Miley Cyrus Stunned 'Plastic Hearts' Is No. 1 On The Rock Albums Chart

Miley Cyrus is a bona fide rockstar. After revealing her seventh studio album was going to be full-fledged rock, with features from Joan Jett, Billy Idol and Stevie Nicks, Plastic Hearts debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Rock Albums chart with 60,000 units sold. And the singer couldn't believe it.

"It’s official. #PlasticHearts is the #1 rock record in the country," Cyrus wrote on Twitter. "My mind is blown and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank YOU to every creative collaborator involved on this project! If one person was missing I would not be writing this message."

The post was accompanied by a video of Cyrus' reaction when her crew told her the news. "What? No," she said, stunned. She then asked the person who told her to "fact check" because she just couldn't believe it.

See her reaction below.

A No. 1 album shouldn't be surprising for the pop star; however, Cyrus beat out some formidable rockers to claim the top spot including the Smashing Pumpkins, who put out their new album CYR, and Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, who released his No Fun Mondays covers album on the same day as Plastic Hearts, and AC/DC, who reigned the rock chart for the past two weeks.

Cyrus is the fourth woman to hit No. 1 on the Rock Albums chart this year, following Fiona Apple (Fetch the Bolt Cutters), Hayley Williams (Petals for Armor), and Alanis Morissette (Such Pretty Forks in the Road). According to Billboard, this is the first time since 2012 that at least four women have ascended to the No. 1 spot in a single year.
