Dashcam footage caught the moment a train smashed into a big rig's trailer on a crossing in Salem, Oregon, according to Daily Mail.
The trucker appeared to be driving through a crossing near Court Street Northeast and Center Street Northeast around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday (February 23), reporters said. In the video, the barriers begin coming down but the truck continues to drive through. One of the gates gets caught on top of the trailer.
As the big rig stops and begins to reverse out, the train comes and plows through the trailer. A part of it can be seen flying through the crossing. The train reportedly didn't derail, but kept going until it stopped. Police said no one was hurt in the incident, and the intersection was shut down for several hours.
Reporters said 41-year-old Sean Smith, who owns the dashcam, can be heard shouting, "Oh that was f***ing awesome!" in the video.
"A recent ice storm in the area had caused electrical outages throughout the city which affected lights and signals so the truck driver allegedly couldn't tell a train was coming until it was too late," Daily Mail wrote.
