Miranda Lambert and hubby Brendan McLoughlin are back home in Nashville, Tennessee, safe and sound after cutting a road trip short.
The country singer-songwriter took to Instagram, detailing the high-speed hit-and-run accident that the couple endured on the interstate through Atlanta, Georgia.
The culprit, “in a small car with temp plates was driving erratically and tried to squeeze between us and [a] semi truck going 70 on I-20 W,” Lambert explained of the collision. “It hit the airstream on the passenger side and sent us into the left lane.”
“We fishtailed pretty good but got on the shoulder as quickly as possible to assess the damage,” the Bluebird singer continued. “Nobody was hurt thank the good Lord. But nobody stopped either and the car sped away. (Cool Bro) We are so thankful that nothing worse happened.”
Luckily, the couple’s vehicle was safe to drive back so they “hauled home” after making a report. Lambert also called “mama right away” to thank her for her prayers, which she makes daily at 4:30 a.m.
Lambert shared several images in the post, including a few sunset photos and a video showing the damage to their vehicle.
“Thanks to @airstream_inc and @southland_rv, we are gonna be repaired and back to our vagabond ways soon,” Lambert wrote. “Anyway, overall it was an amazing trip and we learned we have a lot to see and a lot to be grateful for.”
