(01:16):
gonna try to ac normal with me this more. What's
happening in these streets? I don't know. I checked my
key card, my key card works. I was kind of nervous.
I woke up this morning. I had a bunch of
text what's up here? You talk to us talk what's
going on? Yeah, I'm a responsible person. I got a
lot of things up here. I gotta get together, clean
up my area. What the hell I got to do
with that tweets? You said, that's what I want to
know when I make sure that I bring all my

(01:38):
stuff home. What you know? What? All right? Well, God
is good? What she is? You're supposed to say all
the time? Yea, all the time, every day. But what
they got to do with anything? Though? Um? Well, I
love that y'all gave me in the show prep things
that I tweeted out approximately nine hours ago. What happened?

(02:06):
There was a tweet that went out from somebody named Angela. Yee,
God is good and the first one was God is good. Yeah,
I didn't see that, and then right after that it
was not right after it, I really actually did it,
like an hour later. It says nine hours what did
you say? It says the Breakfast Club, as you know,
it is officially over. So that was real. And then

(02:28):
thanks the question why was ray J trending with the
Breakfast Club. Y J is part of the breakfast Club.
You know what's funny because I did that, and then
I so I have two phones, right, So I have
like a little burner phone that I don't use that much,
but I've been using it more. It has no social
media on it or anything. And so I did the
tweet and then put it to the side, and then
went on my burner phone. And then this morning, when

(02:50):
I looked at my phone, it was like a billion
text message. Ray J actually left the comment. Yes, Rage
said thank you Rage for putting the breakfast club in
position himself. Ray J, no doubt whatever I can do,
whatever I can do to help, So he thanked himself.
I'm never going to I saw a guy. I'm never

(03:13):
going to deny REI ever. Well, I guess nobody really
wants to talk about Yes, what's going on? Hell I
talk to us. You're gonna tell us later. Yeah, at
some point, You're got talk about it this morning because
we have to. So I got to sit here and
act normal until you tell Okay, act normal every morning already. Okay,
Well my key card work this morning. That's the only
thing that mattered to me. All Right, Well, let's get this.

(03:36):
Mike didn't work even work. My key card definitely worked. Okay,
just make a sure all right, well front pay's news. Yes,
let's talk about Retirement'll tell you wow a plan? Wow? Tired? Wow? Wow, okay, Wow, okay,

(03:59):
no marry j bligs, be happy something positive? Way your way,
you're weight away. What was you about to play? What
was you about to play? I'm sure it's gonna be
Future and Drake. All right, we'll play Future and Drake.
Then I ain't got time for then this one? Come on? Yeah,
you know take wait a goddamn song. You gotta sit
here and act normal. Untell u n tell y'a all
ready to talk? I guess we're talking right now? Oh Lord, morning,
everybody is DJ Envy Angela, Ye, Charlomagne the guy. We

(04:22):
all the breakfast club as you know it. Yeah, shout
out to Anta the moot Setta this morning, Ida Mood,
set up, drop the clues, Bonara, set up Wow that
drop ready Wowow we'll talk all right, Oh my god,
we got Well, let's talk about Serena Williams in an

(04:46):
essay published by Vogue Serena Williams has announced that she
is going to step away from playing tennis. Wow, she said,
I've never let the word retirement me neither. She's only
forty years old, and she wrote, it doesn't feel like
a modern word to me. I've been thinking of this
as a transition, but I want to be sensitive about
how I use that word, which means something very specific

(05:07):
and important to a community of people. Imagine like I'm
going to transition. She's saying, you know, for all redirement,
She's like it. She said, maybe the best word to
describe what I'm up to is evolution. I'm here to
tell you that I'm evolving away from tennis toward other
things that are important to me. A few years ago,
I quietly started Serena Ventures, a venture capital firm. Soon
after that, I started a family. I want to grow

(05:28):
that family. And so she doesn't have mixed feelings about
moving away from playing tennis. She said, I've been reluctant
to admit to myself or anyone else that I have
to move on from playing tennis. Alexis, my husband, and
I have hardly talked about it. It's like a taboo topic.
I can't even have this conversation with my mom and dad.
It's like it's not real until you say it out loud,
it comes up. I get an uncomfortable lump in my

(05:49):
throat and I start to cry. The only person I've
really gone there with is my therapist. I guess it's
hard when you've been doing something literally a whole life, right,
like she's been doing it since she was a kid.
So walking away from something like tennis is different. You
know then if you did something like for only twelve years. Yeah, right, yeah,

(06:13):
specific I was getting I was just telling you, I
don't know if you know, all right? Um, And the
NFL has approved the sale of the Denver Broncos to
Walter Penner, the Walter Penner family led by the Walmart
Air Rob Walton. So the NFL owners unanimously approved that
sale yesterday. The purchasing group, like we said, is headed
by uh, the Walmart Air, Rob Walton, his daughter Carrie

(06:37):
Walton Penner, and her husband Greg Penner, who's the chairman
of Walmart. So all thirty two teams voted to approve
that sale, and the Broncos and the buyers had announced
that back in June. The purchase price was not announced
by the team nor the NFL, but according to ESPN
that Joe is worth four point six to five billion dollars.
That's a record price tag for a North American sports franchise.

(06:57):
A couple of black women in that ownership grew and
Melody Hobson and Condoleeza Rice Yes also um former Secretary
Estate Yes, conno Leza Rice. Seven time Formula one world
champion Lewis Hamilton Oh Louis parted that duh An Aerial
Investments president and co CEO Melody Hobson, Wow, congratulations to
all those people. I'm not mad at it. And that

(07:20):
is your front page news, all right, anything you want
to get off your chessie, get it off your chess
eight hundred five. I thought he was gonna get something
front page news, but I guess not getting off your chess. Mane.
I'll here it is, Angela Yee says the Breakfast Club,
as you know, it is officially over. We've we've heard that.
Paul tweeted that on Tuesday evening. Now, though the Power

(07:40):
one on five point one morning show co host, who
has her own lip service podcast as well, hasn't elaborated
about fifteen minutes prior, she tweeted God is good in
Angela Ye's colleagues, Charlomagne the Guard and DJ Envy have
yet to weigh in on the reveal. That's according to complain,
you could have kept that for rumor reporter. That's all
you was gonna give up, and we knew that already.

of people, you know what, sometimes I think you don't
realize like what a big deal something is. So you know,

(11:41):
apparently the breakfast club is a big deal. You know
if you leave support show whatever you know, without the club.
But I hope it ain't over though. All right, bro,
I got three job. I got three job offers, any

You know, some people were being nosy, but some people
were just like, are you good? Are you okay? I
have no idea what anybody's talking about. I still don't
know what anybody's talking about, but I cannot wait to
find out. Hello, who's this? Yeah? Hello? Yo? Hey, peace,

(12:28):

(13:53):

Well we're happy we did what was happening? I have
like three things to you left my chest. First of all,
I was on my way to work here like five
o'clock this morning and guy had to come back home.
My head throw up on the side of the road.
You threw up nasty pregnant. No, I'm too old to
be pregnant. I can't get pregnant. Oh oh hold you, yeah,

(14:16):
I want to. I'm forty seven. Oh, Jannet Jackson, you
can do it. No, I got my two side. I

Si Skylar sk y La or I Love cookie. Is

(14:40):

don't want to talk about ll y'all a part of
my daily routine in my life. Well, this last a throwbacks.
We got twelve years in material. That is true. It's
almost thirteen years. No, y'all can get rid of everybody
but Andrew Lukie, dj Envy and Charlomagne. Well, who else

