Authorities were called to a scene in Florida after reports of a vehicle ramming into another vehicle and a woman screaming for help, according to ClickOrlando. Calls to 911 came in around 9:30 p.m. Sunday (November 8) from the 2200 block of South Atlantic in Daytona Beach Shores.
Port Orange police said 29-year-old Hilary Henderson met up with a couple in the area with plans to share a hotel room together for the night. He became “enraged with the couple over money for the room," they added.
How did Henderson allegedly respond? By repeatedly ramming the couple's car with his own. Investigators claim Henderson hit the victims' car so hard, the vehicle moved several feet. They also said the door was so smashed, it couldn't open.
Video from bystanders also captured what happened after Henderson allegedly slammed into the victims' car.
The woman reportedly got out of the car and ran for safety. She even attempted to jump over a concrete wall but was unsuccessful. Henderson allegedly tried to run her over and can be heard on the video yelling, “I’m going to kill you."
"The victim was able to get to a place where Henderson’s vehicle couldn’t hit her as she screamed 'please, help.' She was able to run into a 7-Eleven but Henderson began attacking the male victim," ClickOrlando wrote. Henderson fled the scene, but police arrested him. He was charged with attempted murder.
