Chrissy Teigen is “slowly healing” after losing her third child to miscarriage earlier this year.
Months after sharing the devastating news, the model has reportedly entered a program for emotional healing after she and her husband John Legend’s son Jack died due to pregnancy complications in September. “Chrissy is going through intense grief counseling at the moment. It is going to be a long and hard journey,” an insider told Us Weekly, adding that the 35-year-old is “doing her best to work on herself and stay positive.”
Teigen — who also shares daughter Luna and son Miles with the musician — broke the heartbreaking news in an emotional Instagram post.
"To our Jack - I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you,” Teigen wrote at the time. “We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.”
These reports of Teigen’s seeking grief counseling after Jack's passing comes weeks after the Craving author opened up about her healing process, which she described as “brutal, exhausting, sad, physically challenging” and “mentally painful.”
“I can make it up my stairs only stopping once or twice instead of every other, and can get out of the bathtub all by myself as long as I have the promise john will dry me off,” an optimistic Teigen explained to followers, before concluding, “I think it’s happening ❤️”