(15:01):

you fired the whole staff? Get rid of I didn't
say fire up the back sea. Don't chase up y'all.
I don't know what's going on. We love you. I
appreciate chiw too, But go tell myody t tell y'all audience,

(15:22):
y'all five millions Jaimes, you used to go to my
uses page. I don't have a great batty. Don't fight up. Okay, okay,
all right, Well you something you want to tell us, Yes,
we'll do it. We'll talk about it in a minute.
What do you mean a minute? You mean a minute?
When black people say a minute, they don't really mean
a minute. With you right around the corner, okay, that
means that means another hour. But all right, we'll get

(15:44):
to the rumors. Next, it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning,
the Breakfast Club. Morning everybody? You an Envy did what?
Don't talk to me until you ready to talk man,
that Steve Envy, angela Ye, Charlomagne, the God. I know. Yeah,
some of you want to tell us no, but I
feel like when I'm not here, they'll be getting on

(16:05):
your chest with the two wow wow, whoa wow wow.
It's not bad though, all right, but let's get to
the rumors. But it's not bad when I put on
your chest. That's to me. Twenty one Savage report the

(16:26):
Breakfast Club. You're really not gonna tell us nothing. Yeah,
I'm doing rumors now. You're just gonna act normal. We're
just gonna sit in this room and act like everything's on.
Everything's normal, life goes on, guys. Whoa whoa wow. So
I'll cut let's all be normal, right and what is normal? Anyway?
That is true? Okay, I don't like you using that
type of language. That's true, all right now. Twenty one

(16:47):
Savage has responded as far as people saying that he's
a hypocrite for having lyrics about violence but then wanting
people to stop the gun violence. He tweeted out that
Atlanta needs to stop the gun violence and social media.
You just have been going in on him. So here's
what he had to say about why he's not being
a hypocrite. When I say something about how I really
feel about Atlanta, Like where I'm from, it's like a

(17:11):
lot of gun violence, a lot of killings and shootings
going on, and I ain't never seen nothing like this.
That's just sad. That didn't make me depressed. But when
I speak up on that, they say, oh, you're a hypocrite.
You did you that you I ain't never promoted violence.
I just rap about what I've been through, what I've
heard about what I've saw. That's not that. Ain't me

(17:33):
promoting violence. That's not me saying your violence is cool
or whatever, y'all. I say a lot of songs that
it's catchy. People like it all right. In addition, he
said that he is gonna rap about whatever he wants
at the end of the day, y'all be saying all
this violence, will I'm gonna rap about whatever I want
to rap about at the end of the day. That's

(17:55):
just what it is. No, it's it's it's everybody in
the world ain't killing each other. It's a lot of
killing going on, but it's not the whole world. And
a lot of people listen to my music. So the
small percentage of people that's killing and all that you're saying,
why ain't the other ninety eight percent of the people

(18:16):
that listen to my music killing each other? If it's
my music, that's all I want to know. This is
twenty one is not wrong in anything he's saying. But
this is the issue where rapped like, you know, it's
just entertainment and tell us not. If rappers like movies
like Hollywood, where things we saw we knew were just
like Hollywood, there wouldn't be a problem. But rappers stand
on being real. They stand on being who they say

(18:37):
they are in their raps. If rapp was if everybody
just said a rapper was entertainment and it was just
fictional like Hollywood, we wouldn't have. You gotta be able
to evolve. There's things that you've seen. Jay Z doesn't
talk about the same things he did when he was
twenty one. He evolved very true's life a different way,
and he understands the mistakes that he makes, and he's
hoping that these young boys don't do the same thing
that he did. Very true, But twenty one Savage tweeted out,
his song is for entertainment. It's not an instruction manual

(18:58):
on how to live life in real life. If I
give away a lot of money and spread financial literacy
to my community, stop trying to make me one dimension though,
and he also talked about feeding his family if I
got if I started making music about Jesus Christ and
turkey drives and like that, how many fans would I
have zero? I'm tuning, How would I be able to

(19:19):
feed my family rapping if I was rapping about that's right,
y'all gotta be realistic, Like, it's a lot of young
people who come from these environments we come from that
found a way to feed their family and feed a
lot of people in their communities and neighborhoods by making
this type of music. I would love to hear twenty
one Savage gospel that Turkey drive. You ain't gonna tell

(19:42):
the turkey twenty one Saints would be ficky drive turkey
You imagine twenty one Saints like but for some But
if I'm promise you, if rappers just said the rappers
just entertainment, he treated it like Hollywood, like treated it

(20:02):
like movies. We wouldn't have none of these problems, none
of these and caught nothing. Job tworking as though. All right, now,
Young Doug in the meantime, it is facing new gang,
drug and gun charges, according to reports, I know he
already is having some issues with this reco case involving himself, Gunner,
and two dozen others. Their prosecutors are saying is are

(20:23):
in a gang. But now they're saying that the charges
that he's facing include criminal street gang activity and conspiracy.
The new indictment reportedly includes all twenty eight defendants from
the main indictment and still focuses on Ya Sell. But
the new charges are reportedly only against Young Thug and
four defendants. So now they face a new gang charge,
new drug charges, possession of a firearm during the commission

(20:46):
of a felony, and possession of a machine gun. Two
other defendants, one being Yeah Gotti, will also be tacked
at the machine gun charge. Now, Yeah Gotti's attorney stated
that the rapper is a performer and not a criminal. Wow,
all right, well, I'm angela ye no no, no, no, no,
it ain't no wed No, it's not I ain't hear

(21:07):
the big room much talked about address compared to what
we just talked about, to what we're gonna talk about.
We're gonna talk We're gonna talk about We're definitely gonna
talk about it all I want. I just want to
say that, approximately ten hours ago, please envy, remind remind
you what she did, Angela tweeted out God is good, No,
not that one. God is break tweet that right now.

(21:28):
I'm sorry. I'm sorry all the time. Then after that,
she tweeted, turn the music down the breakfast club as
you know, it's officially over, and then threw up crip signs.
Didn't you see that crip sign? Yeah? What's up? What's up?
You just got off in here? Now you got red
eyeliner with what us pink? Okay to me? I got

(21:52):
in my woo wor sweater is woo Wednesdays. That's what
you're saying. You want you want to talk about it now?
You want to want you want to ye say, Well,
we got bills to pay, so as soon as we
come back, we have some more to say. And we
got front page news coming up. Because y'all know that
I'm the type of person then want to keep the
show going until I don't whoa, I don't like none

(22:12):
of this energy. By the way, why are you playing
trying bomatomically wow? A front page news next to the
breakfast local morning. So Breakfast Club, your mornings will never
be the same. Leaving a child in a hot vehicle
can lead to their death, very quickly said, cell phone
reminders or play something you'll need in the back seat
so you don't forget your child is in the car.

