Phoenix has been named as one of the best regional economies in America.
The rankings were released by the Milken Institute this week.
According to the study, the Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler region came in at number seven on the list. The city jumped up from number 12 last year to take a top 10 spot for 2021.
The Milken Institute's website stated, "The top-performing metros have cohesive strategies allowing them to weather economic storms and leverage their assets more effectively. The experience of these metros also provides a benchmark for leaders in other regions seeking to promote sustainable growth and prosperity.""

- Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown, TX
- Salt Lake City, UT
- Raleigh-Cary, NC
- Boise, ID
- Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler, AZ
- Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin, TN
- Ogden-Clearfield, UT
- Huntsville, AL
