An Ambulance Was Spotted Outside Meghan Markle And Prince Harry's Home

Meghan Markle is officially on maternity leave as her due date inches closer and closer. After being unable to attend Easter mass with the rest of the royal family, fans started to speculate that the Duchess of Sussex could go into labor at any moment. Royal Baby fervor went into a fever pitch on Friday (April 26) when an ambulance and helicopter were spotted outside Meghan and Prince Harry's new home Frogmore Cottage.

ITV royal editor Chris Ship told Good Morning Britain on Friday that Baby Sussex's arrival is very close: "We know the baby is due, in fact I can tell you that the due date is pretty much today,” he said. “Today, tomorrow, we really are in the realms of imminent arrival.”

Despite Meghan's due date being, well, now, the ambulance is reportedly a false alarm. According Telegraph associate editor Camilla Tominey, the ambulance is just a "driver training vehicle picking up food for students while out and about all day, according to South Central Ambulance Service. Keep calm tweeps. It could be another few days yet."

Meghan and Harry will keep Baby Sussex's arrival way more private than previous royal babies, however, they will likely still announce when Meghan has gone into labor. "We will be told when she’s comfortably in labor, when she’s given birth to a boy or a girl and then there will be a photo call of some sort some days afterwards, very small, very controlled and very much arranged by the Sussexes themselves," Ship explained on Good Morning Britain.

After the Sussexes announce the birth, they will most likely take a few days before revealing the baby's name. Right now, the odds-on favorite with professional bookies is Elizabeth, which would be a nice tribute to the Queen.
