Nick Cordero is still not awake, but his wife is hoping things turn around.
On Thursday (April 23), Amanda Kloots took to Instagram Stories to speak about her Tony-nominated-husband, who is still recovering from his emergency leg amputation surgery amid his battle against COVID-19. After admitting that his inner circle is playing the "waiting game" to see if he wakes up from a medically induced coma, Kloots said that there was nothing on his MRI that would show that he won’t wake up. The MRI was performed on his brain and spine. "We are so happy about that because that was a big worry for all of us," she added.
"However, he hasn’t woken up and it's been 12 days out of sedation. The doctors do think he should have woken up by now," she continued, adding that he has been heavily sedated for 13 days.
"In putting that energy and positivity out there, because I do believe he will. He is on Nick time and when he wakes up, we’ll all be there to celebrate it," she explained. "As we are waiting for him to wake up, while he is still sleeping, they are slowly weaning off his body off assistance, which is just great news. Small little wins."
If you want to help the couple cover the cost of hospital bills, a GoFundMe account has been created in his honor.
