Speaker 1 (00:00):
I I'm figuring it out for some reason that the
solid holding down the bag rage. Let me add today
the breakfast club. Everyone just kept telling the prepen one word.
Did you describe the breakfast club with the bottle impacting
the coach? People watch the breakfast Club for like news
and really be tuned in. Man, I don't even know
what to call it the breakfast club. It's like brunch

(00:21):
nb Yea and Cholomagne. Wake that ass up, get out
of bed and listen to the breakfast Club. I'm waiting
good morning, usc yo yo yo yo yo yo yo

(00:43):
yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo
yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo
yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo, Good morning,
angela ye good Monday. Cholomagne, the guy peace to planning
to guess what day it is? Guess what day it is?
Ha ha hahah. Now yeah, since Wednesday, hump day, good morning,
and today's the first day I could actually uh like

(01:06):
breathe clearly since the last five days. I'm a little congested,
but I could breathe. Look, I could breathe a little.
Don't breathe too much in here. We don't want those
germs circulating around. Yeah, I had the common cold. Did
you come in and be around people with a cold? Still? Like,
don't they tell you if you have a cold, stay
home because then you can get everybody else sick? Hey, dude,

(01:27):
But I mean for the last day they do. But
I mean since I've been alive. You have a cold,
you come to work like it is what it is,
since you've been alive. Yes, I've been told that if
you have a cold, is rude to come in and
spread it to everything that's recently. They saw to that
because of cold that is not recent. That is if
you have the flu. If you're sick, if you have
a cold, you've been here before, sick you have? Now

(01:48):
I haven't, does you have? That's a lot. You've been
here before, six I've been here before. Charlemagne's been here before,
sick before before COVID. Yes. Absolutely. Now, if I'm sick,
I take a day off. That is not true. People
go to work when they're sick. Guys, if you're sick,
don't go to work. Okay, y'all have sick days for
a reason. Well, I'm not sick now, so because you
could get everybody else sick. Yeah, somebody got me sick,
so you want to just spread it? That's around. Wow,

(02:10):
that's a terrible way to time. It actually sounds like
a crime. Does sound like a crime? Right? Passing around? Yeah? So,
um yeah, I feel good now I finally I woke
up and I can actually bring Oh now you're gonna
now you're not coming in. I'm gonna be here. Yeah,
So I feel I feel much better. I've been planning
this car show, so I had to take a trip
to Atlantic City. Shout to Atlantic City out in New Jersey.

(02:32):
You got all of them sick. Maybe I've been playing
in the car show, which is August twenty. It's the
North versus South. So shout to all the brothers out
in Houston and Atlanta and Texas that's bringing their cars down.
It's gonna be a great show. So I know New York,
New Jersey, Connecticut, Philly, Maryland, DC. We're all bringing up
out cars. And there's a lot of Southern boys bringing

(02:53):
up their cars. There's gonna be a lot of fun,
family fun day. I got so many people's cars from
meet Mill to a little Oozy to fact Chow fabulous, Uh,
just to name a few. So fifty cent and of
course it's gonna be our family fun day, so we
have rides for the kids, games for the kids, all
types of roller skating rink and BMX bikes are gonna
be doing trick. Shout the Monster for that, Shout the

(03:15):
Lincoln Tech for sponsoring. So I'm so excited for that.
So if you haven't got your tickets, August twentieth and
kids five in under a free. So if you've got
small kids, bring them on through his gaming trucks. We're
gonna have a lot of fun that day, all right.
And exactly a week later it's gonna be my Angela
Yee Day in Brooklyn. So yeah, we'll have more details
on that soon as soon as I heard says okay,

(03:36):
you can release everything. Okay, all right, Well this morning
Kevin Gates will be joining us. He's been in the
news recently for a lot of things he's been talking about,
but he does have an album out. I was gonna
say that as a new album out. He does it?
Did Kasia please Karsia please? Yes? And he's been you're
gonna talk to him. Kevin Gates is a good brother,
good good good, good good brother. Then he did that freestyle.

(03:58):
Then everybody was talking about yeah as well. Yeah, and
then they had the intro on the album It's very real. Yeah.
So we're gonna be kicking in with Kevin Gates a
little bit and we got front page news. What we're
talking about? All right, Well, the NFL has suspended the
Miami Dolphins owner and has stripped that team of draft picks.
We'll tell you why. Goodness gracious, all right, Charlomagne, all
being in here in a minute, and it's a breakfast club,

(04:19):
go morning morning. Everybody is cej envy angela. Ye, Charlomagne,
the guy we are to breakfast club is getting some
front page news where were starting easy? All right, Well,
experts are saying to start booking your things, giving and
Christmas flights now, even though there's been a lot of
chaos and cancelations. They said that the best time to
book holiday travel is in June and July, although it's

(04:41):
not too late now to get a deal before prices spike.
The earlier you book, the better year chances are of
also getting a non stop early morning flight, because you know,
when we go on vacation, you went that early morning flight.
Because you want to get that full day that you
pay for at whatever hotel or resort that you're staying at.
So flights early in the morning are also a lot
less likely to be canceled then those in the afternoon

(05:02):
or in the evening. And also having in an itinerary
with no connections increases your odds of not getting a
cancelation or delay. Yeah, tell anybody if they have somewhere
to go and they can afford it. I would leave
the day before because flights have been canceling like crazy.
Like the other day, I was supposed to come back
here from Charlotte and flight was canceled late at night,

(05:23):
and then you stuck. You're stuck at the hotel. You're
stuck trying to figure out where you can go. I
had to call ye one time and ask you what
hotel I can stay with stay with, and she was like, oh,
you know, there's a hotel connected to the airport and
but yeah, but it's been crazy out there for flights.
So if you can give yourself a little a day extra,
if you can, right, So they're saying now for thingsgiving
in particular, you should book your flights by late August

(05:44):
or early September at the latest. After Halloween, those prices
are going to increase considerably. And if you have a
credit card, which I'm not good at. If you have
a credit card, there's so many different things that credit
cards arefer you, whether it's points, whether it's extended stays
and things like that. I gotta get up on that.
You know that. Yeah, I know, but I'm not. He's like,
you know, because I told you. I was like, look,

(06:04):
we got these points, and I get I actually use
I have one credit card that is specific for Delta,
and then I use those points at the end of
the year to book my you know, for my end
of the year trip. Yeah, somebody else told me they
do that, and I was like, it's like a free
trip at the end of the year that accumulates throughout
the year from all the flights and things that you take. It.
So like, nice, hey, here's a little treat to myself.

(06:25):
And if you have like a master card to Discover
sometimes when you use it, they'll actually give you points
towards your next trip. So if you buy a trip,
let's see a trip as a thousand, now, let's they
give you back five hundred. So it's almost like you
only pay five hundred for the trip. I just gotta
figure it out. I don't know that much about it though.
And then my Delta card also gives you a free
companion pass, so if you buy whatever class, whatever flights
you buy, you can get us and domestically you can

(06:47):
get another flight for whoever on that same exact itinerary
for free once a year got you, which is really great.
And I also use Expedia, and all the points add up,
so when I book hotels, I get points, and then
at some point I get free hotel because I have
so many points. Yeah, I gotta get him on most
point game, all right now. The NFL hash tripp the
Miami Dolphins of two draft picks and also spent suspended

(07:07):
and find the owners Stephen Ross, after a probe into
allegations of tampering and tanking, found that his team had
impermissible contact with Tom Brady and the agent of former
Saints coach Sean Payton, so that investigation determined that they
had violated anti tampering rules on three occasions. The NFL
did announce this in a news release yesterday. They found

(07:28):
the team did not intentionally lose games, which is known
as tanking, but noted that Ross repeatedly suggested that they
should prioritize their draft position over winning games during the
twenty nineteen season, so they have to forfeit their first
round pick in the twenty twenty three draft and a
third round pick in the twenty twenty four draft. Ross
is also suspended through October seventeenth, six games into the

(07:49):
twenty twenty two season, and has been fined one point
five million dollars. Now. He did release a statement on
the Miami Dolphins Turtter account. He said, with regards to tampering,
I strongly disagree with the conclusions and punishment. However, I
will accept the outcome because the most important thing is
that there be no distractions for our team as we
begin in exciting and the winning season. I will not
allow anything to get in the way of that. All right,

(08:13):
all right, well that is your front page news. Get
it off your chest eight hundred five eight five one
five on one. If you need to vent phone lines
or wide open again eight hundred five eight five one
on five one, get it off your chest. It's the
breakfast club. Go on in the breakfast club. This is

(08:34):
your time to get it off your chests. Whether you're
man or blast, so we better have the same in.
We want to hear from you on the breakfast club. Hello,
who's this? You know what's en? See what's up? Get
it off your chest? Man? I just won't get off
my chest is knowing? Why? Man? Like? What? Everything gotta be? You? Yeah? You,

(09:00):
I'm ill in you. I don't want with Caribbean food,
but if you know like Caribbean food. Yeah, he's mad
that you don't eat coach lawyer. You're mad I don't
eat CoA slaws. That's what he's man. I'm not man,
But why is it gotta be? It's disgusting. It's the score.
I gotta be discussing as it's disgusting to me. She
don't like it? Do you eat booty? I'm not gonna lie.

