It's safe to say that 2020 is the year of Billie Eilish.
On Wednesday (January 29), Eilish broke the news that she will be performing at the 92nd Academy Awards on February 9 — and I am counting down the days!
Her performance will come just weeks after she sang the Grammys with an incredible performance. She also made history by becoming the youngest Grammys winner to snag the top four categories: Record of the Year and Song of the Year for her smash hit “bad guy,” Best New Artist and Album of the Year for her debut LP, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
As of now, we just know the 18-year-old is doing “a special performance” and a song choice is unknown, but if it's anything like her super emotional “when the party's over” performance at the Grammys, viewers will definitely be in for a treat.
On the topic of Oscar songs, Eilish revealed earlier this month that she was given the great honor of writing the theme song for the James Bond film, No Time to Die. And, you guessed it, she's the youngest to ever write and record a James Bond theme song. Seeing as that song will miss the mark for this year's Academy Awards, there's no stopping it from getting nominated at next year's award show.
The party only continues for Eilish as she's going to be heading out on a huge tour this summer dubbed the Where Do We Go? World Tour. You can check out the dates below.
