Gucci Mane joins forces with Justin Bieber on a new banger called "Love Thru the Computer."
On Friday (May 31), Gucci surprised fans with a mid-tempo track, on which he courted Bieber for the song's computerized hook, an imitation of Zapp & Roger's 1985 funk hit "Computer Love." On the track, Gucci raps of all the digital fantasies he has for the beautiful women he sees on his computer screen, of which the pop star sings, "You can meet me on my laptop/ when we both logged on / I didn't wanna turn off/ that's that computer love."
"Love Thru the Computer" is the latest cut from Gucci since the rapper unveiled Evil Genius in December. The effort generated several singles, including tracks with Quavo, 21 Savage, Lil Pump, and several other big features.
The jam also marks the third team-up for Bieber this year alone, as the crooner appeared as a featured artist on Ed Sheeran's "I Don't Care" and Lil Dicky's "Earth." The former record was also the lead single from Sheeran's upcoming project, No.6 Collaborations Project, releasing July 12. As you know, of course, Bieber is in the process of putting together his much-long-awaited sixth studio album — though it may not release as soon as we hoped this year.