(09:22):
That's why you don't eat Caribbean food. You don't like
you're making food but beauty. I mean you sound crazy?
You sound crazy? You sound you I don't I don't
walk with it, but I don't think you don't rock
with no Caribbean food, chicken, no oxtail, no jerk chicken,
zocking line. And I loved you making for currey chicken.
That's cool. We don't rock with it for really. You
know what's crazy? Caribbean like, well, I just eat coach lawd.

(09:45):
Caribbean food is a lot like suffering food though it's
like very very hardy, you know what I mean. Like
it's very hardy. A lot of proteins, a lot of cards,
a lot of sauce. That's my favorite food. Absolutely. Hello,
who's this come morning? This is Victoria. Hey, Victoria, get
it off your chest. Um, I just wanted to come
on here, um to promote my dad's go fund go

(10:07):
fund me for his memorial. He passed away on the
seventeenth of this month. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, queen. Yeah,
I'm just trying to um. Well, so I'm sorry. I'm
trying to describe. So he passed away from LS and
his money that he had and his four one k

(10:28):
is being tied up with his creditors and so far
his medical bills outweigh his um what he has in
the bank account, and the funeral home was so nice
and such a busting to um, go ahead and bury
my father. However, they're gonna want their money soon. So um,
I've raised over a thousand so far, So I'm just

(10:50):
trying to put my cash ap um the funeral home
fame and go fund me to anybody out there who
wants to donate to a good call. How much do
you own? Well, the funeral is UM a little over
thirteen thousand, so I have maybe twelve left. Okay, Let's
get the cash app and the go find Okay, So

(11:14):

thank you, thank you. I'm sorry for your loss again.

(11:35):
All right, Please you guys hop her out. She's got
twelve thousand dollars to go, all right. You know the
crazy thing about it and the sad thing about it
is we need to have more conversations about wills and
and death so if something does happen, we know what
to do. This is conversation that my mom's been having
for me for twenty years, which is crazy. Like you know,
my mom laid it out so if something happens, I

(11:55):
know exactly what to do where the money is, how
to pull the money, how to make sure I get
the money, my kids to get the money. And these
are more conversations we need to have. It's all about information, man,
you know what I mean. People can't do what they
don't know. You're right. And then and the other thing is,
you know if you do have debt. And this is
something that I've had to tell people. Sometimes you want
to just say, I forget about it. I'll never have
the money to pay off these credit cards or whatever.

(12:17):
Somebody's gonna have to pay it also, so it doesn't
just go away. That's what I was having a conversation
with some family members about eight hundred five eight five
one oh five want to hit us up right now?
Get it off your chests as the Breakfast Local Morning,

(12:38):

city of Detroit, okay, And and I'm a female and
I'm tired of bast telling me that women have no

(13:21):
business in the construction field. We need to be in
the kitchen or in the office. Wow, I told them,
And I told them just like this, don't get married
because I can do this job better than you and
still look good. I know that's right. I can't believe
people still think like that in twenty twenty two. And
don't go anywhere. I need to put you on hold
because there's there's been a lot of people calling me
for construction in Detroit and the fact that you are

(13:43):

(14:26):

I got a chance to show that single fathers can
do things too. That congratulations on winning custody. Were you from, brother,
I'm from DC DC. We feel like driving to my
car show August twenty of bringing the kids on me.

(14:48):

and two. Oh so they're close to my kids A
so good. So my kids will have some new friends.
So bring the kids, come on down this game in
his rides and all types of fun things, cool cars.

(15:08):
So I'm gonna put you on hold. I'm gonna get
your information and we'll get you some tickets and come
on down. I'm ring the kids, bring the families. I
appreciate that. I bring your moms or whoever that helps

that day. Okay, all right, hold on, brom okay, get
it off your chests. Eight hundred five eight five, one
oh five one. If you need to vent, you can
hit this up now. We got rumors on the way, yes,
and looks like about Blue Face and Chrishan his girlfriend.

(15:31):
They got into a fight in the streets of Hollywood.
What is next for them? That relationship is so toxic.
We'll talk about it next. It is the Breakfast Club
going on the Breakfast Club very limited time offer terms
apply power and Angela Ye and Charlomagne the God, She's

(15:56):
filling the team. This is the rumor report with Angela
on the Breakfast Club. All right, well, Promunters have canceled
blue faces upcoming boxing match after this footage has emerged
of him getting into an altercation with his girlfriend Kreshn
rock Now. They were captured on video passed by actually

(16:17):
was filming the whole situation. They were getting into a
physical fight on the streets of Hollywood. This was early
this morning, yesterday morning, and a source within the LAPD
confirms that they have started a preliminary investigation into the altercation.
So we don't know whether or not they're going to
press charges against each other. But here is a blue

(16:38):
face actually offering Kreshn money to just leave him a
nice little shinerously she's fine, so cud, but you need
to leave me. Yeah, one hundred thousand viral. Now, come on,
you're going to beat me up in publicly, all right?
She said she does not want to leave him, though,
and he also offers an explanation on why they did

(17:00):
get into that altercation. Yeah, I don't know this. I
don't know her. I barely I barely know her. Went
through her damn phone. Ugly. She ceo at the damn
jail house. They come bail or out. She's sending the
ceo the hotel. Mister Hughes too, yep, and he got

(17:24):
a wife and she's probably gonna see this. Mister Hughes Yep.
He wasn't jail for twenty forty eight hours. How you
got to build a bitch out? And she's the CEO, like,
couldn't you get out a jail free card? He didn't.
So you know what hotel? You standing that he was
waiting outside your hotel? He called you. You said you

(17:44):
enjoyed this company. Yeah, Now Chrishan has to deny being
hit by Blue Face after this video. She said the
only thing he hitting is this tire and she posted
something in the gym. But it doesn't feel like this
is a great relationship to be in when things like
this have to happen in public. For either one of them.
You said, press charges, would press charges, Well, neither one

(18:05):
of them have done that because after that whole altercation,
it was they went home and they wouldn't because that
video was taken in his bedroom or in their head. Yeah.
So and where he had the black eye and everything
saying that she attacked him. So how you lose his
boxing gig if he didn't hit the Well, I think
maybe it was too controversial after that video has emerged
and the company said, in light of the videos that
have come to light today a blue Face assaulting his partner,

(18:27):
we cannot allow him to participate in a the own
broadcast Fight Sports event. They said they need to consider
an alternative fight for the car. But I didn't see
the video. But she's she said he didn't hit her,
so it looks like she initiated getting physical. There's parts
where he's like kind of holding her down on the ground,
but it's more like restraining her. But there are parts
where it looks like he's physical. It was it was
both they both kind of physical with each other. Yeah,

(18:50):
So she just said it didn't happen because trying. Ye,
she's saying she doesn't want But when are adults, I mean,
and they're both adults, but when they're like older people
going to you know, interfere in this situation because clearly
there's a his mom and his sister tried and remember
she fought the mom and the sister, So it's definitely
dysfunction in toxic they you know, I would say they

(19:11):
should go to therapy, but I don't know, Maybe they
should just separate. Yeah, because even the family has gotten
involved and picked that hun gun all right now a
lot of people want to know when Steven A. Smith
is coming back to First Take, so on social media,
he responded, August fifteenth will be the date. So I
know we miss him being on there, but he had

(19:31):
surgery on his shoulder. He's been uncomfortable. It's led to
an extended vacation from the program, but he will be
back on the fifteen. Hey man, How first, all right, now,
Chris Rocks Everybody Still Hates Chris Animated show has been
given a straight to series orders, So that's going to
be released via Paramount Plus and Comedy Central. It was

(19:52):
announced yesterday, So congratulations, They said, Chris Rock is one
of the most gifted comedians of all time, and we're
excited to partner with him Three Arts and CBS Studios
to bring this to life and welcome it as the
next big hit and our expanding arsenal of iconic adult
animation that includes smash series such a South Park and
the New Beavis and Butthead. I'm definitely watching that Everybody

(20:13):
Hates Chris and Animated series, all right. And lastly, get
Ready for Love and Hip Hop Miami. That super trial
it has come out. It looks like ray Day and
Princess Love are definitely over. You'll be able to hear
that at the end of this clip. Starting Monday, August Day.

