Panic At The Disco Recreate 'High Hopes' Music Video at MTV EMAs

Panic! At The Disco's surreal "High Hopes" video may seem like something that could only be done using movie magic, but singer Brendon Urie took the song's sentiment to new levels (pun intended) by recreating the clip during the band's performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday (November 4).

The set began with pre-recorded footage of Urie scaling down a building in Bilbao, Spain (where the ceremony was being held) before dropping onto the award show's stage from the ceiling. He didn't miss a beat as his feet hit the stage. His band played on platforms around him, as well as a full horn and string section. During the song's refrain, Urie's stage began to rise as he sang "Stay up on that rise / Stay up on that rise and never come down."

Watch the spectacular performance below.

This wasn't the first time Urie and company stunned an award show audience with the horn-filled anthem. They also performed the song on the MTV Video Music Awards stage during the summer.

Aside from being victorious onstage, Panic! At The Disco also took home the award for the Best Alternative category, beating out heavyweights like Fall Out Boy and Twenty One Pilots.
