if I want the services. It's born another and it
is okay watch no sports, no nothing, So I okay,
all right, that is a fact. Well, thank you bro. Hello,
Who's water? And electricity is probably the more important things
that you need to make it? Water electricity. I ain't
trip off the giant tripping off the cable company. As

(56:37):
much of these screaming services is important, that's not a
necessity to have the cable on. Hello. Who's this? Hey,
it's me call him from YC. What's up? Good morning? Now?
Now have they cut off anything by you? Your your power, electricity,
your gas, your water? No, no, no, just my idiot
landlord just trying to put evict me. I had to

(56:58):
court here in tomorrow. It's been kids. Why why why
why are you trying to evict you now? Because I'm
complaining about my resiger and reader, Charlotte, man, you're complaining
about your refrigerator and he trying to evict you. Come
on now, how many how many months you behind his name?
Waker put him out there. What's his name? Mad Let

(57:20):
imagine a question, how many months are you behind on
your ring? At all? No? Not at all. I just
played him on March the sixth, and he sent me
eviction notice on March the Knights because I'm complaining about
my refrigerator, basically what you call the fenh doing corona,
I know, but he asked about did anybody had many
problems and stuff? He talking about He met your health,

(57:45):
not the refrigerator. Baby. Come on now, thank you, thank you, mama.
Lets just say let me just say this. It is
literally stressing me out because we were in the middle
of buying a house and we lost two thousand dollars
trying to close on a house. Okay, so I was
trying to cause you the envy and asking questions. I
didn't know you can have more than one lilader. I
didn't know you can have more than one landa. And

(58:07):
then my husband is twenty five years have been stressing
over the last three months, and then my landlord come
with this good crap eviction later because I'm complaining about
my residual. So now we don't do the court until
April to twenty, so we can and nothing next month.
We who are you calling from York, New York? It

(58:29):
ain't got nothing to do with the coronavirus. The question
was okay, the question wasn't anybody getting the utilities cut
off because they are out of work and they can't
pay their bills? Well, if you are from New York, Mama,
they're not doing any evictions right now. If you read,
I don't know when they're gonna start evictions back up,
but I'm not telling you what to do, but just
think about it like this. They can't evict you right now,

(58:51):
So do what you gotta do, all right? Eight hundred
five eight five, one oh five one. What's the question again, Charlemagne?
The question is simply this man um. You know, for
everybody that is experiencing utility being cut off because of
the coronavirus, because they're they're out of work. You know,
in Lakewark, Florida, they decided to cut off people's utilities.
I think I read in Maine and the Washington Posts
they said they're cutting off people's utilities. So I don't

(59:12):
want to know if anybody else is experiencing, you know,
that kind of injustice, because to me, that's an injustice
to get your utilities cut off just because you're out
of work and you're not able to pay your bills
this month. And for the women from New York just
now in New York, New Jersey, they are suspending utility
shut off. So that's not something in New York or
New Jersey, or California or in Michigan that you have

(59:33):
to worry about. Eight hundred five eight five one oh
five one. Let's talk about it. It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne
the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. Now if you
just join us, we're asking eight hundred five eight five
one oh five one. We're asking, has they have they
tried to shut off your power, your gas, your electricity,

(59:54):
your water or even a victu due to you being
laid off because of the coronavirus, maybe you couldn't pay
your bills, and they're like, f that. That's what we're asking.
That's what we want to talk to this morning. Let's
go to the phone lines. Hello, who's this hide you
from Florida? Hey, Margie, crazy woman from Florida. Hi, Charlotte morning.