(20:34):
Make room for the hottest return of the summer. This season,
I'm doing bigger show, bigger Arenas Joy is dating because
I gave word permission? Did you want to have kids
with me? I feel all the known, everything is extra spicy.
We're already talking. Yeah, sorry, can't keep the secret secret.

(20:55):
All right, So I guess she's already. Princess Love is
already talking to other guys. You can hear trick Daddy
is talking about his wife. He gave her permission to
date other people, all kinds of issues. Both Amara lanegra
and Shay Johnson were pregnant during this season being taped,
and Trina was on the Legend of the Street tour
as the only woman. And a Yana van Zan is
also going to be making an appearance to fix a

(21:16):
family and distress. So again, that premiere is on Monday,
all right, and that is your rumor reports. All right,
we got front page news next. What we're talking about? Yes,
and let's talk about finances. Okay. For the first time ever,
Americans have surpassed sixteen trillion dollars in debt. We'll tell
you what's going on, all right. We'll get into that
next to Breakfast Club, Good morning morning. Everybody is DJ

(21:39):
Envy Angela, Ye, Charlomagne the guy. We are the breakfast Club.
Let's get in some front page news. I just want
to tell y'all. In some sports, the Dallas Cowboys come
in as the number one most valuable sports franchise. Yeah,
I think it always does. Just came in again. I
guess they did it every year. Every year. They knew it.
So they're saying that out of all the sixteen NFL teams,

(22:02):
they came to number one at five points or seven
point six four best because us Dallas Cowboy fans are loyal, okay,
yellow loyal. I was in Dallas and I tried to
buy a Yankees hat or a Giant's hat, and I
could not find one, I believe. And when it comes
to baseball, the Yankees is probably the most valuable. Yankees
is number one. Number two is the Los Angeles Rams

(22:22):
when it comes to football, which was strange. I didn't
think the Rams are that why LA, Yeah, but the
Rams are kind of It's I don't know. I don't
think that big is the Patriots of the Giants. All
I know is the Dallas Cowboy fans like myself are
loyal through thick and thin. Okay, that's right, a lot
of things. But guess what, we don't waiver. We're not

(22:43):
let all everybody else who jumps from team the team
every year Dallas Cowboy. And guess who're going in the
Super Bowl this year? The Giants, the Dallas Cowboys, the
Patriots to number three, the Giants number four in the
forty nine is number five. Oh, by the way, that's
that's Cowboys are number one most valuable sports team franchise
period now not just NFL. Be clear on that. Shut up,
so throw that out there. Soccer and everything else, all right, continue, ye,

(23:05):
all right, Well, Nancy Pelosi has remember the president of
Taiwan and a historic visit, but that has also escalated
tensions with China. Here's what Nancy Pelosi has to say.
The story of Taiwan is an inspiration to all freedom
loving people in the United States and around the world.
Out of a crucible of challenge, you have forged a

(23:26):
flourishing democracy, one of the freest in the world today.
Our delegation, which I'm very proud, came to Taiwan to
make unequivocally clear we will not abandon our commitment to Taiwan,
and we were proud of our enjoying friendship. Now China
immediately condemned Nancy Pelosi's visits. The Chinese Foreign Ministry released

(23:48):
a statement after her arrival, and they said those who
play with fire will perish by it, and that the
visit represents a serious violation that seriously infringes upon China
sob and territorial integrity. Why America always playing with people
like if China decides they want to take Taiwan back
the way Russia is trying to take Ukraine back, what

(24:09):
is American gonna do? America not right now? Okay, y'all
don't have the strength, all right, you need something to eat,
some water, You need to work out. You are in
no position, okay to be poking these bears, Okay, all right. Well,
Republicans have also supported this trip. They said, we support
Speaker of the House of Representative Nancy Pelosi ship to Taiwan.
For decades, members of the United States Congress, including previous

(24:30):
Speakers of the House, have traveled to Taiwan. This travel
is consistent with the United States One China polity to
which we are committed. Yeah, but once again, why agitate people, Like, why,
what's the point? America is in no position to want
that kind of smoke at this moment, none, zero, not
a Now, speaking of America and what's going on here, financially,

(24:53):
Americans have been piling up credit card debt as they
are struggling to keep up at the high cost of living.
US house whole debt has surpassed sixteen trillion dollars for
the first time ever during the second quarter, according to
the New York Federal Reserve, even as borrowing costs are surging.
They said credit card balances have increased by forty six
billion dollars last quarter. So the New York Fed said

(25:15):
that the credit card binge at least partly reflects inflation,
as prices are rising at the fastest pace in more
than forty decades, and researchers also wrote in a blog
post the impacts of inflation are apparent and high volumes
of borrowing. So not only are credit card balances rising,
but Americans have also opened two hundred and thirty three
million new credit card accounts during the second quarter. That's
the most since two thousand and eight. Wow. Yeah, so

(25:40):
that's a lot of debt. Guys, it's gonna be a
lot more, especially with rates going high and prices going
up and inflation and happening, and it's gonna be a
lot more people can't afford it. All right, Well, that
is your front page news. Orange Juice was I just
want to put thing on Orange Juice again. It was
four ninety nine. It's just crazy, all right. All when
we come back, Kevin Gates will be joining us. He

(26:02):
has a new album out right now. We're supposed to
come up here a couple of times, but I know
the last time one of his own abody in his
camp had COVID and he couldn't get up here. But
we're gonna talk to him. Today's to don't Move. It's
to Breakfast Club. Good Morning, Breakfast Club, Angela Year and
Charlomagne the God Morning. Everybody's DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlomagne

(26:22):
the guy. We are the Breakfast Club. We got a
special guest in the bill, the good brother, Kevin Gates.
Thank you for having me. Man. You look good man
than you like. You're looking shape, healthy, You got the
gods going around you. Man, you look good also, Thank you, brother.
May see you in the long time man. Let's the
last time Keving been up here. Everything bit, brother, how
are you feeling? How are you You want me to

(26:43):
be honest? Absolutely, it's been an amazing journey being difficult,
but I feel amazing well made. You want to get
into your fitness journey? Man, It go with the spiritual
man buyed his sole connection. And then I come from
a place of doing a lot of drugs and not
being self accountable and not holding myself accountable for things
and pass traumatic experiences that I went through. I was

(27:07):
really operating out of fear not to just go down that.
But the first time I ever spoke about this was
in on with the Mike Tyson interview. I was talking
about I'm a great father. I'm not a big stepper.
Like the violence that I exhibited was because I was
molested when I was young. So that's what made me
just operate out of fear. I had to fear being vulnerable.

(27:29):
You know. I took out all these different styles of
martial lords, you know, weapon reality, these things, but I
was operating out of a place of fear because even
though I'm tough, you still got that feel of being vulnerable,
and it's it's something that a lot of men don't
speak on. But I had read this book by I
think his name mister Jason Wilson. Yeah, hell yeah, yeah,
that's my homie I loved and I was and he

(27:52):
was like me. And I'm supposed to be nurtural as also,
like society wants you to just be tough and don't
never you know, but I was, like, I cried too
three times a day sometime working out, doing yoga and
things of that nature, because you have to release or
your implode. And then I'm real conscious of like my words,
like what I say to people, I make sure, even

(28:12):
if I'm hurting your feelings, I make sure I say
it out of a place I love. I was gonna
ask what that book got you to open up? What
did you see? You want me to be honest, absolutely honest.
I don't think you know any other way to be.
I don't want to trigger. I don't want to trigger nobody.
Y'all know. When I was seventeen, I believe I had

(28:34):
shot myself in the head. I tried to commit suicide,
had the bullet in my head, and then twenty twenty,
I believe I was gonna push my out again. Yeah,
so you said that on Big fact I got all Instagram.
I did all of that. I got disconnected my Instagram,
got out of social media, and I was by myself
and just through the course of events, like I don't

(28:55):
want to talk about it to trigger nobody, but absolutely
I was gonna kill myself. I wasn't happy. What got
you out of it? What made you stop? Once I
got off Instagram, I was making a lot of comparisons
because I put in so much work to be an
amazing artist, but you never celebrated properly, you know, especially
when you were a man. And I'm not no alpha
male advocate or no, I ain't with all that dumbed.

