One thing lead to another for a teenage Florida driver over the weekend. Nassau County deputies said a 15-year-old driver crashed an SUV into a swimming pool at a home on Eastwind Drive, ClickOrlando reported. The incident happened after 1 a.m. Sunday (November 1), and authorities said two teenage passengers were inside the vehicle.
No one was hurt in the crash, but two homeowners reported damage from the crash, according to the county's sheriff's office. Authorities also said the teen driver, who was driving without a license, tried fleeing on foot from the scene. A deputy and a K-9 caught up with him, and the 15-year-old was taken into custody, the website said.
A photo shows the white SUV almost completely submerged in the pool. Structures around the pool are damaged, as well.
Some other strange events were reported across Florida before Halloween weekend. For example, one Florida man went on a crime spree that involved him breaking into homes, stealing vehicles and eating victim's foods. A Florida woman robbed a Spectrum store with an object that looked like a crowbar; authorities said she got upset over a refund and charges on her account.
