Nicki Minaj Hands Out Hundreds Of Thanksgiving Turkeys In Queens

A true queen never forgets her people, and Nicki Minaj lived up to her title by giving back to her community.

On Wednesday night (November 21), the "Barbie Dreams" rapper returned home to give out hundreds of turkeys to residents in her native Queens, New York just in time for Thanksgiving. With the help of the New York Police Department, who assisted the lyricist in handing out holiday birds in her hometown of South Jamaica, where Barbs and Kenz alike celebrated her generous arrival.

“Who says rappers don’t give back to the neighborhood they come from?” tweeted Inspector and Commanding Officer Jerry O'Sullivan of the 113th Precinct in Queens, who was present to help Minaj hand out "over 500 turkeys" to a crowd of starstruck citizens pictured in line to receive the charitable offering.

Other images show the "Chun-Li" star, who dressed in a metallic winter jacket, posing for selfies with her followers and Officer O'Sullivan, who quipped in a tweet: "I think the Commanding Officer was negotiating to become Nicki minaj's new manager. Im pulling for you Inspector."

The 35-year-old lyricist also recorded the moment via Instagram Live, and later expressed her gratitude to the NYPD, tweeting, “Thank you guys for holding us down.”

Minaj isn't the only star to give back to her district before the holiday feast. Earlier this month, Bruno Mars previously vowed to donate 24,000 Thanksgiving meals to needy families in his home state of Hawaii this year as well.