(29:18):
I believe it takes balance, you know, like I ain't
with that woman gonna do what I This ain't no
toxic masculinity, feminine. You're talking about the whole of divine,
feminine and sacred masculinity. That's God, That's right. How you
know about that? You talking about man? So any way,

(29:38):
just during the course of events, be getting off Instagram,
stopped making comparisons, because comparisons is to kill all joy.
People show the highlight realm dj adn't be pulling up
in Ferraris, but it's home. Life might be straight bullsh
but he's making it look good. And it's like you
compare your real life and all the problems you got
to somebody that's highlight real and that college depression. So

(30:00):
I got out social media for like a year and
al and I just started living. And I saw that
in the streets loved me. Everywhere I go, people loved me.
And I had to realize, hold on, don't man. I
got to reafird some things with myself. Man, I want you.
I'm gonna recommend this book. Hey, I got a question.
If I want to bring the copy of your book
up here with you sign it? Of course, this is

(30:22):
what you need to read. Ego as the enemy. I
carry it with me, trust me, I know. But I
love to talk about it though. And the reason you
know it might be triggering the something or for something helps.
So like I did, I was the same day with you.
I was. I was away from shooting myself too, and
it's because I didn't think I was worthy of my

(30:44):
house wife feel as good as what we could do
for somebody. But what happens when I spoke about it
and so many other people were in that same position,
and they got me and walk up to me every
day and cry every day. If I'm in a gym, man,
thank you for being so transparent. I don't nobody to
talk about this. I'm talking about bad to build a
super big and I could tell that you're doing this

(31:05):
out of frustration. So I changed the way that I
even approached the gym. Now when I go, I go
to make myself feel good. I go to put positive
energy in my bad I did yoga before I came
up here. I gotta open myself up and feel positive.
I go to therapy once a week. I'm doing it
for like six years. But therapy is not everybody's form
of healing. So what else do you do to like

(31:25):
what you do on your healing journey? I had to
get by myself, okay, And one one of the biggest
things I do I keep self inventory. I write down
the things that I'm feeling, whatever it is, and I
go back and answer them questions. I talk to myself.
I used to think I was weird for doing it,
than I read that all geniuses talk to themselves. I'm
in tune with myself. I can be alone. Is it difficult?

(31:47):
It is. It's like when they got this yoga post
called the pigeon Post. I never knew nothing about no
emotional detoxing. What because you know, walk around talking about
man emotional detox. We got taught that I was doing
a pigeon post just to my hips, somethmore like, Okay,
this is gonna give you more strength in the gym.
But I'm looking at it for the strength aspect. And
it was so healing because I started crying right there uncontrollably.

(32:10):
She put her hands on my back. She say, a
lot of what you're feeling right now is not your
own psychic debris. You're having an emotional detox right now,
just breathing to the poles. She said, a lot of
the anger and frustration and emotions are harder than the
gut and then the hills. I never knew this, so
I emotionally detox before I came up here, because I

(32:31):
don't want to project. Even with my son. He told
me someone day, and I may, what is you alone?
I'm I'm handling him bad, this unchecked aggression. If I'm
not in tune with myself, if I'm not happy, I
can't make my children happy. I can't be the man
I'm supposed to be for my family. That's really got
you in new yoga. I got into it in prison
on my last bid. It was a blessing, but the

(32:52):
first when I was presented with the opportunity to the
due yoga, I'm like, man, I'm not about to do that,
said you going in being old. I ain't got time
to be doing that. You know. I was just you know,
you judge it because you don't understand it. Correct. My
first class, maybe two minutes into it, I had to
run to the bathroom and just everything out my badd

(33:12):
He say, you're releasing everything that's not that's no longer
serving or how yourself. So I just start experimenting with
yoga jail and I noticed, I'm like, this curt my appetite.
You're focusing on your breath, You're focusing on yourself. This
person may be able to stretch way better than you,
but guess what, everybody's on their own individual journey. So
it kind of teach you to not compel. And it

(33:34):
also teach you too. Even those situations may get rough
or tense, you just breathe through it and work through it,
and the reward been in the journey. I ain't trying
to get to no destination. I'm I'm loving the journey
right now. And what you said is Keto, you said
here like there's no destination to healing. It's a constant
journey at all. I'm in love with the journey. Like

(33:54):
all my friends. At first, they were like there you
go with this old health there, but they started to
get into your friends and your family and your queen,
like because your journey is When they first started, it
was a lot of resistance because it's alien of people.
I'm exhibited an alien behavior. It's unknown, it's foreign, and
I didn't know what I was doing. But I had
to follow my heart because I never wanted to sit

(34:17):
there watch TV and say, you know what, what if
I never would have tried, that would be my biggest regret.
I had everything taken from me In two thoy sixteen,
I was innocent over a lot, nominated for a Grammars,
all of that. But it was beautiful because this time
I'm even helping more people. But I harbored a lot
of resentment toward that. I'm like, man, why I keep

(34:37):
getting looked over? I do nothing but great? But then
when somebody else emulate what I do. The world slapped
them on the ads and applaud like, why don't nobody
noticed me? Because it wasn't my time yet. I wasn't
ready to receive these blessings, these blessings. Wasn't then that
they was just delayed. So now I'm receiving my blessings.
I will keep a lot. We got more with Kevin Gates.

(34:58):
When we come back. It's the Breakfast Club for more morning.
Everybody is DJ Envy, angela Ye, Charlemagne the guy. We
are the Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with Kevin Gates. Now.
I wanted to ask you. We had a big discussion
about this when you said it on the radio. Right
what I said when you were talking about miss being
talking about another man's wife. Yeah, what I said, spect

(35:19):
the jamn to mix it. Don't know if they swing
beyond the need to leave me make up respectfully. By
the Shima, that's one of the most beautiful women in
the world. I can't be a fan. Yes you can.
I'm sitting in the trap around the monsters just looking
at TV man. I swear the guard. When I said
that everybody feel like that, they just scared to say it.

(35:41):
I ain't scared to say it respect for another man, respectfully.
I don't mean respectfully respect If somebody said that about
your lady, your queen, that'll be that'll feel good. You
post a fanis hide about what I got. I'm leaving
your dreams every night. Yeah, I'm punching her living your dreams.

(36:02):
What I don't want nothing, don't nobody else, won't I get.
That's like Evangela, You and my lady. I'm not trying.
I'm only being illustrative. If that's a word. You're my
lady now, and I know all y'all, just y'all want
my woman. I'm about to walk up and get you
a big hug and grip that ass in front of them. Yeah.
I don't kill right, but but somebody that's not on

(36:23):
your same plane field saying stick my Tillai and squirrel
little around like the helicopter. Do I live to my
wife's helm? So you wouldn't feel away if another man
said that about your white killer wouldn't give. I don't
care about what nobody to think about me or what
nobody to say, and you still would have the same
respect for that individual. Yeah, me and speak to the
same way. We can still do a song with each other.

(36:44):
We're still good. I mean, if you speak to me,
I'll speak to you, you know me and greet me,
and I don't know what you got going on, and
they see y'all invited me here. I'm not gonna go
know where I'm not invited, So if somebody invite me somewhere,
then yeah, I'm You know, I'm a gangster and a gentleman.
How you doing, beloved? You know I'm gonna greet you
humble and see me and greet me. And you know
you said some others too that M on a song

(37:05):
shoot my shot. Because I hadn't bring this, they buttered
me up with all of the positivity. You Now, most
guys would be intimidated by a situation like this, right,
what kind of situation? Shoot my shot? You said that
I don't remember because you Yes, I'm because I'm gonna

(37:29):
mention this just because we did. On lip service, we
had a J. Johnson on and she was talking about
how she was with two guys and it turned into
this whole thing where people were like condemning her for
it and she had to actually come back on to
defend herself about a situation that she had. But you
were like, like, you know, I don't mind. I would
actually liked the girl and have another guy like you know,

(37:50):
like a threesome and like my homie, you know, just
be able to do that and I won't look at her. No,
you can't do that with no anybody. You gotta have
somebody that's don't respect that woman like you respect that
woman right even the way that we issued to like,
I like, it's a lot of women that that love that,
but they have a feel being judged what you say,
you said punch issue. I'm using both of them, but

(38:17):
because I feel like that's a taboo thing and people
looking at they'll say like, oh, she got a train
man on her, or that happens. Okay, when you go
see you listening to that, people that don't even know
who they are, they're not even comfortable what they say.
Ually don't even know who you are, You don't even
know what you like. How can I listen matter that
don't know what they like telling me what's wrong and
what's right for me? I talk to women I'm talking

(38:39):
about up in rank, having businesses and everything, and they
just Kevin I just love the way you just slept
me out. They loved that. I just feel free when
I'm with you. No judgment, yeah, baby, no judgment. People
go through how you think I got this good? Because
practice don't make you perfect. Practice only makes you better.
If a woman had been with a lot of people,

(39:00):
but you know what, you got field credentials, I'm not.
I'm not. That's like charlema ain't two inches longer than
matter were both still hitting that. I mean your stomach.
If a woman saying I'm not enough stomach, she hate
know me? Y'all with that? Boy, I want to know