(22:34):
Look for your baby before you lock paid for it
by nitza Morning. Everybody is DJ mvy Angeline Charlemagne the God.
We are the Breakfast Club as you know it. Now
we got some front page news for now. Yes, and
so the House Committee has said that they can obtain
Donald Trump's tax returns from the IRS. And so now

(22:57):
a federal Hills court has ruled that that can happen,
They and go ahead and get that. So in the
opinion for the three judge panel, they wrote that the
committee's investigations have a valid legislative purpose and that the
twenty nineteen request for Trump's records was not a retaliatory
movement violation of his First Amendment right. So that's happening,
and then we're finding out about the raid on his

(23:18):
Mara Lago estate. They said it was reportedly sparked by
an ongoing probe into the box loads of material that
the ex president took with him to Florida when he
left the White House, including notes from North Korean direct
dictator Kim Jong un and even a cocktail napkin and so.
Some of the items that they recovered in January included
correspondence with King Jong Un and a letter from former

(23:41):
President Barack Obama that he had written to him. A
list of the unclassified items found in the boxes was
about one hundred pages long. They also scoured milani A
Trump's wardrobe and spent several hours combing through his private office,
breaking open his safe, and a rifling through drawers collated
the former first family's Mara Lago home in Florida, and

(24:01):
the search warrant that was used by the FBI to
enter the Palm Beach property focused solely on presidential records
and evidence of classified information being stored there. Here is
FBI agent Richard Frankel talking about that raid. It's a
real case that the FBI and Department of Justice are
fully involved in this case and in other words, it's

(24:21):
not just a whim at this point. While we don't
know if they found anything of criminality, in their opinion
and the judge, the magistrate judge agreed that they believe
they have probably caused to believe that there were that
there was evidence of criminality at the President's addressed in Florida,

(24:42):
and that that specific criminal you know, evidence, was actually
located there when the agents executed their search warrant. Now,
I letna say it's a damn shame that I just
won't believe any of this until I see it. Until
I see Trump charged and in handcuffs. I don't believe
any of this. It's all political theater until it's not. Well,

(25:04):
Richard Franco, the FBI agent, said that it's not political.
A lot of Republican critics right now are calling this
politically motivated. What do you make of that, Well, it
may have started as a political referral, Um, I can't
see it being a politically motivated case at this point
in the sense that UM for them to show that

(25:27):
they have the probable cause and meaning the FBI and
DJ that they have the probable cause and that they
took that, in my opinion, a large step, and actually
went out and got a search warrant. You know, Jordon
Affidavid applied for the search warrant with the magistrate judge,
had the magistrate judge signed off on it, and then

(25:47):
executed it, knowing that this would probably happen, that this
would become um, you know, the news of the day,
or of the week or of the year, and they
still went forward. Yeah, large step. But then understatement, I
just don't believe that America knows how to punish whiteness
on that level. How do you punish someone with that
much privilege, that much power, a former president, even though

(26:08):
I want them to do the right thing because you
have to make an example. How did anyone who was
part of the attempted to cool at this country. I
just won't believe they will until I see you. Well.
Donald Trump is also going to be testifying today under
oath really and the New York Attorney General's long running
civil investigation into his dealings as a real estate mogul.
And so you know, Letitia Jane Yes has been leading

(26:29):
this and it involves allegations at his company, the Trump Organization,
mistated the value of price assets like golf courses and
skyscrapers which misled lenders and tax authorities. And so Donald
Trump wrote on truth Social in New York City tonight,
seeing racist New York State Attorney General tomorrow for a
continuation of the greatest witch hunt in US history. My

(26:50):
great company and myself are being attacked from all sides.
Banana Republic the stoic public got to do with any
of this? Okay, you doesn't strike me as a Banana
Republic type of person. Okay, he's more Crumby and Fitch.
You think, so khakis and T shirts more? Yea, yeah,

(27:11):
I guess, I guess. No. Banana Republic is a country
with an economy of state capitalism, where the country is
operated as a private commercial enterprise for the crucial propert
of the ruling class. I was thinking maybe more old
Navy for him. Old Navy, yeah, with the gap and
old Navy. Yeah. I don't know why. Why Why is
banana the fruit that they associate with ruthlessness and corruption? Why?

(27:33):
I guess because it's the old banana and the tailpipe.
Oh okay, we're dropping a cluive box with Tis James.
I think that's why are you nothing funny. I don't
want hear nothing funny. You know what? You know what
v Since somebody in this room don't want to talk,
all right, well let's do a topic. Let's talk about
hold on before time? Topic like like you gotta stop playing?

(27:54):
Like I just got a text? Right, what's the text
for my dad? Your dad? My dad just texted me?
What's this? I read about the Breakfast Club being canceled?
So I said, where did you hear that we've been canceled?
Several times? He was like, it was on the news
on the iPhone? It said Angelie had made some comments
about the show. What news on the iPhone? I don't
know what is it? What is your dad trying to say?
Was it on y'all? Who news? They come up on
his phone? On y'all? What did he say? I don't

(28:14):
know how I can't pop up on his phone? You
got something to say? You want to respond to me first?
I want to respond to this because somebody just here.
I wonder if Angelie is going to be working from
home because she's pregnant. I'm not pregnant. How we know?
Why would this happen? What would that have to do
with the breakfast you know how you know, we don't know.
We don't know what's going on. I'm on my period

(28:34):
right now. We didn't need to know that, you know,
that is what I know. I did not need that.
So did that explain that? No, lepe, does that explain
the white party tonight? So it really matters ladies, you
know what I'm talking about when you wear something white
and then talking about that? So does that explain the
tweet last night? But my period? Yes? Period? Wow, it

(28:57):
does not. But um, we want to go with this
because she's not being honest. Well, Serena Williams has announced
her plans to retire from tennis. She said, the countdown
has begun. How do you know when it's time to
step away from something? You see you playing way too
much this morning? Angela tennis, I do play tennis. Okay,
that's the question. She said. I've never liked the word retirement.
It doesn't but it's an evolution, and so I agree

(29:19):
with her. I don't really like the word retirement. I
do like the word evolution. You know, we have to
think about that all the time. Yesterday somebody tweeted the
Breakfast Club, as you know, it is officially over that
somebody was Angela yee? Okay, Angelo LaTavia yee? The hell

(29:40):
is wrong with you? All right? But let's open up
the Patavia though, she's my makeup on the road. Evolution
is a beautiful thing when you know we should all
be evolving. We say when we know it's time to leave?
That what you're asking? What do you ask? I don't
know what you just said. I'm trying to and when
it's time to leave could be a job, a relationship
of friendship. How do you know when it's time? And

(30:01):
that at Lee on your shirt envy that says best
friends fever. Yes, it's not let me see what I
mean kidding. I don't know what's going on? Is I
didn't see the kids. I just saw two people, Madison,
My daughters came to me for Father's Day. They're not
doing the best friends, y'all? Really? Jackie Robinson, Okay, all

(30:25):
that's was the top of it, all right, Jackie Robins,
what's the question we're asking? Guys? I just asked it.
She's not playing. That's what she wanted. When is the
time to step away from a situation? Are you going
all the way with this? All? Right? Wow? Wow, eight
hundred five eight five one o five, on which she said, right,
maybe you're uncomfortable because your co workers are flirting with
each other and you're like, I can't take it anymore.
I could never take that. That that would just feel

(30:47):
so uncomfortable. Well, you know what, that's the breakfast clubs
club called eight hundred five eight five one oh five
wanted to join it to the discussion with the breakfast club,
talk about it morning. Everybody is cj Envy and jel yee.
Charlomagne the guy we are the breakfast Club, good morning?

