Sutter Health has announced they have opened three new COVID-19 vaccination pop-up locations throughout the Sacramento region.
The clinics are placed in Sacramento, Roseville, and Modesto, according to ABC10. The Sacramento and Roseville locations will have 15 vaccination stations. More vaccination stations will be ready to use once more resources become available.
Sutter Health is currently prioritizing inoculating patients 75 and older as well as health care workers.
All three locations have a capacity to vaccinate over 2,000 patients per day.
Each vaccination station will have one health professional to administer the vaccine including a medical assistant, an LPN, an RN, a physician, or a physician assistant, Sutter Health project manager Joyce Swan told the Sacramento Bee.
After receiving the shot, patients will schedule their follow-up appointment and proceed to the observation room where they will sit and wait for about 15 to 30 minutes.
Patients can make appointments through Sutter's online patient portal. They can also schedule on the My Health Online app or by calling 844-987-7115.
As the state struggles to efficiently roll out the COVID-19 vaccine, Governor Gavin Newsom announced they would be expanding the age range of those eligible to get the vaccine.
On Sunday, January 31, California reported a drop of more than 25% in COVID-19 hospitalizations, according to ABC10.