(39:21):
what do you What do you say no to in
the bad room because it feels like no host bird?
What are some things that you're like, I ain't doing
that that somebody's asked you to do? Don't know, abody
ask me to do nothing because I'm such a pleaser
and a woman badding know when you aiming to please her,
A woman badding know if you're doing this selfishly, A
woman badding know if you're doing this with gratitude, and

(39:43):
guess what, I'm thankful for you right now because this
is a whole blessing. I praying everything before I have
six This is spiritual. My wouldn't get hard if it
wasn't without the permission of the creator. So I'm gonna
pray before I do this. I'm gonna make it sacred
because guess guess who know about it? Businesses between tholes
who make it. That's right. You know you got the
song thinking with my with juicy j How does a

(40:06):
man not think with it? That glow that you say
you see in that order, that that prisons that you
feel when I walk in the room. A lot of
people are gonna talk against this, but this comes from
seeming retention and discipline. If I wake up in the morning,
they call it morning wood. You know, you could choose
to you it's a choice. You could choose to put
a sock on. You can beat it and shoot your

(40:27):
precious life force in a sock. Or you could choose
to get up and put that energy into your workout.
You could take your sexual cravance and translate that energy
into something else. And it shows and something else that
I've noticed since I've been on this journe I've been
practicing about maybe three and a half years. Everybody that
meets me not say, man, your energy is so different

(40:48):
now because I'm translating it. Even when I'm around women,
they tell me, you know what, you talk about a
lot of sexual related topics in your songs. I say,
you know how, I say, because I have stained and
I put my cravens into the music. And when I
kich you guess what, I'm not gonna play with you.
But I don't get creep energy from you because I
don't look at women objectively. I met somebody really close.

(41:13):
The reason I say, she really really close. Oh God,
don't kill it. She got acting in her face. I
know this gonna sound crazy. I know this gonna sound crazy.
A lot of women were acting in their face got
good because they harmones. They harmones are so imbalanced that
it caused them to have congestion, so they're not releasing properly.

(41:34):
See once I started really just called in, I really
put it on her her face. Start cleaning up. Because
a lot of time we break out. You notice we
have bad actne developed through to what stress and things
of that nature. I'm not saying all women with acting
anything with the skin, yeah, but a lot of the
things that go on with us are really internally. I'm
not just saying it for that, but she she uped

(41:56):
there she in my top three. That's good man, because
there's a lot of women I did with acting and
they got insecurities because of the acne. But you just know,
I'm so serious, like like a woman with act a
little bit of congestion at acting in our face. Them
be the ones. Now, you know what. I wanted to
ask you about your relationship with Drinker because there's been
a lot of speculation online. So how is everything? Let

(42:18):
them speculate. I don't answer. No, I don't. I don't.
I don't do that with the internet. Let them say
what they want to say about me. I don't kill
because then you see her. She still know all the
lyrics to all the songs on the album. She posted
that look like she loved me. Yeah, and I love
That's it? Like what else? Why does it matter? People? Be?
I just want to know. I just know. Listen, you're

(42:38):
living by careishly through somebody else. You're looking at my
life for your source and entertainment for that situation. Because
you y'all were so intwined with each other. We still
we're still in twin. People don't see something always, Why
what happened. You know, people don't see you with somebody else,
and then they'll be like, oh, he's doing this, And
did you see me nailing somebody else? And you just

(42:59):
see me with somebody, you ain't seen me pinning up
to get somebody else, somebody. I can't even but I'm
just saying it's a true statement. Like let's go off statistics.
I'm gonna say all of the women I ran across

(43:19):
with that acne and they think then being Prussure, real Prussia,
and they had an insecurity about the acne. Girl, lick
you lit, boss, you better stop playing with me. I
will keep a lock. We got more with Kevin Gates
when we come back. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning
morning everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlomagne, the guy.
We are the Breakfast Club. We're still kicking it with

(43:40):
Kevin Gates. Charlomagne, what is impacted your life? More? Islama
hip hop? You know him me to tell you something,
to be honest, and I mean this with all due respect.
The people that hurt me the most, it's my own people,
Like it's a lot of Muslims that love me, but
it's also a lot of Muslims. That judgement. You can't
have tattoo. That's hard m this this that hard arm.

(44:02):
It means forbidden. You can't do this. And this man
you know, who helped me, like really get back on
my feet. Since my last tool, it's been Jews and transgenders.
I got a potneer jew. He bringing me coffee deals
and all of this. We're doing all these investments. This
later she a transgender. She say, baby, you can use
my white house if you want to put all your

(44:23):
merchant up. Just gave me the white house. Man, the
words you say, they speak to my spirit. I love
who I love who you are. I love what you
stand for. It be the people that the world say
is the most worst people, the people on earth been
the people that helped me. And it's my own people
that judge me and kicked me when I'm down, and
I always got something negative to say about me. I
always in my business, keep my name and miss like

(44:45):
like then they say black lives matter and get mad
when I don't support it. Who they matter too? We
kill each other all day. I told God, man, I
hate to say it. I mean, it's what all the
respect I look if I gotta come back on it.
Just wait till something most come available back the hub.
I don't even want be don't really everybody won't be
tell a time to be one. You're a black guard, though,
niggas what the way man told us we were? Nigga

(45:07):
mean king, that's what they say. Why you hear me
say b O, n big old, I mean king. We
was taught wrong. I'm a big old. There's nothing I
can't go through and and adapt and adjust and become greater.
But that's what most of my problems don't come from
other people come from Niles. That's who kicked me when
I'm down. But that's also who supports you to I

(45:29):
can't say it's just biggles that support me. You know
what it is that supports me real people. I don't
look at that like that. I look at it as
real people and fake people. And you never know who
your blessing gonna come through, so you can't judge. Don't
you believe it's a white supremacist system that put us
in this position to even be the way we are
to each other. They say that, but I ain't. I

(45:49):
got a good heart. I try to help I get
it but there's a bunch of brothers and sisters that
support you to help. Yeah, real people. It's real people
and fake people. But the people that didn't really kick
me when I'm down, be the people that look like me.
The people that judge me, be the people that look
like me. That's why I think God using you as
a vessel now to help. I hope somebody to hear
this and realize that main't. Look, Hey, I can't do

(46:12):
no right. I started to get rid of kill, talked
about kicked in my ass for nothing for what. I
ain't trying to admit this type of emotion, but man't
it get hurt? Hurt homie. I feel I ain't even
make contact with that girl in the Florida You got
don't understanding light on me? And I love you because
maybe God used you for me to go through this transition.

(46:33):
I wouldn't be who I am. I'm not so I
tached that positive energy to it, but I had harbored
a lot of resentment from that. It took me from
my children. Oh a four hundred dollars fine, y'all gave
me six months for that. When it's time for me
to come home Illinois. So you got a warrant? What
you know about having your heart broke like that? Get
to Chicago jail. You know, I'm doing my bid. Middle
of my bid. Your brother just got murdered. What you

(46:55):
know about having your heartbroke like that? I could keep going,
But like I could keep going, I was destroyed on
the inside. Man, it hurt like so of course I
get emotional just thinking about it. Like it's like I
can't do no right. But you'd be surprised how many
people you're helping right now? Yeah, Like I mean the
way living. I mean I look at the at Malcolm

(47:18):
Mix and all that, he's still funny, all that I
identified with him. I du and I was like, yeah,
you know, went to jail. We're gonna ride in this bitch. Yeah,
they're feeding us cold food. I'm about to stand. We
come on, let's go. When they come in this bitch,
let's go. You know what I did when they came
in there with them guys, this when't got nig wreck.
I'm out there fighting by myself. Don't know what the

(47:39):
war and told me. He said, I respect of your man,
but start sticking by yourself. I can't win. You know,
A minister fag, I said one time, and it's fag,
and I said, you have to love black people more
than they hate themselves. I guess I love them. I
love I love God, and I love my family, and
I love the people that love me. I'm not walking

(48:00):
out you. Hey, I'm gonna be honest with you. People.
I don't like. I don't wish no good on it.
I hope you drive on the street and get hit
by a car and that This is why healing is
like like, I don't wish good for not linear. I don't.
I don't like. I don't wish like. I'm gonna be honest.
I don't wish good like. I'll be hearing people say
that man, he hurt you, I wish the best for you.