(31:08):
Now if he just joined us, Serena Williams said that
she's I can't believe y'all need talking about Serena Willms
retiring but not talking about Angelie's tweet. But whatever, if
you just joined it us. Angelie tweeted last night God
is good all the time, and then after that she
tweeted the Breakfast Club as you know, it is officially over,

(31:28):
and still don't want to talk about it, but got
the nerve to say, hey, let's do a topic this morning.
And the topic is I mean, Serena Williams legendary right,
and she is deciding to step away from playing tennis.
She has an essay that was published by Vogue and
she said, I've never liked the word retirement. It doesn't
feel like a modern word to me. I've been thinking
this as a transition. But the word that she decided

(31:50):
to use to describe what she's doing is evolution. And
I'm here from that. I'm here for that. Well, if
you evolved from tennis, that means that you're going to
be like I don't know the head of tennis right on,
the owner of but she started Serena Ventors. It's a
venture capital firm, okay, And soon after that she said,
I started a family and I want to grow that family.
I think, yeah, that's the evolution to Serena Williams, though

(32:11):
not not Serena win with the tennis player. I get
what she's saying, though, But so what is the question.
So when do you know it's time to walk away
from something, whether it is your job, your relationship, a friendship,
How do you know it's time to walk away? You know,
and just go through the phone. Let's play angree Lee's
lotle Reindeer games this morning. Let's go through the falls,
not Christmas. Hello, who's this? Hey? What's up? This is

(32:34):
a dominant from nap Town. Hey, what's up? Nap Town?
What's going on? What's going on? How y'all doing this morning?
Blessed Black and Holly Favorite? How are you and confused
and confused? Yea, that's what's up. That's what's up. Listening.
Two things. The first one is it's definitely signed to
go when you got to muster up the curage to
go into the job. That's just personally, if it's a job.
I feel you when every day you wake up like

(32:56):
should I call out? Do I feel like doing this?
If you feel like you gotta call you feel like,
oh I gotta go deal with these people today. Anytime
you feel like that. If your energy is down every
single time, there's no reason to stick around bound. That's important.
We're better than a company. Go all to do what
you gotta do. If you get time to their real regulations,
policies and procedures, it is time to go. You experience

(33:18):
that she got a lot. She know what she said
is real? Energy is real? Right. I'm always cognizant of
who my energy goes up around, who my energy goes
down around. Here's your energy go up around? See what
I mean, who could work in this? Hello? Who's this? Hey? Jenetta?
Good morning, Good morning, Jenetta, good morning. How y'all doing?

(33:44):
How you doing? Let's black Holly Favor? When is it
time to move home? Mom My? Mama always told me basically,
when you are uncomfortable or don't want to be, to
go ahead and leave. But one thing also is whenever
your decisions not a just situation for you. That's true,
That's very That's interesting when people say, you know when

(34:06):
something makes you uncomfortable? Right, because sometimes people feel you
know what I mean, and and and the growth, the
growth comes into uncomfortability exactly because you can't go where
you help me stuff at all? You Okay, all right,
thank you mama, thank you? Okay, Angela V. Yeah, we
didn't go around the room. Yeah, but how do you

(34:28):
know when it's time to move on? I think we
should start with ye too. How do you know when
it's time to move on? Right now? How do you know?
I think sometimes it starts a line, you know, like
I said, God is good, and sometimes God is good,
God is great, Chick fil a is good time. But yes,

(34:51):
and so you know, sometimes there's what do you stop
playing with us? To tell us go to commercial envy.
But I thought this is a call of time, big
and y'all ain't say nothing was going on, all right.
I don't respond well to being spoken to like that.

(35:12):
You know what you were talking table, You were talking
to her kind of crazy. There was a lot of
bade rage and the way you were talking, you were spasing, Bro,
you got any more soothing? If you want me to
be able to say what I have to say, I
needed to be like you know, I need to feel comfortable,
not uncomfortable. We've been in this relationship for twelve years
almost almost thirteen thirteen in the symbol you know, it's
an unlucky number, it's actually a number of time. It's

(35:33):
a great number for me because January third is my birthday.
That's a one in a three thirteen. So maybe the
thirteen years and the one three means it's time. There's
been ups, there's been down numerology. So would you like to,
you know, get some things off your chest? Uh? Yes,
I would love to right after we finished taking these
calls on this topic, because I'm very respectful of what

(35:53):
it is that we have going on on the show
every morning. Okay, for now, all right, it's the breast
and your opinions to the breakfast club topic. One morning,

(36:15):
everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Sharlowe, n guy, we
are the breakfast club. If you just joined us, I'm confused.
If you just joined us, Angelie playing to that much,
I don't know what's going on. This is this topic?
Is her idea? What's the topic of ee um? The
topic is about Serena Williams. Okay. She she did an

(36:35):
essay that was published by Vogue and she talked about evolving,
moving on from tennis. She has not like the word retirement.
She's moving on and evolving away from tennis toward other
things that are important to her. Thank God. She has
so many other things going on in her life. She
has Serena Ventures, which is a venture capital firm. She
also started a family that she wants to grow. And

(36:56):
a lot of times I always tell y'all have them
multiple streams of income, had them other things going on,
so you can't evolve away. You have a lot of
different businesses are How do you feel about the word retirement.
I like the word evolved better. I agree with with Serena.
You know, we're never gonna stop doing things. It just
might be doing something different got you, and I think
it's always good when you're on a high. You know,

(37:19):
she just won like you walk away on a high.
You don't tell us we're going on. I'm a stripping
front of all. Y'all right now, okay, don't say nothing.
Shut up, so you might you know what, because this
man over here is always threatening people with a good time.
He always calling somebody bluff. Now, I don't want you
to say nothing. Ye. I want you to get naked. Hello,
that's better content. I want to see you get naked

(37:40):
this morning. I don't know what I want more for
Angeline to tell us what's going on, for you to
get naked. Maybe if we do it both? Hello? Who's this? Hello? Hello? Guys?
How you? Yes? How are you doing this? Michael Jackson'll
shove you at name? Could be Michael Jackson and everybody
playing this morning? Mike, what's happening? Okay, okay, okay, So

(38:03):
let me tell you who I am. I'm actually Michael Jackson,
shoo an artist. Now I've been doing it for seven years. Machine.
You sound just like when when do you know what time?
The moon walk on? Sir? Okay, So basically my performances
are sometimes thirty minutes suation of how he knows. So

(38:26):
when I was younger, Sir, you gotta use the Michael
Jackson voice. You're Michael Jackson the person that you have
to use the Michael Jackson voice. Okay. So when I
was younger, I had a lot of energy. But when
you get older, your heart is telling you you can
go on for a very long time. But your body
knows that you're as young as it used to be,
So you can't. Bro, what do you what do you

(38:48):
identify as? Bro? Michael Jackson, what do you identify as?
Identifies Michael Jackson. Huh. Well, also I'm from Nigeria. What
do you identify? Answer? What is your gender identity? Well,
I'm the same jenner you are my brother? He so
that's what you are. Yeah, So your body because you

(39:11):
can't move through it that when he was younger, okay,
pull on your body stiff, yes, yes, and he takes it.
You know, it takes exsert more energy when you get older. Basketball. Hey,
Michael Jackson, Michael, can you do the can you do
beat it for us? Right now? You need to tell
him beat it? Hang up? With him. No, he's saying

(39:32):
though his body is telling him it's time to move on. Oh,
he can't do the moves that he used to do.
What was your favorite son to do? Beat it? You
have to? Yes, Actually, I'm telling you guys. M J
deaf Machine checked me out on Instagram. Seven years I've
performed with Chris Brown. Okay, I'm gonna look at you
right now looking MJ dance Machine dancing. Yeah, J Machine?

