Leave it to Justin Bieber to give his new kitty the most adorable name ever!
Going into the weekend, the “Let Me Love You” musician announced via Instagram that he and wife Hailey Baldwin would be welcoming a new member to their family: a cute new kitten named Sushi. "I’m getting a cat tomorrow and The name will be sushi," Bieber wrote Friday (August 23), quipping, “I can call her sooosh Magooosh and I’m very happy about it. I can also in a baby voice call her TOOSHIEEE BUM BUM or . Shooshi wowl .. read it outloud how it’s spelt . Also sushi Poo.. or just TUNA."
The following day, the “Cold Water” singer officially introduced his followers to the pair’s fur baby — and guessing by the images and videos, Sushi looks to be a Savannah, a cross between a serval and a domestic cat breed. Sushi appears to be loving his new home too. In the clips, the feline can be seen jumping on Bieber’s bed and playing beneath a blanket, as another even shows the cat racing around the couple’s living room.
Sushi might do well to prepare Bieber and Baldwin for real-life parenthood. After all, the “I Don’t Care” star did allude to wanting to start a family with his soulmate on Instagram back in July.
“One day I’ll be doing daddy daughter dates,” he wrote at the time, before quickly clarifying, “not hinting at anything soon I’m not in a rush. I just wanna enjoy you by yourself for a while!” Weeks later, the model also had to put pregnancy rumors to rest after making a “baby fever” comment about Kylie Jenner’s daughter Stormi.