(48:21):
I'm gonna say I wish you the best because I'm
not gonna put no negative energy. But I don't wish
no good for you. I don't give up what happened
to you. This is why healing isn't a task. It's
a practice, all right, it's a Journey's no harm on anybody.
I just mind my business man. That sound cool, that
it sound I'm gonna tell the truth, though, Hey, if
you hurt me go with me, man, I wish something

(48:43):
bad happened to you. That's why you point that wrestler
so hard. No comment, no comment that I'm just asking.
I know, like the world, the world want to be
politically correct. I'm not trying to the word that you
can do is be successful. I can't just be successful

(49:05):
and cut somebody off so that they have no access
to you. And I think that's I mean, why would
I throw away all of this behind a p on
a piasant mindset? If you did something to relations to
me that just showed me where your mind said that
you a piasant. But I ain't wishing a biss for you.
I don't care what happened to you. Yeah, now, I'm
not wishing the best. But I'm just not just saying
I said I would cut off access to you and

(49:26):
I would be successful. I don't wish the biss. I
might say that he stay bliss boy that today I
ain't gonna say the boy died that. But I think
I'm gonna hey, listen, I'm gonna say with everybody scared
to say, I'm not with that politically correc but all
of that n intro was gonna be how you have

(49:47):
to start the album off, because I see all of
that in the intro. Yeah, like that. When I make music,
this therapy for me. I'm releasing all of the ease,
emotions and things of that nature, and it's healing for
people to hear that. Oh man, I'm going through the
same thing he going through. This is how he did
with it with fitness, this is how he did with it.
I take I could go smoke weed, but I love

(50:08):
what eNCA Johnson say. He said, a lot of these
brothers when get difficult, they just go blow weed. D
ain't got nothing invested. See when you invest in something
and you hustle and you work for something, you got
a different type of attachment tool. You're gonna have a
cold day and help for somebody to try to take
this from you. We live by this, we die by this.
We don't surrender, we don't retreat. Every man want to
search his own soul. I listened to that quote every morning.

(50:30):
Every man want search his own soul. And I gotta
just tell the truth. I don't feel like a lot
of these people feel. Oh they're scared to say that's
how they feel. I don't care whatever you think about me.
I don't care. I'm happy. The moral of this interview
is healing isn't a task, and not seeing he trying
to do all that healing is. Healing is a journey.

(50:53):
Now that's right, that's right. You really an autograph my
book and you just said that because I got you. Man,
I appreciate when I have, because I ain't bringing my
book done. I said, I give it the crust. I'll
have another bit. But I appreciate what you out here doing, Cab.
I do, I really do because people need to hear
it from me. Don't care to day that I wasn't
gonna get to day though. That was funny. I thought

(51:15):
that should have been a challenge. I wanted people to
do it. You want me to do you want me
to eat Kevin Gates, it's the breakfast? Come on, Oh
my god, thank y'all. Y'all. Uncle John made my dress
that cheap fast pat Deck looks up. Mess. What's wrong
with you? Man? What's wrong with you? I saw what

(51:35):
you posted on Instagram, last name, your ig? The post
you posted they coming from my head. I was like, damn,
maybe who's coming for you? Who's I was like, coming
from his head? Oh, I'm talking to car Show, I'm
talking about trade the truth and I didn't see it.
Did you think? You know what? I thought? I was
wondering why you was listening listening it like that hate

(51:57):
you on your IG story. I hate you like you
don't have a son man, Paul Paul and nothing you've
posted it. Let's get to the rooms with you. Oh
all right? Well, not only has Beyonce removed the words

(52:19):
fast from her song Heated, but she also has removed
the usage of that milkshape milkshake interpolation from Callie from
her song Energy, after Calice had some issues, saying that
it was disrespectful. Uh and she didn't like the way
that she wasn't notified about that. She said, It's not
a collab, it's theft. I'm so confused though, Yeah, I

(52:41):
didn't hear it, so now it's gone. That's what I'm
confused to stop the song now, title and Apple have
appeared to remove that interpolation of milkshake at the tail
end of Energy, and nobody has commented on it, and
and the credits I heard too, right, See, That's what
I'm confused about because and maybe I need to pay
more attention but I thought Calice was upset that she
didn't get credited. So she got credited in the first place.

(53:03):
What was the problem if she was credited on the song,
what was the problem. So she got credited. That's what.
That's what. That's what I found out yesterday. They said,
could they say she removed the credit from the song? Well, yeah,
full credits revealed. The song in question was Milk Take,
with Pharrell and Chad Hugo credited on the track. I
thought they said Collie credited too. I thought they said
they removed her credit yesterday, So I don't I don't know.

(53:25):
I'm just telling you what it says. I thought they
said they removed the sampling credit. But why would you
want to take the sample though, because you get paid
over that, right, every time that record gets played, you
get PC. Well, we don't know who owns whatever publishing,
so we don't know who actually gets paid for it, right,
you're right, yeah. So interpolation is also different than sampling.
That's when they alter the sound. Sampling takes the song

(53:48):
directly with no changes, so an interpolation is a little
bit different. So that was an interpolation or did this
make Calie screams go up. Because I'm sure a lot
of people went out there in search Collie, because Callice
got a lot of fans out there. Bro see, because
Kalis said in her Instagram video, publishing was stolen, people
were swindled out of rights. It happens all the time,
especially back then. So it's not about me being mad

(54:08):
about Beyonce. And she said, Farell knows better. This is
a direct hit at me, and he does this stuff
all the time. Okay, now another person when certain things happen,
like when the words bads was removed from beyonce song,
Monica Lewinsky actually posted after that and she went that
lyric taken out of the song partition he Monica Lewinsky

(54:32):
all on my gown. That was five years ago. She said, Um,
while we're at it has tag partition. How many artists
have said things about Monica Luwisky? How many comedians that
made Monica Luwinsky jokes? How many TV shows of reference
that like, why are you she talking? And Beyonce? That's
what the beeh I've said, Monica girl, be realistic. Why
are you only talking about Beyonce? There were plenty of

(54:52):
other artists Beyonce would have tweeted, I'll suck my d
Monica luwhisky all on my dress. Goodness gracious. All right,
so all of that drama, but you know the album
is getting a lot of great reviews too, so man,
the same time, there's a lot going on, all right.
Erb Gotti is on drink Champ to jab Rule and

(55:13):
in the teaser, apparently he talks about finding out about
a shanty dating Nellie. I can get past you wanting
to be with Nellie. Sounds like you didn't get past them.
Just listen, listen, you want to you want to hear
how I found out? How did you find out? Sir?
I was at home? Huh, there wasn't on Twitter or Instagram.
Back there is at home. Listen to this. This is

(55:35):
God wanted me to find out. Was that home? NBA package?
I likewise two sports? Oh my god, what's this commotion
going on in the stadium. We just found out what
the commotion is. Nellie has walked in with the sharp teeth.
So that episode, according to drink Champ said, uh, this

(55:57):
IRV Gotti and jar Real dynamic is amazing. New GM
chests Thursday on Revote, We're getting ready for the murder
in story on at b Et. All right, an eminem
has unveiled the Curtain Call to track list that's actually
going to be coming out on Friday, by the way,
So some of the people featured on here join the
Lucas Juice World. Pink's new dog, Rihanna is on their

(56:20):
Kailani Yellow wolf Ed, Sharon, Doctor Dre and fifty Cent.
That's the crack of Bottle, Gwen Stefani, CeeLo Green, a
whole lot of appearances on that. So what is this?
This is a new album, new project or is it
remastered two disc collection of greatest hits. It's called Curtain
Call too, So all of those songs with those features

(56:41):
are going to be on their collapse so greatest Hits album. Yeah,
basically you're gonna get that money. All right, Well that
is your rumor report. All right, thank you, missie Charlomagne.
Who give that down? You? Oh man? Four after the Hour,
I want to give donkey today to the eleven Republicans
who voted against the Packed Act. I'll tell you all
about it. Four after the Hour, all right, we'll get
to that. Next is to Breakfast Club. Good Morning, the

(57:02):
Breakfast Club, Your mornings will never be the same. Right now,
everyone can enter matches firms Unjunk your Sleep Sweepstakes for
the chance to win a dream bedroom valued up to
twenty five hundred dollars plus one thousand dollars cash. To
enter and beet official rules, visit the Breakfast Club online
dot com. This is a miracle. There is no question

(57:23):
that there are problems in this country between police and community. Yes,
you are a donkey on that police killing of a
black man now a new development. Sit in the deadly
spawshooting rampage. If they was a really bad day for him,
and if this is what he did, and so we
are in a state of emergency. Okay. White supremative violence

(57:44):
is always have been the number one threat to aticide.
But I'm also very proud that my wife was white
because the Breakfast Club bitches. All right, please tell me
why was I your donkey of the day? Wow? Donkey
today for Wednesday, August third goes to the having Republicans
who voted against the Pack Act. What is the Pack Act? Well,
it would boost healthcare for veterans exposed to toxins during war.