(39:55):
One word? Did you go see MJA the musical? Nah?
I'm not gonna go see an an impersonator. I'm I can't.
I can't this morning. Yea, but it is man, you
can't do that part. Do that for me one time.
You don't really look like Michael. You look more like
Flex when he played Michael in the in the bio

(40:17):
pick back in the day. Well, if I was white,
it would be easier. But I do my own hair
and makeup. I can't this guy. I have a good morning. Man,
I can't. I can't. So what's the other story? I
don't know. This topic is going nowhere nowhere, no infact,
because Angelie don't want to tell us what the hell
is going on? Maybe maybe well, because I know people
are on their way to work and they want to

(40:38):
know what happened. And I sent out that tweet that
y'all did not retweet. So I was a little offended
back that will we retweet something that we don't know
nothing about. I don't know what was going I don't
even know what's going on to later later later, my
my accountant called me, My doctor called me, my my
attorney called me, my mechanic called me. Hit me my phone.
I'm like, I don't know what what y'all. I really
did not know if people are talking about I don't
know what's going on. But shout out to everybody who

(40:59):
hit me up who was genuinely concerned and not the
nosy people. Everybody just knows it already hit me. I
was like, I don't hit us all. I'm sure. So
what are you saying? Are you saying in rumor report
we're about to talk about it? Yeah? Are you gonna
talk about it in rumors? Well? Oh boy? Oh? I
go to the commercial. It's the Breakfast clum Morning. Everybody
is cj Envy, Angela, Ye, Charlomagne the guy, we are

(41:20):
the breakfast club. Yeah. I got ten minutes before I
gotta get the work, y'all. What are you talking about?
You gotta tell me what's going on now? A right,
aren't you at work now? Yeah, it's one of your jobs. Yeah,
but that's what this segment is about, telling you what's
going on. So you're about to tell us what that
to you was about. No, I'm gonna tell you what's
going on? Oh, oh my god, rumors, let's go. This

(41:44):
is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee on the Breakfast Club. Well,
Drink Champs has been having a lot of guests. Nor
called us all yesterday, right, Uh, he sent me. I'm
just realizing what the text meant. He just sent a
text and putting no way, I didn't know what the
all that was about. To now now I'm putting two
and two together out to you know. I'm gonna call
you right after the show. I'b sleep Bumby just called

(42:06):
me too. He did. What the hell y'all talking about?
He got us some trill Burgers. Neo is on Drink
Champs and one thing that he talked about. They've already
put this clip out and it's definitely gone viral. He
talked about iced Tea calling Coco over at party and
letting him squeeze her ass, I mean squeeze call Booty

(42:28):
ones like, respectfully, Yes it was, it was respectfully. It
was a Halloween party, right, And how does this work?
You had grab your wife's ass. I literally walked up
to him. Mind I'd had a couple of drinks at
this point, so I walked up to him and I
was like, bro, all due respect, I've wanted to squeeze
Coco's ask for a really long time. And he said,
you know what, And I'm just kind of pimp to
let you do it. And he called over and he

(42:48):
whispered something in her ear, and she looked at him
and smiled and looked at me a smile and turned
around and bent the thing over and I grabbed as
much of a handful as I could. He gave me
a pound, So he said. He spoke to Icedy and
he said, I always wanted to grab her ass. Yeah,
I don't care how many drinks you've had. You gotta

(43:10):
respect your job, all right. You can't walk up to
nobody's husband and tell that man, I always wanted to
grab your wife me And it will be tuughling even
even when you start that off respectfully. That's what you know.
We always say people say respect when they're about to
disrespect you. That's what that feel like. I ain't mad
at Iced Tea for the way he handled it, but
damn we jump there. I'm not gonna lie on lip service.

(43:32):
One time, Iced Tea and Cocoa were on this is
way way back in the day, and he definitely everybody.
He was like, everybody feel it. Just see that was
women though, right, Yeah, it was women. Yeah. Well, I'm
just telling y'all guys out there, nine out of ten
times that situation, they're gonna go like that walking up
to somebody husband talking about I always want to grab
your wife as you do. We'll be fine. We'd be tuchling.

(43:52):
Like Charlotage said, we check his joel pause. No, I'm not.
I'm gonna I'm letting my security shoot him. Let's shoot
him over that shot? And now what would you say?
And then you said you would check his jaw? Yeah,
definitely check him. Oh okay, all right, I'm not gonna
shoot nobody over that. You shoot all right, what are

(44:13):
you gonna shooting your Okay, tough guy, you you're gonna
shoot somebody. I didn't say me, I have to security
you and it. I'm not gonna say I'm gonna win,
but we're fighting. Oh, I know what you mean. And
you say check is y'all? Like, now you can't grab
my wife's after you do me first? I got you.
So you played too much? All right, I'm leaving that.
I'm leaving now speaking. I got a huge announcement in
a little bit, well tweeted out first tweeted out person.

(44:35):
All right, now, Ja Rule and a Fat Joe. There's
been some back and forth now because after they did
drink Champs right. Uh, Fat Joe had some things to
say about IRV Gotti called the massucker, and he also
had some things to say about Jah Rule for not
defending Ashanti during that interview. Well eerv Gotti has since
responded to Fat Joe. Here's what he said about Fat

(44:58):
Joe not really being his friend. Feel like he fooled me.
He stopped my friends. WHOA, I was fooled. But in
life you get fooled. But did you know what hit? What?
They want to say that, but in life forget forget
Joe because they don't want me to talk about you. Okay,
I'll talk about life, but you know what remains consistent
and why I get through all of this, why my

(45:20):
family right? And in life, everyone goes to friends, people
who you thought was your friends. People go through friends,
co workers. I would say that, I would say, in fact,
Fat Joe is his friend because friends tell you the truth,
you know, no matter what. And I know people would say, oh,
if that's really his friend. You might have said that
behind the scenes, but said what he said publicly. And

(45:41):
I haven't heard the whole drink Chance with herb. I
watched a lot as long. I watched a lot of it.
Didn't he coming, didn't he say? Didn't he has some
stuff coming about Fat Joe too. I'm not trivia, I'm
not sure. But Ashanti is Fat Joe's friend too, you
know what I mean? And Ashanti has done a lot
of sign together for a Joe. She comes pops out
on tour, gay all friends, they hang out with each other.

(46:01):
So if somebody disrespects his sister, he's gonna stick up
for you know, and you know Ja Rue also says
a Shanty is his sister right, Clearly, they've been working
together for a long time, have a friendship, and so
he posted, um stop saying I didn't defend sis and
all women when I clearly told God he stopped calling
a shanty women the B word, same way I told
Joe at Versus, watch the interview before you talk is

(46:23):
t leave me the f at these grown folks business.
That's true, m all right now. Erv Gotti also said
that he understands and he also spoke on taking the
baits as far as marketing and promotions. I know what's clickbait.
I know what's gonna make people activate. I know what's
gonna get to love, what's gonna get the hate. So one, yes,

(46:46):
I know that everything that you said to describe me
as the marketing genius that I am, you're one hundred
percent accurate. You nailed it right on that. But the
other part is I'm also a very honest and truthful person.
So I don't necessarily want to talk I don't want
to talk about it, shant I'm fine without talking about it.