(01:00:19):
Have they tried to shut anything that you had off,
your power with your gas, electric anything. Yes, so I'm
anna call sierge at a hotel. We got to the
home for eight weeks and our landlords still to us
EVO sit in the radio of the first Damn. Does
he not know what we're going out here in the streets. Yeah,
but they don't care if Donald Trump Hardler's ass can

(01:00:41):
push the tax deadline back to April fifteen. Some of
these landlords gotta gotta have the same type of mentality. Man.
The problem with the landlords is the reason the landlords
have to ask is because a lot of time the
landlords have a mortgage and if they're the mortgage companies
are giving them a break, they gotta pay their bills too.
So that's why it's not just that all landlords are horrible.
It's sometimes some landlords got to pay the mortgage, and
if they can't pay the mortgage, they'll fall close on

(01:01:03):
that property. That property. Yeah, and that's why, and that's
why I said that we have to all collectively attempt
to lighten each other's loads, everybody at all. Every it
all started, I guess the top whatever the mortgage people
and the mortgage people can help the landlord, and the
landlord can help the tendance, the attendance attendance. Everybody has

(01:01:25):
a collectenance tenants. Everybody has to collectively attempt to lighten
each other's loads in a situation like this. I know,
because I know a lot of people say I'm just
not gonna pay. Well, if you don't pay, then the
nine times out of tend the landlord can't pay the mortgage.
And if the landlords can't pay the mortgage, they lose
that property. Then everybody got to go anyway. So I mean,
it got to be a lot more. It has to

(01:01:45):
be the banks helping, It has to be everybody has
to help and have to be collective, collective. Hello, who's this? Hey,
my name is D from Detroit. How y'all doing? D?
D from the D. Yeah, that's a wild name to have.
If you're a guy, you like ya, I was getting
some in the DAN. They'd be like, what, I ain't
gonna use that way? Oh my goodness that we're talking

(01:02:07):
as any company shut you off because you lost a
job because of coronavirus or anything that's affecting you, whether
it's a gas or power or water or landlord anything
like that. Mama, well you know what that's like, said,
I want to just put Detroit on the map. But
some positive things because they did restore everybody's water if

(01:02:27):
their water was shut off, So everybody water was restored
and then that monthly be able to be like twenty
five dollars a month. So I just thought that that was,
you know, good when I heard it. And that happened
about two weeks ago, so yeah, they were early with that.
I feel like Michigan was first. Yeah, it was just
a positive thing, you know, beautiful, and I believe that

(01:02:51):
one and I believe in Michigan. They also said that
they are if you have taxes on your property right now,
they're not gonna take your property or anything like that
from you because if back taxes, that's old too. Absolutely.
All right, Well thank for your call. Mon, we got
one more call. Hello. Who's this? Hey? What's your name?
What are you calling from? Hey, Shara, I'm talking? Okay, Well,

(01:03:13):
in New Jersey, they haven't been able to They the
power company, electric company can't shut you off, the water
company can't shut you off. Right, Yeah, that's exactly what's
going on. Actually, But I have a family in Florida
that got a letter that they owed like one hundred
and sixty dollars, and they're gonna turn their electric off.
And these are families that's voted for you to be
the Nighter. They rooted for you, they wanted you to
be there, and now you're just going to behind their

(01:03:34):
backs from doing exactly what you said you weren't going
to do. They couldn't shut it off. I thought they
couldn't shut off the electric and power in Jersey. No,
in Florida. No ecorda, Oh Florida, he said, Florida because
I know no, No, she's in Jersey, but she's talking
about the situation that happened in Florida. Okay, yeah, exactly.
These are people, I agree with you, that need your help.

(01:03:55):
These are people you're just going to behind their backs
from training their electric off. There are people that yep, yeah,
absolutely right now, I'm not really good for that man
to convene. Everybody's got to have everybody's gonna have running
water right now because we're trying to prevent things from happening.
Everybody's at home right now, so people have to be
able to have electricity. This is not the time to

(01:04:16):
be uh, you know, inconveniencing people right now, this could
have terrible They have to do something, and they have
to do something more than just suspending. The reason why
I say just suspend because if you suspend it for
three months, that doesn't mean I don't have to pay it.
That means I'm gonna have three months of payments to pay.
And then when I do get a job, I gotta
get I gotta pay three months of electric, three months
of gas, three months of mortgage, three months of car notes,

