Runaway June's Naomi Cooke is engaged to Boys Like Girls' frontman, Martin Johnson.
People confirms Johnson proposed to Cooke on Sunday (December 13) after a year and a half of dating. On Tuesday (December 15), the country trio member turned to Instagram to share the news with fans, showing off her ring.
"By the look of my nails, he surprised me," she captioned the selfie with the "Head Over Heels" rocker.
Fans, fellow country stars, and Runaway June bandmates, Jennifer Wayne and Natalie Stovall shared congratulatory messages with the couple in the comments.
"I mean. THE BEST!!!! So so so so excited for y'all!!!" Stovall wrote, while Wayne added, "Eppppicc 🔥🔥🔥."
Country singer, Carly Pearce shared some love writing, "OH MY GAHHHHH Congrats!"
The couple has musically worked together in the recent past as well. Martin co-wrote "Christmas On The Radio," one of the original tracks on Runaway June's new holiday project When I Think About Christmas, released in October.
"I'm just so excited. We've had the chance to get really creative with it," Cooke previously told popculture.com of the EP. "And that's the fun part about Christmas music is that with the classic songs, people already loved them. So we really do get to just put our own spin on something that is already welcomed by a lot of people."
When I Think About Christmas is the group's first official project with Stovall, following the departure of Hannah Mulholland earlier this year.
"There are a number of beautiful, talented, hungry, hard-working young women in town," Cooke previously told People of their new member, "but finding someone who knows what it's like to be on the road, who knows the difficulty of life on the road, who knows what it's like to work with a crew of guys ... Natalie knows. She's just such a good vibe."
