October 27 would have been Scott Weiland's 52nd birthday, but the Stone Temple Pilots frontman was tragically taken too soon when he died of an accidental overdose on December 3, 2015. To celebrate what would've been his 52nd birthday, the late singer's former bandmate paid tribute with a heartfelt Instagram post.
"Scott... with the recent rerelease of Purple we have delved into to this body of work and are reminded of your brilliance yet again," the band wrote alongside a photo of Weiland donning wings. "You shine Scott and more so... we miss you as you are missed by many. Many !!! Happy Birthday. ❤️"