(01:04:40):
like I'll be behind for the rest of my life.
Like they have to do something else and just say, Okay,
we're gonna suspend it. They have to do something. The
government has to come in and take care of some
of this. And by the way, they don't understand the
kind of monsters that they could be creating too. And
what I mean by that is, man, if you put
somebody in a position where they're already not making no money,
they're already not able to pay their bills, and you
turn their lights off, telling what you're going to cause

(01:05:01):
them to resort to doing. All right, So you said,
you know, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta think about
the you know, the thing that could possibly happen in
the screech when people, you know, start getting desperate. All right,
as simple as that. All right. What's the moral of
the story. I guess that was it. Huh. Moral of
the story is my wife just bought me breakfast and
it's amazing. I'm meeting some avocado toasts right now, m

(01:05:23):
on raising break man. You had avocado. I love it?
Oh my god. All right, she didn't bring that for
somebody else. Huh. We got rumors all the way. Yes,
we'll be talking about casting nova. He was outside literally,
we'll tell you what he's been doing. All right, we'll
get into that next. Keep and lock this to Breakfast Club.
Good morning, the Breakfast Club. It's about. This is the

(01:05:52):
rumor report. Angela Ye's found the Breakfast Club. Yes, Rest
in peace to Kenny Rogers. He passed away at his
home in Sandy Springs, Georgia. He was eighty one years old.
He had stopped performing back in twenty eighteen for health reasons,
and they have not yet specified what his cause of
death was, but they did say he had been in
a hospice care for some time, and he did have

(01:06:15):
twenty one number one country songs. Of course, you guys
know the song the Gambler, right, one of the most
famous songs that he's had. And rest in piece again,
No no, when to walk Away to Run? Also, rest
in peace to New Orleans DJ Black and Mild. He

(01:06:35):
died after testing positive for coronavirus. He's been working for
over twenty years. He was a popular New Orleans bounced
DJ and radio personality, and he was one of two
coronavirus related deaths in Louisiana on Thursday. So rest in
peace to him, in piece to that brother young man too,
young man, forty four years old. Rest in peace to

(01:06:57):
that brother. All right, Nope, I don't think yeah, I
don't think he had any pre exists medical conditions either. No,
no underlying health issues at all. All right, Our condolences
to his family who he has unfortunately left behind. They
said that he left work on March night with a
fever and did not return and so it was completely unexpected,
I write in New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton

(01:07:18):
was on Good Morning America with Michael Strahan and he
talked about his coronavirus diagnosis. As the first member of
the NFL community to test positive. Here's what he said.
I'm feeling okay. It's been a week now, a week
today that I got tested. When I went in last
week on Monday, I had more chills, I had a
little low grade fever, certainly felt like I had the flu.

(01:07:41):
And then gradually during the course of this week, I
would say I've progressively gotten a little better each day.
I haven't had to deal with any respiratory issues. Still
getting tired, still getting fatigued. You know, you might get
up and start working on a section of the house
or cleaning the dining room or something, and then in
about twenty minutes just feel like you want to lay
down again and take a nap. Man. I'm not gonna lie. Listen.

(01:08:02):
It takes me about a few different breaks every time
I try to clean up each area of the house.
I worked for about twenty minutes and I'm like, okay,
I need a break. Then I sit down from a
little while and do something else, then get back to it.
Ye'all always need a nap to be able to do anything,
like I need a little fifteen twenty minute power nap.
So that would throw me off too. Yep, all right, now,
k Camp has a black Men Don't Cheat song, and

(01:08:25):
he also has Ari Lennox Black and Tink on that
song as well. So he said when he first made
the record, the second verse had black Ball on it.
He said, I reached out to Ari first, and when
I heard her phone, she sent me that voice memo,
so I use it on some creative issue. Even though
she never laid a verse with Tink. The people love
when We Collapse, it was only right I added a
verse for her, He said. He made an R and
B classic in my opinion, Well, listen to it and

(01:08:47):
see what you think change. I'm in looking on your phone,

(01:09:09):
keep playing out these games, and I'm on the e cheek.
He's on me on neck boil. I was making the
skills chantey feeding well first of all, drop on the
clues bombs for Tink. Okay. I love Tink. She's one
of the best artists out period, singing, rapping, songwright, and
she can do it all. I'm a huge fan of
her and I don't understand why one of these labels

(01:09:30):
haven't snapped her up yet. And I fully support the
k Camp record black Men Don't Cheat because I support
the message because black men we really don't cheat. But
duvall song with me was better. I want to throw
that out all right, And Cassanova, we're shooting a music
video even though there's this whole coronavirus scare that's happening,
and we're talking about social distancing. But he was outside.

