Lili Reinhart is out here trolling everybody about those Cole Sprouse breakup rumors...again. The Riverdale actress posted and then promptly deleted a sassy comment on Variety's Instagram post about her (ex?) boyfriend, leaving fans confused as ever about the pair's relationship status. Cue that gif of Oprah asking "what is the truth?" because we need to know.
After Cole landed the cover of Variety's Power of Young Hollywood issue, the magazine shared a video of the actor and Lili was caught lurking in the comments. "Sources say he's single now - is he available?" she wrote. It wasn't long before she deleted her comment, though she wasn't quick enough to avoid getting screen shot and shared by the Comments by Celebs account.
This isn't the first time Cole and Lili have cryptically responded to rumors of their split. Despite acknowledging the reports, they've never confirmed or denied whether or not they're true. Lili recently gave fans hope that IRL Bughead lives on with a sweet post on Instagram for Cole's birthday. She wrote a self described "sappy" love poem for the caption, though Cole only commented "follow for follow?" on her tribute.
Cole managed to talk about rumors of the split on the red carpet for the Power of Young Hollywood event without revealing whether the two are still together or not, as well. When asked by Entertainment Tonight if the rumors annoyed him at all, he responded: "No, I don't care. That's the nature of our industry. I think you have to poke fun of it a little bit. It's kind of something you sign up for, but as long as you can keep it light and fun, it's all good."
With Lili's 23rd birthday coming up on September 13, Cole also spoke about what he'll do for his (possible) leading lady. "I'm not a poet. I do not write. I'll figure out something beautiful," he revealed to ET. We'll just have to wait and see what that "something beautiful" is.
