Dolly Parton and Michael Bublé are getting fans in the holiday spirit with the release of the music video for their new duet, "Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas."
The clip finds an animated Parton and Bublé performing the song together in front of a fire at "Holly Dolly's Ski Resort" as a snowstorm blows outside. "I want to cuddle up and cozy down with you / Nestle up against your skin, do anything that we want to," the pair sings. "Makin' love, hugs and touch / And steal some kisses, too / I want a cuddle up, cozy down Christmas with you."
"Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas," written by Parton herself, was inspired by the idea of mothers and their children.
“I wrote ‘Cuddle Up, Cozy Down’ — people might find this surprising, they might not even like it, they might not find it it sexy, but it’s the truth — I wrote this while I was cuddling up and cozying down with one of my little nieces and nephews, thinking about mothers and their babies,” Parton explained of the track.
“It’s really about being there with your little baby,” she continued. “And later, I thought, well, I can make this into a more romantic thing, so I did… and I cuddled up with Michael Bublé on this one! He did a great job. He made it sexy.”
The song comes from Parton's recently-released holiday album, A Holly Dolly Christmas. In addition to her collaboration with Bublé, the album also features several other special guests including Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Fallon and more.