(01:09:53):
He was in flapwish in Brooklyn, and the cops did
come and shut it down. Listen to this girl if
you want from well, Cast. Apparently it's not scared of.
Neither are the people that he was outside shooting this
video with. Listening to him talking and the people around him, listen,

(01:10:15):
we all test positive for Corona. Yeah, maybe it's not
the time to be outside right now. Man, listen. I
love cats with Cash. You gotta grow up, Okay, I
love that, brother, but that's just irresponsible and immature. You
gotta use your influence better than that. People look up

(01:10:37):
the cas in those Brooklyn streets. I saw the woman
jumping out to give him a hug and saying how
she couldn't wait to meet cass Like, if they see
you not taking it serious, Cast, why should they take
it serious? And why would you pretend to have something
that's actually killing people, that's making people sick? If somebody
cas love gets that gets that disease and something bad
happens to him. He's not gonna feel good about that.
And I understand him calling on Jesus, but always you

(01:11:00):
remember faith with our works is day you can have
faith in Jesus will still follow the CDC godlines and
social distance. You see how Rudy Gobert was joking about
it and then ended up getting it. You don't want
to play That's what I'm saying. Don't play like that. Cast.
Come on, bro, that's just irresponsible in the mature. I
expect better of cass than that. All right, Well, I'm
Angela Yee and that is your rumor report. All right,

(01:11:21):
thank you, miss Yee. Now when we come back to
People's Choice Mix, get your request in right now. Eight
hundred five eight five one oh five one. It's the
Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. Now is Women's
History Month. And who were repping today? Yee? Well, today
we are representing for somebody who, by the way, my
mom loved my childhood growing up, missus Shaka Khan. She

(01:11:42):
was known as the Queen of Funk and she was
the first R and B artist to have a crossover
hit with the song I Feel for You back in
nineteen eighty four. She has ten Grammy Awards and she
sold seventy million records worldwide. Here is Shaka Khan talking
at Variety's Power of Women events on the world Girls.
It's Woman's History Month and we're celebrating the most influential

(01:12:04):
women in history. Check out this phenomenal woman. I started
out with a band called Rufus. This is an in
a time. This is just like seventy nineteen seventy, sixteen,
ninety seventy, when it was popular girls were just getting girls.
Any girl was just getting into the music industry for
a black girl to be the singer and a white man.

(01:12:28):
And I used to work on Rush Street in Chicago,
and I worked all the clubs in Rush Street, and
I was way underage. I must have been in body
maybe five or six bands before I got with Rufus,
just singing around. Um. I'm just a hard worker and
I love people. I just love to sing. Singing is
my sanity. When I'm not singing and creating, I'm hurting myself.

(01:12:55):
It's not been easy, but I love it so much,
and I love children so much. I sing because I
have to. I love to and that's the payoff for me.
That's the magic of my life. And that was another
phenomenal woman in history. All right, Shout to the Queen Yah.

(01:13:18):
By the way, I didn't have the opportunity to meet
last year at Magic Johnson's birthday party, and I was
so excited and I took a picture with her and
it was everything I ever imagined it could be. You know,
sometimes you meet people and you'll be disappointed. Well, when
I met Shaka Khan, I was elated. She was amazing.
So shout out to Shaka Khan for Women's History Month.
All right. Now, when we come back, we got the
positive notes, so don't move. It's the Breakfast Club. Good

