Natalia Bryant honored her late sister, Gianna, on what would have been her 14th birthday.
The 17-year-old daughter of the late Kobe Bryant remembered her little sister with a sweet birthday tribute post. Taking to Instagram on Friday (May 1) with an adorable throwback photo of her embracing Gianna, Natalia captioned the sweet memory, “Happy 14th Birthday Gigi! ❤️ I miss your smile everyday but I know you’re always smiling down on us from heaven with daddy. I LOVE YOU. 👼”
As fans know, Kobe and Gianna tragically lost their lives in a fatal helicopter crash along with seven other passengers in Calabasas, California in January.
The sisters’ mother, Vanessa Bryant, followed by posting a heartfelt snapshot of Gianna on social media with an emotional message. “Happy 14th Birthday to my sweet baby girl, Gianna,” Vanessa captioned a sweet picture with her daughter. “Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever.”
Friends of the family also joined in celebrating Gianna’s birthday, as Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Zendaya and others sent gifts to Vanessa and their daughters for the emotional occasion. Among them was also Kobe’s former Los Angeles Lakers teammate, Pau Gasol, and his wife, who had a custom angel-inspired cake delivered to the family in Gianna’s memory.
Gianna is survived by her mother Vanessa and sisters Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and Capri, 10 months.
