Zack Snyder Teases Jared Leto’s New Joker Look For ‘Justice League’ Recut

We're a little over a month away until the debut of Zack Snyder‘s highly-anticipated recut of Justice League and the director has given us the first look at Jared Leto's Joker.

The Snyder Cut was conceived after Snyder left filming of Justice League after Warner Bros. disapproved of his direction for the film. Fans then started an online petition to get Synder's version of the film and many of the actors backed it.

This director's cut will show fans exactly what Synder intended on making the original Justice League and will also star Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, and more.

Snyder took to Twitter on Tuesday (February 2) to tweet a photo of the Thirty Seconds to Mars singer in character and fans, naturally, freaked out.

“Amazing character you created. Honored to have our worlds collide,” he tweeted along with the black and white photo. Unfortunately, Snyder couldn't reveal the full Joker look so Leto is blurred in the background while he holds a Joker card that is in focus.

While it's blurry, you can make out that the character has a drastic new look including long hair — Leto's portrayal of the villain in Suicide Squad sees the character with a more gangster, slicked-back look.

Fans immediately compared the new look to the late Heath Ledger's infamous Joker in The Dark Knight.

“Best looking and most sadistic JOKER. I'm calling it,” one fan tweeted while another wrote, “Whaaaat the f***. Is Ledger about to get a run for his money?”

The Snyder Cut is reported to be four hours long and is out March 18 on HBO Max.
