Maluma & J Balvin Serve Grown & Sexy In Their Video For 'Que Pena'

After years in the making, Maluma and J Balvin's idea for a collaboration has come to fruition and their first-ever team-up, "Qué Pena," has arrived with a scorching music video.

On Friday (September 27), the Collin Tiley-directed clip dropped and it sees the two stars, who both helm from Medellin, Colombia, going head-to-head on the dance floor of a lavish club. While at the luxurious venue, they cozy up to females and show off their swag, but their bromance is front and center, particularly at the beginning of the video when the two lean into their humorous side by mocking one another. Contrary to rumors, there's no rivalry between the two. The clip was filmed at New York's Cipriani Wall Street, the same city that they recorded the cut.

As per a source close to Page Six, the two have been trying to work together for the last four years. "Their schedules and careers rising at the same time; they didn’t have time to connect or be in the same place," the insider revealed. "Maluma visited Balvin at his home in NYC to discuss that it was time. Since then, planning started for the song to be created and a video started to get planned this summer. Both wanted a grown, elegant and sexy scene to focus on the evolution of urban music in fashion."

"Qué Pena" comes after the release of Maluma's LP, 11:11, which dropped in May, and Balvin's collaborative album with Bad Bunny titled Oasis, which dropped at the end of June.