(47:10):
But they always ask a question, they always lead me
to it, and me, stupidly, I take the bait. He
was drinking. But they're gonna have a conversation. They're gonna
have an aggressive conversation. I'm sure when I see each other.
Who Joe and Earth, that would be an amazing con.
I think they'll probably talk to each other first. Yeah,

(47:33):
I mean before they see each other. They both get
a very loud I've always said top three storytellers and
hip hop are are Fat Joe and IRV Gotti amazing storytellers,
the Coo and Soldier Boy. All right, enough with Alesha
nanigus Man. You don't want to hear the teas of
biance and the Isisley brothers. Say it again? Girl, you

(47:55):
want to hear this snippet that ron Isisley posted brom
want to know about the tweet last night Heart Radio? Yes,
all right, so shout out to that dam and Beyonce's
Breaking My Soul. It's number one on Billboard Hot one hundred.
So congratulates Drop on a Clue's box for Beyonce Das

(48:17):
posing in front of the elevator where the infamous ball
with Solange was Also they did a photo there that
was cute. We don't want to talk about it. We
need to bring some Lange here to beat it out
of you. Whatever you got the hell you got to say?
Why are a little violent? This morning? Shot? Some shot?
Somebody shot I've been here checking jaws. Y'all got to rely. No,

(48:39):
all right? So for real though, there is like a
press release that's gonna go out, so I gotta check
and make sure I can even say what I'm about.
Oh my god, it's gonna be angel if you don't
tell us what the hell is going on? I need
to know about this tweet. Okay, I don't you see
what this is? You know what this is. This is
a hot cup of tea. I have went and made
me one and I'm sitting here sipping it because I

(49:00):
want to hear what the hell is going on? You
need something? Okay? Because we all saw that tweet that
Angelie said last night, I could you stop? Did you stop?
Trying to be serious? I'm trying to be serious? Did
you stop? All right? Okay, Angelie sent out this tweet
last night? She did. I'm let me read the tweet please,
for people are just joining us, all right. The first,

(49:21):
the first tweet came out and said God is good.
What's wrong with that? I don't know why. Then the
second tweet says, the Breakfast Club, as you know it
is officially over. What that mean? That's a fact. I
got forty thousand, like twenty two thousand retweets and four
thousand questions. By the way, there's some people who hate
us out there. You can ask of course there you

(49:42):
can ask questions on it. There's a question stap well
if you they were responding like, hey, what what are
you talking? So then we talked about evolution this morning,
So what are you gonna do? Say? I'm not saying
another word. There will be no Donkey to Daylie. We're
gonna turn when Donkey to Day comes four after the hour,
gonna turn the microphones on and I'm gonna sit here
in silence and tell Angelie, Uh, tell them what the hell?

(50:04):
Tell us what the hell happened? We might never tell.
So watch when we come back, y'all here there are Angelier.
Will I guess respond or elaborate on what she tweeted
last night? God is good. We'll talk about it. Your
mornings will never be the same. When it's time to
get with someone special, the best way to do it

(50:25):
is with magnum large size condoms. That gold foil rapper
is a badge of honor, and it means you're protected
and you take care of things with comfort. Accept no
substitute bring the pleasure with the gold standard Magnum large
sized condoms. Don't be out here acting like a donkey.
Ain't no donkey bay. Turn the damn donkey intro off.

(50:47):
Ain't no donkey Okay, I ain't talking to you, I said, Bige,
like babe, ain't no donkey bay whatever. Listen, my phone
blowing up all last night, people texting me, calling me.
I don't know what's going on. They're sending me tweets.
Don't even know if it's a real tweet or not.
What the hell is happening. I'm not saying another word
until Angela tells us what the tweet was about last night?

(51:07):
Anybody you want to tell them what the tweet was?
All right? As I talk to my teeth, was I
talk to my teeth right now? The tweet was God
is great? Man stop? God is great? Well? God, Yes,
God is great, God is beyond great. The other the
other tweet, she said, the Breakfast Club, as you know,
it is officially over the floor, is yours? Angela? All right?

(51:28):
So yeah, so this is really exciting. But this is
something that I've been wanting to do for years now,
since way before the pandemic. Um I had actually sat
down with our big boss, THEA, and I was telling
her like, look, I really want to have my own show.
You know, I had my podcast lip Service, and I
was thinking I would be able to get something like

(51:49):
a weekend situation, you know, one day, ease into having
my own show again. I did come from serious where
I had The Morning After with Angela ye, and then
came here and and so it's always been a goal
of mine to have that, and so I thought I
would still be on here and then do that show
as well. But um years later, they approached me up

(52:09):
here at iHeart THEA how to sit down with me
and tell me that they are going to give me
my very own show. And so part of that is
I wasn't sure what was happening when you first told me.
But I am going to be leaving the Breakfast Club.
You guys obviously will continue on and you know it'll
be a different iteration of the Breakfast Club, but I

(52:30):
will have my own show up here at I Heeart
as well. So I'll do like a daily show, yes,
like a daily show, yes, a nationally syndicated daily show.
And lip Service and my podcast lips. Would you like
how to do it. What I'm asking questions finished, waiting
to ask questions all night. You right, that's the problem.

(52:52):
So it is really exciting. I mean, I really honestly
can't believe it. I know it took a long time
to make this happen. So I want to thank everybody
at high Heart, but of course, mostly I really want
to think first and foremost the listeners who are part
of our Breakfast Club family. We've been doing this for
twelve years now, and so this is just a tremendous opportunity.

(53:13):
I feel extremely grateful, extremely blessed to be able to
get something that you know, is really monumental up here,
because you know, as far as having a naturally syndicated
show and somebody in my position, a woman, a black
woman up here, I don't know. I mean, it's a

(53:34):
it's a rarity, and it's a great opportunity, and it's
not something that I take lightly. So I'm really excited. Now.
I'm still gonna be here on the Breakfast Club until
everything gets worked out. I don't know where the show
is exactly gonna be aired. I know definitely New York, okay,
of course, so I'll be here. This is my home base.
But yeah, and I'm not exactly sure when it's starting.

(53:56):
I just know it's in the fall. Sometimes on the
next couple of months. You will be starting your own
syndicated show. Yes, with the things that you do, so
you'll be doing interviews, you'll be doing your room as
we'll be doing asking, You'll be doing everything that you
do times ten. Yes, I'll be basically carrating my own congratulate.
I am extremely happy for dropping a Cui BONB for

(54:19):
angel League. I am extremely happy for ANGELI and I
am extremely happy for the culture radio because y'all know
behind the scenes how much I've screamed that radio is
taking the personality out of radio. So we aren't building
radio stars anymore. But now in twenty twenty two, when
you have a radio star, multi media platform star like
angela Ye, the fact that you're getting two nationally syndicated

(54:40):
radio shows, that's a big deal. Dropping a clues BONB
for angela Ye. So the breakfast club is not going anywhere,
Angela Yee is not going anywhere. Did you tell them they, Oh, no,
I'm going somewhere. But I mean, you tell them the
time slides. You'll be nationally syndicated the show. I don't
want to give away to much because I don't know

(55:00):
exactly all the details. Okay, okay, oh you right, damn yeah,
I don't want to give away too much. Shut up.
I don't know all the details, but I know in
the great words of Ourn the moot set up. Oh god,
So if you confuse about what I'm saying, listen very carefully.
I quit this bit. First of all, the Angel Show

(55:21):
and lip Service podcast being naturally syndicated is huge. Yes,
you know, not just for the culture radio, but for podcasts.
That's major. That's bigly. And you know, this is what
our thirteenth fie ever, going into our thirteenth year of
doing the Breakfast Club. Thirteen is a number that brings
good luck and prosperity to those who embrace it, and
the number thirteen brings about change, which can often lead
to a positive outlook. So so that's thirteen, today's ten. No, no, no, no,

(55:48):
we're not doing that. No no, no, no no, no
no no no, we're not playing to We're not doing it.
We're not doing it. You're not doing that, And FI,
can we say something else? No? No, of course we
knew this was happening. That tweet last night was absolutely planned. Okay,
y'all know Angelie would never move unprofessional like that, right,
you would never do that. That was what we call