(58:06):
The bill increases healthcare funding and access for military veterans.
Can we name all eleven Republican Senators who voted Tuesday
against our veterans? Yes, we can. Mitt Romney of Utah,
Ram Paul of Kentucky, Mike Crapole of Idaho, James Link
for the Oklahoma, Mike Lee of Utah, Cynthia Loomis of Wyoming,
James Rish of Idaho, Richard Shelby of Alabama, Pat Toomey

(58:29):
of Pennsylvania, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, and Tom Tillis of
North Carolina. All eleven senators all blocked the bill that would,
among other things, expand healthcare for members of the military
diagnosed with rare cancers as a result of their service.
If you've been listening to your uncle Shaula, your brother
Lenard on this radio for years, then you know, without

(58:50):
a shadow of a doubt how I feel about veterans. Okay,
military veterans deserve it all, all right. True American patriots
who went out and fall for this country should never
have to worry about anything ever again. Okay, in this country.
All right, At the very least, this country should take
care of their basic needs. All right. There's not too
many things that pissed me off. More than seeing homeless
military veterans begging for change in these American streets. I

(59:11):
hate it. Okay, all this money we pay in taxes,
military veterans should have free housing, free health insurance, and
the best health insurance. And they should be getting some
type of stipend every month so they can pay their bills,
all right, and keep the refrigerators full. That should be
the bare minimum for how military veterans are rewarded this country.
But those eleven Republicans I just named voted against the
bill citing concerns over cost. This is so nuts to me,

(59:34):
because just last month, the House passed the eight hundred
and forty billion dollars military spending billing. Not once did
I hear someone say how are we gonna pay for it? Okay,
not once did I see anyone concerned over the cost. Now,
it's not all bad news because even though these eleven
Republicans did vote against the pack Act, the bill you
know they passed yesterday. Okay, it was approved in the
Senate by a vote of eighty six to eleven. All right,

(59:55):
but a week after, forty one Republicans elected to stall
it because of what I told you before, cost Okay.
America is literally that dude you see out wearing all
the designer you know, driving the luxury called balling out
on Instagram. But he owe you money, okay, and when
you ask for your money, they ain't got it all right.
Even worse, America is the friend that has no problem

(01:00:16):
spending full price on other people's products. But when you
said person's friends, said person's family are selling something, they
want it for free, are discount when it's you, they
start complaining about the price. Disgusting. Okay. Now, I am
glad this bill passed and the veterans will get what
they earned and deserved. But what changed all of these Republicans? Mind?

(01:00:36):
I'm not talking about the eleven getting donkey to day
to day. I'm talking about the rest of them. Well,
I'll tell you what changed their minds. Good old fashioned shame. Okay,
that's all. Good old fashioned shame. Shame works sometimes, all right, y'all.
Ain't see Nbu with Beijing in his bid in a while.
You know why, because I shame them about it all
the time. Okay, it's say that's right for me, all right,

(01:01:00):
But good old fashioned shame. You know where that good
old fashioned shame came from John Stewart. All Right, the legend,
one of the greatest and strongest voices I personally ever
witnessed in my lifetime, led to charge with shame when
forty one Republicans elected to stall the final passage of
this measure. John Stewart touring the laasses. All right, Pat Toomey,
he wasn't shamed enough to change his vote, but Pat

(01:01:20):
Toomy ted Cruz. The light that John Stewart shined on
this bill last week, no doubt change the minds of
these fake patriots who claimed to care about this country,
who claimed to put America first, But yet they will
vote against things that will actually help the people who
have put their lives on the line for this country.
And guess what when people do things like that, they
deserve to be shamed. Now, we can't play John Stewart's

(01:01:42):
whole ten minutes speech, but I do want to play
some of it because he summed it up quite simple
and playing let's listen, saint a bit. Ain't this a bit?
America's heroes who fought in nor wars outside, threating their
asses off with the oxygen, battling all kinds of ailments, Well,
these mothers sit in the air conditioning, walled off from

(01:02:06):
any of it. They don't have to hear it, they
don't have to see it, They don't have to understand
that these are human beings. Do you get it yet?
Do we see that these are These aren't heroes, These
are men and women, mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers.

(01:02:26):
This is an embarrassment to the Senate, to the country,
to the founders and all that they profess to hold dear.
And if this is America first, then America is. If
this is America first, in America is at America benfter
if you ask me. But I'm a black man from
the South. From my perspective, is different, But it's virtually
the same. Okay. America does not take care of its own.

(01:02:49):
It simply doesn't. America does not take care of any
of the real patriots in this country, the people who
actually believe and live the liberty, freedom and justice for
all creed. Okay, the real patriots who simply want America
to keep his promises. They get treated the worst in
this country. Military veterans who actually fought for this country
get discarded, forgotten about it. And it's easy to do
that for them unless you raise holy hell about it

(01:03:11):
like John Stewart did and shame people into doing the
right thing. Because whether you're black or white, gay or straight, Muslim,
a Christian, we as American citizens all have friends and
family who are military veterans. So that's the one issue
that we can hear and say, that's theft up. They
did that, and you're gonna block funding to help people
who fall for this country, and you eleven Republicans who
getting donkey the day you're really gonna try to hold

(01:03:32):
hostages to legislation that will help those veterans because you
oppose the Inflation Reduction Act. That's what this is all about.
They opposed the Inflation Reduction Act, which includes money to
come back climate change and lower healthcare calls. That's why
they all voted against helping the veterans in the first place.
All right, stop using people's problems. It's chess pieces for
your silly political pissing contest. All right. Folkses out here

(01:03:54):
in need and they can't get those needs met because
y'all busy measuring each other's little tiny penis. All right,
we the people, Yeah right? How when you never ever
put those people over your politics. Please give those e
leving Republicans who voted against the Pack Act the biggest
he hall. I'm glad it passed, though those veterans deserve

(01:04:18):
it all. And why you got a little twinkle in
your eye when I said teeny you said something very
interesting I did. It's your rule. But I'm talking about
the Beijing. I don't use Beijing. When you talk about Beijing,
you use just for men. We know this, bro, Yes,
you know what any more? Though, because I shame you out,
I still use it. I just different colors. He even

(01:04:41):
told us what number right? You don't listen when hey,
now you just said you don't use Beijing. I don't
use Beijing. What is it name? I'm not telling you.
He was denying, dying his beard all together, that he
doesn't use Beijing. Now, if I said I measured my penis,
you would be all into that with you. I got

(01:05:02):
it right. What's wrong with you? Man? You know I'm
gonna go to human resources today. You just told me
you was inviting me to a good time. Everybody heard you.
Millions people heard you. Up next? Is asking up next?
To ask you up next? Measuring five five one on
five one asky is next? If you need relationship advice

(01:05:22):
or any type of advice eight hundred five five one
five Yes, I'm uncomfortable eight five five one on five one.
Ask you is next? What are you looking for? Measuring take?
If you need to let you see you better not
follow me to the bathroom. Going to the bathroom after
this break you doing it from everybody, You've better not
following me. It's the breakfast Club. Good morning, you were
here the breakfast Club Morning. Everybody is DJ Envy, Angela Yee,

(01:05:50):
Charlomagne the guy. We are the breakfast Club. We're in
the middle of asky, Hello, who's this? Michael looks up, Michael,
what's your question for? Easy? So I wanted to ask
you we might be able to get us for five
years now all the off, all right, but I think
that right now I'm ready to make that commitments. And
I said, you know, to marry me and stuff like that.
But I'm you know, she's going to say she's not ready.

(01:06:12):
She's not ready, you know, but we have a we
have a child together. So I'm trying to you know,
get a family, you know, you know, clear to find
my family. So she said she's not ready, you know,
giving me him to you know, I shouldn't do what
should have proposed and stuff like that, but I want
to make the next step, you know, So I was
wondering what should I do? But she's telling you that
she doesn't want you to propose and she's not ready

(01:06:32):
to get married. So you said off and on for
five years? Yeah, Well, you know we've been you know,
at any relationship, you know, you you got you know,
we could you have an ups and down? What are
the offs because of like, tell me the reasons why
you guys have been off at times? Um, I guess
trust this years you know, she don't trust me, I
don't trust her and stuff like that. But for the

(01:06:54):
past like year, we've been a very good place. You know.
I think we finally found each other, fund each other back.
M Okay, where did those trust issues come from? What happened?
I would say that you know, II that stuff, She
that stuff, and you know it's always a blame game,
you know, you stuff like that, Okay, and that still

(01:07:14):
goes on. You'll still blame each other for things and
you still have trust issues. Well, as of right now,
we were fine, but it does that, you know, I
think she lives in the past a lot, like a
lot of stuff like you know, you alway run and
this I freaking stood off that you know, shows you know,
living stuff that happening three four years ago. Okay, I
do feel like you, guys, if she's telling you she's
not ready for that, y'all need to work on those

(01:07:36):
things before you make a decision to get married. You
guys do have a family and you are together, right,
so that's not the issue. You want to go and
take that next step, and you have to show her
that you're committed to do the work in order to
make that happen. And so I feel like, you know,
off and on for five years. If she's not ready,
that's fair for her to be honest and tell you that.
And she's still you guys are still working on your relationship. Okay.

