Drake Shares Video Of His 'Confident Steps' Five Weeks After Knee Surgery

Drake is on the mend after having surgery on his knee.

On Monday (December 7), the hip-hop titan, 34, took to Instagram Story to share footage of "some confident steps" five weeks out from his surgery. "Hope all of you are healing well," he wrote in reference to the tumultuous year. The chart-topper previously shared a multi-photo post of moments from his recovery, but there's still no word on what happened to his leg. Many fans have suspected that the star tore his ACL.

In late October, the Canadian rapper unveiled a photo of himself in bed with a knee brace on his right leg. "New challenged unlocked," he captioned the shot. Shortly after, Drizzy deleted the post, only to repost the image with an inspirational caption. "I actually want to use this post to send love and motivation to anybody else that 2020 let loose on," he wrote, adding, "Start writing the best bounce back story NOW."

Drizzy's upcoming album, Certified Lover Boy, is said to be dropping in January 2021, which should give the rapper even more time to recover from his procedure. The upcoming collection has been compared to his 2016 effort, Views, by the star, who is anticipating a comparable reception to the project. "They hated on Views just like they will [Certified Lover Boy]," Drake recently told a fan during an Instagram Live, adding, "but it’s music to evolve to."