(56:10):
planned communication because we know how much y'all love perceived
bad news and trust we have enjoyed watching see who
is gonna be on there talking crazy? I knew it's over.
So the Breakfast Club is not going anywhere. Elie has
her own show. Were thankful for her, with great for her.
We're all excited. You've enjoyed watching all y'all lame ass

(56:31):
theories and lies a lot. Now I want y'all to
run and spread the news that Angelie is leaving the
Breakfast Club, but she now has two nationally syndicated shows
of her own. Okay, right, So and she will be
actually said, she'll be here until I guess what at
the end of the year. I don't know. We don't know. Yeah,
we don't even know, Like all of those details still

(56:52):
have to be worked out. But listen, I've been playing
in segments for my show and everything. So I'm really
excited for it, and so and you deserved it be
celebrated for the next few months or the rest of
the year. You need that farewell tour, just like when
you know the great retired from their teams and they
announced this gonna be last year. That's right, this is
a run. You deserve that farewell toward the way way,

(57:13):
it'd be like, she's still here, well, but you're gonna
you deserve that farewell absolutely well. Let's open up the
phone lines. You want to talk to easy eight hundred
five A five one on five one. So if he
just joined us, ANGELI just announced that she is leaving
the breakfast club. Now, it's not my last day, it's
not her last day. She'll be here a little She'll
be at least at the end of the year. I
would think, Well, she didn't say that. I don't know
why I'm talking about. Why are you talking down and

(57:42):
tail Friday? Yeah, but you deserve to farewell to. You
deserve to be celebrated for the next however many months,
I can do that from ter and celebrating. She didn't
say the end of the year, but she would be
here for the next couple of So if you want
to highlight a eight hundred five, A five one on
five is a boss. I mean, this just adds to
your portfolio. Right, that's right. Yeah, man, I'm really really like,

(58:05):
I can't even believe. It feels unreal to me to
have such a tremendous opportunity and I'm I'm so excited
for it and energized, so I'm happy once again. Angela
Yee is uh, she's leaving the Breakfast Club, but she
has her own show. She has two new shows with
Super Duper Proud Of or Drop a Bomb Against Amazing Man,
two nationally syndicated shows. iHeart Radio Premiere. That's right, network, alright,

(58:29):
I don't think if there any other black woman with
a nationally syndicated show up prier No MacGuire of course,
but she's not shot Dallas. But other than that, I
don't think so. But anyway, let's take some calls. Eight
hundred five eight five one five one's to Brekfast Club.
Good Morning, the Breakfast Club Morning. Everybody is DJ Envy,

(58:50):
Angela Yee, Charlomagne, the guy. We are the Breakfast Club.
If you just joined it, if you just joined us.
That she is leaving the Breakfast Club she had. That's
her own syndicated show that she's about to start very shortly. Oh,
I just got this press release. This press release says
influential media personality Angelie Yee is launching her own new
on air show, Way Up with Angelie Yee. The midday

(59:13):
show will be syndicated by Premier Networks and launch across
thirty plus iHeartMedia stations including New York Power one oh
five one, WWRP and WR What I Said You Said,
w RP, PR Man We'll forgive Me. And with the
launch of Way Up with Angela Ye, Ye will depart
The Breakfast Club this fall. And additionally, Ye's highly popular

(59:35):
lip service podcast, where she and her girlfriends discuss intimacy, sex,
and relationships with the highest stars in hip hop and
R and B, will also soon be available through the
iHeart Podcast Network and Premier Networks. So as soon as
the Breakfast Club is all, Angelie starts right on. So
it's gonna be eight eight hours of all of us. Yes, yes,

(59:56):
But the moral of the story of Angelie is ava
having from the Breakfast Club the launch too nationally syndicated
radio show. Correct, I'll be heading up my own show.
Y'all want to know? It's called Way Up at Angela Ye? Why? Why? Okay?
So I still feel like I'm on the way up.
So that's part of the reason why right now you
already humble. But I'm way up from where I used
to be in where I started. But y'all gonna be

(01:00:18):
up super early, and by the time I get up,
I'll be way up, so I could get more sleep
than y'all. So basically, in a lot of these markets,
it'll be the breakfast club in the morning whatever, because
I'm I'm about to send me a tweet out, it's
gonna be the breakfast club in the morning, and then
Angelie way up with ANGELI comes on after breakfast club
in thirty markets, correct, right, so it's eight hours of us.
That's a wind on thirty plus it's more than thirty, Okay,

(01:00:45):
so that's a minimal. I just want to be clear.
Thirty station minimal, minimal. All right, let's congratulations, Thank you
so much, gratulations an understatement. Let's go to the phone lines.
People want to talk to you. Hello, who's this yo?
What's the word? Man is mellow? Mellow? Mello? Mellow? Did
you find that woman who stole that wig out my

(01:01:05):
store in Detroit? Yo? I'm not even going to older.
I got my ears to the streets and there's been
a lot of people lie you, but I'm not going
to We're not talking about her little igny and adds
right now. I'm gonna let you know that I'm so
proud of you. And you collect blessings the same way
Drake collect platinum albums. But I'm like you are synonymous
with black experence man, and I was nothing but the
best of your year. Thank you, Mellow. I appreciate you.

(01:01:27):
I need you to do a song for me since
you sing. Mellow said he was upset he wanted to
do the Breakfast Club interview before you left, so he's
kind of at the time. Yeah, y'all gotta tell the
I don't know, I don't know how much times that
making up date and time you really media. She's not
rocking out to the yard. It's August, so September. I

(01:01:47):

I think ninety days is appropriate, right. You can't tell
her what's the program? That's true? Hello? Who's this? Hello? Hello?
Who this Hey? How you doing? My name is Robert
from Brooklyn, Brooklyn. Hey. I just want to say, well,
Braum a bit of big fan since the beginning. Um,

(01:02:09):
the only question that has your new show is gonna
be on the radio five, it's gonna be yes, let's
still be on Power when I'll still be on Power one?
Breakfast you here, No, it's not everywhere. I mean like
when the show starts, like it's gonna be like after yes, yeah,
oh nice, Okay, I can't wait. It's actually a really
positive thing for everybody. Absolutely definitely. I can't wait. And

(01:02:32):
side bar my birthdays generation the first I kind of
get the whole one three three one, Well three one
is not one three. I'm okay. I don't know why
they be acting like it's unlucky. I don't know either.
For people who embrace it, it brings good luck and prosperity.
It's a number of change, and it can often lead

(01:02:53):
to a positive outlook. So that's you know this, We're
going into the thirteenth year of breakfast clubs, So to me,
it just all makes sense. Hello, who's that? This is Charlene, Hey, Charlene,
good morning, Good morning. I just want to say congratulations
and Angela, I'm very severything year about it. Thank you.
I'm really really sad because I'm a hallmative, but I

(01:03:13):
live here in North Carolina, and I listened to you
guys to help set my moment for today, and I'm
gonna miss that. I don't expect it to stay the same,
and I know that n being Charlomagne was a really
great job, but I'm gonna miss the dynamic. But do
every guys, you guys just like you guys are nothing
to compete apparances, I'm gonna miss it. A congratulation to you,

(01:03:35):
but they're definitely gonna have some type of buffer in here,
and said that, Yeah, it ain't gonna be just me
and me on top of a long Yeah, I'm not
even thinking about that. I know for a fact. I
know for a fact that ain't happening in ninety days. No,
we're going We're going row for ninety days, well for
a long time, no vasline, that's right, ain't gonna be
nothing between us. Man. The woman doing ANGELI shot out

(01:04:00):
my field Destiny who by the way, it's from Harlem
and be in North Carolina all the time. So she
was excited. Charlie, you're not even gonna pause, No, you're
just gonna let it fly goodness five one o five
one ye just announced she is leaving the Breakfast Club,
but she has her own show that's coming on after
the Breakfast Club. It's syndicated and thirty plus markets. Thirty
plus markets. Way Up, that's right, so call it up.