(01:08:00):
So I don't think you can pressure her at this
point in time, but what you can do is ask
her what are the necessary steps that you need to
take in order to be ready, so that I can
make sure that we're working towards that goal. Because if
you guys are agree in agreements that we're working towards
the goal of us getting married at some point then
how do we go about that? Does that mean that
we have to you know, sit down, go to couples counseling,

(01:08:22):
make sure that we are more comfortable in being able
to move forward, that we can get past some of
these issues of things that I've done, things that she's done.
Take accountability and responsibility for those things. You know, it's
a huge deal. And if she still is not one
hundred percent there, then figure out what needs to happen
for her to be one hundred percent there. I agree,
but you know, I wanted to make quention. I call

(01:08:44):
it quick relationships. You no way, you know, forget about it.
I'm trying. There's no time that you can tell somebody
to call it quits, but I feel like you do
have to put in the work. All right, thank you,
all right, you're welcome. All right, ask ye eight hundred
five five one or five one. If you need relationship
advice at any type of advice, you can call ye. Now.
Now we got rumors on the way. Yes, and Wendy

(01:09:04):
Williams got married. According to Hollywood Unlocked, that did happen,
and the team has been asked to keep her entire
family away. All right, we'll get into that. Next, it's
the Breakfast Club. Good morning, the Breakfast Club. It's a
random song on the Wednesday. The radio does nothing but

(01:09:25):
play random songs. That's the whole point of radio at
random because because think about how intentional people are with
their music. Now, they have their own playlists that they curate.
You can go online and you know, pick whatevery song
you want on demand. So technically, when you turn the
radio on, you just listening to a bunch of random records.
In this era, yes, all right, I feel like they
just took this weekend song out of nowhere. Just listen.

(01:09:47):
If you listen to the radio for music, all you're
doing is listening to random song selections. You're not choosing
this stuff. I know that. But in twenty twenty two,
in an era where you can curate your own playlist,
you don't have to listen to random music if you
don't want to. I'm just saying, all right, well, let's
get to let's go. This is the rule of report
with Angela. Ye. Well, Jason Lee got the tea. It

(01:10:12):
looks like Wendy Williams has gotten married. She actually called him.
According to Hollywood are locked And it looks like she
says that you know, she doesn't share full details until
she's unless she's sitting in front of a camera with
an audience. But she said she recently tie the knot
who knew her new man's name is Henry. He's an
NYPD officer, and she said she was thrilled to finally

(01:10:33):
break the news about her husband to a good friend.
That good friend is Jason Lee. Yeah, I think you
should say allegedly because I highly doubt that story is true.
You think Jason Lee lie? He really? I'm I'm not
saying Wendy didn't say that to him, but I'm just
saying I highly doubt that story is true. Okay, we
just saw her passed out in the window of Louis Batons.
She was napping. She was napping in the window Louis BATONSKA. Well.
She also did admit that she's still dealing with financial stress.

(01:10:55):
She said her amex has stopped working, but William Selby
and her other close friend have been helping her maintained
access to one of her accounts. She said she's trying
to stay positive even while still dealing with family drama,
and she has asked her entire team to keep her
family away from her, with the exception of her son
Kevin Hunter Junior. So I don't know how to it,

(01:11:15):
but that's what she told Jason Lee. All right now,
Kanye West is not happy about Yeasy Day. You know.
Easy Day is brand created holiday for those Yeasis that
they observe annually on August second, that was yesterday now.
In a direct message to the Complex Instagram account, Kanye
shared his disapproval by saying that Adidas made up the

(01:11:38):
easy Day idea without my approval. Then when I brought
back older styles without my approval, pick colors and named
them without my approval, went and hired people that work
for me without my approval, stole my colorways without my approval.
You see where this is going. Stole my styles and
material approaches without my approval, went and hired a GM
of Easy without my approval. So all these things without

(01:12:00):
his approval, he said. Even though they did a Balenciaga collab,
they completely slowed down production on the shoes me and
Demna developed for Gap by trying to bully Gap. Even
though my contract states I can do casual shoes, which
I was doing when I did fashion shows. So he said,
Easy is sixty eight percent of Adidas online sales. God
step in. How could they do that? I thought, you know,

(01:12:21):
Kanye had a full creative control of Adidas. Yeah he
must not. I always thought he had full creative control.
Want to do that without full creative you just can't
do that full creative control. Everything was Maybe it has
to do just the creative part of designing the sneakers
and approval, but I thought he had for branding and marketing.

(01:12:43):
You can't just hire. I don't know what is in
his contract, but apparently that's what he's saying has happened.
So we'll see how much longer. Uh, this partnership goes on.
But uz Day did first take place in twenty nineteen,
and the brand has saved some of its most antisipated
easy drops for that particular event. So I know somebody

(01:13:04):
called me yesterday and said they had a guess on Adidas.
You can sign up so that you can get the
drop in your size. And she was excited because she
actually was able to get a pair. Yeah, a front
of mine did too. Oh got a pair also, Yeah,
it was the same thing. She was very excited about
easy Day and got a couple of pair actually all
right now. Amarian is on the cover of Hello Beautiful,

(01:13:24):
and he talked about the public having a lack of
respect for real artistry. He said, I always tell people
that the difference from when I started and now is
that people feel because it's so easy to be famous
on social media, they don't actually have respect for people
that have been cultivating their art and skills, Like in
basketball or any other sports where there's actual ranks. One
day people love you and then the next people hate you.

(01:13:46):
One day he's the greatest performer, and the next day
it's like, oh he can't sing. Like twenty two years
of work just goes away. So to be able to
continue to focus on the purpose and the intent of
why I'm even here and the legacy I'm creating has
kept my joy intact. And he also said, I think
a lot of people get the concept and the idea
of unbothered misconstrued, because sometimes people think that being unbothered
is not acknowledging certain things. Being unbothered is maintaining your

(01:14:09):
emotional intelligence and power and realizing that this person might
be doing this intentionally. So do I react or do
our response? And I'm very much so a thoughtful person.
So that is him on the cover. So a lot
of girls weighing in on this cover as well. All right,
I'm Angela Yee and that is your rumor reports. What
you got for me? I don't have nothing for you, okay.

(01:14:29):
But for our listeners out there and for everybody that
wants to win a trip to New York for the
twenty twenty two Black Effect Podcast Festival, I am giving
them the keyword right now. The keyword is trapped, Okay,
tr ap the three seven nine one one, all right,
trapped as in the Trap Nerds podcast, because they'll be
at the Black Effect Podcast Festival Sunday, August twenty eight,

(01:14:50):
along with the eighty five South show Horrible Decisions, Reasonably Shady,
and you know, my guy Little Duval was the host,
which Little Duvall is recovering and rehabbing from a bad accident.
So I love I love his how he he turns
everything bad into something good. He's there's no such thing
as bad A little bit. I love it, shut a
little That's that's actually how we all should live. It's all.

(01:15:11):
There's no such thing as good or bad. It's just
one long process of life. But the new host is

DJ and Angela Yee, Charlemagne the guy. We are the
Breakfast Club. Now. I'm shout to Kevin Gates for joining
us today. The good brother Kevin Gates. Always an interesting conversation,
but the most important thing I love about calv right
now is just that how he's being so open and

(01:16:15):
transparent about his his his journey of healing that he
is on, because I mean, you can look at him,
you can look at him and tell, you can talk
to him and tell that he's on a real journey
of healing. I really saw that during the Big Facts podcast,
and you know, he really reflects that everywhere he goes.
So salute to Kevin Gates. I know that, you know,
the wild stuff about sex and everything else is what
you know always goes viral. But you know there's there's

(01:16:36):
medicine and a lot of that candy man, So salute
to Kevin Gate. Absolutely. All right, well I do got
a positive note. But first I want to tell people too, man,
make sure you go scream the first episode of my
late night talk show Hell of a Week. It's on
Paramount Plus right now. The first season is up on
Paramount Plus two, but the first episode of the new

a new episode this Thursday, eleven thirty pm. Right after
the Daily Show. I'll tell you who we got on tomorrow,
