Twitter Is Dragging Justin Timberlake Over Cringeworthy Interview With SZA

Justin Timberlake is being accused of using a "blaccent" (and a few other things) in an all too cringy interview with SZA.

For his latest appearance on The Ellen Show, JT was joined by SZA and Anderson .Paak to discuss their songs on the new Trolls soundtrack.

While the interview started well, it took a turn when Ellen brought up SZA's new Rolling Stone cover, which also features Normani and Megan Thee Stallion.

"I just want to ask you, for the shoot for Rolling Stone magazine. Was it hot?" Ellen joked while holding up the cover that shows SZA wearing a lace bikini top and baggy pants. *Cue Justin's first cringy moment: "Sis," he said before SZA responded to Ellen's question. "What are you doing to them, sis" JT added, talking over the "Just Us" singer at that point. (To note, "sis," a term of endearment used among queer and black people.)

SZA then explained her outfit choice, calling it a "medium compromise" for the cover's theme of lace and leather. However, Justin wasn't done adding his cringeworthy commentary just yet. The 39-year-old singer went on to put on a "weird, sassy voice," as pointed out by Cosmopolitan, as if to imitate what he believes is a black woman sounds like. "Sometimes you gotta let them know, I've been working out," he said before really bumping up the weird accent, adding, "I been in the gym."

It didn't take long for the interview to start making its rounds on Twitter as people called Justin out for his alleged "blaccent," use of the word "sis," and for talking over SZA.