(01:13:40):
morning morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne the God.
We are the Breakfast Club. Now again, everybody, if you're
out there, please stay your ass inside. Only go out
if you have to, if you got to check on relatives,
or you need food, or you have to to the
doctor emergencies. If not, stay home, man, use FaceTime. Just
sit back, relax. It's so many DJ's playing music right now,

(01:14:02):
you can relax. It's so many good movies. I've seen
uh Madam C. J. Walker was pretty good. I've seen
uh Malcolm X documentary. What was that called? Oh, um,
Malcolm X documentary was called Who Killed Malcolm X? Who
Killed Malcolm X? That was really really good. I've been
seeing a lot. I didn't get a chance to Yeah,
didn't get a chance to watch the Madam CJ. Walcom movie.

(01:14:23):
You know what I did this weekend? You know, it's
the movies that they released online. But like the Onward
I watched Onward with the kids. But I also watched
Invisible Man. And I would have never want to go
see Invisible Man in the theater. So I'm telling y'all
right now, if it's not a big blockbuster movie like
a Marvel movie or Fast and Furious, a lot of
those movies gonna do very well on those screaming services.

(01:14:44):
Because I damn sure paid twenty dollars to see Invisible Man,
and I never wanted to see that. I definitely sat
home and I watched A Far from Grace. I hadn't
seen that previously. Did you guys watch that previously? No,
I haven't seen that with Breca Webb. No, I haven't
seen that. Yes, I watched I watched Miss Virginia. I
don't know if y'all saw that. I've been watching all
kinds of stuff. I'm catching up on You Series season two.

(01:15:08):
I'm almost done with that. I watched a marriage story
that was a pretty good movie. Scarlett Johansson is in that. Yeah.
I don't never really watch TV, so this has been
very different for me. Yeah, and Donald Trump is all
over your TV too, That's another thing you realize. And
I really want to tell the Democrats. I want to
tell the Democrats like y'all should really do counters the

(01:15:28):
Trump's briefings every day, especially the presidential candidates Joe Biden
and Bernie Sanders, because we live in an era where
you have to keep people's attention and Trump is doing
a great job of that. And I see so many
young people, rappers, influencers starting to say they like Trump.
He's a gangster. They would vote for him if they
could vote, even if they can't vote. They got an influence.
And Trump really looks like he has no competition out here.

(01:15:50):
He looks like he's the only one leading this fight
against Corona, and Democrats look like they're busy fighting Bernie Sanders,
and they look like they're busy fighting against Trump, and
Trump looks like he's out here help into people. So
I would really like to see some counterprogramming the Trump
briefings every day from the camp getting ready to figure
out what's going on with the stimulus package that the
Republicans presented and the issue that they are having with

(01:16:11):
it worker protections in the bill, because the Republicans wrote
that and they said the rules on corporate billouts are
two lacks. They want to make sure that the average,
every day person gets that stimulus money and it's not
all going to these corporations and the one percent. So
that's something we got to pay attention to as well,
because we do need a stimulus package. It just has
to be the right one right. Also, shout out to

(01:16:32):
be et and b et Her. I did a whole
Being angela year. It's season seven of Being So I
was the first person to kick that off. Excellent series,
you know as a woman's history months. So I was
honored to be part of that Being series. They always
feature great women on there, so it was just nice
for me to be part of that. So thank you
to everybody who participated as well. Make sure you check

(01:16:54):
out Being angela Ye. You can see it now digitally
also on bt dot com. Will you guys be safe
out there? Like I said in Charlomagne, you got a
positive note, Yeah, man, my positive note. And if everybody
that's at home, I want y'all to read The Seven
Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra, or you can
listen to it on audible. On audible, it's like an
hour twenty minutes. And this is a real quick read
as well, but it's a really good book to read

(01:17:15):
during these times. And Deepak Chopra says, you accept things
as they are, not as you wish they were in
this moment. This is an important to understand. You can
wish for things in the future to be different, but
in this moment you have to accept things as they
are period. And if you cannot accept things as they are,
you are ready. And if you can accept things as
they are, you are ready to take responsibility for your

(01:17:36):
situation and for all events you see as problems. Y'all
finish or y'all done.
