Buckingham Palace just shut down reports Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are seeking commercial endorsement and appearance requests via an L.A. based media strategy company. Though Meghan and Harry are now free to make their own money and become financially independent, a spokesperson for the palace told The Sun the latest rumors were "categorically untrue."
On Saturday (February 1)Fame by Sheeraz claimed Meghan and Harry were their latest clients in an Instagram post. "Sheeraz, Inc is now taking appearance and endorsement requests for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Sheeraz, Inc clients from Middle East, India, US and Asia can send us official offers and we will take them directly to their representatives," the caption read alongside a photo of the Sussexes.
Fame by Sheeraz is run by Sheeraz Hasan, who describes himself on his website as "an entrepreneur, social media expert and internationally acclaimed real-time amplification and media strategist." The site, as well as his Instagram accounts, lists Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, and more A-listers as his clients.
When Harry and Meghan stepped down as full time working members of the royal family, they vowed to continue to represent Queen Elizabeth's values in whatever business ventures they pursue. The statement Buckingham Palace released read "the Sussexes have made clear that everything they do will continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty."
Meghan is reportedly actively looking for an agent or manager to help her strike future career deals and has already signed on to do voice over work for Disney. It seems unlikely the Sussexes will start hawking detox tea on Instagram anytime soon.