(01:04:24):
A lot of people on the lines want to talk

I'm just excited for y'all. Man, I'm excited for you.
You know. She she's getting in a position to do
something something women, to interview some of the greatest women.
But still I'm trying to hold women back. Bro. I'm
not gonna lie. That wouldn't make that wouldn't make anybody

(01:06:19):
stay bro nothing, I'm staying. Thank you do something great,
guaranty do something amazing thing. You know, it's just glorate
like have her whole show of her own platform to
interview great people, not even just women, like great people
would do her own things. And but it's like you

(01:06:42):
say this to me, ball and for everybody out there
that's always going to Angeli to work for work at
different jobs, whether it's her coffee shop or the juice bar.
Now you got another place for her to ask the
work out because you're gonna need a staff here. Absolutely,
now that the news is that we can start working
on that. Yep, Hello, who's this? Good morning? Good morning?

(01:07:03):
Hey Chelsea high that easy? Hey, So I'm gonna be
sending her my medical bill for the anxiety attack that
she gave me. Oh my gosh, you were anxious. I'm happy,
very very because I called in and I was like,
oh my gosh, something's gonna happen to the show. And
you guys like at least making a long clock for

(01:07:24):
the morning. Yo yo yo, still bade this is really bad.
That tweet got y'all going last night. Oh that was
fun to watch, so excited. I knew it it's gonna
be over. Some people were upset because they love the show.
We love y'all. Who um three and Earlian thing. I
was like, I'm leading between the lines. It's probably about her,

(01:07:46):
and apologies to all our family and friends we had
to lie to. Yeah, I definitely couldn't answered my phone,
and there were some people hitting me up that I would.
I was like, man, I really want to say something.
I could tell anybody. I didn't feel bad about nobody
except for Gepan. Yeahthing, He's didn't even hit me. He
didn't know. Oh yeah, he text He called me and
I didn't pick up. I'm like, damn, yeah, you know

(01:08:08):
what I mean. And then he texts me and he
was like, bro, you gotta call me back. Joe Koy
hit me. I was like, man, he was really upset. Yeah,
I mean so many people, Mari, I wanted to talk
to Nori, Gail King traded truth. So many people hit
me yesterday in this music space, and I just couldn't
hit anybody back. But you know now, so congratulations again
to Angela year. If you just tuned in, Angela is

(01:08:30):
leaving the Breakfast Club, not today, She's gonna be here
until the fall. So we don't know. I don't know
pteicular date. We I don't know what markets. You know,
none of that has been disclosed yet, but yes, Way
Up with Angela yeard. It actually comes off as a
spinoff of the Breakfast Club, so it comes on right
after the Breakfast Club. We're happy, We're super support. I
also loved the acronym of Way Up with Angela yee
because you know I started off working with Woo Tang

(01:08:51):
says Woo way oh wow wow wow. Yes, that was
my first job ever. Like I got on my Woo
were stuff today you know it's Woo Wednesday, So I
got full circle moment. And like she said, we don't
know when the exact days. He's gonna be the fall probably,
but you know we're going to celebrate her. She she's
going to get a farewell tour, you know what I mean,
because she deserves were working drive. But no, this is big,

(01:09:16):
like you know, for for for Angelio evolve from the
Breakfast Club and launched two nationally syndicated shows, Way Up
with Angelie and thirty plus markets lip Service podcast going national.
That is beyond big, huge, major, big, lee, whatever you
want to call it. So congratulations to Angela LaTavia. Stop
making up middle names, all right, but when we come,

(01:09:38):
we got more rooms any anything else you want to
talk about Shade Room just reported that Angelie is leaving
the Breakfast Club to have her own daily show later
this year. They're on it. They got the press release.
I'm sure go out. It goes out in nine Okay,
all right, well, rumors on the way. It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning, the Breakfast Club, Breakfast Club. Let's get to

(01:10:01):
the rumors. Let's talk Kodak Black Listen, all right, stand
Ohler gods reports it's Breakfast Club. All right, but Kodak Black,
Wizama Speedy Mormon on Spotify's back Caviat and one thing
that he talked about was his bond with Kendrick Lamar.

(01:10:22):
It's not just about music. Here's what he had to say, Man,
Kender we got a lot of little things like comment
that people probably don't want to understand. How he understand
me beyond and what the internet theories. You know, It's
like he got a different procession than me. He ain't
count that he said we're gonna do something. We're doing. No,
Ken you a friend of Screech for real too. Out
a lot of love for him putting me on man,

(01:10:44):
he genuinely want to sit win for show and I
appreciate him for trusting me with his his album. He
ain't got to do none of that. I love that parent.
And you know, me and Little Duval, we always talk about,
you know how Kodak black lyrically is is dad with Kendrick,
You know what I mean. I know, people that sounds
crazy to say, but if you listen to Code that

(01:11:05):
he says a lot of things of socially redeeming value,
just like Kendrick Doll. They just got two different approaches.
They're like the Yin and the yang of street rap,
you know what I mean. And I just yeah, I
know people don't look at Kendrick saying street rap, but
he does represent that good kid from the Mad City
like he like he's always told us, I love that parent.
I loved them together. All right. Now, let's talk about

(01:11:25):
Vega Mensa. Congratulations to him. He has his new cannabis company.
It's called ninety three Boys. It'll be the first black
owned cannabis company in the state of Illinois. So congratulations
to him. He said. The brand's mission is to reinvest
in the communities and individuals that happen historically and disproportionately
affected by outdated laws. Prejudices and assumptions regarding cannabis consumption.

(01:11:48):
Vic Mensa wrote in the release, selling weed was my
first hustle. It taught me work, ethic, entrepreneurship, and funded
all of my first music projects. As someone with a
lifelong experience of anxiety and depression, it's amazing to be
able to help facing those and other issues while working
with something I love. Yeah. Absolutely, I'm glad he got
his license, and I'm glad he's gonna give so many
people jobs. So that's a great thing for Chicago. And

(01:12:09):
I love the fact that he's looking at plant based
medicine from that perspective, because that's that's the reason I
do my indigram for my anxiety. All Right, And the
headline on Forbes says, rapper Vic Mensa launches his own
cannabis brand before I ever sold a rap, I sold
an eighth all right. Megan Nastallion shout out to her
as she is gearing up for her release, and she

(01:12:31):
dropped a new freestyle for La Leakers. Here she is
rapping over Regulate and right she said that label hates
her and her stuff always leaks on Instagram as well,
So she said at this point invite the hotties to
the studio and shoots, and she added on Twitter, why
continue to choose peace when everyone else choosing violence? You guys,
I mean, she's been going through it. And she also

(01:12:52):
did share a dramatic funeral teaser for her Trauma zine.
According to Hot New hip Hop, she said, it's almost
that time and so shout out to her traumazine. All right,
I'm Angela Yee and that is your rumor report. All right,
thank you, miss Yee. Let's get to the People's Choice mix.
Eight hundred five eight five, one oh five one. Don't move,
It's to Breakfast Club. Good morning morning, everybody in cj Envy,

(01:13:14):
