These Virginia Cities Are Considered Among The Most Caring In The U.S.

Three Virginia cities are considered among the most caring city in the United States, according to a recent study.

WalletHub.com listed Virginia Beach at No. 5, Chesapeake at No. 10 and Norfolk at No. 33 on its list of the "Most Caring Cities in the U.S." released on Monday (December 14.) Virginia Beach received a 66.38 overall score, while Chesapeake scored 62.85 and Raleigh scored 58.12.

WalletHub said it compared the 100 largest cities in the United States "across 39 key indicators of a compassionate spirit." Cities were scored based on "caring for the community," "caring for the vulnerable" and "caring for the work force."

Virginia Beach ranked second in "caring for the community," 13th for "caring for the vulnerable" and 22nd in "caring for the workforce." Chesapeake ranked eighth in "caring for the community," 24th for "caring for the vulnerable" and 20th in "caring for the workforce."

Norfolk ranked 20th in "caring for the community," 67th for "caring for the vulnerable" and 19th in "caring for the workforce."

WalletHub reports more Americans have felt the need to care more in 2020 amid the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, high unemployment, the fallout of the presidential election and several other factors.
