Jenelle Evans' Husband Arrested For Assault With A Deadly Weapon

Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans' husband David Eason was arrested this weekend.

According to TMZ, who broke the news Saturday (June 13), Eason was booked the night before in Columbus County, North Carolina, on two separate charges including assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats.

Not much else has been revealed as far what led up to the violent altercation, but the outlet indicated a fight broke out between Eason and a couple of Evans' male friends on Friday (June 12) when she returned to her home to retrieve her belongings. Apparently, Eason "pistol-whipped" one of her friends over a misunderstanding about a set of keys.

Hours after the news of her husband's arrest made headlines, Evans took to social media with a public statement updating fans of her well-being. "I just want to let the public, tabloids, and my fans know that IM OK, IM SAFE AND SO ARE THE KIDS!" she wrote in a Facebook post.

"I'm going to take a few days out to myself to gather my thoughts and focus on what's going on so I won't be on social media much," Evans continued. "I love you all for the support that you all have shown me and I'll be stronger and better than ever soon!"

Speaking exclusively to Celebernation, Evans intimated her relationship with Eason was over. "Im shaking and saddened by this, its time for me to move on from this relationship and find happiness for my kids and myself elsewhere," she told the outlet of the incident.

Evans previously announced she was divorcing Eason in October 2019, however, they reconciled in May. "I don’t care what they say, I love you no matter what," she wrote of Eason in an Instagram post revealing they were back together. "Here’s to new beginnings." Evans was met with a ton of backlash for getting back with Eason, who admitted to killing her pet dog last year.

Per TMZ, Eason has since been released on an unsecured bond.
